Meet Your Host:

Hey there! I’m Michelle Kui—Visibility Marketing and Speaker Success Coach.

I’m the founder of Elevate LifeCoaching, where I help coaches like you build a stand-out brand, attract high-quality 5-6 figure clients, and land paid speaking gigs—all by leveraging the #1 most important asset in your business (hint: it’s not JUST social media!).

My Journey into Public Speaking & Visibility

My speaking journey started early—at 9 years old when my dad voluntold me to enter a speech contest (thanks, Dad!). Since then, I became the go-to speaker whenever someone needed a voice on short notice.

From leading corporate workshops to running training sessions, I thrived where most people froze—grabbing the mic while others sat back, hoping not to get called on.

After working with hundreds of coaches, I realized a HUGE missing piece that most entrepreneurs completely overlook—and it’s the #1 strategy top coaches use to grow their business, attract premium clients, and get booked on bigger stages.

Are you using it? If not, let’s change that. 🚀

Michelle (00:00):
Welcome back to Make it Visible Podcast.
I'm your host, michelle Kui,and today I am sharing something
incredibly close to my heart.
This is my Profitable CoachFormula, and if you are a coach
who's passionate about making adifference in the world but
struggling to get your businessgetting off the ground, this
episode is for you.

(00:20):
So this week, I actually justannounced that the Profitable
Coach Formula is open forenrollment and I thought I'd
come on to the show to talkabout the reason why I created
this.
So I created this programbecause I kept seeing so many
talented coaches struggling, notbecause they lack the coaching
skills, but because they didn'thave the tools and effective

(00:45):
marketing strategies how to putthemselves out there so that
their dream client can actuallyfind them.
And it is quite heartbreakingto keep watching these new
coaches investing thousands inlong-term programs and only to
find out where is my next clientto come from.
So let me know if this issomething that you're struggling

(01:07):
with and you're sitting thereand nodding your head and you're
thinking, yes, michelle, let'stalk about this.
Listen, I know that feeling.
I was there six years ago whenI first got my coaching
certification.
I graduated from IPAC.
Probably I would say I highlyrecommend IPAC to all the newbie
coaches who's interested tobecome a certified coach.

(01:29):
I highly recommend the program.
The program is great.
You do end up spending a wholelot to invest in the program
itself, but the reward theprogram itself is really
rewarding.
But nonetheless, here's what Ithink rewarding, but nonetheless
, here's what I think Truthfully.
I think the program itself isgreat, but what the coaching

(01:51):
program didn't tell me is that, hey, once you become certified,
you got to get out there andyou're going to start market
your coaching business and it'snot as easy as many of the
coaches had talked about.
Some of these seasoned coaches, they've been doing this for
years and years, right.
So sometimes we go into thatspace of oh yeah, you'll get to
it, you'll get, you'll finallyget off.
That's great.

(02:12):
But when you're that personwho's looking at your saving
account, looking at your bankaccount and your money keep
draining out and there's noinput in, you start sitting
there and getting very anxious.
Right, tell me, that is you too.
So I remember six years agowhen I first started out this
coaching business, I was sittingthere and I was feeling very

(02:33):
anxious, like where is the moneyand when is the money going to
come in and it wasn't easy.
And a lot of people said evenone of my best friends.
He's the owner of a local gymand he has a lot of clients and
even he had told me that, oh,michelle, just expect that first
year you're going to do a lotof free stuff.

(02:53):
No, kidding, I felt likethere's a lot of people who tell
you right off the bat oh, justexpect to do a lot of free stuff
.
And one of the things I trulybelieve is that marketing is a
skill that anybody can learn andyou don't have to spend your
whole year just doing the freestuff.
And this is why I createdProfitable Coach Formula,

(03:14):
because I truly believe that, starting from today, as you're
listening to the podcast episode, if you've been doing a lot of
things that's for free, today isa day to change that, because
the reason why I created thiscoaching program is because I
want to provide coaches with aclear, actionable path so that
you know exactly how to createyour own success when it comes

(03:40):
to marketing.
So we'll get to it.
So let's get into it.
When it comes to marketing, sowe'll get to it.
So let's get into it.
Tension and get them excited tobuy from you should never be

(04:03):
the reason you give up on yourdream to become a full-time
coach.
I'm all about making marketingthe easiest part of your
coaching business, so that youcan turn a passion for coaching
into a visible and profitablereality.
So buckle up, ladies, let's getstarted.
Okay, as I was saying, I've seenso many coaches with the drive

(04:27):
and passion they wanted to serve.
They get out there.
They're ready to work, they'reready to roll up the sleeves and
changing people's lives andhelping them to see a different
perspective.
But they often struggle withhow to articulate their value in
the way that actually attractstheir paying clients.
Now, I'm not saying that you'renot going to attract clients.

(04:48):
I'm saying paying clients.
Right, and earlier I wastalking about that first year.
A lot of people tell me that Ihad to do just expect doing
things for free.
Doing things for free itdoesn't sound very appealing to
you, does it?
Especially to newbie coaches, and so we end up almost
compromising for the fact that,oh, if I want to get this

(05:09):
coaching business up and running, I should expect to work a lot
for free.
And so a lot of newbie coachesend up doing that.
They're exchanging the barterbecause they don't want their
skill to get rusty, but then, atthe same time, they're not
making any money because they'renot putting themselves out
there.
They're not.
Then, at the same time, they'renot making any money because
they're not putting themselvesout there, they're not expecting
much in return, so they're notasking for the sale, which I'm

(05:31):
speaking from my experience aswell.
That was what I was doing sixyears ago and marketing is very
interesting because I never gotinto marketing until I actually
started this business and Irealized from that, by doing all
the things I had to do myselfin front of more people, more

(05:52):
audience and there's more view, right, there's more people
liking and watching my videos.
All that is going to help me tobring business in.

(06:15):
If I don't have that audience, Idon't have the visibility how
can I possibly get any tractioninto the business?
Yeah, sure, there's argumentthat hey, just tap into your
inner circle your friends andfamily, people you already know.
Maybe it's people that you workwith.
But how many clients can youactually generate from your
inner circle?
Probably not many, right?

(06:37):
And then you're running intothat situation of you're just
relying on your referral.
Now, sometimes I don't knowabout you, but every time I ask
for a friend for a referral.
It's like you have to keepfollowing up with them, keep
asking them.
Hey, do you remember what Iasked you?
Or do you remember I told youabout the fact that I became a
life coach, or I became a coachor corporate coach whatever the

(07:01):
coach that you wanted to pickthat niche?
You are expecting someone toremember what you're asking them
.
I don't know about you, butthat is a very unreliable way to
me at least.
It sounds like a veryunreliable way of running your
business.
You're depending on someoneelse's word of mouth to keep
your business going and keepyour business running.

(07:25):
And so it's not just about theasking or who do you know, and
just tapping into your friendsand family circle.
It's about being able to getout there and tell your story,
being able to connect with theaudience that is a complete
stranger that might not know you, and being able to show them
what you can do, what change youcan make in their life.

(07:48):
And so that's where theprofitable coach formula comes
in, because it's a problem thatI keep seeing, and coaches spend
so much money on theseyear-long program, hoping that
they're going to find success, but what I end up finding is end
up backing to where theystarted and still wondering how
do I get clients.

(08:09):
And I remember one of the emailthat I have received from a
newbie coach who came to me andshe was crying.
She was like, on the Zoom callwe're doing Zoom call and she
was crying in front of me.
She said she was ready, she gotout.
She spent a lot of money hiringa business coach.
She ended up investing a lot ofgood time focusing on her niche

(08:33):
, developing her signaturemethodology, and she spent so
much money just creating somewebsite that when she wake up
and she's sharing to the worldshe's really happy and very
proud of it.
And she had almost everything, all the ducks in a row, right.
Everything was in place.
And when she jumped onto thediscovery call first call, she

(08:58):
had her script, her templatesthat she got from this business
coach.
She was ready to go and herheart was there.
She was passionate about it.
That first sales call, she wasso nervous, right, she followed
word by word and script byscript on how that sales call
was going to go.
Of course, people buy onemotion, people buy on

(09:22):
connection, people buy theenergy and so, of course, course
, that first sales call, theclient was not interested, and
so that was shocking, because Ihave this is what she said to me
and she said I had everythingin place, but that didn't go
well and I even have the scriptthat was ready in front of me.
That didn't go well interested.

(09:57):
The third one was notinterested.
The fourth one was notinterested, and so at this point
and she's there she's stillcrying on the Zoom call, at that
point she was panicking becauseshe already has spent so much
money and time and energy inworking and getting this far
right and at this point she'sasking herself what is wrong
with me.
And so she ended up not doinganything at all and so she

(10:19):
wasn't focusing on anything andshe wasn't starting anything on
her coaching business.
So she basically just put hercoaching business on the hole on
the side and so she startedgetting back to where she
started.
She was working a corporate job,so she went back to the
corporate job, and so I hearstories like horrifying stories

(10:40):
like this, like from newbiecoaches and coaches who have
reached out to me via email, andit just really break my heart
to hear that you have to spendso much money, energy and time
and you still haven't learnedhow to market yourself

(11:01):
authentically and effectively.
And so this is the main reasonwhy I created this Profitable
Coach Formula because theProfitable Coach Formula does
not take you a whole year to doa lot of the things that you
need to like the foundation youneed to build.
And what also set theprofitable coach formula apart

(11:23):
like no other, I can bet onmoney that there's no other
marketing program that actuallyincrease and incorporate
storytelling, especially forlife coaches and coaches who is
in this empowerment field.
There's no marketing programthat's out there that actually
incorporate the storytelling intheir marketing strategy.

(11:45):
And this is something thatreally makes the profitable
coach formula standing apart, because it's not just a
marketing strategy, it's not abusiness tactic.
It's actually the heart of howyou communicate your values so
that you can bring and attractthe dream clients or the paying

(12:06):
clients.
Because, truthfully, whenyou're able to articulate your
own story in the way that reallyconnect emotionally to your
audience, what you're doing isyou're actually creating trust,
you're creating the relationship, you're building that
connection.
It allows you to do it a lotfaster, and this is exactly how

(12:27):
I started my life coachingbusiness before I became a
marketing coach before I becamea visibility marketing coach.
I became a marketing coachbefore I became a visibility
marketing coach, and this isalso like the storytelling part
is also the part that makespeople to say, hey, I'm really
resonating with this, I can seethe possibility of how I can do
this.
I need to work with you.

(12:48):
The program itself obviously thestorytelling is only one piece
inside the program.
I created the program because Iwanted to be comprehensive.
I wanted to make sure thatyou're not only telling your
story.
You're telling your story for areason, and that reason is so
that you can generate more sales, you can get more leads, you
can actually run a business.

(13:09):
And one of the things I believeand this is something that I
teach to all my students andanyone who attend my bootcamp,
you would know that this issomething that I preach all the
time is that how newbie coachesbuild business is that they
focus on oh, I need to have thebusiness, so let me hire a
business coach first.
And what you don't realize isthat you can't have a business

(13:30):
unless you actually have theleads, you actually have the
audience, you have the demand.
And how do you get the demand?
You need your marketing right.
So your marketing is going tofuel your business, your running
operation, all the things thatyou need to do in your business,
but without the marketing, youhave no finance, you have no
money that comes in to actuallyallow you to run the business.

(13:54):
So, yeah, hiring a businesscoach is great and I encourage
you to do that, but at the endof the day, when you're first
starting out, you probably wantto generate some money first
before you can actually do allthe things that you wanted to do
in business operation, right?
So it makes sense why you willfocus actually on your marketing

(14:15):
strategies first rather than oh, where do I apply my LLC?
You don't even have enoughassets to protect.
Why should you worry about theLLC?
If you think about some of thethings that newbie coaches are
thinking, it sounds great, Iwant to have a business.
But you can't have a businessif you don't have the marketing.
You don't have the people.

(14:35):
You don't have the marketing, you don't have the people.
You don't have the demand.
If there's no demand, no matterhow much supplies you have, it
doesn't matter.
And so, throughout theprofitable coach formula, I show
you how to.
Number one is to create yourpersonal brand and being on a
social media world or being anonline space is so important to
actually stand out from allthese other coaches who are

(14:56):
doing the same thing, right, especially in online space.
There's so many and it's sonoisy.
So how do you differentiateyourself?
And that's an art itself, andbranding is something that I'm
very passionate about.
And story brand is probablysomething that's very commonly
heard, because your storytellingis going to allow you to
differentiate yourself, becauseeverybody's story is different,

(15:20):
and so I teach a lot in depth, especially in module number one
and module number two, when westart identifying your niche,
who your ideal client is.
All these are just yourfoundation on how you built your
business, and nowadays it'seven more important to bring in
your own story because nowpeople are using AI left and

(15:44):
right.
So when you look around onsocial media, there's a lot of
people using the AI.
You can totally tell that theyhave used the AI because it's
very scripted.
It's very robotic that theyline by line, just straight up,
copy and paste it onto their ownsocial.
But with the magic ofstorytelling, you bring in a
personal touch behind it andthere's art behind how you do

(16:06):
story, and just the other day Iposted online that what
storytelling is and is not.
It is not a laundry list andmost people, most coaches, when
you look around what they getwhen they do storytelling, it
usually looks like a laundrylist.
So that's one of the highlightsthat I have inside the Propable
Coach Formula.
There's a total of five modules, five training modules.

(16:29):
One of the modules I focus onis creating your offer, because
it's very important for newbiecoaches to actually know what
you're going to offer to youraudience.
And so how do you articulatethat offer?
You may create a methodology, you may create a signature
methodology that you wanted tooffer to your ideal clients, but
if they can't see the valueright, you don't know how to

(16:53):
communicate or articulate thatvalue to them.
It wouldn't matter howbeautiful you package this offer
, they wouldn't want it.
So this is where I see a lot ofnewbie coaches.
They get stuck.
They have the niche, they workon their niche, they work on
their signature methodology.
And now what?
And so they end up stillthrowing that spaghettis around

(17:14):
in marketing and trying to likeit's a hit or miss.
They have something to sell, but they don't know how to sell
it.
So at this point you might beasking okay, so, michelle, what
is inside that profitable coachformula?
So, basically, it's an eightweek online coaching and this is
not a generic course.
It's a step-by-step system withthe training module that's

(17:38):
going to design to guide youthrough all the key elements,
starting from how do you startfrom the foundation, right?
So I talked about creating yourown personal brand, identifying
your unique value proposition, what do you have to bring onto
the table, and also how do youscale your business.
So later on, we also talk abouthow do you have to bring onto
the table and also how do youscale your business.
So we later on, we also talkabout how do you create content

(18:00):
so that more people can see yourbusiness.
Your ideal client can actuallyfind you on the online space.
There's also live coaching hourswith me, and this is also one
of the unique thing about theProfitable Coach Formula I don't
hand you over.
So when you signed up to theProfitable Coach Formula, you're
actually working with me, andsometimes it's shocking for a
lot of coaches.

(18:20):
Oh wait, you mean I get to workwith you.
Yeah, isn't that the wholepurpose that you hire a coach?
So, yes, you do get to workwith me.
You have access to our livecoaching calls where we tackle
all the questions that you havethat you're working through the
module.
So any question that you haveon your assignment, your modules
, you bring that to me andsometimes clients will even send

(18:43):
out emails to me and say, hey,I got this opportunity, what
should I do with it?
And so I'm there to support you100%.
And we also have a privatecommunity.
You're really part of thecommunity of a lot of different
like-minded coaches and some ofthem are actually alumni from
the program that you'll get tomeet Occasionally.

(19:04):
I'll have a group session whereI bring everybody together, if
I wanted to address to everybody.
And so you're part of that hugecommunity that I created.
So you're getting the support, you're getting the feedback and
you're also getting theaccountability to making sure
that you're staying on track.
And these coaching hours wemeet every week so that there's

(19:24):
no I'm going to be.
This is something I tell mystudent all the time.
I said I'm one of those peoplewho would push you off the cliff
, but I'm also going to holdyour hand.
And they start laughing becausethey can totally see that we're
on coaching call.
So there's definitely thataccountability part.
I'm like.
You told me you were going todo this and what happened?

(19:45):
And you also have access to mytemplate.
You get to.
So I have created a lot ofdifferent assets and templates.
So one of the things one of myclients who reached out to me
because she had this opportunityto do a workshop and so she
reached out to me she's Michelle, do you have something like
this?
Because I got this opportunityto do a workshop and I don't

(20:07):
know where to begin.
Listen, I have done so manythings before you that I have
created a whole lot of libraryof these templates Workshop, not
a problem.
So when I sent her my workshoptemplates and outlines, she was
shocked.
She was like oh my goodness, you're a lifesaver.
Yeah, you get access to allthese templates that I have

(20:29):
created.
I started out exactly where youare.
I was a life coach.
I was a mindset coach.
These are the things I havedone and created.
Don't worry, I got you.
You have my complete library oftemplate.
Anything that you need, youjust ask.
If I don't have it, don't worry, I will create that for you.
You also have.
So this is something that I keptthinking like.

(20:51):
Okay, so you have the template, you have the community, you
have the module, you have thelive training.
Call with me.
What else do you need?
So a lot of coaches who come tome, they wear multiple hats in
their life.
They're either mom or they workat a full-time job, so they
have something else, they havesome responsibility.

(21:12):
Or they work at a full-time job, so they have something else,
they have some responsibility.
And so one of the things I keephearing and I keep seeing is
that everybody almost allcoaches that I encounter they
need a way of organizing theirstuff, their asset, ideas,
keeping track of all the record,so they need a centralized

(21:33):
place in order to keepeverything together.
And so what I did was I am sucha techie like a technology
person, so I love technology andtechnology seems to be like it
comes easy to me.
So one of the things I createdis I created a done for you
coach console CRM.

(21:54):
It works like a CRM.
In case you don't know what CRMis, it's client relationship
management application.
So there's different forms anddifferent types of them.
Now I created this.
It's a basically a centralizedplace where you can store your
ideas, you can store your tasks, your daily activity, you can

(22:14):
store your client's notes.
You can, depending on howtechnology skills that you have,
you might even be able to shareyour session notes directly
with your client.
You get to store your contentideas all in one place, so it's
a really centralized hub whereyou can store everything that's

(22:36):
coaching related in just oneplace.
You can even journal right.
So and I created it, it's aNotion template.
So basically, once you get intothe program, all you have to do
is just duplicate that templatecopy and you have it right
there in front of you and youcan start using it.
So that's one of the bonus Iincluded inside the profitable

(22:56):
coach formula, because I know alot of coaches.
You're wearing multiple hatsand you're having multiple
responsibility, so I wanted tomake sure that you have a place
that you can just keepeverything centralized and
organized.
And this thing particularlybecome important later on when
we're talking about your contentcreation.
So you're doing storytelling, you're incorporating that into

(23:18):
marketing, you're probably goingto create a lot of content that
you're going to share on social, and where do you keep them?
And the last thing that I wantyou to do is being all scattered
and feeling like overwhelmed.
If you keep everything just inone place, it's going to help
you tremendously.
So that's one of the bonus Iincluded in the profitable coach
formula.
The other bonus I've includedwas because coaches keep coming

(23:43):
to me and they're saying, michelle, what do I write about?
I'm running out of idea.
How do I get more idea that Ican create?
So what I decided was Iincluded a full year of content,
ideas, and these are topicsthat you can use for your video,
you can use it for your blogposts and every single day Okay,
every single day I'm talkingabout 365 days of ideas that you

(24:06):
are never going to run out ofideas to write or what to create
, what to talk about on yournext social media post with your
videos or your blog post, likeanything that you're creating
under the sun.
I got you, I'm giving you theideas that you can create, and
these are generalized, so, nomatter what niche that you are

(24:28):
in, you'll be able to use it andadapt it.
And once you get in, obviouslyI'm going to show you how you
can change any ideas and you canturn it into your own, and this
is the superpower that I have.
Right, and obviously I'm notgoing to create something like
this if I'm not going toactually tell you how to use it.

(24:48):
So you have 365 days of idea.
Tell you how to use it.
So you have 365 days of contentidea that you're never going to
run into that writer's blockthat you've been experiencing.
Okay, so that's two bonusesalready that I included in the
profitable coach formula.
The last bonus is a 30-daydone-for-you social media post
template.

(25:09):
Now, a lot of my lady, mystudents in the program, they're
sitting there and they're justdrawing a blank.
It happens to even the best ofus Sometimes.
We just sit there and our brainis just not functioning.
Our brain just doesn't want towork.
Great, no problem, I have 30days of done for you social
media post template that you cansimply copy and paste and you

(25:31):
can use this basically for anyniche that you belong to.
Okay, so that's basically thewhat you are getting inside the
profitable coach formula.
You have basically all thefoundation, the building blocks
that you need in order to getyour marketing going in, in
order to get seen, get heard andget your clients start

(25:54):
attracting your clients.
And here's the thing A lot ofcoaches think that let me just
start by having my niche, havingmy I help statement.
I have an offer, let me juststart going out there and start
trying this out, and you'llnotice that the more that you're
out there, the less that youfeel confident about what you're
doing.
Why?
Because a lot of things thatyou're doing, there's no

(26:17):
strategies, there's no planning, there's no purpose or intention
and, of course, you're notgetting any clients.
If you're not getting anyclients, your confidence level
just dropped by half.
And so the longer that you wait, the less confident you are
about being a coach.
And so earlier I told you aboutthat story where the newbie

(26:39):
coach was crying on the Zoomcall.
Had she actually came to mefirst, we would have addressed a
lot of these problems for her.
And one of the key things thatthe profitable coach formula is
promising is that it makes yourdiscovery call so much easier
when you can demonstrate yourvalue ahead of time.
So by the time they jump ontoyour discovery call, your client

(27:00):
is already saying yes.
So your first client you didn'thave to wait until experiencing
multiple no's in order to getthat one.
Because what I'm teaching youinside is how do you take your
client, build that trust, buildthat no factor even before they

(27:21):
jump onto your discovery call.
That's what I'm teaching you.
So by the time they hop onto acall with you, they're pretty
much already saying, yes, it'sjust a confirmation step, it's
just something that's extra.
They need to hear from you, they need to look at you so that
they can actually know that, oh, I'm hiring a human being.
So the idea is, what I'mteaching you inside is going to

(27:43):
get you to the place where youdon't need to wait until they
get onto the call to prove yourvalues to them, and that's what
makes the Profitable CoachFormula not like others'
business programs or marketingprogram that's out there.
Okay.
So I'm really excited because Ican't stop talking about this,

(28:05):
because this is something thisis my baby that I had created,
and so it is open this week.
The profitable coach formula, the enrollment is open this week
, but because it's an onlineprogram, so I do need to close
it down and start theregistration and starting the
class, so I can't keep it verylong.
So if you want to get in, thisis a good time to get in and I

(28:29):
do have a bonus.
So by the time that you hearthis recording, I'm actually
offering you a bonus.
It's a client outreach scripttemplate.
Yep, it's a script template.
A lot of you out there areasking for this, because you're
coming to me and saying, michelle, I don't even know how
to begin.
I don't know how to start aconversation and somehow I just

(28:52):
tend to attract a lot ofintroverts, and one of the
things about introverts is thatwe're great for conversation
once we start going, but thatinitiation of conversation is
where we're struggling with, andso if you take action now,
within the next 48 hours, whenyou hear this podcast episode,

(29:13):
what you're going to get isyou're going to get this client
outreach script template that Ihave included inside the program
In addition to everything thatI have just mentioned.
This is a good starting point.
This template is a goodstarting point when you're
connecting with your potentialclients, and it is also my
script where I buildrelationship and sign clients

(29:34):
with confidence.
So you'll see once you get it,you'll see some of the places
that customize it and I pointyou to how to customize it and,
again, you can use it for anyniche that's out there.
Okay, so the profitable coachformula is really built around
the belief that I thinkmarketing is so essential for

(29:55):
the surviving and in order tobuild a sustainable coaching
business, and what really setsit apart is I use storytelling.
It's one of my superpowers thatI bring into my program to help
you to communicate your uniquevalue.
Again, you don't have to waituntil that discovery call in

(30:16):
order to prove your value.
A lot of what we talked aboutit can be done prior to that
discovery call.
So by the time your clientsjump onto the call, it's already
a yes without hesitation, andit also allows you to build with
your audience on that deeperemotional connection, because
you're incorporating thatstorytelling which no AI can

(30:39):
replace, right?
So enrollment to the ProfitableCoach Formula is open now, and
if you're serious about buildinga coaching business that truly
stands out, then this is yourchance.
All you have to do is just headover to
profitablecoachformulacom andyou'll be able to learn more and
secure your spot.
But don't forget, if you enrollthis week, or actually within

(31:01):
the next 48 hours, you're alsogetting that Facts Action Bonus,
the Client Outreach ScriptTemplate, so that you can reach
out to new prospects with moreease.
And just knowing more assurancethat, hey, I don't have to
start from scratch.
All right, thank you so muchfor tuning in to Make it Visible
