As you know, aside from being a holistic life coach, I’m also an elementary school teacher. I know firsthand how stressful teaching can be. We often give up our lunch and planning times to tend to students, contact parents, or attend meetings. Teaching does not just start the minute the students arrive or the minute they leave. We work before and after our contracted hours to get everything done we need to. As teachers, we put our own needs second and the needs of our students and families first.
It’s not an easy job being a teacher. As you begin your school year, I wanted to create a very special episode for my fellow teachers all about creating a healthy work-life balance. So, here are 3 tips that will help you start your school year off on the right foot, and if it hasn’t gotten on the right foot, you can change that. Learn ways you can maintain a healthy work-life balance so that you control your job as a teacher instead of the other way around - letting teaching control you.
Teachers, I also want to connect with you. So, after listening to this episode, please send me a private message on Instagram or Facebook letting me know how your school year is going and which of the 3 tips you will incorporate into your school year. Also, share this episode with your teacher friends and colleagues so they too can feel balanced this school year.
