(00:00):
You've chosen a podcast from Low Moon Outsiders. Enjoy!
(00:30):
Okay. One of the arrows sinks deeply into the torso, and the other one cranes off the top of his head but draws a line of blood.
And that ends Missile Fire unless somebody else had one. You do have your spell which was available, although it's not jumping out.
Okay. Melee 9. Mind you, Lucas is charging in, so whatever your initiative was, you can attack him in the next segment.
(00:57):
Okay. Melee 8. Well, I will attack him in 5. Okay. Melee 7. Melee 6.
Is the pendant we got from that fairy adventure, or that I got from that fairy adventure, doing anything in combat?
One of the eight combat simulators. No. I have already, I think I already asked that question.
Okay. 5? Yes, 5. I cannot flurry this round, correct? Correct.
(01:23):
Correct.
15 to hit, 18 points.
Okay. Put that together with his arrows and you're getting there.
You already look rather harried.
Okay. Any other 5s?
4s?
(01:46):
Did you roll this again? And you have a plus 2 dex bonus, you caught that right?
Oh, oops. I'm getting harried in my adventure.
You're in 5? Okay.
Alright. So, Caleb is playing Liam, the boy pumping the billows. So you can continue to pump the billows, which is what the slave master has been ordering you to do.
(02:07):
Or now seeing the party entering the room to potentially save you, you could assist in some way instead.
You'll notice that the only weapon you have is your knife shiv, basically, that you have.
Can I backstab the blacksmith?
You could, yes. You could try.
I will chance you back.
Okay. So you're in 5, so you'd be there to potentially do that in 4. Anybody have 4? Alright.
(02:31):
I'm not going to cross over the card.
Okay.
She'll carry the first thing.
Okay. The hammer, most likely.
Alright.
He's going to lose that arm.
He's going to lose what?
He's going to lose that arm.
Yeah. He's getting close to the point of structure right now.
Alright. So in 4, you are there and you may attempt to knife the blacksmith, who is already significantly wounded. So knife him well.
(02:57):
Is it D20 to hit?
Yep.
18?
Okay. So you're definitely hitting. Alright. So you're going to get D3, first of all. Actually, I'm sorry. Knife is D2 versus large. D2.
Then you get your bonus for your knife, which is I think 2.
Yes.
So that makes 4 times 3 is 12.
And that puts him down exactly.
(03:19):
Good for that.
He just stopped the guy from hammering you. He did exactly at zero. Put him at exactly at zero.
12 points.
And he was in initiative 3, too. He backstabbed him in 4 and the guy was going to hammer in 3. Let's see what happened. He would have hit.
Did he come with a shield there?
Yeah. He had like AC negative 11.
That's low.
(03:40):
They have a really good back home.
The shield makes a difference. He probably would have taken all the structure with the arm.
Okay. So we're in initiative 3. This is not good.
Is the stone creature moving?
Kind of. I mean, it's not a statue. It's moving that much, but it's not like trying to get out of the circle. It's inside a low wall. About a foot high wall.
Okay. So 3, initiative 3.
(04:03):
It's like a snail insulting me.
2.
Yo.
Okay. So we're in initiative 2. Lucas had charged in.
Astur was still at the door.
When did you go 1?
They're twice as fast as you are.
I could make all of my attack before you.
That's right.
Not attacks.
All of my attack. Okay. So was it Herak? Who was in the rear? Chiron?
(04:25):
Yeah, Chiron.
Alright. Astur is staying at the door.
So are either Herak or Clune charging in?
Or both?
We were next to them.
Clune will charge in.
Okay.
Alright.
Alright. So you charge in. You see the giant goes down. His fiery giant sized long sword that he was making is laying on the floor now.
(04:52):
His hammer is laying on the floor. He's laying across the anvil and mostly on the floor.
Lucas is there and Liam is behind the giant.
And the Slavemaster is over here. The rock dude is right here and the fiery forge is right here.
The Slavemaster dude is the next danger basically if you're going to engage something.
(05:15):
Yeah, she'll go towards the Slavemaster.
I'm working with this even though it's not giant sized.
Okay. Alrighty. So you're in three.
Two.
Two. Alright. So you come through the door and you're headed this way.
Alright. So actually he slashes his long barbed whip successfully and he strikes the wall in front of the stone man.
(05:46):
The wall crumbles to bits in about a three or four foot wide area and the stone man issues forth.
By that time you're already past him so he's not going to stop you.
I guess the billows probably really aren't blowing now.
(06:08):
It is loud in here but we don't really need the billows going because he stopped pumping them so.
Drink water, breathe air, reverse bath.
There's air in the water.
It's bubbly water.
(06:29):
In the water.
Thank you sir. Have a drink.
There's air in the water.
Okay.
Alright. So you will arrive at him at the end of the round and can attack if you want.
(06:51):
However, Harik had what to.
So you're open to go through the door if you choose.
And you're going where?
I was taking in the view.
You've got the stone man here who just crushed the wall in front of him.
This guy is a fire giant with a barbed whip that looks like it's probably about 20 feet long.
(07:13):
He is charging him.
This guy is actually down.
Lucas in front of him and Liam is behind him.
And the fire is lipping at Liam's back.
And the...
Can I...what does the...
Any details about the stone thing in terms of golem, elemental, gale of door, anything?
(07:40):
Is it natural or is it constructed?
Elemental.
It's probably an earth elemental of a smallish size.
(08:01):
I doubt I can convince him to get through here. So I'm going to probably resort to stone shape.
Okay. On it.
Let's see what that does to him.
Okay. So you come in the room and...hold on. Roll it.
Roll a d20.
(08:23):
10.
Okay. So you know that it will probably damage him. It probably will not kill him.
However, the low lying wall which must have been restraining him was also made of stone.
If that matters.
Well, if it was restraining him it was probably magic. Do I think that just reforming it from normal stone would fix that?
(08:48):
I mean you would reform it from what it was made up before.
I will do that.
Because there's also the chance that he's just been commanded not to leave. Not to pass this wall.
Right. Okay.
So that's basically instantaneous. You do have to shape clay to make it happen. So just roll a normal dex jack.
(09:10):
8.
So it appears that the broken pieces of stone, which it really wasn't disintegrated or anything.
It seemed like it was kind of under pressure. When he zapped it with the whip it kind of crumbled into half dozen pieces.
And so it shaped back up and the thing had surged forward and as the wall fills back in it appears as if it is repulsed.
(09:38):
Like it stops right at the wall.
And then it kind of spins around and throws a little bit of a tantrum and then turns back around to look at what's going on in the room.
Waiting to see if it's going to get another opportunity.
Just so you know that probably just made it really bad.
Okay.
What happened?
He used stone shape. He thought he was freeing as I put the wall back up.
(10:02):
Yes, he used stone shape to reform the low wall around the elemental.
So it threw a little bit of a fit.
Okay.
We have to kill the Slavemaster before he can break the wall again.
And so we are at the end of the round and you may attack him.
(10:25):
Kloon will attack with both daggers and...
Oh, I see. So you can charge over there attacking at the end of the round as well.
But it would be after Kloon, technically. At the end, after the end.
She'll attack and she'll do 10 points of breath weapon on the right-handed dagger.
So I'll left-click.
(10:47):
So just FYI, he appears to be an undamaged fire giant.
Oh, I didn't want to do breath weapon.
So be aware, he's probably built like a tank.
Alright, I'll do 20.
I'll do 20 to start.
(11:09):
She does have a limit on how much she can do without hurting herself.
Okay, on just one.
I thought you said I couldn't do both.
Oh, yeah, because they're attacking.
Yeah, it makes sense.
On the right-handed, to the left-handed I rolled 16 to hit.
Okay, that's definitely a thing.
And then that's a...
(11:30):
Three.
This is a large, plus three.
Oh wait, you rolled a two?
I rolled a two, sorry.
You got four points?
And then the right-handed...
Are your daggers normal daggers?
No, they're not.
Oh, and 17's right.
Okay, you're good.
(11:51):
17 to hit on the second hit.
Six.
Three.
Six, plus the five.
Seven.
Plus the breath weapon, that's 20.
What was the damage on the six?
Six.
Okay, so he gets zotted.
(12:13):
So, Caleb, you see she stabs him with the dagger, but as she does so, there's a flash of white light.
Electricity plays along her somehow and goes through the dagger into her target.
Also, the dancing lights in the room, which really weren't needed, go out.
Is there a way to get behind him?
No, he's standing in the corner, so...
(12:35):
I mean, maybe, like, you could try sneaking in there, like crawling along the floor kind of thing.
Yeah, you could try, it's risky.
When the giant... Does Lucas see Liam kill the guy, like, he notices that Liam was the one who did it?
Yes.
Basically, you see him leave his post, while you're fighting the giants, he leaves his post and comes up and goes,
(12:58):
With his knife.
Okay, so, Lucas will turn to Leo and say,
Hide! And then he'll turn and charge at the beginning of the next round.
Okay.
Alright.
(13:23):
So, first of all, everyone's rolling under stiff.
Oh, no, Kai-Ran didn't attack yet. Sorry.
Yep.
(13:44):
Is it?
Okay.
That D12's not really helping you out that much, is it?
No, I'm going to be using the dagger.
There's a lot of variability, unfortunately, in the D12, a lot of variability.
I haven't rolled below a six, so...
Okay.
Missile fire.
(14:06):
Okay, let me think for a second here.
Okay, his third will called shot, so he doesn't potentially hit you guys.
Okay.
Any other missile fire?
Okay.
And then we go to Melee-9.
(14:30):
Melee-8.
Melee-7.
Okay, so, Slave Master.
Okay, so, he's whipping the whip up over the head and he lashes out with the whip toward Lucas.
And then all of a sudden, Klum feels something grab her leg from behind and it is pulled back and you fall flat on your face on the floor.
(15:02):
You rolled crappy damage.
Ten points.
One off is minimum.
Okay, and basically what happens is you're drug backwards on the floor and then you're slung sideways into the side of the anvil, but you don't take any additional structural damage from it or anything.
Ouch.
(15:24):
I am also an angel.
Okay.
So, where did you want to try to hide?
Out of the room.
Okay, so the only way out right now because the door is locked, unless you're going to pick the lock, because I'm sure you don't have the lock picks, would be the door that they came in past a sturd where he's standing there aiming his bow.
(15:45):
Or you could just hide down like behind the anvil or something.
You do know that the Slave Master will not come near the fire, even though he's a fire driver.
The whole time you were here he would never come near the forge. Well, that might have been because he was afraid of the blacksmith who's now dead.
I want to go towards the guy with the bow. In the meantime, I want to also yell, bring him to the fire.
(16:12):
Okay, bring him to the fire and then he's running out of the room towards the bow.
Okay, initiative seven, Melee.
Okay, so you are not in Melee with the guy that they are fighting.
(16:33):
He just slung Clume onto the floor in front of your feet basically.
You're going to charge around her and take her spot.
Okay, so we'll take you two segments to get there. You said you were seven?
Yes.
Okay, so you will arrive in five.
Okay, in that meantime, just FYI, he did shift towards the door slightly.
(17:04):
Interested in giving financially to Low Moon and support the campaign?
Next, LMGIVE, that's LMGIVE to 419-419-0095.
And we're Melee six, Melee five.
(17:25):
I am arriving.
You're arriving.
Cold shot is also arriving.
What's the earliest name?
AC-2? That hit before, right?
AC-2 hits.
21 points.
420 does have hit points but not the AC of a normal fire giant.
(17:49):
Poorly clad fire giant. Perhaps even scantily clad.
Lightly, I would say lightly.
The Smith was scantily. This guy is just lightly.
Fire giant, hula dancer, he just had a second job.
Okay.
(18:22):
So an arrow soars past the side of your head and actually sticks in the corner of the fire giant's head.
It sticks probably in about two inches.
And then the fire giant strikes at you with his offhand.
Shield parry.
Which you successfully shield parry.
(18:45):
And there's no trial.
I imagine it's less likely for me.
That was five.
Four.
He is there with an arrow in his head.
Who's he attacking?
You.
(19:06):
Again?
No, that's not what I'm doing right now.
He's done. He has attacks for the round or done.
That's what I thought. I was like, he's got a master stroke.
That would be scary.
Master punch.
Master pugilist.
Okay. Flames jump from the forge and strike Lucas.
(19:30):
And you will take 17 points of damage.
He's about 15 feet away.
The fire is either environmental hazard or slightly scented.
What was the last thing? Or slightly what?
Which seems more likely.
I really thought you said scented and I'm trying to figure out how does that apply?
(19:54):
Well, now it smells like burning hell.
Lavender fire.
Okay.
And also to be clear, Liam had made the door by that time.
He is well out of reach of the fire.
Okay. We're in initiative four and three.
Go ahead, sir. You're involved in something.
(20:17):
I strike from a long sword.
You may roll the hit, sir.
AC3.
AC3 is a hit exactly. He is AC3.
Okay. All right. We've graduated from D4 range.
That's good.
Nine points.
Might be enough. Let me add all this up here.
(20:41):
And he goes down.
Okay.
He caves into, like at the last second, he twists like he's going to try to get out the door, which is as far as you know still locked, and he falls into the doorway.
Call him Chiron, slayer of giants.
(21:06):
He does fall on and snap Astur's arrow.
I thought you were going to say Asturd's leg.
No, he's all the way across the room.
Yikes.
He's a bit away.
Okay.
Okay.
(21:47):
Say what is.
There's got to be water.
There doesn't have to be water anywhere.
Okay, we're going to go to a new round.
First of all,
but you can do that in a supplier.
(22:09):
Do I have to begin the round?
Yes.
Yes, you do.
So we are in missile fire.
You are outside the door.
Caleb, you are outside the door behind the Bowman.
(22:42):
You are standing on the ground in front of the porch.
You are standing on the ground in front of the porch.
(23:12):
Does the charm from the caravan lead prevent fire damage?
It does not.
Does the fairy pen lead to fire?
I'm going to write something on it.
Does my ear look like it?
Yes.
It really does.
Where did you get that from?
The dragon?
The dragon.
The little green one.
(23:35):
Is it in other life stones?
That'd be funny.
Are you wearing it?
Yeah, I've been wearing it since then.
Maybe you just look fabulous.
I do look fabulous.
I've always looked fabulous.
Oh, the pendant just lets us go back though.
(23:56):
We don't even know if it's magic.
Nobody ever checked.
Rabbit the Gideon man.
Fairy, oh fairy.
I thought you were passing a note on a novel.
I'm passing to Caleb.
I have to be fairly specific.
I'm not sure even if this is enough specific.
(24:18):
The note?
The word note is cute.
By Pastor David's Gator.
The word note doesn't necessarily fly short, but it doesn't necessarily define it.
Well, but a D&D note is generally quite short.
(24:39):
People say a quick note.
But I'd say it's implied it's short.
I remember the day when letters used to range ten pages.
A note was only one or two.
As you know, a pen is a player.
So you can't really do anything to your initiative.
What is your initiative?
You can yell before that if you wanted to yell something.
(25:02):
But as far as moving to go do something or whatever, you can't do anything until eight.
Don't touch the fire element.
He's yelling, don't touch it.
Is that what you're saying?
Don't touch the fire element.
Don't hurt it.
He says don't hurt the fire elemental.
(25:23):
We're in missile fire.
Is the fire master down?
Yes.
Just pull back.
You can retreat out of here.
I agree.
Does the guy's hammer look particularly nice?
Pretty much, yeah.
Can I grab that hammer?
Sure.
That would be like a hand and a half hammer.
(25:48):
So we're trying to retreat?
Yeah.
Maybe I can retrain my weapon.
No one was actually in nearly with it.
So as you try to retreat from the room, it's not going to get any free attacks.
Assuming everyone is making a concerted effort.
Are you pulling back?
Is Liam pulling back?
Going inside the room to get out of the way so they can get out?
Okay.
(26:09):
So Lucas is going out?
Yep.
He will stand to the side of the door and allow the others to leave first.
As soon as the last person leaves.
So you're going out and waiting for people to go past you or you're waiting in the room?
(26:34):
Waiting in the room.
Okay.
That's different than what was said.
Yeah, but it's glowing hot.
Is that the end of the key?
Probably.
I mean it's hot.
It's not glowing as hot as a blade, but it's all made of metal.
Hasn't been quenched so it's not hard to see at this point.
(26:58):
It's probably just a sword.
Maybe.
Is it a long sword?
Okay, fire giants do make great cuts.
I mean it would be hard.
You were close enough, maybe you did see that the slave master did have what for him was
a short sword but would serve as a long sword that he never drew.
(27:20):
And then he also had a dagger and a bag and then he had the blade of whip.
He didn't really have a long sword or anything because he's still writing.
Right.
I mean you don't really have that kind of time anyway.
If you stay there very long you're risking dealing with the fire elemental.
I'll just grab his sword.
I just want to have a nice little weapon so that we can...
So you can either try to just pull it off, in which case something will probably tear,
(27:45):
or pull it out of the sheath, which would be it's un-sheathed, or unbuckle his belt.
He uses my sword to cut his belt.
Okay.
So we just roll it to hit.
14.
No problem.
So you cut the belt and then just roll a dex check to make the whole thing happen pretty
quickly so you can get out of the way before the fire elemental descends upon you.
(28:07):
14.
No problem.
All right.
So you retreat toward the door, giant short sword in hand.
All right.
The fire elemental surges forward.
Liam, still in the room.
Are you doing anything?
I think Lucas wanted to clarify his actions.
(28:28):
He said he was standing by the room.
He was standing by the doorway and letting them all get out, he said.
I'm going to go out, he said.
If it moves forward, I'm going to attempt to move one small step back.
Okay.
Yeah, it's coming forward.
It's moving toward the door.
You're back against...you're as far toward the door as you can be without being out of
(28:50):
the room.
I want to...
Roll percentile dice.
Okay.
You get the sense that he kind of is calming down.
(29:14):
I mean, it's a raging fire, so it's kind of a scale, but he's not intending to attack
as much as he is to find out.
He's curious.
Also, the room where...the corner where the forge was is almost dark now.
The fires have all gone out.
I will go forward.
(29:35):
Okay.
You've got to put your hand up and walk toward him.
Okay.
He's pretty hot.
I mean, you can't touch him.
You're sure you would get burned if you touch him, but you're standing about three, four
feet away from him.
You can feel the heat on your skin, really hot, and he...he's definitely lowered his
(29:59):
arms.
He's not obviously trying to fight.
I mean, he could easily kill you if you want to do it, you're pretty sure.
I think she's at last.
I'm not so sure about that.
Maybe not.
Against...well, he may not be against us, whether he's for us or not, it's a whole different
thing, but there are more giants around, so we should probably leave.
People are looking for you.
Okay.
(30:20):
We need to find the core of the volcano to throw the sword in.
So the fire giant...the fire element is not moving.
The fire element seems to be cowed by Liam.
It seems as if Liam is holding him at bay, keeping him calm, basically.
He's a stabilizing wing.
Is there anything else in the room that we want to get for you, Ash?
I will take the torch towards the slaymaster and grab his dagger out.
(30:42):
Okay.
Can easily do that.
But it would still qualify as a dagger.
You definitely would not qualify as a knife, which is what you're actually good with.
Yeah, it's a dirt one.
Upon searching him, you also see that he does have a bag with treasure or money, like a
big pouch, basically.
And then he has a rolled up piece of parchment tucked in his belt, which...he had like three
(31:06):
belts, so he still has two belts left in one.
One of them has a piece of parchment tucked in it.
I go for the bag.
Okay.
The bag probably weighs about eight or ten pounds.
Bowling ball weight, light bowling ball weight.
The room is still very hot, but it is not as bad as when you first arrived.
The fire elemental has definitely put him off less.
Okay.
(31:27):
And he did let you walk around him to go over there and check the slaymaster, and he just
kind of turned so he could still be facing you.
And then...oh, that's a jigsaw.
The fire elemental goes over to where the little low-lying wall is, and he's facing off
with the stone creature.
They're looking at each other.
What do I find in the bag?
(31:48):
It's not a Disney movie.
I mean, oh, you're actually opening the bag?
Yeah.
So it has some coins, some gems, a small flask that might be a potion.
It's got liquid in it.
I'll take it.
I'll take the stuff out, but I just need the bag in there.
You're in a loincloth right at the moment, so...
You don't have anywhere else to put it.
The bag, yeah, is what I'm saying.
(32:09):
You're not putting it in your pocket.
You do know, like, your shirt is in this room.
You can put your shirt on if you choose to.
I will.
Okay.
So Liam gets dressed.
The bag has been retrieved.
The fire elemental is standing, looking at the earth elemental.
Do we want to try and get that sword?
We're out of time.
We need to get off.
Okay.
We will...like the boy...
We need to find our way to the...
Why?
The boy in the black.
(32:30):
It's not the way we came.
We didn't know there was another path.
There was another path back from that.
Alright, before you came to this room, there was a long hallway leading to the left that
you didn't go down.
What?
Didn't you tell us...I don't remember how we got out, but all the way back in the...that
(32:51):
first room where we fought the...the elemental or whatever it was, the elemental, that there
was another path out of that room that would be different from the one we're talking about.
Where we called the one?
Probably right before the game.
Oh, but it went in the direction of the core.
Yes, in the general direction of the center.
Oh, so you didn't know that it was a place to...
No.
You're...you're not the closest you have been, but you are underground.
(33:12):
So, in that sense, you are the closest you've probably been from...
So there's the passage we just passed, and there's one that was further ahead, past the
forge.
And then other than that, there were just the passages at the beginning.
Oh, so we carry out further ahead?
Um...
When we...
Let me heal anyone who's injured.
We don't feel like you're under any great pressure at the moment, so...
(33:35):
Where we came in...where we came in, and we were facing, you know, the tunnel down, was
that in the direction of the core, or would it have been a different direction?
So the slope was leaning away from the center of the volcano.
Okay, so it would have been back.
Right.
Gotcha.
So we're closer to it now than we were on the outside.
(33:56):
Yes.
So the closest you have been to the core was probably the 20 by 30 foot treasure room.
Which...
Down there, that hallway, by the...
There wasn't anything...anymore quarters that direction?
Correct.
He did one...he did a one point...overland...
One, two, three.
Two, three.
(34:19):
Two, four.
You and I are going into some damage in the upper left.
What do you know?
That's still a lot.
Anyone else hurt?
We're nine out of it.
I'm trying to laugh.
You and I.
You and I are straight.
You and I are in the lower left.
Um...
The astro does not have any damage.
Were you hurt in this how, man?
No.
I haven't been hurt since you healed me the first time.
(34:40):
Astro didn't get any damage, so...
Astro, what time is it?
Nine fifteen.
And blips the watch open.
So a few hours before I get my couple hours break, I'm on camera.
Okay.
Right after...it's been like four or five minutes, things have calmed down, whatever.
(35:05):
The Fire Elemental roars as if he is disturbed by what he's been seeing or whatever, and he
breaks the stone wall blocking the Earth Elemental, if that's what it is.
Okay.
I don't know what's going on behind us.
Yeah.
I'm scared.
(35:26):
So he goes at the Fire Elemental, backs away from the opening, and so he's all the way
back over...he doesn't go toward the fort, though.
He goes kind of toward where the dead Fire Giant is, and it's the flames of the Fire
Elemental are looking at the Fire Giant, but not doing him any harm, really.
And you see the stone guy leave the circle, and he goes toward the closed door.
(35:50):
He does step on the Slavemaster and crush his torso and head on the way to the door.
And then he pushes the door, and it just basically goes to splinters and pieces of wood.
As he pushes the door open, it would still lock, and it breaks open and falls to rubble
on the floor, and he leaves through that door.
Well, that's his end.
No, Arm, no follow me.
I hope we don't run into him.
(36:11):
Well, fire your guy follow me, don't crash him.
That's a good idea.
Yeah.
Head further in.
I see a fire here, guys.
You guys, you guys, come here.
Okay.
So, are you going out?
There are three doors to this room, technically.
(36:32):
So, there's the door you came in, a door in the center of the opposite wall, the room
being a 50 by 50 square, roughly, and a door on the wall that you came in, 20 feet from
the door that you came in.
So, it's going to lead back out to that hallway.
There are two doors that lead to the hallway that you came down.
Gotcha, so it's this door, that's this hallway.
(36:52):
Yep.
So, there's a door on the firewall, we can check real quick.
Correct.
So, let's go check that door on the firewall.
Well, that's the door, the element door is leading out now.
Oh, the stone elemental?
Yeah, the stone elemental.
So, that door is now open.
You can exit that way if you choose.
There's a good chance that's where you could go, but I don't know if I want to follow the
(37:17):
vessel with the first elemental.
If you wanted to fight, you'd be fighting about it.
As long as we don't get in front of him, we should be fine.
As long as we don't get in front of him, we should be fine.
If you want to attack us, if you want to, then you can immediately run.
I won't pretend to know the mind of if there's an elemental.
(37:38):
Generally speaking, they don't like being coerced, like people.
This one seems fine.
But it may suddenly decide that it doesn't like being followed either.
So, knock that way or that way?
The other way.
It just leads back to the hallway outside.
Yeah, we probably should go that way.
(38:01):
There is still the long hallway that we passed just before we came to this room.
I don't know.
I feel pretty turned around.
Do you have any inference?
I can't really tell where the core is from here.
And I'll admit, I kind of got turned around a little bit at the treasure room.
(38:24):
It didn't hurt.
Before we even came all the way here, wasn't there a path that we were going to take to get to the core?
We asked about the core, but we determined that it went in the direction of the core, but it didn't necessarily.
Before we even entered the fire.
Yes.
We determined that that went in the direction of the core, but we don't know for sure that that had to turn off.
(38:46):
But you could go back out and check if you choose, but then you come pretty far down in here.
Let's go back to that long hall and check that first.
So not following the stone elemental out, we're going to go back to the hallway just before this chamber and see where that hallway goes.
Lucas leading the way?
Yes.
(39:07):
Followed by Asturrd, followed by Klum, Herrick, Kiron, Liam.
I'll be in the middle.
Does anyone in the middle?
Klum will hold him to be in the middle of the room.
And look back at the other guys.
So the elemental does follow.
Nice.
(39:28):
Liam hasn't actually communicated with him at all, has he?
I mean, he seemed to be.
He gestured to him, he told him to calm down.
Liam, ask him if he can lead us to the center of the volcano.
Can you lead us to the center of the volcano?
You and I would just stay in the same place.
(39:49):
Might make this a little easier.
She goes back in the room.
Do you know where the campus is?
He rolls what kind of looks like his fiery head around and you see kind of almost like a mouth for a second and there's sort of like a roaring noise.
(40:10):
But you're not sure what he's saying.
It could have been affirmative, but maybe not.
What percent of how do I scare him?
41.
You think he said yes?
He said yes.
It's more of a feeling.
(40:31):
Can we stop and...
Let's let him go through.
Ask him to take us there.
Can you take us?
Okay.
He turns around and he goes back to the Smithy room and he goes out the door that the elemental went out.
I was right.
I said he goes back into the room.
He's moving pretty quickly so you pretty much have to jog to get off of him.
(40:53):
I go like right behind him.
Which is particularly awkward for Clume who's carrying a giant bag of loot.
Clume was debating whether or not she was going to empty half of it to make this.
She has a bag that's like this and she's carrying it like this.
And she has a 17 string.
She's strong enough to carry it, but it's bulky.
(41:15):
Would you like me to take that from you?
Yes.
Still qualify as very bulky for you.
Don't you have small bags?
I can take this.
I can have one of the small bags.
Okay.
The whole is gold.
A resorted coin in a handbag.
20 pounds per bag about.
Okay.
(41:37):
If we're going we'll get experience tonight so let's keep this rolling.
We're on task.
Party order is reversed.
Liam is following the elemental?
No.
Okay.
Well it would be...
I think I like to follow it.
Okay.
He's the kind of person that has me to follow it and I'm not going to.
In the distance...
Never get between the boy and his fire arm.
(41:59):
You exit that door.
There is a hallway that leads to the left.
It goes 10 feet first then it turns to the left.
Then it turns to the right and it's not a neat turn.
It's a curve more than a right angle.
Then it begins to slope down and away.
(42:20):
Curving down and away the whole time.
Ahead you begin to hear the sounds of fighting.
Uh oh.
The element guy already started talking.
I don't blame him.
Those poor people.
Sorry.
(42:43):
Anybody seen Galaxy Quest?
Okay.
So you follow the elemental down the tube basically.
It wraps around and it seems to be a spiral.
It goes a complete 360 degrees around.
Then it opens out into what is a large underground cavern.
By large I mean you can see several hundred feet.
(43:08):
In the distance is almost what looks to be like a giant stalagmite.
It rises up and at the base it's probably a hundred feet across.
It rises up to the ceiling.
Then at various points on it there are lava flows that are coming out of it.
Pouring down into what looks to be a lava lake.
The elevation change from where you are to where the surface of the lake is.
(43:32):
This is about 150 to 200 feet.
The pathway here leads down and there is a long arching bridge that goes toward that center stalagmite.
Just as you come out you can see, and you can see in here pretty well.
It's as bright as torch light everywhere.
Just as you come out you see the earth elemental throw the last of a fire giant off of the pathway into the lava.
(43:59):
You can see it's probably too.
You kind of sink slowly.
I don't think you sink slowly in lava.
You incinerate and become ash slowly.
You look like he was already dead.
He didn't die slowly.
You are seeing a lake of lava.
(44:20):
The ceiling height from the lava to the ceiling is probably 300 feet.
You see that huge stalagmite that goes up to the ceiling.
It's almost like a column.
There is lava flows coming out of the center of it.
This bridge is long.
It's probably a quarter of a mile.
The battle was taking place in the first 50 yards of it.
(44:44):
The elemental begins to move along the bridge.
The earth elemental is way out ahead of you.
He is moving along the bridge as well.
He reaches the stalagmite first and then follows a pathway along the surface of it and disappears behind it.
(45:05):
Assuming you are following the elemental, the elemental leads you out toward the stalagmite.
It is very hot.
It's probably 130 degrees here.
Those of you who are in plate armor are in depth.
Everyone is dehydrating rapidly.
I assume you are trying to drink what water you can.
You will be basically out of water about the time you reach the stalagmite.
(45:28):
Unless you can come up with another source of water, you are going to have a problem being down here in metal armor at least.
That puts it at 160 degrees.
There is a stone pathway that goes around what is essentially a mountain.
Now you can see a bridge that leads off away from it.
(45:51):
Check out Amal Dan Inc. for incredible opportunities to support the ministry.
The fire elemental is following that pathway.
Are you following him?
Yes.
You have now walked over a quarter of a mile in this huge cavern.
Any other way to make a con check?
(46:13):
D20 equal to or less than your con?
No problem.
Naturally.
10.
What's your con?
160.
You're fine.
D20.
Okay.
So you just feel like you realize you are getting parched.
Your lips feel dry.
Your mouth feels chalky.
You don't feel sweaty.
(46:34):
I don't think we all.
We are going to need to make this quick or we are going to have major problems.
I am going wherever the elemental leads me.
Just so you know, you can use Create Water to make water into containers.
You can refill everyone's wine skin, but a lot of water would be wasted.
Last year somebody had a helmet or something which would catch more, but no one has barrels.
(47:01):
It makes a lot of water.
I have a tent.
Waterproof.
You could craft it into a big bag, but we wouldn't be able to carry it then.
I have a 40 ounce tankard.
You have a tankard.
Everyone has a wine skin or water skin, I assume.
(47:22):
You can do a helmet or two.
You don't.
The point is you can use Create Water to create another water supply that would last for a while.
If that's what you want to do.
I am going to get the elemental to hold up for it.
Are you going to recognize this part when you get there?
I have no idea.
Can you stop?
I say the same thing.
(47:43):
He doesn't stop.
That's not a choice.
I am going to take a second for her to create the water.
Everything that was in your water skin and wine skin, which they were not full, to get this far.
If she totally refills them, that should get you back out.
Everybody get their water stuff ready.
(48:05):
You can watch him and then hurry to catch up.
He's not moving like running pace.
He's moving jogging pace.
You are keeping up with him pretty good.
You could watch him.
He's probably following the pathway around the mountain.
Then you're just going to have to run to catch up.
I'm going to run you.
I'm going to get the elemental.
You're casting Create Water and filling every container you can find, basically, right?
(48:27):
Yep.
Mark it on her for the day.
That's my last one.
Everyone's got water.
You can drink.
Your mouth feels better.
Your lips don't feel as hard.
You begin to sweat.
That's good.
Then you're hurrying to catch up.
You pass the helmet around.
Everyone drinks out of the helmet and the tankard first.
You keep your water in your wine skins.
(48:48):
Also, if you keep your water in your wine skins, it's less likely to evaporate out, obviously.
I'll take the helmet or the tankard.
They give you a drink.
You and Klum are in the most danger because you have the least body weight.
Wouldn't it be rough to put in a helmet and drink out of the helmet?
It's not going to be very clean.
It's not clean.
I'm thinking the helmet's going to be really hot.
(49:12):
It's not boiling hot, though.
It's not any hotter than you're wearing it.
It's warm.
You have to wear gloves.
All the water.
When you first get it, it'll cool the helmet when she creates it.
It's going to be warm water.
It'll cool it.
I'll put in my helmet and water skin.
Every pass is a helmet, Ron.
You drink those, and then the elemental is almost out of view.
(49:35):
At that point, it's about 200 yards ahead.
Then we drink what's in the helmet immediately.
You have wines and water skins to get back out.
Okay.
You run after him.
As you come around the corner, you don't see him.
The pathway continues around the back to the bridge, but you don't see the elemental.
Then, once you get another 30 yards or so, you realize there is a cavern, like a cave,
(49:59):
basically, that goes from this bridge into the stalagmite.
I think he went there.
Once you get there, you do find, indeed, that he has gone down that cavern.
He is about 30 yards in.
The cavern goes about 60 yards.
You can see orange fire behind him.
He has stopped and is waiting for you to do whatever.
(50:21):
I run after him.
Can I run?
Yes.
He could probably carry it for you, the elemental.
What?
Rather than, I don't know how close you can get to the heart without combusting.
As risky as it is, you think you're probably supposed to do it yourself.
(50:45):
Yeah, I'd say.
I don't think that's a good idea.
Okay.
I don't think no one has been running this far.
We are stopped, right?
Yes, but there is definitely a sense of urgency.
You're drying out fast.
Did you guys get a water?
(51:08):
You can go get the last of the water that didn't splash out of your helmet,
so you can put your helmet back on.
It's not painful to do so.
Do what you're doing.
I can't let the sword into the hands of another.
So you go down the cavern.
As soon as you start to move that way, he moves to lead you.
I think he was waiting for that.
Okay, you're going as well?
(51:29):
Okay.
As long as you have water to drink, you're okay.
You all can wait until we don't have to get any closer.
How much further it is?
You can see the fire.
You can see the light of the flapa flow.
It's another 30 yards past where he had stopped.
Okay, yeah, I'll stay here.
He moves out onto a platform.
Basically, it looks like a little ledge, maybe about 15 feet.
(51:53):
Then it's a rise up.
From there, you can see what you'd guess is the core of the volcano.
There are like speedums of blobs of lava that come up and go back down.
It's painful to look at.
It's so bright.
But as you're standing there before you've actually walked up the platform,
looking to the left on the stone, you see there is a box.
(52:20):
It is long enough to put a sword in.
On the top, it is made of black iron ribs,
so as if something could sit inside of it.
At the bottom, there is a clear glass or crystal box.
Inside the clear glass crystal box is a longsword.
(52:41):
You can see through, see it clearly.
It's a finely crafted blade.
There is the glass box, and then the ribs come up from the box.
They sit on the box and also come up from the box.
The full length of the box.
It looks like they would have put it in.
(53:02):
I mean, a sword could be placed inside the ribs.
That would not be the same as destroying it, obviously.
There is another sword in the bottom.
There is a sword in the glass box on the bottom.
Maybe you just pick that one.
I'll throw this and throw this in the lava.
Okay, so you're going to throw the sword in the lava.
As you turn toward the lava, and you draw the sword, obviously,
(53:28):
or you're just going to leave it in the scabbard.
I'll draw it.
Okay, you turn toward it.
As you do so, the image of the glass box and the iron runs, disappears.
You look at what?
It's gone.
You walk up the ledge.
It is hot and exhausting.
And you chuck the sword into the...
(53:50):
You can see that down below you there is another ledge.
So you have to throw it pretty good to make sure that it's going to get out into the lava.
And as you throw the sword of wounding out into the lava, it cranes out and hits the lava.
The blade hits first and it sticks like it hit dirt.
And then it immediately begins to surge in.
And then the pommel falls down and the lava wraps over it.
(54:13):
And then there's a burst of white energy and a crackling noise as the sword is obviously destroyed.
The flames erupt up and out of the volcano at that spot and you gain one level.
Wow.
Okay.
Clearly a great choice, I guess.
(54:37):
I was just thinking of the severed unit experience too.
I was like, I'm glad that you dressed the experience.
I could probably save it for a year and I wouldn't level up.
I know, so I wasn't wrong about that.
Higher level but still with lower damage potential.
But better healing potential, which will come in handy, except when you roll a natural 20.
(54:59):
About 30% of the time.
Does that mean I lose the proficiency I got from my last level for the healing?
Did I hit the train for you?
Yes, it will mean that, unfortunately.
There is a cost for free levels, unfortunately.
Especially when you're on a proficiency level, which will be every level for you.
Anyway, the fire elemental, at that point, he goes over to the edge off to the side and he slips down off the edge.
(55:26):
He's climbing down intentionally, like he's hanging down and then he drops down to blow out of view and you don't see him again.
Aww.
It's entirely probable, based on your limited religion training, that it's entirely probable that this isn't access to the elemental plane of fire.
It's a plan of fire somehow or other and he's going home.
Does that make sense?
(55:48):
Does he actually like that?
Probably.
Couldn't you just donate any levels?
And your lips are dry and your mouth is dry and you're not sweating anymore.
Couldn't you just donate any levels?
There's a reason we need to know.
We had to walk the back.
It had to be destroyed in the heart.
(56:09):
Okay.
Was it dangerous?
Yes, it was a very dangerous practice that caused great harm, caused those who were injured with it to leave or to sleep.
Okay, so you're going back out, I presume.
Wasting too much time is dangerous at this point.
You do not see a glass box nor iron ribs.
He comes back out to the point at which the fire elemental has stopped.
(56:31):
The fire elemental is not with them anymore.
Everyone is beginning to feel the effects of dehydration.
You're going to need to begin drinking water again.
As you get back out to the ledge, now you're mostly aware on the back, you realize that this pathway around this huge mountain, it does arc around and it becomes another huge arched bridge in the distance.
And by that time you can see that the earth elemental is on that bridge going that way.
(56:56):
And you see coming from the other direction a couple of fire elementals and there is a fighting engagement that will begin, but it's going to be two or three minutes.
And you probably don't have that kind of time.
You also probably did not have enough water to take that course out.
You probably might have enough water to make it back out the way you came, but that's another half mile at least.
(57:19):
So you're going back the way you came, drinking water as you go.
Yes, there's a body of water next to the volcano.
That's what's causing all the steam.
Okay, so you're making your way back out.
So you will run out of water before you actually make it back to the dungeon and everyone will be on dehydration for three minutes.
(57:47):
So I'm going to make a con check straight up.
Two.
Missed by two.
You take two points of damage.
Five.
No problem.
Also missed.
Three points of damage.
Okay.
Then a con check at minus two.
(58:14):
Chiron takes two points of damage.
Exactly.
Sturred failed again.
You didn't get hurt by monsters at all.
You're going to die from dehydration.
You're fine.
Okay.
And then the last one is a con check at minus four.
You're at the dungeon.
It does not put you at water.
(58:35):
So was it minus four?
It's minus four this time.
Missed.
Missed?
Yep.
Seven points of damage.
Everyone else made it?
Yes.
Okay.
Alright, so at that point you've followed that curving spiral and you're coming back, you're at the long hallway that led from the back door to the smithy.
(58:58):
There was water in the smithy that he was using to quench the blade.
It would not be healthy water.
You would debatably want to drink it.
But there should be some, it had to come from somewhere.
Am I immune to diseases or I can cure diseases?
Both.
Okay.
(59:24):
Alright.
I'm sorry, say again.
The sword in my floor, did it get cool off by now?
I mean some.
Would I be able to grab it?
Probably.
It's pretty big.
I know.
It's bigger than a regular long sword.
I would grab it.
Okay.
And then I would walk up to him and say, here you go.
Do you want the giant long sword or do you offer any giant long swords?
(59:46):
Thanks.
The giant long sword function is the best.
Yes, probably.
Did we get the long sword off of the Slavemaster guy?
Yes.
Okay.
Now we have two giant ones.
So everyone is still on dehydration except for Chiron.
Do I drink it?
(01:00:07):
Okay.
I mean, you can.
It doesn't look good.
I am not drinking the water, but I am at least covering my skin.
Now let's go.
But I know where the water is.
It's not a pump.
There's not anything else in this room.
That's a good question.
There's water.
Yes.
You've had to draw water and bring it to the Smithy while you were captive.
Once.
You've only been captive for like six hours.
Can I leave the group to the mayor?
Yes.
(01:00:28):
I know where the water is.
You want to go?
Yes.
Thanks for sharing.
Okay.
You're going to take them to the well.
Were there any more giants in the well?
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
No.
Were there any more giants there?
Yes.
Yes.
(01:00:49):
Okay.
You guys fight them off.
I'll try not to pass out.
Okay.
Now you're not underground, but it is still hot here.
It's just not as hot.
And so everyone's still on dehydration except for Chiron and can roll a D20 versus Khan.
No natives.
I'm fine.
I'm fine.
Oh my god, so good.
(01:01:09):
I never did that.
Me either.
I made it early.
Okay.
So he does take you basically there is a...
I have a 17 and a miss twice.
There is a chute in the wall in the room that you lower a bucket down.
Let's see if you run any more giants.
(01:01:37):
Okay.
So...
No, he did not run into any opposition.
(01:02:01):
It does have a door and the door is open and a 20 foot by 20 foot room.
Okay.
So there's a chute.
You lower the bucket down and you're able to bring up water.
It is fresh water.
I take it like first.
Okay.
And then I'll fill my...
Okay.
So everyone will be off of dehydration then and your wine skins are filled and you've
(01:02:25):
drunk your full.
Although...
Is there like a stretch over here that would hold water?
That's what Chiron is?
No.
Yeah.
When the time comes, you can take this bucket of water with me now.
Awesome.
Yeah.
You're a bucket on the water.
Okay.
(01:02:47):
So...
There is one room that you saw previously on door that you did not go in if you want
to check it on the way out.
Also, it looks like you pretty well eliminated any opposition.
Assuming we're walking that way.
(01:03:09):
It's no more than a minute or two out of your way.
Okay.
All right.
So it has one door that you can see it is and a wooden door.
It does not have a lock.
Okay.
Once or twice?
(01:03:30):
To see if there's any of the shoes that were at the other doors or back doors.
So the ceiling is 18 to 20 feet high.
It doesn't...
It's not obvious.
If you had a way to get some light up there or to get yourself up there to look, then
(01:03:52):
you could see.
So I'm going to pull the door open and then quickly jump back.
Okay.
Make a save for a versus spell.
You get the next bonus and an additional plus four.
Yeah.
No problem.
Okay.
Let me see if you took any damage at all.
Nope.
No damage.
Okay.
A rock did fall.
I don't know why.
(01:04:13):
Okay.
In this room, there's a steel trap door on the floor.
It's about two foot by six foot.
I don't know anything about it.
Correct.
You've never been in this room before.
Okay.
So it does have a handle.
(01:04:34):
We're just going to add it.
It does have a lock.
It is a padlock.
Six inches across metal padlock.
Do I see anything by it?
No.
It's not like a lock in the door that you can look in.
It's a lock through a hasp.
It's like a padlock.
I can pick it and film it.
Just listen at the door so you don't hear anything.
Okay.
Roll the plane.
No.
(01:04:55):
No sound whatsoever.
Does anybody have lockpicks on the ticket?
Getting rid of the fire element on the roars because we don't have that anymore.
I'm not sure we really need to take the water gun.
I guess there's a possibility that there could be other people in here or this is where
they keep prisoners.
It is a metal gun.
It's a metal gun.
It's a metal gun.
Okay.
Roll the plane.
(01:05:19):
It is a metal door.
It is a metal lock.
However, breaking the lock is not completely outside of Eric's.
I'm sorry.
Lucas.
Lucas' ability to do.
Mace it.
You should do it with a giant hammer.
Okay.
Roll a D20.
First of all, I'm going to roll a D20.
And roll a D8.
Okay.
It obviously was damaged.
It did not come open.
(01:05:40):
You could hit it a few more times.
Okay.
Over two or three more hits, he pounds the lock open with the hammer.
Then you twist it the wrong way.
You slide it off the hasp.
Will the hasp open?
Is someone opening the door?
Me.
Kloom.
Okay.
Kloom and Liam will open the door.
It's plenty big enough for both of you to do it together if you want.
Roll a D20.
Okay.
Okay.
Nothing happens.
(01:06:06):
You open the door.
What you see is just a hole in the floor, approximately the same size as the door and three foot deep,
and it is filled two-thirds of the way full with gold coin.
Oh, whoa.
We have enough gold we're carrying.
No, we're carrying a sordid coin.
We would much rather be carrying gold coins.
Okay.
Let me see.
We have no coins.
That would be a struggle.
(01:06:27):
That would be a struggle.
It's a lot of gold.
All right.
So you dump out the assorted coin in the corner and fill the bag with gold.
I take all of our bags and...
Kloom will do Kylo.
So wait, can we carry it outside and dump it and come back in and get more of those?
You just keep making trips.
I go to the bag that I got the same last week and I put more in there.
(01:06:51):
Okay.
Now, the bags are filled with gold rather than a...
Well, let's see.
I don't think we have enough to do all of it.
Let me see.
Yeah, that's pretty much enough to do all of it, I think.
You pretty well empty out the hole.
There are no gems, only gold.
(01:07:12):
So we still have the bag of loot that has the plates, the goblets, the silverware.
Correct.
Yep.
And there was some gems.
The Kid Master had some gems.
A bunch of fire giant bags full of stuff and all of our pouches will be full of gold.
Then we have to find civilization to be able to spend it.
(01:07:33):
It's going to be a long walk here in all this gold.
Or a wagon.
Or a wagon, yeah.
Okay.
So are we exiting the fire giant enclave, cavern, whatever?
Yes.
Okay.
Congratulations, you have succeeded in destroying the Sword of Wounding and rescuing one out
of the two captives.
Who?
(01:07:54):
The other one?
Sorry, where were we at?
Corvia, the halfling scout.
I was trying to say that.
She's dead.
Wasn't she supposed to escort the captain at town?
Yes, although he did say if you didn't get her, he gave you the directions and sort of
said he thought he could follow them.
She's dead.
She's dead.
Do you have a good point in the screen?
Yes.
No.
D12.
D12.
I kind of want to play more here.
(01:08:16):
The law of averages suggests...
Caitlyn, will him some good luck.
The law of averages suggests this will be a relatively high number.
What is it?
Four.
Medium number.
So it's even.
It's a very medium number.
My average on D12 so far today is three.
That's a great average.
Okay.
(01:08:37):
All right.
So you're going...you go back out the fire giant enclave and you're going up over the
hill on the shallow part trying to avoid trouble.
Remember, I've got this.
And whatever else was fighting the fire giant.
That's lethal.
Can I heal the hydration?
Yes.
(01:08:58):
And you can also heal all of Liam's damage.
He has damage before that was never healed.
He's already healed.
I healed him.
I was doing everyone.
I told him I was going to do that.
He can still be one step out.
The good news is when you go up out of the edge of the volcano, it's not quite as hot.
You will be traveling at night and you are tired.
That tent sounds really good right now.
I drank a drink in the bunker.
(01:09:20):
Would you all like me to heal our exhaustion from dehydration?
What exhaustion?
Yeah, I don't feel like it.
He's trying to tell you he fared pretty well under those circumstances.
Do you spare a few moments for the rest of us?
As always.
I'm staying here.
You're going home.
He said I'm staying.
(01:09:43):
Let's hang out.
If they give you a fair share of all the haul they just got, you'll be wealthier than your
parents.
Why?
It didn't need any six of yours.
We'll cut you in for three percent.
I have a whole bag full of it.
He doesn't need more than one bag.
(01:10:05):
I'll give you four percent for needing Mr. Water.
That's payment for not getting him out.
He just took the bag off of a body that you guys weren't actively looting.
That's all he did.
He killed the guy.
He didn't kill the guy.
He killed a guy.
That's true.
He did kill a fist man.
Well, he helped.
I also let you guys in the corn.
Sorry.
Says the guy who did a grand total of zero hit points this entire adventure.
(01:10:27):
Did you really?
You didn't do anything?
No damage?
I didn't hit anything.
That's terrible.
But just looking at your fair share.
I have a 16 THACO.
I'm going to throw it against the wall.
I have a plus one weapon.
That makes it 15.
That means even to hit an AC2, I've got to roll better than 10.
(01:10:49):
I can't not stay with you then.
Bazor for the longest time had a 19 THACO non-perficient weapon.
Well, do you see the dog that we have?
That's why we can't have any.
We are not safe for dogs or small children.
I have a 13 THACO.
That's everything he got from dehydration.
(01:11:11):
This was a very successful adventure for him.
Yes, he did.
He's glad he wasn't here to enjoy it.
He did ranger work.
He did ranger work.
That's right.
Okay.
So you stop and you're doing healing and you get pretty much everybody gets healed and
everybody can roll for surprise.
The bird is not surprised.
(01:11:32):
I am not surprised.
Let me get a one over two.
You're both surprised.
Only one segment though.
My mind is like a windblower.
Yeah, apparently.
Okay.
So you're on the hillside on the backside away from the volcano and all of a sudden
(01:11:59):
you hear a battle cry.
Not sure you can do that anymore.
It's a battle cry.
What do you mean?
(01:12:21):
And you're being attacked by bandits.
Clearly they're bandits or at least roguish fellows.
They come with sword and shield and begin with missile fire.
All right.
So we have one segment of surprise and they get one attack before that segment of surprise.
(01:12:41):
Ambush.
First of all, missile fire.
There are now six of you.
Clockwise from my left, Chiron gets two and check out things were different back then.
The origin story of Lord Victor told from a certain point of view.
(01:13:04):
Eric gets one so far.
No hits.
Liam gets two.
Liam is struck once for five points.
Caleb take five points.
Lucas gets one and is struck once for six points.
(01:13:30):
And they charge from cover tweeting and hollering as they come.
You've chosen poorly.
Oh, they see that giant bag of loot.
They don't think so.
They also just watched us walk out of a fire giant hideout.
Now this is later.
You're on the hillside.
You stopped to do healing and what they were seeing everybody getting healed.
(01:13:51):
That's what they're doing.
Okay.
That means I can have out whatever weapon I want.
No, you cannot have the hammer sitting near you because you don't have a way to put that
away.
I'll have the hammer.
That's demoralizing.
Okay.
So we're in surprise segment one.
Once I turn the first guy to pull maybe the other guys will missle fire.
(01:14:14):
Herrick was not ready so he doesn't get any.
Your voluntary spell still voluntary.
Yes.
Now sounds like a time to volunteer.
Okay.
So you're doing that in missile fire?
Yes.
All right.
You're what level?
I am sixth level.
Okay.
So not fully taken unaware.
(01:14:35):
Herrick stands up and a green glow covers him and he increases to be how tall are you
normally?
Five eight.
11 just over 11 feet tall.
Pick up the hammer.
In larges.
And then we are in Melee nine.
I have made myself a large target.
(01:14:57):
About to earn his experience for the adventure.
Red circle with white and red rings around it.
Okay.
We're in Melee nine.
Turn big and green.
Eight.
Green.
Not green.
That's the effect of the spell.
Me, I'm an eight.
Okay.
So you're an eight.
You do not have a weapon drawn.
I'm going to attempt to get behind one of the people who get behind you.
(01:15:21):
Okay.
Well they're charging in at you from a distance.
That's probably not going to happen right now.
Once they engage in combat maybe.
I will draw.
Bear in mind you also just got shot by an arrow so they're not all charging in.
So while you're trying to get behind somebody somebody will probably be shooting you.
I'm getting behind him.
Okay.
He's hide behind the paladin.
Good strategy.
He's probably...
Just because you don't have armor.
I'm just loading now at least.
(01:15:43):
Alright.
So Liam takes cover behind Kyron.
Melee seven.
I do have that dagger drawn though from the one guy.
You're drawing the dagger now.
Okay.
It's usable at the end of the round.
Okay.
Actually this is a surprise segment so it's not useful at the end of the round.
It'll be useful at the beginning of the round.
Melee seven.
(01:16:03):
Melee six.
I charged him.
Okay.
So there are five of them charging the group from all different sides.
There are also some bowmen who are shooting but you're really kind of always generic when
over there.
I'm going to actually try and I'm gonna more of hold and keep them off of our archer who
can maybe remove their archers.
(01:16:23):
Okay.
So you're gonna protect us.
Protect us.
Okay.
There's one guy that is definitely charging a sturd so you can counter charge him.
Yes.
We know we're running in that scene.
So did his spear also grow?
So if your spear was in hand it also grew.
However, it's 50-50 as to whether you were actually holding it at the time because there
was quite a lot of like healing and shifting things and like that going on.
I don't have that.
(01:16:44):
It's not like I have a scavenger hunt.
So roll it even odd.
If you roll it even it was in hand.
It didn't be even.
Nope.
So I will just pick him up.
You can certainly pummel him.
That is an option.
What is that on him?
You could grab the hammer.
The hammer is big.
Is it there?
I mean he has an eye there.
It's right next to me.
I mean I have an eye there.
Roll it even odd.
If it's even.
(01:17:04):
You have it in hand.
No.
So it's on the ground by Lucas.
I'll grab it.
That would be your action in this surprise segment.
Alright so we're melee six surprise segment one.
Melee five.
Melee four.
Okay in four the bandits engage.
No I lost one in four.
(01:17:27):
So if you shield parry at all in this surprise segment you cannot attack.
I can't attack a period if I shield.
Well I can't attack anyways I have a weapon in my hand.
Right so you're just getting the hammer up and shield parry probably.
Is he getting the hammer?
Oh probably yeah he's getting the hammer.
Then I'll draw a weapon.
Okay he'll start drawing.
Long sword.
Could I have gotten the bastard sword from one of the bastard swords from him that are
(01:17:52):
the giant long swords?
He has a short sword that will function as a long sword and then he has the giant long
sword thing that was still being crafted that will function as a bastard sword.
So that would be a yes but bear in mind that it's probably not finished.
Yeah so I'll just hold off on that.
The handle would probably be a paid problem.
I can probably fix it.
(01:18:14):
Okay anyway you're starting to draw your bastard sword for the time being.
We will not have that in a second for sure.
Okay so again clockwise from my left, Liam Lucas Lucas, Herrick and Clem.
(01:18:37):
So Chiron didn't get any but now you get one because they came after him and he hid behind
you.
So he transferred his onto you.
I already got hit for a box.
That was an arrow.
That was an arrow.
Okay so here we go Clem, guy with the short sword charges you and he misses.
Chiron, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say you snatched up your shield as things
(01:18:59):
began even though you're surprised.
How much is your shield parry?
One for the shield and your strength bonus and any magic.
Yeah correct.
Three.
Total of three.
Okay he missed.
Shield parry was successful.
Okay Lucas, shield parrying the first guy and you successfully did so.
(01:19:21):
Shield parrying on the second guy and he missed.
So they've missed, missed, missed all over the place.
Herrick the giant, he hit you for five points of damage.
Okay so to be clear there's one on Clem, one on Chiron, two on Lucas, one on Herrick, now
(01:19:48):
none on Asturk.
Okay we're in a surprise segment.
One, Melee three, Melee two, Melee two, Melee one.
Now we're done with surprise, everyone roll for initiative.
(01:20:18):
Bandits are trying for the whole of their lives.
I don't like their odds.
Yes sir.
No it's automatic.
That's almost as nice as the level itself.
(01:20:42):
Missile fire initiative, Asturk will fire and they will fire.
Did I move over here?
You did, you hid behind Liam, behind him.
That was one segment, six seconds.
You hid behind him, that was it.
Now we're in a round.
We're in missile fire right now.
When we get to Melee you can move in your initiative.
(01:21:03):
Okay.
Alright, so here goes the missile fire.
Asturk is going to try to pick off two of them.
Hit one, kill them.
They're down one bowman.
They fire.
I'm also throwing something out.
(01:21:25):
Okay.
I have a produced fire that I want to throw out.
What is your initiative?
Settling.
Okay, so you'll go first and then you'll try to throw it in the vicinity of one of the bowmen.
Okay, roll a T20 to hit.
Try to light him with fire.
Let's have a splash.
Three.
Okay, but it still goes off in a splash.
So it's not going to hit him, but there is a fire there.
It's going to light up the area, make it easier and I'll give him a negative to hit.
(01:21:47):
Okay.
And all four bowmen, all four remaining arrows are targeting Herrick.
Two misses.
One, another miss and a hit.
That's five points of damage.
(01:22:12):
Okay.
I've got to pass you a note.
I thought of much of it at the time, but I'm not okay.
Does AC bonus get better at 16?
You want from 15 to 16?
Yes.
AC gets better.
You get a plus one to missile fire and a plus one to initiative.
(01:22:36):
How in the heck?
Is it underneath the magazine?
Oh, yeah.
That means my initiative is actually six this round.
Now I'm just drawing a sword.
Of course.
(01:22:57):
You're rolling initiative on the round that you're drawing your sword.
But I have a bonus now, so I'll never get another one again.
Get bronze prize.
Can my con go over 18 and zero?
That's not great.
That's max.
However, being at 18, zero, zero is still good because that means you only need one wish to go to 19.
Caitlin, would you hand this to Aaron, please?
(01:23:19):
Yes, sir.
Okay.
That was missile fire.
We're in melee nine.
Melee eight.
Melee seven.
Melee.
What do you have?
Seven.
Okay.
So we're in seven.
Herrick first.
I'm going to just try and hit this guy.
Okay.
So you can hit him with both hands.
That means you get two attacks.
Oh, you have the hammer now.
(01:23:40):
Hit him with the hammer.
Three for two.
Roll to 13, which will be AC three before anything.
That's hit.
Six.
Six.
Six.
Okay.
All right.
So let's see how exactly gratifying this is.
(01:24:03):
Roll to eight.
Eight.
All right.
So you swing the hammer and go, whoop, and it hits him in the side and it crushes his
arm and his rib cage and he slams on the side of his head and shoulder on the ground and
skids a couple feet and stops.
Dead.
(01:24:24):
He's definitely dead.
Whoopsie.
Uh-oh.
Now, we should have a good end with that.
It would have been nice for me to use that in combat.
It would have been nice for me to use that in combat.
I know it works.
Yeah, if you're 11 foot tall.
Okay.
Is this the uncle?
You're in seven as well.
(01:24:46):
Yes.
So there is a guy that's fighting Chiron.
There's a guy that's fighting Klum.
Let me see if there's one that you could potentially maneuver on.
Okay.
So there is one that's fighting Lucas that you could slip out the back way away from
(01:25:07):
Chiron and then come around and backstab the guy that's fighting Lucas.
It's the only guy that you think would not see you coming basically.
I will do that.
Okay.
So you will do that in four.
I will pat him on the back and let him go on the wings.
Okay.
All right.
So he can get in.
All right.
That was Melee seven, Melee six, Melee five.
(01:25:30):
No me.
I am Melee five.
Okay.
It's six.
Sorry, I went sort of mashing.
Okay.
You will not have your bash sword sword to use that until the end of the round.
It's only one size surprise segment.
So that means you can use it at the end of the round.
Otherwise you wouldn't even be able to use it at the end of the round.
Say again.
(01:25:51):
Yeah.
So basically fighter type shirt plus one every level.
This is 21 minus one.
Because you're 20 at first.
Okay.
So we were initially five, four.
I get to the guy.
Okay.
So you're going to try to backstab one of the guys fighting Lucas.
You may roll to hit sir.
(01:26:12):
Is this the dagger?
Because if so, you are non-proficient.
No.
Or is it your knife?
Yes.
I would not use a dagger.
All right.
So roll to hit.
Actually, you could do both.
I could?
Yep.
I'll do both.
All right.
That's a hit.
And then the other one.
Also hit.
So both hit.
D4 and D3.
I got two on the first one.
(01:26:37):
Okay.
Two and three is five plus two for the knife makes seven times three for backstab is 21.
Plus you'd get three times any bonus on the dagger.
So he's gone.
Right.
So you're going to try to backstab the guy with your sword and they're beating on you
trying to penetrate your shield and armor.
Liam sneaks up and kills one of the guys you're fighting.
Very dishonorable death.
(01:26:57):
You stabbed him in the groin.
I don't feel that bad.
Okay.
You don't sympathize with the guy?
No.
We all sympathize with the guy.
It's a male trait.
All right.
We're in Melee three.
I have a twang of imaginary.
You're in three.
I'm in two of the winged and then I fall in three.
I pray he was a sub-den.
(01:27:17):
Okay.
I have two on you now.
Can I have my daggers drawn?
Yes.
I'll have both daggers drawn.
Can I hit one dagger at each of them?
You can try.
Yeah.
Sure.
Normally if you're going to attack two different opponents, you'd roll two separate initiatives,
which since you only rolled a two, that would have actually been better for you probably
because the first one would have gone a while ago.
(01:27:38):
Most likely.
Well, I may have rolled over a two this entire initiative.
So maybe not.
Yeah, it's maybe not.
All right.
So just roll two to hits.
Okay.
So what's your strategy before you roll?
Sure.
I'll do 10 breath weapons on the right hand.
Left hand is four.
Right hand is eight.
The left hand is a mess.
(01:27:59):
I'm pretty sure.
Four to eight, nine, is a hit.
So the one you needed hit.
This is back to the beginning.
Yep.
Correct.
Roll the one.
One plus three is four.
You get 10 points though?
Plus 10 is 14.
Okay, he goes down.
So clue finishes off one.
(01:28:20):
How do you do pick pocketing?
What dice do you use the most?
Percentile.
That's a percentile dice chance, equal to or less than that.
And it's opposed, so that's your base chance to pickpocket somebody who's the same level
as you.
So if they're three levels lower than you, you get an extra 15% chance.
They're probably higher levels than me.
(01:28:42):
Probably not, actually.
Okay.
Their numbers are becoming little down.
We're in initiative three, so we're going to do some attacking.
So on Lucas, shield parry.
You successfully shield parry.
Only just.
Chiron, shield parry.
He missed.
(01:29:03):
Clue, your remaining guy.
Hit.
Three points.
Pay three points.
You've got scratched.
Okay.
Initiative two.
Initiative one.
Lucas attacks with the bashing sword at the end of the round.
Roll an eight, which should hit.
(01:29:25):
It's less than zero.
Yep.
And I did 16 points.
Okay, he's gone.
Actually, it might be exactly zero.
That's crazy.
Okay.
All right.
(01:29:47):
So then we go to a new round.
No, because you didn't start drawing in surprise segment.
You're surprised.
You start drawing that round, so your long sword goes in the next round.
(01:30:10):
You have to have a considered fast weapon in order to get it in the same round you draw
it.
Okay.
So, missile fire.
Missile fire.
I'm going to take parting shots because the bowmen are going to run.
I'm going to take them all on Herrick.
Two hits.
Seven points of damage.
Herrick, um, a stirred.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
(01:30:31):
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Okay.
Um, stirred.
Not as much running going on as I've hoped.
(01:30:57):
Okay.
Okay.
And then, we're at — nearly nine.
Nearly eight.
Nearly seven.
Figures.
Is there anything near me?
Uh, yeah.
The one guy there.
Oh boy.
There were two on you.
Oh well this guy is not going to go.
(01:31:19):
Okay, so I will,
already close.
My first attack becomes after this round.
Three attacks.
19 to hit.
15 points.
He did.
Such a waste.
Really, just saved two hours training.
That's true.
(01:31:42):
Okay.
All for seven?
Yes.
You have one on you.
I'll hit him with both daggers.
I'm wearing a sword bear.
I'll do five points on the right hand.
This is a no hang.
And then I also have my.
Someone who's job is just to go.
I'm sorry, what are you saying?
My attacks are for two.
So you get four attacks of the draw.
This round?
Yep.
Right person, left hand, five to hit.
(01:32:05):
So I have right hand, 14 to hit.
Five is a miss.
So the right hand is,
four points, seven points.
I said five for the breath of the kiss.
Okay.
I'm gonna roll the other two hands just to see what happened.
But he's going down anyway.
The only one left is on Kyron.
Okay.
(01:32:29):
Nearly six.
Okay, in six he attacks Kyron.
To the parry.
The fact that this guy is not running in the major test.
He doesn't know that the bowmen all died.
He doesn't know that the bowmen all died or ran away.
He missed.
Okay.
I guess never attribute to malice
(01:32:49):
what can be easily attributed to.
Yep.
Ignorance in this case.
Okay.
Also, once you're engaged in melee,
running away is tantamount to suicide
unless you can get the guy off you basically.
Unless, I mean, if you're melee with a Cavalier,
but not that you would know that as a guy, but.
(01:33:14):
Melee five.
Me.
There's only one guy left alive.
He is on Kyron.
You can attack him.
It would not be a backstab.
Roll the hit.
Both that dagger and knife.
Missed.
Missed.
Even with plus two for flanking,
those are still both misses.
Okay.
Any other fives?
Four.
(01:33:35):
Okay.
There's one guy left.
He's on Kyron.
Plus there's one bowman
and you can hear him beating feet in the distance.
He's running away.
Yeah.
I'm going to go over and just get the guy off the Kyron.
Okay.
Roll the hit.
Plus two hit.
Better than the last one.
Okay.
Damage.
(01:33:57):
Five on the dice.
Okay.
If you want me to roll the eight, it's a four.
Yeah.
So he did not die from damage,
but he filled his death magic throw.
So I say Zoe does go down.
How much?
Start throwing your game.
Okay.
More than I was expecting.
All right.
Okay.
So there are no opponents.
So we'll drop out of combat at this point.
(01:34:19):
So last bowman got away.
Actually I even had to start trying to shoot him
as he's running away.
There we go.
He hit him.
Shot him from a distance.
It's almost comedic.
Last guy.
Poor guy.
I think I got away.
I'm not going to let you get away.
Okay.
We're doing good.
We're definitely doing experience tonight.
(01:34:39):
So we got to keep this moving here.
We're going to stop in about a half an hour
with the experience and it'll probably level up.
I'm going to level up.
People don't level up a lot at one time.
They level up once.
Every several years.
That's not true.
If you level up now,
finishing your training performance is easy.
What level is Lucas?
And how long are you in play?
Then what you said is obviously not true.
I can say you're level up.
(01:35:00):
I probably go up.
That's probably realistic.
When you're playing three sessions per two months,
you're talking about?
At some point it's a curve.
It's a curve.
It's exponential.
Yes.
It's a law of diminishing returns.
A million experience points just isn't worth much
divided over a party of 10 when you're 15th level.
Victor is one every two years.
No.
Yeah, about one every two years.
I would say that, yeah.
(01:35:20):
That might even be a little generous.
That sounds very down.
That's probably true.
And then of course,
in case you get level drained.
Oh, should we do the victory note?
I'm still salty about the time that I lost.
Although everybody else got experience points.
So they're just trying to get me off the field.
All right.
Asturd says,
we mustn't forget these are wild lands.
(01:35:41):
I'm going to collect my arrows,
but everyone should keep their eyes open.
Okay.
You wanna look at their bodies.
Can't see anything from up here.
About three minutes after the combat ends,
you just went back to normal size.
You remind me of the name of that.
And did that come from the girl of it?
Lucas has one also.
The game probably goes very clean.
I understand.
Why am I talking to you?
(01:36:01):
It has nothing to do with you.
That's why it was a note.
You don't know what his thoughts are in his head.
Also, he tended your wounds,
which means when you're on a loin cloth
and you get your wounds tended,
where was it hidden?
Between your toes?
He probably tended that.
Okay.
You'll need it.
Yes.
I can use it.
There's quite a bit of minor need.
(01:36:21):
I'm only down one.
I'm down five.
Okay.
Liam, you're full.
I'm up five.
That's it.
Lucas,
you have to get to twenty-five points.
Yeah, it doesn't matter.
Anybody else?
Asturd.
You're full.
No longer alone.
Wow.
Everybody but got minorly injured apparently.
Harry, I'm sure you're full or...
I took 17 in this combat.
You need to stay at 40 points for 24 hours.
(01:36:42):
25.
Okay.
Dad, you're totally good on Asturd.
And Asturd,
18.
You're bad at games.
Yeah, you're bad at games.
Okay.
And he's gonna hunt down arrows.
Definitely need to buy arrows.
We have more gold.
He has 12 arrows left,
which is really saying something for him.
(01:37:04):
Is there a reason not to have some?
I have some arrows actually.
You gotta give me a hand.
Actually, we've had some Mastercraft arrows.
Wow.
You guys rock.
She doesn't need them yet.
He doesn't need them yet.
He's got 12.
He has a couple magic arrows,
but he just has plus one arrow,
enjoyed by lightning,
and a quiver enjoyed by lightning.
He has a good chance of her.
He's like, no arrows, no quiver.
Also, he lost a bow.
(01:37:25):
So the current,
so here's your situation.
You're in the hills.
You know the hills are dangerous.
They're probably a little more dangerous
at night during the day,
but either way, they're quite dangerous.
You know this is wild country.
Okay.
From here to Gull Creek by the,
or Gull Creek, Gulls, Gulls Ford.
Yeah, Gull, whatever it is.
I always mess that name up.
Anyway, from here to the Gulls place
is gonna take you about five hours,
(01:37:48):
which means you could get there by dawn,
which will be a little more than five hours,
but you'll travel a little slower at night,
that kind of thing.
But you'll have to march all the way through the night
carrying big bags of gold and everything like that.
Or you could try to find somewhere
a little more discreet to camp out,
get some rest, and try it tomorrow in the daylight.
Either way is fine, whatever you'd like.
You are tired, even though people are
pretty much at full-point,
you've been going for a long time.
Yeah, we just work together.
(01:38:09):
The less time that we're in the wild,
the better.
Okay.
The more tired, the better.
I'm really wondering why.
Yeah, there's a pouch on each one,
but the truth is you're carrying a lot.
You could probably find a backpack.
One of them has a backpack.
And then you can fill it with that.
Get yourself some.
Look and see who's got the best pair of boots.
Mm-hmm.
Liam's going over the bodies, finding useful things.
Oh, you know what?
Check this out.
(01:38:29):
I'm gonna check my page.
I'm assuming you're searching multiple bodies
while they're making up the run we're doing.
You find a set of thieves' tools,
which means now you can pick locks.
All right, it's on your character sheet.
Thieves' tools, boots.
Speaking of, why did you guys leave the caravan
before you got attacked?
The information that you know is on your character sheet,
(01:38:50):
although that wasn't a bad answer.
I got nothing.
That's like your favorite response.
Oh, it was attacked.
Yeah, I got nothing for you.
Yes, you know it was attacked,
but he's asking how did you and Porvia know
to leave before the attack took place?
And your character sheet says.
I do not know how she knew the hog got the dog.
(01:39:13):
So she knew they were coming,
but he doesn't know how she knew.
He doesn't know.
I don't know what she had.
Okay, so we're pushing through is what we're saying, right?
All right, it's only five hours
with double encounter chances.
Here we go.
Plus it's more experience.
Everybody's mostly full of points.
Here we go.
(01:39:37):
In the mountains.
Okay, so you're moving through the woods.
You're not using light.
You're doing it by like moonlight, starlight
and in provision those of you who have that.
So as not to attract attention.
And you come to a point where you're in the hills,
(01:39:57):
you're west quite a bit from the volcano.
No, north quite a bit from the volcano.
And you come over a rise and look down
and it's like a low sweeping.
And then there's a little stream
that's meandering through the woods
and laying in the middle of there,
you can see a mound of fur.
It looks like a large bear.
Either it could be sleeping or it could be dead.
(01:40:20):
And who has in provision?
I have.
Both of you would say it is probably dead.
You can barely see it.
It's almost air temperature.
So you can divert around it
and like stay completely away from it,
but it will take you about a half mile
to a mile out of your way too.
So if you want to stay out of this area.
Pretty sure it's dead,
but there's the question as to when it killed it.
But I don't know that it's worth bypassing.
It's early fall, late spring or late summer.
(01:40:43):
Late fall.
In any case, they don't have a need
laying on the forest floor.
I could shoot once and see to make sure it's dead.
It's pretty well room temperature.
So different responses on that.
It's a pretty good indicator.
Yeah, there's that.
I can try to turn it.
Okay, so what do you do?
I can find it.
I'm just walking through.
You can see you're walking.
We'll find out what killed it.
(01:41:04):
If giant centipedes come running out of it,
I'm going to be most displeased.
I'm gonna run.
All right, you're gonna run on ahead
in the dark forest in the middle of the night?
Oh, okay, only if giant centipedes don't get it.
Make a mental note, Liam runs if giant centipedes come.
Got it.
All right, you cross the clearing.
The dead bear does not rise up
or otherwise interfere with you at all.
(01:41:24):
Anyone going to go probe it and find out why it's dead?
Or just gonna leave it go?
I will, I guess.
I will drag Liam through the crossing.
Okay, all right, moving on.
You have now moved from mountains to forest.
The next hour goes uneventfully,
except for you're getting tired
(01:41:45):
and you have to occasionally stop
and set the bags down and things like that.
And that's two hours, three hours.
You have no further trouble in the next hour.
You're now following the stream,
which you were told if you just follow the stream,
you will arrive back or you will arrive at Gulls Crossing.
I said it right that time.
(01:42:05):
We're getting close.
Every hour we get close,
most likely we are in order to do bad things.
Liam said he's drinking your beer water.
Okay.
You have water in your wine skin, so it's fresh.
It's pretty pure.
You did, but then you filled it back up
at the little room where we all refilled.
Oh yeah, that's right.
But he doesn't have a wine skin.
(01:42:25):
But you could have got one from the bandits that you killed.
So you can have a wine skin now if you want.
If you want, I can roll randomly
and see if you found any other kind of odd things
if you want.
On here it sounds like useless.
Yep, semi useless.
The good point is you attached them
to the person that you stole them from.
So you remember, I got this from that guy.
I got this from that guy.
Okay, here we go.
(01:42:46):
Let's see.
So you also found, no, you can't find that.
Wrong chart.
Okay, here we go.
You also found, hey.
You found some money, which you already knew that.
Not exciting.
You found wax, like parchment paper
wrapped around a merchant's meal.
So it's got some flatbread, cheese, dried apple slices.
(01:43:11):
Looks like food for a day.
And you also found a pair of shackles.
They are the kind that have to be put on and off
by a blacksmith.
Like pinned upon a metal pin through
is not a kind that locks.
You want them or not, it's up here.
Three sticks of beef jerky.
(01:43:31):
A small vial that has a black skull and crossbones
inked on the label.
A death potion.
A pair of bone dice.
And a small leather pouch of chewing tobacco.
Okay, back on encounters.
Three hours to go.
(01:43:54):
We already rolled three hours.
Yes, it's a six hour trip.
Oh, I thought it was five.
It was, but it's dark.
I added one for dark.
Anyway, you got it.
That was nothing.
So now we've got two left.
Last one in the forest.
(01:44:15):
Okay.
We are there, boy, we are.
We're just thinking.
Can't wait to get to an inn room.
Pancakes, bacon, syrup.
I got beef jerky.
Pancakes, bacon, syrup.
Just one more pancake.
Perhaps you'd like to write for Low Moon Adventures.
The Prince Albert series on Kindle
is a short story series where you can write your own
(01:44:37):
based on our prompts and donate them
or donate half their profit to the ministry.
I mean, our.
What time is it?
We're about half past flapjacks.
Okay, so you're at the point where the forest
(01:44:59):
is thinning out, the stream is running
on your left hand side and you're following,
you know, you have to leave the forest and follow it around
until you see gold crossing.
That's all that's left of the directions.
But before you've actually left the forest,
and this is like, it's beginning to get brighter.
Like the sun hasn't come up yet,
but it's beginning to kind of get that pre-dawn gray.
The shadows are thinner.
(01:45:21):
There is an ambient light as the sun is about to come up.
And you see, and Astur is been leading the whole time
and you kind of like motions for everybody to get down
and you all squat down.
And you see a large group of men in the dozens,
probably a couple dozen at least, moving into the forest.
And so they're like, you have to go this way
and they're this way.
And they're coming, generally speaking,
(01:45:42):
towards you maybe off a little bit.
And you could try to hide, you could try to sneak away,
or you could try to fight.
If it's a fighting force, you don't know for sure.
But anyway, it's a pretty good size force on that.
They look lightly equipped, lightly armored.
It's a meerkat.
Does it feel paladinly to hide?
I mean, not really.
Certainly not expressly so.
(01:46:06):
Liam slips away and hides behind a bush or whatever.
Do they have any sort of heraldry?
He doesn't move as silently as normally
because he's got a bunch of bags of coin.
Do they have any heraldry or anything visible?
No, they're all lightly armored,
like light leather or just clothes.
So they give the look of like skirmish troops.
Definitely a unit or a large group
could be as many as 30.
Okay, what are we doing?
(01:46:26):
I'm just saying we hide.
We're just getting out of their way.
Let me ask you this way.
Is hiding a chaotic action?
No, no, strategically speaking,
there's definitely a time to hide.
Avoiding conflict for no reason is okay.
I was just reading the book and it said
paladins have to repent of expressly chaotic actions.
(01:46:48):
If you flipped a coin to determine
whether you were going to hide or not,
you would have to repent.
And then it said that cavaliers can't be controlled in battle.
They will generally run head-to-head onwards
to strike on it.
Yeah, in the following order.
It's difficult to control.
(01:47:09):
Okay, so you're moved to nearby cover
and you hide the best you can,
kind of like waiting to see.
They do have some outrunners
that are a little bit out from the main pack
and they're moving through the woods
and they're looking for, kind of like scanning,
looking for any trouble.
The closest of those will move
(01:47:29):
within 20, 30 feet of your hiding places.
Okay, they're not talking, but the main group is talking.
You can hear some chatter and it's like,
Bob's looking forward to seeing his wife,
things like that.
That was the biggest sandwich I ever saw.
It wasn't technically a sandwich.
It only had bread on the bottom.
You ever wonder if it's the right thing
for us to just burn the whole town down?
(01:47:49):
I mean, it seems like that's just gonna stir up more trouble.
People want to hunt us down.
Who?
We killed everybody.
Who's gonna hunt us down?
Okay.
Eric goes.
So, I guess.
Now we kill them.
What I'm most about is if I'm like obliged
(01:48:14):
to expressly make a deal with all of them,
so follow the code of honor and try to do good.
You need a code and then your code will help
break that down, so we're gonna need to write that.
I've done some, mostly show mercy.
Yeah.
Preventing further harm,
which I guess kind of falls into that.
(01:48:35):
Well, if you stop them now, they can't do any more harm.
Right, that's kind of the line of thinking.
Because we stopped them, to be honest.
So, I guess at that, I'll stand up by the bushes.
Okay.
Lucas will also stand right behind me.
Okay, you stand up.
The two nearest scouts go.
Oh, gosh.
(01:48:55):
And then you can start to draw their swords.
You too.
Go.
Technically, they're winning.
Surprise.
Sorry.
Nothing.
Draw your weapons first.
How about that hammer?
Do I think I could swing it through more than one?
I mean, if they stand close together.
Draw your weapon, jump up and go, surprise.
(01:49:20):
All right.
Surprise.
This'll have to go quick because we have stuff to do.
All right.
Transform and eat them all.
I think I'm gonna use the sword.
Yeah, there's that.
The last 85 points of breath weapon I have.
That's a new day now.
Yay, I love new days.
Yeah, she's got a lot of marks on her hands.
You got all your lay on hands now.
Yeah.
(01:49:40):
Well, this is just.
And I've got 14 points.
So, as a question.
To try at some point.
Yeah, you can do it.
Okay.
You use once your breath weapon,
then have him do lay on hands
and see if it gives you any back.
Technically, I'm thinking of a damage.
Who knows?
She can even breathe in her human form,
(01:50:01):
but it damages her kind of.
Okay, so here's what we're gonna do.
In the interest of time,
I'm going to offer you a mortality roll of 2%.
I'll take it.
For the destruction of all of the bandits.
I'll take 2%.
Everybody agree?
Yep.
You need to roll the dice.
You roll 2% or less, your character dies.
(01:50:21):
If not, you're victorious.
That would include you too.
Yes.
I'll try it.
Everybody or nobody?
Everybody or nobody.
89.
What if one person says they're not willing to do it?
Then you have to fight it out.
You're not willing to take that risk.
90.
Roll the dice please.
It's like three sessions.
A sturd rolled 06.
(01:50:42):
I rolled a 10 too.
We got two 10s over here.
Ah.
50 cents.
Okay, so there are 32 bandits,
and you will get the experience for all 32 of them.
Yeah.
Okay, gonna do damage.
That was gonna tire you guys out.
Yeah, it does take 15, 20 minutes to kill them all off.
(01:51:03):
So,
Herrick will take 11 points.
Will I have to have it if I die?
No.
Take it.
But there's still,
But there's still my chance of getting hurt.
No, we're still fighting.
Oh.
Jeez.
I can't handle them.
Lucas, Lucas took six points of damage.
(01:51:25):
Pain death.
Like animals.
Just let you pretend to be dead.
Liam took three.
Okay.
I took the same amount of damage.
Kyra got his butt kicked.
He took 22.
I took the same amount of damage in the 32 bandit fight
as I did in the five bandit fight.
Well, it was a low roll.
Well, they were also all in melee.
(01:51:46):
So, like the only reason I even took it.
There would have been,
there would have been missile fire, but,
you were in melee by the time
the missile fire started to become dangerous, so.
He just rolled his gun.
Okay, and then,
Wow.
Clume.
18 points of damage.
(01:52:07):
And,
we'll say you used 30 points of damage.
Yep.
You said 18 damage?
Yep.
Mind you, you're gonna get most of it back.
Okay.
And then,
So, right.
He's talking about the tons of generators.
Four damages though.
(01:52:28):
I guess it doesn't really matter.
It doesn't matter.
If that's who does the healing,
gives it back, it won't matter.
You're down 30 off your max for the day.
Because you eat.
I don't want to.
I don't want to.
You hit most of the time.
You just got hit by a stray arrow or whatever.
Or tripped over a tree, or both.
Or tripped myself in the back.
Yeah, there you go.
Okay.
(01:52:48):
All right.
So then, the party
destroyed a large roving group of bandits,
dealt justice and all that good stuff.
Hopefully they didn't burn down the town we're going to,
because then there won't be any pancakes.
That would suck.
Are you hungry?
And then you go.
So you leave the woods, follow the stream,
(01:53:10):
and we will, as the sun is coming up,
you're going westwards, the sun's behind you.
The sun is coming up behind you,
and the long shadows of the trees reach out.
And then as you're kind of like, you're in the shadows,
you look out there and you can see
a large fortified building.
This is not a small building.
It's about, it's not perfectly square,
because it has a long building,
(01:53:31):
and then there's a square building,
and then there's a square courtyard.
But it's about 200 by 300.
It's big, about as big as a football field.
Bigger than a football field, really,
because of the width.
And it's sitting right on the edge,
and you can see a wheel that's in the water,
and it's turning constantly.
And the sun lights up the front of it,
because the sun's behind you,
lights up the front of it,
and you can see it playing its day,
and you see a pretty blonde lady walk out on the porch
(01:53:54):
carrying a bucket heading to the well,
and you can tell that it is fine.
It's not been damaged in any way.
I mean, it would pass for a keep,
but it's a stone, it's a very large stone,
fortified in, that's what it is.
We've had great experiences at fortifying things.
I give him a picture.
Somewhere I have a picture of that.
(01:54:15):
The one where we had your body outside
looking against the wall,
that was a fortified in.
That was this party, but it was Lucas.
Okay, and so then as you see goals crossing.
See goals crossing, that's the same
as when we were heading to the...
Yes, it's not goals crossing, it's see goals crossing.
You went the complete wrong way.
But you do see that there are goals
(01:54:35):
diving in and out of the water near the cave.
Cool.
Okay, all right, so we're going to do experience.
Let's see how people do.
I have a spreadsheet for this now.
Is that your logic?
That's one of them, yeah.
Well, it's the only one I have right now.
Here we are.
While you guys were off saving the universe,
(01:54:55):
I was learning about goals.
It's looking like a lot already, because...
We gotta go back up here.
Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba.
This became 11.
Ooh, that's a lot.
But the hit points were all lower.
Unless we get 42,000 experience points for party member.
Yeah, that's what I thought.
I didn't think so.
I got that much, that's for sure.
(01:55:16):
Yeah, I know you did.
I get it.
And you still get a full share.
That's what sucks.
That's what sucks, it does suck.
He did carry the sword of wounding around with him
and protect it and everything else
for the better part of two months in character.
And chose not to be distracted by the temptation
of the last second to trade it
for a beautiful long sword, though.
(01:55:37):
That's something.
Consider it momentarily.
Rather than now, we've got the sword.
I was gonna say, that's more of a trade of,
more than a trade of a level.
He elected not to take the long sword
in exchange for retaining his Culloden power.
We don't know for sure how he would have lost.
Ah!
Okay, so Liam will not get a share of everything.
He only gets a share of after they picked him up
in the Smithy.
(01:55:57):
So basically he gets a share of that battle
and probably one of the highest.
Oh, God.
In this session.
He gets a share of that battle
and he gets a share of the bandits and the bandits.
Is that it?
No, I backstabbed them.
Yeah, that's it.
That's the battle in the fortune.
Those are all the comments that we had.
Yeah, okay.
Plus any other check.
Um, oh, we really need, does my ride roll
(01:56:19):
get better with level?
Yeah, you have to look at it.
It goes up 1%.
It's 85% plus your level.
Okay, now we need bandits.
If that's against my rules, hurry to be off.
Mine said they each have a down.
And that is, yeah, it should be 90.
How many are you going to do?
A lot of stuff on my sheet was hurrying to be off.
I didn't add a band in the second.
So I kind of leveled up either.
Okay, um, 32 and 14 is 46.
(01:56:44):
It makes, let's see, 70, wow.
And your hit points is only three.
Where do I look to see?
Well, maybe they don't have 40.
Oh, putters handbook.
Yep, all the stats are the first thing in the player's handbook.
Except for the problem list.
What are you at?
(01:57:05):
He is at 1884.
1884 is plus three plus four.
Is it 1885, is that next?
No, 76 to 90.
But if you get to 90, 91 to 90,
91 to 99 is plus three plus five.
If the experience for the referment
Plus three plus six.
Well, that is not completely average.
Next, oh, probably your next level.
You're gonna probably go again.
(01:57:26):
Well, you'll probably go to two, five.
Two to 10.
Let's see what my role is.
What's my next role?
I can teach you nutrition.
My nutrition just gives you a plus one to 10
to all of your role for that, including your Dexon.
That's not bad, but my cons are already maxed.
My Dexon 1606.
(01:57:46):
It might apply to your charisma.
Strength will be maxed in 1606.
Yeah, my con and strength are, I don't know if that's a good.
I think it's 1872.
And then, do I get normal proficiency?
I get a weapon proficiency every level.
Oh, geez, you guys get to double the hog-gallons.
No, I think it's one every two.
You fought him twice.
(01:58:07):
But I shouldn't get one of these.
That's true.
It's still not gonna get fit 7,000 though.
Yeah.
Let me double check.
No, it's gonna be a big chunk of it.
I don't know, it depends on how it divides out.
I'm not that far yet.
20,000 would be a good thing.
I'm close now.
That's still such a long way.
One every two levels, so it would be.
Well, a big adventure like this, again, would add to it.
(01:58:29):
Right, but I mean, we have to do a big adventure like this.
Right.
That's the problem.
We definitely need to write part of the world for it.
Honestly, I have a lot of proficiency
to train for right now though.
The biggest thing is how tantalizing
the post-Sci and the beat, two for one.
Yeah.
Especially with where it blows.
You'll be devastated.
I need up to six attacks per round
(01:58:55):
without having to start in, well,
without having to have been invading.
I need a good trainer.
And a good role-player.
It'd be nice to learn some sort of weapon maneuver.
I could teach you, whoops, I did it again.
Whenever you take an attack,
if you start in base-to-base combat,
you roll, you make a dex check,
and then every attack turns into one need for a dex.
Doesn't that require your initiative, either?
Yes, it has to be four or above.
(01:59:16):
No, it has to be five or above.
After your dex box.
If I need to roll four, then that happens.
50-50 chance.
But if you make it, you get a double,
fine chance, but if you make it,
you double or more your attacks.
How do you play with your attacks?
I would, I would, yeah.
Worth it?
Is it just one proficiency slot?
So it's one or two.
I think it's one.
One weapon of voice.
(01:59:36):
Yeah, I think it's one.
Some maneuver, and it replaces your attack routine.
You can't do it in, and it's a surprise.
Oh, so it replaces your attack routine?
So you can't, if you get two attacks in a round,
you can't use it on both?
Correct.
Really?
No, you can't flutter and blows twice.
I've definitely been doing that wrong.
I think so.
I've done it before.
When I was, when I've been three for two,
I've done flutter and blows on both of those attacks.
I thought that was how you told me it worked.
(01:59:57):
You said for every attack you get,
you get one D3 attacks in it.
Hmm, I don't know.
I think it was that way because at that time
you were one for one.
I don't know why I would say that.
I don't know.
Because at that time it's true.
It wouldn't make any sense for it to be,
you get two attacks, it flutter and blows twice,
because then that would be D3 and D3.
Yeah.
And then if you're ever three for one,
it would be D3, D3 and D3.
(02:00:17):
That's way better than Master Stroke.
Or it could be, it could be slightly better than Master Stroke.
Master Stroke costs two slots.
It could be.
One attack.
How many times does Master Stroke have the potential
of getting nine attacks in a round?
First of all, you have to get nine or better on initiative.
So.
Which you get a bonus.
Yeah, but you consistently get five attacks on Master Stroke.
Yeah, easily.
And Master Stroke is how many preferences?
(02:00:38):
Two.
Okay, so this is one.
That's one, requires five on initiative to activate it all.
Which Master Stroke is gonna require high initiative also
and all the attacks.
And the dex jack to activate it.
Well, I'm not sure.
Well, sorry.
I'm not saying it's not bad.
And the bonus.
I'm not saying it's not better.
The big bonus here, Cavaliers don't take Master Stroke normal
because Cavaliers normally don't get weapon maneuvers.
They don't.
No, that's a fighter only thing most of the time.
(02:00:59):
There are some that go with weapon of choice.
Well, I don't know if it's for one.
I don't really think that Flurry of Blows
would be that good anyways, but.
Well, it's significantly worse than I thought it was.
So.
Not really.
It's only gonna matter on rounds
where you get multiple attacks.
And it's gonna have one attack.
Next level will be every round.
Yeah, which at his level is every round.
He has to use it to.
He has to use it.
(02:01:19):
He has to be in base base contact.
Use it anyway.
I wonder if I could train it,
put another slot into it, get a new deck.
Oh.
Get another provision.
Blacksmith stuff, because Ricky wasn't here,
he only gets half.
He gets a full allotment, but only half the credit.
I wonder if it was just a lot.
Geez.
Yep.
That's true.
Way worse than I thought.
(02:01:40):
It doesn't change.
I rolled a natural 20 on the first called shot.
No guarantee he would have done that.
Don't get it, because it's gone the other way too.
The problem is because he started
in negative low issues earlier.
Okay, so I'm just gonna read them off here
because I don't have a printer.
So I can write it down and confirm.
Kyron.
17343.
Yeah.
And you got 0.21 for a role playing experience.
(02:02:01):
17343?
Yep, 17343.
How many still get temperature?
Right.
Lucas.
16913.
And you got 0.18 for a role playing experience.
Clune.
17486.
And another temperature.
Correct, yeah, temperature.
0.22 on role playing.
I do have that.
And I'm still.
You add 1691.
No, yeah, 1740.
About 12,000.
(02:02:21):
Not in bearing.
Nope, not right.
22,000 in bearing.
Does she lose her proficiencies from the last level
when she hits a level or when she trains a level?
She's not gonna get any new proficiencies this level,
I don't think.
It's only if you get proficiencies at that level.
If you get proficiencies because of your level.
Weapons every level.
No. Every second.
Or fighters every third,
can't others every second.
I think barbarians go through that.
I think that was my switch.
(02:02:41):
Yeah, but I think you're right, they do,
but it doesn't really matter much for them
because they're non-weapon proficiency penalties,
minus one.
So they need to be used if they're like.
More important for non-weapons one.
So your non-weapon proficiencies go.
You know what we need?
One per three levels.
A shopping episode.
So you got first, fourth.
(02:03:02):
I think we've earned it.
Seventh.
Well, I got a weapon and non-weapon
when I leveled up to six.
Or two.
And I have a drink.
Sword bearer.
I'm just carrying my weapon around, man.
I don't want to drive.
I started training for the weapon, but.
Oh, I think that's, yeah.
I think we were doing her every two levels
But you won't get another one.
(02:03:22):
So I don't lose these unless I get another one.
Right.
And you get at eight level,
you get another weapon and non-weapon
and you haven't spent those two yet,
then they disappear.
So I'm gonna hire a handling
and put them in a backpack
and have them carry my walks.
I really gotta keep my hands.
You need your backpack always in something bigger.
I'll make him a.
Okay, James.
17630.
(02:03:43):
And.23 on role playing.
The role playing percents are in there.
I've got them.
I'm just telling you those
so you know where they're at.
Like how to get higher numbers.
Don't be distracted by your cell phone.
Play your character.
Show up on time.
You got this, you did.
Yes, you did.
We also got more time on your phone, so.
Sorry.
(02:04:03):
Okay, so on today's date,
I have this cool thing I'm doing now
because I had all these comments
about how it takes longer to get experience
and stuff like that.
So now I'm actually using a spreadsheet.
Still have no idea what that area does.
You said the role playing experience was turned in?
Yes, yes.
We only had to add the 10%.
We'll bite it and it may vary at a level.
(02:04:24):
Oh, sorry.
That was, I think that was one thing.
I understand.
We just always had to do it ourselves.
The spreadsheet does it now, so that's why.
The main reason I'm telling you
is just so you know where you're at.
I mean, I know we have to do the 10%.
Yeah, the 10% is the last we added.
Most of the other times I'm used to being in there.
And I am 3,400 away from a level.
(02:04:45):
Wow, that's close.
Oh, you know what?
You're not gonna make it.
We haven't done the gold yet.
It's not gonna be enough for that.
Well, it depends.
I'll take all the gold and get it counted, guys.
It doesn't matter.
Everybody, it's when you get it carried out, not.
We didn't get 50,000 gold?
No.
We did not get 50,000.
Experience.
(02:05:05):
I need 200,000.
Well, you might level up from the gold.
Or no, it's every one gold piece.
The gold was or was not created then?
It was not.
So it might level up.
It's really close.
Oh my goodness.
She's very close.
Wonder how big she is.
She's about just over a thousand off.
Probably more than he can eat.
Oh, she's gonna get really close.
I think she's gonna make it.
Yeah, because of the gems.
(02:05:25):
She's going to what, seventh level?
Might get lucky from maybe a second.
When we draw the gems,
maybe somebody will draw some really big gems.
She's actually just under 2,000.
Everybody's gonna be seventh level of beef.
Seventh?
Excuse me?
Yeah, you're going to what, eighth?
Yeah.
No one's gonna have a 20 strength.
You gotta fight people.
I don't have a 20.
Or 19 strength.
Hey, I'm a little far.
Uh, it's an eight.
You're a cameo character.
(02:05:47):
He didn't even get to fight people.
I know, it's a Zuri just hit eight levels.
Liam's an awesome character.
Although, if I go in with my spell selection
that I've got right now,
he's just sucked a bunch of experience.
He needed to turn into a giant.
This spirit.
Definitely else.
If you think of this spirit.
Just don't rotate until you fight anybody.
I'm gonna say he's a giant.
I'm thinking a child there.
In all fairness, he traded his Fire Elemental
(02:06:07):
so that Kyron could get a level.
Well, I mean, the Fire Elemental might have gone anyways.
We've got him here.
As a general rule, elementals perform one task.
That's right, this is a ketchup level.
Oh, I get the idea.
So when he asked can we show the way
to the four of the volcanoes, that was his own task.
(02:06:28):
Well, yeah.
I heard it a little less than I would have done.
I had a forge level spell.
Yeah, but you've been keeping with it
for a long time before he gets the one task done.
Where he just gets out of the sun.
And if somebody starts to mess with it,
he also might just do it.
I got one, I got one, now I got two.
At night, I get a fifth, so I'm back on the fire.
Maybe it's good.
Okay, so we'll let Katelyn draw half
(02:06:50):
and we'll let Caleb draw half.
It's easy, I've got this.
Katelyn will draw six and Caleb will draw five
and somebody's gonna have to keep a list.
I have most of the bags.
I can keep a list.
I've got four bags.
Because they're the youngest role players.
They have the least.
So you said somebody needs to keep track of things?
Yep.
Can't Caleb add more role-play experience
than Katelyn at this point.
You can tell his pages, but he's always
gonna keep track of things.
You can do them all at once, yeah.
Oh, yeah, I can.
(02:07:11):
Well.
Probably better not, because some of them
are a lot more valuable than others.
Okay.
Okay.
3,621.
Pretty good.
That's a good start.
Oh, I'm sorry, 27.
Do I need to have a phrasal?
I do.
A horse phrasal.
I kinda also have horse phrasal.
You do.
You should just get it.
One is dying.
You can draw that one again, I'm gonna crack up.
Hey.
(02:07:32):
280.
You're like playing fleet deacrescent?
Yes.
Very good.
I think I'm on the top.
On top.
Heavy unfair, wouldn't it?
What?
The one that she already drew that was worth
3,627 was on top.
That's fair to me.
You need like a generic spitting card to put on top.
1658.
She'll almost put a generic card on the top.
I'm gonna have to go look over that one.
I can't draw.
(02:07:52):
3,627.
She's got the luck of the draw.
I think that's the only one that's worth
that much in this entire week.
It's worth it.
You're right.
Might be enough.
What?
It's for all of us.
I'm just going to split.
How many have you got for so far?
Yeah, four.
Yeah, so I'll split between six people.
So that's 6,000 right there, 1,000 each.
2918.
She's definitely got that.
I bet you Caleb can't draw this well.
(02:08:14):
That's six.
Now we got five.
And this is only half?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, the gold is 4671.
Yeah, she's one XB per point.
1320.
1320?
Yeah, one XB per point.
It's only split six ways.
Come over here, Caleb.
The gold pieces alone are not having your name.
No.
4671 divided by six is?
Way more than 2,000.
Whoa.
(02:08:35):
Oh, 4600.
4600.
46, what was the number?
4671.
I didn't even know that.
I didn't even know that.
I don't want cards.
But yes, between the gold and gems,
we're already at enough.
1658.
You see one that looks green and vaguely lumpy.
Draw that pear shaped.
You can only see the top one.
The top one is pear shaped.
It's not, the one she was drawing
(02:08:55):
was really worth a lot.
It's not pear shaped.
But you can take that top one.
That's roughly pear shaped.
That's roughly pear shaped.
1539.
I have a mace I have to sell.
A mace you have to sell?
Yeah.
Well, I mean, technically it was yours,
but I gave you the one that I had.
We traded.
Now it's mine.
Can't take that one.
Yeah, I don't even have a weapon of choice in mace,
so I need to get another one.
280.
That's more than what I expected.
(02:09:17):
Can I retrain my weapon of choice mace
into weapon of choice giant hammer?
No.
What?
No.
Why not?
You can take a weapon.
It's not even a required weapon of choice.
It's not.
What is?
1539.
You can't retrain them?
No.
Even if you could, hammer's not required.
If you could retrain them,
that would totally undo the negative that cavaliers get
that they have to pick their weapons choice in order.
(02:09:38):
But totally eliminated.
What if you can only retrain the last one you pick?
1320.
Which is coincidentally, for me-
It's a general rule, people don't retrain proficiencies.
How do you justify that?
I forgot how I spent 40 hours training with this.
And I-
I mean, if you don't train with it for a while,
that kind of does happen.
But you don't forget the memory of it.
(02:10:00):
You still are proficient,
you just don't get the plus one to hit.
You just have to put a little bit of-
It's muscle memory too.
It's not like it's just an experience that you remember.
It's muscle memory.
Really, the only part of it that I want is the-
How am I supposed to draw five?
Oh, how many do you need?
Draw five?
You're done.
I've stopped using my hammer.
I've now started learning giant hammer.
Take a non-weapon proficiency
(02:10:21):
in retraining weapon proficiencies and we'll talk.
Okay.
Sorry, what was the last one?
All right.
1320.
1320?
That was the only one you worked on five.
He was only supposed to get five.
He came up with it, he got five.
Oh, he only got five.
Okay, okay.
Did the gold number that you just said,
did that include the bags that we pulled up five?
Yes.
Are my saves-
I just randomly, I just kind of lumped it all together.
Are my saves going to improve at seventh level?
(02:10:44):
It could certainly look.
I don't think so.
I got a lot of stuff outside of it,
but I think it goes up to nine.
It gets six, I think, five.
Okay.
Yes, they do improve at seventh level.
Ah, that's not wild.
Paralyzation of how poison and death magic
is 10 base.
Petrification polymorph is 11 base.
Broad staff wand is 12.
(02:11:04):
Total is 1,966.
Breath, that's a lot.
Not counting the gold.
Yeah, that's what I got too.
4671.
4671 should be-
Breath weapon is 12.
137.
That's a lot.
Spell is-
Hold on, I said it wrong.
Oh no, I said it right.
Okay, spell is 13.
So.
1,073.
I'm gonna be close.
And then don't forget plus two propellers on every save.
(02:11:24):
I like 2,000.
Okay.
Well, I don't know.
Let me put a note in here for what the gold total was.
What was the gold total?
What is my-
With the gems?
What is my HP?
Yes.
24437.
24437.
What your max hit points were at first level.
Oh, you know what?
What's your-
You gotta do the multiplier for role playing.
(02:11:45):
What?
Is it because you started at a negative level?
I started at a negative first level.
I think it's in there as well.
Yep.
And when your con goes up-
24437.
You also get that bonus.
Divided by six.
Okay, and then you just-
Exactly, I did that.
It's 4106.
So people are at 4106.
So I operate to negative-
Well.
Gold XP.
(02:12:05):
And then Kroon's-
You operated-
What?
0.22.
Well, what's 11?
41065.22.
Or 11.
Well, I got a lot of stuff in this long list.
Kind of crazy.
What else did you get?
Other than a number one.
So-
Number one saves.
I got my decks up to 16.
My strength went up a category.
Hit points, obviously.
Lance, weapon of choice goes up to plus two.
(02:12:27):
More land hands, Lance.
My land hands right now went down to 14, 15.
I get 15.
Went up to two per one with my weapon of choice.
So it'll be 55.
Stay tuned for more Lomunian adventures.
