(00:24):
five-ish to launch and grow mybusiness.

productivity, habits andstrategies to help you take
control of your to-do list andmaximize your day, which will
help you feel more confident andless overwhelmed and getting

(00:55):
Welcome back to the Maximizeyour Day podcast.
I'm your host, Jessica Rosario, and, for those of you that
don't know me, I'm a certifiedexecutive coach and business
strategist who also owns a brickand mortar minority women
business enterprise here in theCentral Florida area with my
amazing husband, Alex, and soI'm thrilled to be back with you
guys, and I'm excited to diveinto our new season filled with
some fresh insights and newstrategies that will help you
(01:18):
take control of your day andachieve your goals.
Now, if you're new to theMaximize your Day podcast,
you'll start to understand thatmaximizing your day doesn't mean
doing more, and I think that'sa huge misconception, with a lot
of people that automaticallyassume that, oh, I'm very
productive or I had a veryproductive day, that that means
(01:40):
that you were able to do more.
The reality is that beingproductive and maximizing our
day is having an intentionalfocus on the things that are
important, but also making timefor the people that matter.
There are areas in our liveswhere, in order for us to pour
onto the people that we love, wehave to first take care of
(02:00):
ourselves, and in order to takecare of ourselves, we have to
focus on mindset.
We have to focus on self care.
We have to truly understandwhat our systems look like on a
day to day in order to help usbuild a business, advance our
careers or even raise a familyor grandchildren.
For those of us that are inthat season, I am so excited to
(02:23):
continue to be able to sharewith you guys and pour into your
lives on all kinds of practicaltips and actionable advice, not
just from myself, but also fromthe incredible entrepreneurs
that I get to interview so thatthey can share their knowledge
with you and their expertise, because the reality is that when
(02:43):
we hear other people's stories, there's something about their
story that helps us feel so muchmore empowered and
understanding that our goals aretruly achievable.
And so, before I give you guys alittle sneak peek on what's to
come in this new season, I wantto share with you guys a little
(03:04):
recap on what the last fewepisodes look like.
And in these previous episodeswe discussed a little on
operations, on how to develop agreat launch, how to set up your
branding, how to be a highperformer in a world where it's
so advanced and we're constantlyon the go, go, go.
(03:24):
But we also shared a little biton shaping your own destiny,
having deeper conversations notonly with others but within
ourselves, untapping the powerof our inner critic, setting our
growth mindset and our routinesand habits to help us be more
productive and be present.
(03:45):
We also talked a little bitabout self-inflicted wounds and
setting boundaries and what thatlooks and feels like.
But we also shared onstrategies of mindset and
mindfulness to help you trulytransform your life.
And so, as we continue to moveinto season three, you'll hear
the trends right.
We're here to masterproductivity, how to share
(04:08):
effective goal settingstrategies and how to set up
systems for success, and so inthe last few months, as I've
been coaching some of my clients, one of the things that
continues to come up is systemsand operations.
I just don't have the systemsin place in order to feel more
productive.
In this new season, we're goingto chat about productivity,
(04:29):
because enhancing productivityisn't just about doing more.
It's about doing what mattersmost efficiently.
Enhancing productivity for me,is focus time, being intentional
with my time, so that I cantake the time off when I need to
, so that I can separate fromthe business when I need to, so
(04:49):
that I can be present for thepeople that I love when I need
to, but also to be able toincorporate some self-care and
take care of myself.
We're also going to dive deeperinto goal setting.
For those of you that know, I'ma huge fan of the 12-week year,
so I'll be sharing with youguys some insight on effective
goal setting strategies to helpyou truly achieve your goals.
(05:11):
I'll explain some of themethods that are shared in this
book, but also I'll be sharing alittle bit about what has
worked for me and my clients aswe continue to set goals that
are achievable and in alignmentwith our vision.
Because if they're not inalignment with our vision, if
we're constantly developing thatpersonal scorecard and
(05:32):
monitoring our progressthroughout the week, but there's
something that's off, usuallyit's because there is some level
of misalignment between wherewe are and where we want to go.
And now we can't forget abouttime management.
You guys know that timeblocking is one of the most
effective time managementstrategies that I've always
(05:52):
recommended, and whether itworks for you or not, that's
okay.
The key is to identify one timemanagement strategy and
implement it and see how you canmake it work for yourself.
At the end of the day, it's notthe million strategies that are
available to help you with timemanagement.
It's truly the one that you use.
(06:13):
Someone once asked me what'sthe best time blocking planner,
and while I do own a timeblocking planner line called the
Own it Planner, I'm not here totell everyone that the Own it
Planner is the best planner forthem.
The best planner for them isthe one that they get to use
consistently, not the one thatthey buy because they're excited
about and then it sits on theshelf because it's too
(06:35):
complicated to use, and so I'llbe providing actionable advice
on how to help you structureyour day to maximize efficiency,
with time blocking.
Now, accountability is anothertopic that we'll be discussing
deeper in this season.
Why?
Because staying accountable toour goals is critical to our
(06:56):
progress.
Staying accountable to ourgoals and to others is also very
important.
Community is one of the mostimportant things when it comes
to achieving your goals.
Surrounding yourself withlike-minded individuals who want
to see you grow in progress.
I'll be sharing some practiceson how to set up an
(07:17):
accountability meeting with someof those like-minded
individuals, where you can meetevery week and hold each other
accountable, because that way,you not only have the
opportunity to be accountable toyourself, but you are also
accountable to others, and youcan also be a great
accountability partner forsomeone else who's lacking in
(07:38):
accountability.
And finally, we'll delve intosystems and operations, because
the truth is that havingefficient systems in place can
really help you streamline yourday.
It helps you streamline yourtasks, it helps you improve your
overall productivity, and I'llbe introducing you guys to some
new concepts, some new ways tobrainstorm and explain how you
(08:02):
can start implementing thesesimple yet effective strategies
into your daily routine.
So, again, whether you'rebuilding a business or growing
in your career or managingmultiple priorities as a mom, I
remember when my kids weregrowing up, I was a soccer mom,
I was running around, I wasactually a cheerleader mom.
I had my kids and everybodyelse's kids, and so having a
(08:24):
fundamental way to manage yourpriorities, no matter where you
are in life, will help you withyour daily routines and will
help you be, overall, moreproductive, and you'll be able
to feel that you're achievingsuccess based on what success
looks like for you.
(08:44):
And before we wrap up this sneakpeek, I want to give you guys
some actionable steps that youcan start to take right away
today to start building a strongfoundation.
Number one is identify your topthree priorities for this week.
What are they?
Why are they important?
What are those non-negotiablesthat you have to set for the
(09:06):
week in order to achieve success?
Number two set a specificmeasurable goal for each one of
these priorities.
Number three create a simpledaily schedule that includes
time blocks for focused work, because the reality is that if
we don't block our timeeffectively, we won't be able to
set the specific measurablegoals and we won't be able to
(09:29):
identify or even achieve thesetop three priorities that we set
for the week.
Number four establish a routinefor reviewing your progress at
the end of each day day.
So, if you monitor what you'vebeen able to achieve every
single day, you should be ableto go back to your plan and ask
(09:51):
yourself was I able to achievethis and, if not, why?
Identify what got in the way ofyou being able to achieve your
goals.
Lastly, number five identifyone new system that you can
implement today in order to helpyou streamline a repetitive
task that you have in your dayto day, whether it's on the
(10:11):
personal side, or your career,or your business.
There has to be this one thingthat you wish you could do in
order to help you streamlineyour life, and so I'd love to
