The word of God instructs us to be discerning in our lives and to use wisdom in our decision making. There is a quote that says, “Discernment is the ability to see things for what they really are and not for what you want them to be.” However, this can be particularly challenging when it comes to matters of the heart. In the haze of love and romance it's easy to lose sight of how things really are because you are so desperately hanging onto the ideal of what you want the relationship to be.
Dating a narcissist can be an emotionally and spiritually damaging experience that results in long-lasting effects on one's self-esteem and mental health. Narcissists are often very controlling, manipulative people who use a combination of deceit, secrets, and head games such as gaslighting to keep their partners confused and unable to trust their own instincts and emotions.
The aim of this episode is to help you know what to look for in order to avoid stumbling into the pitfalls of being the next unsuspecting victim of a narcissist.
