O tym, co sprawia, że prace Levaillant’a do dziś zachwycają żywymi odcieniami, wyrafinowaną formą i precyzyjną linią rysunku opowiada Krzysztof Radoszek,autor koncepcji i kurator wystawy „Rośliny i zwierzęta. Atlasy historii naturalnej w epoce Linneusza”.
