Nildeep Patel, Ametek Rotron

In this episode Harold King speaks with Nildeep Patel, Divisional Vice President at AMETEK Rotron. AMETEK Rotron provides highly reliable AC and brushless DC motors, fans, blowers, heat exchangers, fault detection devices, electronic power conversion devices, and a variety of subassemblies and systems for military and aerospace customers worldwide. Basically, if you need to remove heat from something – AMETEK Rotron can make it happen. Harold talks with Nildeep about AMETEK’s products and customers as well as their response to the COVID 19 pandemic. As a defense industry supplier AMETEK Rotron is an essential business and never ceased operations. They did immediately take precautions to protect its workforce going to multiple shifts, having office personnel work remotely and increasing cleaning and social distancing. As part of a global business they did have the advantage of learning some things from other plants around the world. While the pandemic and shutdowns have affected the company’s business Nildeep says that an expansion project at the facility in Woodstock continues and they continue to look for workers in skilled trades.
