Baby Boomers (1946-1964)
Los Baby Boomers son ambiciosos y competitivos, quieren estabilidad y estatus, están orientados al trabajo en equipo, y son optimistas.
Se les llama de esta forma por el repunte en las tasas de natalidad posterior a la Segunda Guerra Mundial.
Características de esta generación:
- No temen correr riesgos para perseguir sus objetivos, gran dedicación en su trabajo para lograr el éxito en su estilo de vida. Muchos de ellos aún trabajan, pero están cerca de la jubilación.
- Su naturaleza para asumir retos y desafiar el status quo crea lugares de trabajo innovadores e inspira a los miembros más jóvenes de los equipos. Idealistas.
- El trabajo es lo más importante, valoran la productividad. Aprecian los símbolos de status y crecimiento vertical en las empresas.
- Las mujeres se incorporan definitivamente al mercado laboral. Cambio en el modelo tradicional de familia.
- Formalidad y entusiasmo en programas de mentoría y formación. Defienden la lealtad.
- Permanencia en las empresas: casi ocho años.
- Compromiso y el balance vida-trabajo: Buscan innovar y desarrollar una nueva solución, sin importarles invertir parte de su tiempo personal.
- Se les puede comprometer a través de reconocimientos por su larga trayectoria y experiencia, y generar nuevos retos (por ejemplo, con mentorías).
