Let's have a look at what'smaking news around the world
this week.
In mass Timber constructionland, sage, the software
organization they're going torelocate to the 619 Ponce Road,

showing that the use of massTimber for big corporates is a
desirable feature.
The building just recentlytopped out with a topping out
ceremony And it is impressive tosee that they will be entering
into the Ponce City Market in2024.
Sage will take 57,000 to 87,000square feet of the office space

planned in Jamestowns in thenewest development down there,
that's using mass Timberconstruction.
So congratulations to theexecutives at Sage for choosing
a renewable material for youroffice tower A great choice by
anyone's means in the massTimber construction sector.
And heading to British Columbianow, and the BC Institute for

Technology has a concertproperties center for trades and
technology And a four storybuilding is proposed.
7,670 square meter buildingwith mass Timber elements will
be announced by the end of thesummer period, which is the
summer period in the NorthernHemisphere, so probably heading

towards August.
The center is an anchor of $162million worth of trades and
technology complex.
The first build phase willinclude four new trade centers
impacting 20 trades in theBarnaby campus.
The center is expected to beginconstruction in 2025 and will

be completed in the last quarterof 2027.
There is an estimate that thesmaller complex of buildings
will start in the first quarterof 2024 and take about a year to
complete.
So a number of phases.

And heading to Australia now,the Royal Neal architecture has
designed a sustainablecommercial office building on
the fringes of the city ofBrisbane, which is in Queensland
, near the CBD, in a placecalled Newstead.
The four story building will bethe headquarters of the Asia
Pacific Internet DevelopmentTrust, accommodating about 80

staff.
The offices will be constructedusing cross limited timber with
layered facade of glazing andperforated metal screens that
provide an expression of thedepth from the outside world.
The building is designed to bea vision and sound and light
when required, inside thebuilding.

And heading to North London now,and a nine-floor mass timber
building has been designed byBennett's associates and just
recently been approved for thesite at number two copper square

The big timber office projectsite will sit next to the newly
opened Clermont Park andalongside two major new public

squares that will act as agateway for the rest of the
neighborhood.
Typical floors are a spacious18,350 square feet with views
over Clermont Park and beyondplaying fields to the Hampstead
Heath area.
