Speaker 1 (00:00):
We allowed to because we're not FCC regulated, so we
(00:03):
could be in that game.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
I love it. It's that's why I'm glad you're here,
because it's a different perspective from you that's not in
the weed industry, and then you're here at a weed event,
so it's pretty cool. You guys had your two shows
going on. What two shows did you have going on today?
Or I know one's upcoming. Yeah, one just passed.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
We did Big D Energy. It's eleven to one o'clock
Monday through Friday with Darren McCarty, who is probably the
biggest cannabis connoisseur I've ever met in my life. That guy.
If you go back and watch the two hour show today,
I don't think he stopped smoking the entire two hour show.
It was fair and people just kept coming by and
giving him shit because he's Darren McCarty.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Like please try my stuff. Yeah, so that was it.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
I mean, it's Darren McCarty right, like this is his lane.
So you know, eleven to one and then at five
o'clock the heavyweights are going on. They're like sports and
entertainment is what we call them. Okay, okay, two of
our big fellows, and your shows are what two hours long?
A piece of yeah, two hour long. Then we clip
them up, put them on socials. All that good ship
and where can they follow? Where can everyone follow you?
(01:05):
At Woodward Sports? Everywhere? What Ward Sports? What were sports?
What Ward Sports? Tell your friends?
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Yeah, that's facts, that's facts. And we just barked up
some bangering. I brought one of the cups here today.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
And I've been dying to try this for like like
it's ever. It's before Ohio State has beat Michigan last.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
By the way, that's a long time to chat. Yeah there, Oh,
I gotta get Instagram switched over.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
True.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
So it's more of a lemon taste, a little pine saly,
definitely in the head. It is very fresh, like I said,
but just got trimmed a couple of days ago, so
still the flavor will be coming in.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
But sorry Instagram smooth, super smooth. So yeah, this is
the space. So there's one of the rooms going on
to that strain I got was vendors everywhere? Were the
pups here distracting all the ladies? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:58):
You got you got Woody over here in the corner.
Speaker 5 (02:00):
Every time someone sees them, they.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
Just stop we got such a magnet for people.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah, man, but this strain, so I got this uh
exotic genetics is the breeder I grow a lot of
his seeds and then so I bought this and I
pheno hunted this bangering cut. This is the bangering seed
that I liked out of all the pack that I had.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Okay, and what's banger ring?
Speaker 5 (02:21):
Like what's bonkers and rainbow chip?
Speaker 1 (02:24):
And what's the genetics of those boer? Right?
Speaker 2 (02:29):
And then bonkers is it has a lemon tree crossing
it And that's where you get.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
To we need a twenty three and meters for weed strains.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
That's actually it's actually a really good against.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Yeah, these are the people to fund it here today,
Like you.
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Do need that really because you'll be able to get
the lineage all the way back right, full profile of
the strain. It's there because there is a site called
Sea Fighter that you could see it. Imagine if you
could do that with the genetics right test it, know,
the flavors that would be phenomenal.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
I would love that. That's for the true weed heads,
Like if you care that much about the strain, like
you are special and you deserve something like that, right,
it's like you're like, you love your dog more than anything.
You want to find out the breed. They do that,
like a lot of people do that for dogs. So
you gotta love your weed to want to know all
the genetics of it.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
A Ka Canaday definitely would be interesting.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Hopefully we're getting out there.
Speaker 3 (03:24):
Stream has been a little bit tough, but I'm recording
this as a podcast just in case.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Oh yeah, we're out here.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
We are out here. It's been fun, man, it's been
a good day. Hopefully the rain holds off here. Yeah,
I'm glad it cooled down though.
Speaker 3 (03:39):
Both both entire spaces are completely filled with vendors.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Though it's absolutely insane. She I get a shot of
the dog right now, put on our Instagram and everything.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
Getting dog man.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
It's cool, like because he's a pit bull but he's small.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Give a shout out to uh Detroit Rescue. That's what
you gotta get, Detroit Dog Rescue.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yeah, so what he comes to us from the at L.
He's from Atlanta, He's been to Magic City. He loves
the chicken wing. Uh, that's why he goes. That's why
he gets host. But no Kathy Bissel like Bistol Vacuums
are a Michigan company. What they're based in Grand Rapids.
But she's like really passionate about saving animals. So they
do this huge round up in Atlanta. What he was
(04:23):
like one of the ones they round up, and they
brought him up here, flew them up here to Grand Rapids,
and since he's like half pit bull, they you know,
some places don't take them because he's a pit bull.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
I hate that because I have.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
A pit bull. Oh yeah, and description, the description is
gonna say resident rivals. Still, that's why it's.
Speaker 5 (04:40):
Okay, Well the podcast, you're good, just we're good.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Yeah. So then once he got the Grand Rapids, they
shipped them to Detroit Dog Rescue and we were doing
adopting dogs every Wednesday on Woodward Sports.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
I remember when they brought him in.
Speaker 1 (04:57):
I'm like, we're not adopting that dog. That's my dog.
Like I love this song.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
It was Love at First Night.
Speaker 1 (05:02):
Yeah, and I'll grab I'll put him on camera before
I leave it because he's just chilling right now. Yeah,
he is. He's had a long day. It's been hot
out here.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
But four thirteen right now, oh yeah, it is. It
is almost four twenty. So if you're in the check
gets your dabs ready, gets your joint ready, or your
edibles whatever, you're about to smoke, eat and join us.
What of dope? I see you in the comments. Hey,
I appreciate you coming out to resin Rivals. My dude,
I'm sorry we did not connect, but that weekend was insane.
(05:32):
So that was intense to begin Forests resin Rivals everything.
How you liking it?
Speaker 1 (05:38):
I love it. It's not bad man, Yeah, you're right.
It's not that like like Lemone type flavor to it.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
But it's smooth, lemony, smooth, little hit of pine sal
a little bit.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Of pine sal baby. That's why we tell him like
Lemons on pine saal baby. That's what reminds me. I
don't think that's a great way to sell it, like
just telling what I say. I love You're really you're
really targeting the huffing crowd out at you like that's
what I'm here, And that's such a that's just a
small target demo that hey you know what you know?
Speaker 2 (06:07):
You know, No, I'm just kidding.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yeah, you want to go with like a lemonade like, oh,
you know, it's got a lemonade taste.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
I'm sticking with my studet call a lemonade there, lemonade.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
It's like orange ruffy. You know, orange ruffy used to
be called like monk fish or something, but then they
rebranded it. Now people fucking pay orange ruff Really. Yeah,
it's a big nick. Look it up. It's one of
the greatest facts. That was good. How's just smoke could
check that out. This is Dave's award.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Winning bud which you can't Oh, you can't even see
the cup because oh yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Hold that up. Dave first place banger and caught back
to back years four.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Oh, hold on, I got a sample for that sub.
But that's so sweet. Yeah, that's so sweet. I got
twenty five one.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
I got it in the car, but I didn't want
to bring both of them with me. But it is
a proud moment. It's cool because I'm actually talking into
some fucking I'm talking to some brands about pop potentially
getting it in metrics, so like everyone listens. Yeah, I
think would be phenomenal.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
That dude that came by when we were eating, that's
what his company does, right, They placed brands inside, oh
brilliant different dispensaries.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
Yeah, we'll have to have to talk to him after
this then as well.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
Yeah, that's what's cool here. Like I thought this was
just gonna be like a bunch of like smokers. Well,
I thought it was gonna be like a car show,
Like you just came here and looked at it and
got free samples and left.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
But it's all industry people, dude, all industry. It's huge
for networking. So this is we've been doing these events
with Harry for the last couple of years. We started
back when Yeah, shout out to Harry bearsh for having
us out here, having my dude out here as well too.
They started at a small hot box social I don't
know if you're familiar with that venue. It was like
a consumption lounge. It was very small, and now he's
(07:49):
opened it up to the Linkoln factory. He sold out
both dooms. It's just it's just amazing to see what
he's accomplished here. True.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
Yeah, Like you got white Boy Rick walking around tall
going yeah, yeah. This is the one of the years
you can see on YouTube.
Speaker 3 (08:04):
I think you can see it on IG now, but
this is we can't really Eventually, I'm gonna go do
reporter style and walk around.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
And do the wireless thing.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
But right now we're doing we're starting out the podcast,
but yeah, we just we'll get you in the outdoor
space in the front room, but it's pretty popping, man.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
And then Drovy's gonna do the live walk through, which
you'll be sweet for everyone to see.
Speaker 5 (08:20):
He's only doing one event this year. He used to
do like to two of them in a year.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
This took a lot of planning.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Yes, yes it did. They did.
Speaker 1 (08:27):
Like like I said, I got here at nine am
and we were one of the first people here setting
up and then all of a sudden, just boom, eighty
seven thousand tables thrown up in chairs. All right, it's
it's a wild thing here. It's fun.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
It's pretty crazy because we were just talking about this early,
like how far cannabis has come, right like where it
was like we had a sketchy Oh you were actually
there when we talk about the diningback thing, right, just
picking up dimags and now look how open this is.
Like not one cop even stop byither like it's all
good because it is.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
It's just changed so much. Yeah, there was an inspector
that stopped by because they were like, hey, could you
keep your dog away? From the food area and the
inspectors here, I'm like, I got you, We'll take him outside.
But yeah, like this is life now.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
It is It's crazy to think that ten years ago
you would not think this.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
And there's still like the the audience in their forties,
I think maybe late thirties that still have the stigma
of it, like, oh yeah, someone smoking. Like I was
a dude. I went to the Post Malone it's called
uh jelly roll concert. He went huge, uh concert. But
I never felt more awkward smoking weed in my life.
(09:28):
Like I got shunned by the people. It may have
been the section I was side looks I got siloks. Yeah,
it was like I was just hitting the cart. Oh
I was blazing my blunt right in their face.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Yeah. My dude does not go anywhere without us gun.
Speaker 5 (09:42):
Everywhere you go, He's got a blunt, I'm telling you.
Speaker 1 (09:44):
But it was so awkward, Like I I had, honestly
a post Malone concert. You're gonna like shame me for
smoking weed.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
His demographics changed over the years, but still it's weed.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Though, I know in Detroit, but it's like.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
It was like a it was like a lot of
family vibes too. There Yeah, it was really strange, like
this one girl, like, dude, I'll never forget. She was
so pissed, like and I was hiding it in my
hand and nobody could see it, you know, and it
was just kind of slowly letting out smoking. She was
like fucking like this all overlooking for who it was.
Her friends are looking, and then of course they they
(10:22):
stereotype a couple of people sitting by us and they
start like blaming them, like are you guys? It was
so like, I don't know I was on video outside
of that, Yeah, the earth has changed, except for at
a post alone jelly Roll concert with Eminem and I
can't smoke weed.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Oh yeah, Eminem did come out for that.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
It was cool. That was nuts. That was sick. Bob
Seeker was supposed to come out.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
I heard, Oh really, yeah, I heard there was supposed
to be a second guest. But then I mean, Big
X the Plug came out and I was pretty stoked.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
Hey, I love Big X the Plug. Dude, that's my ship.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Let me check out.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
He's got some good songs.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Congrats, get a picture with me. He wouldn't no ghostbusters.
What's up in the chat? Did you hear that? The
x win it. I tried to, but his security guard
stop my ass. Yeah, but let's just he was walking
by me and I was like, hey, man, let's snack
a pick. He was like, oh no, no, he's not doing pick.
So I'm like, like, I don't even know who you are. Honestly,
if you're listening, I love it.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
But still, come on, you got to shout out to
the people that watch your ship man or listening to
your stuff. You gotta show love. That's that's what he's like. No,
I'm good. Hey, I do you not know who I am?
Speaker 1 (11:33):
Ghostbusters?
Speaker 2 (11:34):
What's good?
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Brother? It's pretty sweet man. Event's pretty packed.
Speaker 3 (11:37):
I mean, for the most part, a lot of brands,
even some new brands. So I'm enjoying it so fit.
It's hot as all hell.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
Right now, what's up?
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Janna d K.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
That's up? Oh cool? All right, there we go.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
You go for it, all right, go for it? Want
totally cool.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
Yeah, you've really got to reb brand that. No more,
no more pines all no more. That's me. That's not braining.
That's just that's what I feel. It's descriptive. What's I
agree with.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
You on that? I don't know the descriptive of the banger.
Speaker 5 (12:10):
It does take away from.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
The names my weed. It tastes like a rat poison
what's up blocks? What's up blocks? Twice? You die? Right,
a little ratty poisoning.
Speaker 2 (12:22):
A little bit ship.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
It's all good, bro. This was Look they're commenting earlier
about just like the different types of weed people there are,
which is which is really cool to see? Right, Like
you got you got your corporate weed guys over there
with like their aviators and their polos, and they look
real nice and like fit like they honestly they look
like they're from the Air Force. And then you got
(12:46):
like your Satanist guys over here, the voodoo ones selling
in people. You got the trappers, Yeah, you got the
trap You got just the hot chicks for no reason
standing around sick commentating. We're just you're to host Stick today.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
So dude, that's why I love. I was like, Stick,
you gotta come on.
Speaker 1 (13:03):
He's like where he's about fans.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
E see, there is a whole room where they're doing
like the speeches stuff that is ac where all the
food is so people can chill relax.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
It's chill room, but all the business.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Yeah, just fans there's fans, but you know, ninety degrees
and fans is still still warm.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
No toasting, Yeah it is.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
It is toasty vibe.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
I mean there's brands that I haven't even heard of,
So I think that's the one thing I always think
about Meat Connect Puffet. Is you ever trying to find
new brands or you're dispo looking for new stuff out there?
This that's why these B two BT events are out
here and the exists because it's hard to get recognized
as a new brand, and this is they put you
right in.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
It's a tough market. Yes, there are lots of samples
and lots of lots of samples, lots of gifting of products.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
I have got it. Brands exquize for the hell.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Dude, it's very like the price now is insanely low
compared to like it's up anything before.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
It's very is so wild to see, like, you know,
because we've been talking about weed for a long time,
and I've been spoken for a long time, you know,
before they were dispensaries and you know, like but to
think like there's gonna be oh my god, you know,
the pine reggies when they finally came in and they
(14:19):
look green, instead of the yeah, the light greens, you know,
the gans. We got some gans baby.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
Like the drow days when dro that was it.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Man Like you would try your hardest to get the
best weed and you never great Back in the day.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
No, dude, you'd have to get like packs.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
Oh nice, you're about to spark up a bubble hash joint.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
But now, I mean I'd put Michigan weed up there
with anybody, like It's it's not even debatable.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
What do you think.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
I think, well, I think to it, you know, I
mean hold his own compared to the rest.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
I mean, California is great, but I think we're definitely
comparable in every single category.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Now I stand I stand by. I think we do
have some of the best stuff around, from from caregiver to.
Speaker 5 (15:03):
Metric, from flour to rosin. I think our shit's just
top notch.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
I truly.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
I think it's because we're in that sweet spot right,
Like California and Colorado are just corporate as shit. Like
if you don't have a billion dollars, you're not gonna
have a brand out there. Essentially, Yeah, like it's we're
still with the startups, but also some corporate money. So
the product's great. But everybody's still like grassroots trying to.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
Hoof it out, yep. And that's why I think. You see,
here's a lot of these are some smaller A lot
of these are some smaller brands that are building up
to try to take more market share from the big
corporate brands that don't produce is good a product. There's
a lot of brands out there that are smaller that
produce some of the best product in the market. You know. Yeah,
they're here based here in Michigan. We got comment number
one in the nation saturated market in high competition, I'd
(15:48):
agree number one the nation for sure. And it is
there are a lot of brands, a lot of brand's
trying to stand out. It's tough, it is, yea.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Even looking at you know, because we do promo work
and stuff like that's part of what we do. Even
looking at everybody's displays and now they're trying to brand
and like the way they're going about it. It's it's
really interesting, honestly to see the race to the top
because at the end of the day, there's only gonna
be like four brands. I mean, that's just how it's
gonna go.
Speaker 2 (16:13):
Now, it's gonna be like, it's gonna be like you're
the yeah that or your liquor your beer companies when
you got a couple of major ones.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Yeah, which I'm okay. I mean it is what it is,
and there's good gonna be just smaller distilleries and exactly.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
That's you're still gonna have those. You're gonna have those
brands that are producing that quality content, that quality content,
quality product.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Oh god, everything. Cameraman's been working his ass off all day. Yeah,
he's out here.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Yeah, he is out there. He's always out there.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Everywhere, literally everywhere I look, that guy is there.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
Yeah, that's that's good. That means he's doing That means
he's doing his job.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
We need the after party to be on a weekend. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:54):
I think they roll it over so you can use
the space, use the venue as a fun little thing.
So if no one else does know, if you're watching
this chat and you're bored, you want to head to Detroit.
There's a free after party from nine till two am
today at the Lincoln Factory.
Speaker 1 (17:06):
It is a fun spot. I don't know if they're
gonna continue d dang.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
If they're bringing other people, it looks like there's a
stage outside they're not utilizing, wondering if that's where the
party is gonna be.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Bring your sex. Should have hit me up for some sacks. No,
I didn't, but they didn't hit me up. Why don't
you travel with that thing?
Speaker 2 (17:22):
Damn facts, that's facts. That's a vallida because because I'm.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Yeah, god, damn, I mean, I guess you're right.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
Doesn't sharing travel without a guitar? No, that's a good point.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Honestly, if it ever pulls out to my advantage, I'm
gonna remember you for this moment.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Yeah, honestly, he's not wrong. You should because we've been
talking about now I.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Should keep one. Oh yeah, like at any time anywhere.
That's what everyone says.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
This is what we tell Everyone always tells me what
they would do if they wait, excond go learn.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
I always tell people it's you can do it. No,
I rather tell you what to do. That's much easier.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
It's agreed.
Speaker 3 (18:11):
What times Woodwards Sports next Streme tap in five o'clock.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Five o'clock.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
So basically, after when we're done here, you guys go
over and search Woobard Sports check them out.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
Yeah, you guys gotta pop on talk to the heavies
for a bit.
Speaker 2 (18:24):
Yeah, we I would love to.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Yeah, we're the lights. We're the littles.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
So we're the littles.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
Were the lightweights when I got so high earlier, I
had to go to my car and like sitting there
conditioning for like thirty minutes. It's a little warm.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
I feel you, dude. It's it's with all the smoking
and how hot and humid it is.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
Me a little bit of a breather guy could be
busting in on the street. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
I do want to do some Lives Improud videos coming
up here soon, so we'll stay tune.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
We got a lot of things.
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Pop it off, thank you, free we thank you. What's
what's the brand name?
Speaker 6 (19:04):
Morehouse, bubble hash Diamond and fuse Flower. Nothing but the
best in my stuff blueberry Skittles. Yes, sir, that's my
favorite one is that?
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Yes? This is uh not Rosin's bubble.
Speaker 6 (19:15):
Hash bubble hash I am. I don't really seeing anybody
bring quality and fuse flower. I'm seeing a lot of
people get garbage product and cover it up with th
A C A and throw cheap turts on it. I've
been infusing flower now for like three years, started with
a couple of the original brands in the state, Fuego Extracts,
I Want Champagne Infuse two years ago and they decided
(19:38):
to partner up with some new guys and put out
a better product. Is the tastiest infused flower I've smoked yet.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
It gives you this confidence. Man, you sound like like
you sound like a prize fighter before a fight. And
I've seen that a lot around here. Even when the
guys were on the panel talking, you know, it was like,
you know, we give more to charity than I think
anybody else does. But you're coming at you with our
products better because of this what puts you guys over
the top? I start out with really good flower.
Speaker 7 (20:04):
First of all, I've partnered with a grow that is
only working with me on this, somebody I've been supporting
now selling their product in the market for four years.
Got a really great relationship with these guys, help them
find better genetics, and uh, they've committed to supply me
with their weed for all this Moorehouse products. And I'm
working with some bubble hash from these guys made at
(20:24):
x Hill, top quality bubble hash.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
All right, that's about it, all right, it's so good.
Weedy go man, Well, thank you, thank you, Garrett, nice
to meet you.
Speaker 2 (20:35):
Thank you, David, appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
Here you go check them out. It's kind of just
what happens when you chow at this event.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
And got three rolls.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
Will be the judge of that.
Speaker 3 (20:46):
Add thanks for bringing the viewers the events that can't
make it. You know, you know that the ticket can
be a little bit you know, they they it's I
know it's a little bit high compared to your normal event.
That's why it's business and business they I think they
do the higher ticket price just to kind of make
it more of like a hey, this is a business
(21:07):
event rather than just like you know, cannabis crowns.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
So it is neat. I love it.
Speaker 3 (21:14):
I love that you really get and it keeps you
to the major players too. You talk to a lot
of players out there. You can Pet Woody what he's
what he's available to.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Pet don't know. I don't know if they can hear
can you hear us? You can hear us? Oh, I
don't know. If it's loud enough, can you hear us
the speakers? Do youre us? Do you hear us speakers?
She's saying no. That means like she she doesn't even
if she's saying she doesn't even understand what you're asking, it.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
Means it means, uh, I could break you over a speaker.
It was.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
But dude, this ship looks crazy. It's honestly looks like
when you screw up and it gets moldy.
Speaker 5 (21:54):
I know, and you know, I'm not a huge fan
of that because it's kind of it has.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
It smells too blueberry to me when I've broke it
up in my fingers.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
I don't know. Blueberry is one of my all time favorites.
Speaker 3 (22:03):
So like, gotcha, we have them also distributing.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
Some people can see us last year.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
You don't have to keep someone roll up and daring.
Speaker 3 (22:13):
His name's Woodward, Yeah we call it yeah, yeah, yeah,
he is Woodward Sportsports.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Yeah we got him from Woodward Sports. We adopted him
with Detroit Dog Rescue.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
Shout Out d d R shout out things. Shout out
to all the partners that make this happen.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
It's cool to hear like woodwork from Woodward Sports instead
of like Woodward like the Street of course, playing the brand, bro.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
Your brand's becoming more recognizable throughout the old Metro Detroit
and Michigan.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
Dude, what you guys? What's up?
Speaker 4 (22:46):
Everyone?
Speaker 2 (22:46):
On I do you want to give a shout to
the Redemption Foundation, who here has been donating to for
this event. We had Ryan on the podcast back in December,
and I love what he does for the Commisary funds
for people in jail for cannabis. He gives them money
into their account and they're able to use it while
they're in prison. So again, uh, the Redemption Foundation is
(23:09):
who Carry is partnering with on this event, and I
think that was very cool.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Soon, yeah, very cool. He's the best. This dog is.
This dog gets all the attention. He's a lady. We
just have Woody THEO podcast.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
I know you should. You should make a Woody of
his own, like.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
He's got an Instagram at Woodward the Pup. Yeah, at
Woodward the Pub. I gotta get better at putting up
on it. I'll get better. I don't think I've posted
a couple of months. But but yeah, he no what
like I've been lazy. I was gonna get him like
a vest with a QR code. So everybody wants to
know what he is. He's a corky and a pit bull,
(23:50):
so he's a lifetime that they call him a pocket
pit and he just hangs out wood He come here,
I need a camera.
Speaker 2 (23:59):
Just Woody, I know, just wit witty too funny. Oh yeah,
that's cool man.
Speaker 3 (24:08):
Man. It's really just a lot of dabs, a lot
of stuff, a lot of connection networking. You know a
lot of you know, C suite people connecting a lot
of sales people. Just if you know, if you're a
new brand, it's good because you get in front of
the exposure dispensaries. A lot of times, dispavery dispo operation
managers are just walking around. We see multiple dispos around,
so it's kind of what it is. You know, you
get your brand here and dispos come here, and the
(24:30):
dispos come check out your brand.
Speaker 1 (24:32):
Hope you get some sales.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Yep, yep, yep. Yeah, yeah, I'm pretty it's pretty gold.
We've been pretty busy throughout We've been networking, talking to
a lot of brands. Pretty cool.
Speaker 5 (24:41):
We got a question, what uh is the mix.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
Of Woody again, he's a corky and a pit bull.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
So here there you go.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
I'll hold them up and.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Put them on.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
People want to know. People want to know that. We
got to put People want to see Woody. Woody, he's a.
Speaker 1 (24:58):
But he needed.
Speaker 3 (25:03):
Honestly, I bet you be. You just keep Woody in
the chat, we'll probably get way more people following.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
All of a sudden, it's like, wow, we got like
hundreds of people viewing. He is an ambassador.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
Yeah what what he approves of my candicants? I appreciate that, Weddy.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
Yeah, we got this. Oh yeah, since day one he
was a fan. So when I adopted him, and this
will be funny to you and me, Dave, but nobody else.
When I adopted him, his name was Adam, Like I
can't name him Adam?
Speaker 5 (25:32):
Yeah, no, that is hilarious.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
Huge Groovey would get that a little bit too.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
You know, I get it. It's not Adam.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
If you're watching, it's I could try to walk around you.
Are you sticking around stick? And that sounds no? I
probably I got a head to our booth probably in
like five minutes. Okay, then we'll chill private minutes after that.
Then I'll go to the walk around. Oh that's Brady
right there, we go. We got more more Brady from
Woodwards Sports camera. There is is the walk right off
the camera. So you're gonna do some walk around content.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
We're gonna try.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
Groovy in the field. Candiday behind scene.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
Was pretty awful.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
I'm just kidd so yeah, it's pretty sure the pup
look at this. This dude's getting We can't get followers,
but Sports gets.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
I know, I know, we've got a QR for people
to follow us to. I know, I know what up?
Who check out Our recent episode that dropped yesterday was resur.
Speaker 5 (26:29):
Rivals Day one. You can check that out.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
It's on YouTube and also Spotify.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
I shall do a who a Dad while we're.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Here, all right, you do a whoa Dad. Groovy's gonna
be jumping in the field here soon. It's been awesome
that you came out. Stick.
Speaker 5 (26:41):
We're actually gonna get.
Speaker 3 (26:42):
Right after our stream at five o'clock, Woodward Sports is
doing a stream.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
And then also we're gonna be bringing Stick on the
Wake and Bake in the future, so Stacey, stay tuned.
Be in a couple of months will be having him on.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
So wake up. Yeah, what do you guys have against that?
Tried to tell me I was gonna outgrow it, and
I was like, what. First of all, you know, you
don't know how old I am. Second, of all, we've
been at this a while.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
Told me about that about Dubstaff for the past fifteen years,
and I'm like, well, I'm still waiting, so I don't know.
Speaker 1 (27:12):
I still love it. Yeah. She's like, well I outgrew it.
And I'm like, well, that's not how life works. Because
you threw something doesn't mean I'm going to.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
Preach, preach, seriously preached.
Speaker 1 (27:22):
I'm sorry you outgrew blunts. I feel bad for you. Right,
what does that even mean? How do you outgrow blunts?
Speaker 8 (27:29):
Like?
Speaker 1 (27:29):
How do you outgrow it? Right? What does that even mean?
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Just say she gave up on them, you know, giving up?
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Right?
Speaker 4 (27:35):
Twitter was.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
Dare she?
Speaker 5 (27:40):
How dare you give up?
Speaker 2 (27:43):
You still using the buns? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Oh yeah, I wrapped wrapped out. Yeah. The rap, I mean,
the rap phenomenon is crazy to me because I was
only Swisher suite, like five in a pack boxes, let
them snap them, roll them up like that's all. I oh,
blunt wise for a long long time. But that didn't
like two thousand and four, like random raps started coming out,
(28:07):
and they were they'd always go stale as ship because
I didn't figure out the packaging early. But raps really evolved,
and I think it's great that I could just buy
my four Rillow wraps for ninety nine cents.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
And that's how much come in the package.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Yep, that's not bad. That's like pretty cheap. That's great
for me.
Speaker 2 (28:25):
That is fucking Rillow wraps.
Speaker 3 (28:27):
Hey, Spenser, the how you guys doing the whole gang
out at five Woodwards sports.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
Pin for the computer, we'll get out, we'll meet up.
Does it meet that microphone? Yeah? Oh, they're really gonna
break into our computer and open v mix. Hey, Darren McCarty,
Ladies and gentlemen, Darren McCarty's.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
Here's walking over it's the legend over there, the legend.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
Check out what Sports. When's their podcast?
Speaker 5 (28:56):
That already happened, that was very what we were here.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Is it weekly though?
Speaker 5 (28:59):
Daily?
Speaker 1 (29:01):
What eleven to one?
Speaker 2 (29:04):
Eleven to one? That's daily?
Speaker 1 (29:05):
Right? Yeah, well Monday through Friday.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
Monday through Friday.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Darren's usually on Tuesday through Thursday. He calls every Monday,
so like, that's what's up.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Yeah, that's what's it's good man, Dave McCarty, it's up
eleven to one every day.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
Check out their podcast.
Speaker 3 (29:28):
I'm sure McCarty, he's uh goddamn good at hockey.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Beat out of claud I mean, going of our greatest
memories as a youth.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
And what what a thing to be known for, right
like the metal just one infamous moment and then hitting
the you know, hit the overtime game winner in game
seven after he beat the ship out of them. Yep,
it's pretty pretty good story.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
Arc. Yeah, yeah, they should do. Yeah that that was good.
Speaker 5 (30:04):
But I'm excited for Groovy to go out on the
field here in a minute.
Speaker 2 (30:07):
It's been at.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Over to what we'd sports.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
We're almost We're gonna do a little bit of reporting
and then get out of here as well.
Speaker 2 (30:15):
Thank you, brother.
Speaker 1 (30:19):
Yeah, we're gonna come over after Jammy nice.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Yeah, the event, it's a lot of networking hanging in between,
getting high on between.
Speaker 1 (30:32):
All right, all right, I'm gonna try to get this going.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
So yeah sweet but yeah, uh, pretty cool set up
over here. We got uh pretty pumped that we got
our uh. We got a playback monitor over here, so
if you are at the at the event, you're able
to actually see us on the opposite side with the recording,
which I think is pretty neat. Uh, Groovy set that
up for us today.
Speaker 5 (30:54):
We're gonna be releasing this as a podcast as well.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
Don't hear you? That got you? No, turn me down?
And then you're also we're also going to be releasing
Day two Resident Rivals that will be next week, so
you'll find the winners we saw the award ceremony, and
then we'll eventually be releasing this again some upcoming guests
(31:20):

seeing myself.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
Check check I'm not here.
Speaker 1 (31:31):
No, oh I got it. Check check. Can you hear
me now?
Speaker 3 (31:34):
Well, they can hear me, so that's all that matters.
Oh well, I thinks we're not going to have it
set up.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
Oh well, I don't know if we can do this.
You just have to. You just have to tell him.
You'll have to just give him the voice off. I'll
just explained I will be able to talk. Unfortunately, I
don't understand why it's not working.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
I don't know it worked yesterday. That's tech, baby, that's tech.
Sometimes it happens. Sometimes shit happens. Chick chick. And also
they have here at the event. They've been doing different seminars,
are not seminars, but they've been having people uh tech
talking in the inside there where they have Redemption. Ryan
(32:16):
was they speaking, Harry spoke, and they have some other
talks going on as well to check check. Can you
hear me now, I hear you, Yeah, I hear you. Perfect.
Speaker 1 (32:24):
That's why we don't. That's why we chill.
Speaker 4 (32:26):
It's right.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Groovy is the man because he is the tech guy.
My dude always killing it. But cool, all right, yeah, sorry.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
Man, he's just watching me doing absolutely yeah, sound good. No,
it's it's a hot event out here. I will say.
Speaker 2 (32:48):
It has been hot. We've been out here all day
since about eleven o'clock setting up. Like we said, the
event goes eight o'clock and then there's an afters that
starts at nine or I believe it starts at eight
right away after as well too, and then once that begins,
that's free to anybody. I don't know exactly if it's
gonna be in different areas, but that'll be going on.
Come in, come in down, come down. If you're in
(33:09):
the industry. There's tons of tons of brands of people
out there. Perfect, perfect, all right, so you'll see on
the last game we.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
Got switched this way. Well, oh well.
Speaker 2 (33:22):
We got Groovy going through. You're gonna be seeing You're
gonna be seeing everyry. Yeah, yeah, I got you, got
you all right. So Groover's gonna be going around. He's
gonna be showing everybody with the event. Yeah, he's gonna
show you what's going on with the event. So, got
a couple of brands over there. You got Voodoo, you got.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
God damn cow Girl. Hey, save it up to the listeners.
How do you check her out?
Speaker 2 (33:49):
Yeah? Went out there, go see bro doing pretty good.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
Yeah, it's just pretty crazy, man. Yeah, how's it going, Dave.
Speaker 2 (33:58):
No, it's going pretty good. I was actually into Derek.
Remember we had Derek on our podcast back a while
ago with he's back in Michigan. Now he was worth
a different company. Now he's back in Michigan. So just
say it went up to him. I was at Society,
sees you get your dad.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
I will have to do it a little bit. You know,
Matt's not there. The brands here, I mean, there's gotta
be at least a hundred brands here.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
Honestly, brands I've seen before, Like you know, definitely seen
the labs around before. Some brands I've never seen before.
I have seen Bougie like once, but not much.
Speaker 2 (34:31):
Take him outside because outside are all there's a little
it's where like it's very compact outside, a little bit
more space.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
If you go to the cameras tab, you can make
me full screen too.
Speaker 3 (34:43):
So yeah, we're gonna walk around out here. So now
you're outside. This place is super epic. You got brands
out here.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
For days too.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (34:54):
Looks good. We kind of yeah, damn, we're losing you.
We're losing a little bit on the signal.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Yeah, yeah, we're outside.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Yeah, I appreciate it. I don't know what Anthony said,
but that's what's up. So I'll just narrate pretty much
for Groove. He's at right now. He's at an outside
area where you see everybody. Hey, what up? Easy? How
you doing? We're gonna stop out here show at five.
That's easy with that way it has wood were sports.
(35:33):
They're doing their live show here in a little bit
as well too. But yeah, you got groovy walking around outside.
You've seen seeing all the different brands. There's two different lanes.
I don't know if he's gonna go to both sides,
but he's checking it out and there's just constant flow
of people coming in throughout throughout the building and our
area over here, which is pretty good to see. But yeah,
(35:54):
good event, good event. These are all different, like we
were just at resid rival and now we're over here
at me Can I puff a little bit?
Speaker 1 (36:02):
Different?
Speaker 2 (36:02):
Reservals of competition? You know, you had a competition from
all over people putting in their razin David co. Girl,
how's it going on? Hey with live? Do you want
to jump on.
Speaker 4 (36:20):
Alright?
Speaker 2 (36:22):
I think I can get you. Yeah, you could use
that mic real quick. You can put on here. Give
you Groovy's headphones so you should be able to hear me. Yeah,
and we got groovy. So you got damn cow girl
(36:43):
over here and you got groovy walking around for the event. Hey,
I hear you? Well, do you do you hear?
Speaker 1 (36:50):
Do you turn up? Turn up for Mike number right,
number one?
Speaker 2 (36:55):
Talk again?
Speaker 4 (36:56):
Hello?
Speaker 2 (36:57):
Perfect, perfect, perfect?
Speaker 8 (37:00):
So we got a podcast, girl, Hi, I love to
be on the podcast.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
Thank you so much for having me.
Speaker 2 (37:05):
Yeah, so tell us what you're doing here and uh yeah,
give us a little I'm.
Speaker 8 (37:10):
Piscon so I'm just here like in Michigan for the
next couple of months with the Flower Xcel we have
shows and late August and Aligan on the twenty seventh
and twenty eighth, and then in Chicago on September I
think twenty third and twenty fourth.
Speaker 5 (37:29):
When's the Michigan one.
Speaker 4 (37:30):
The Michigan one.
Speaker 8 (37:31):
Is on August twenty seventh and twenty eighth, so that's
Wednesday Thursday. It's in late August. It's actually right after
my thirtieth birthday.
Speaker 2 (37:41):
Oh nice, So as a birthday.
Speaker 8 (37:44):
Present to me, you should come to the show if
you work in the cannabis industry, especially if you work
cannabis retail, because this show is for you. That's why
everybody who works cannabis retail gets a free ticket. Yeah,
and I'm going to make sure that you guys get
media passes because you guys are one of my favorite
media outlets here. I love to learn stuff from you guys.
(38:05):
Keep me educated, keep me knowledgeable.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
We appreciate that so much. We'll be looking forward to it.
And there's so many different events and that's how we
love being able to stream at these. Joe, check out
your event, go with Flower Expo, you know, and then
we were just at rest rivals. Groovey's walking around, he's
been inception. Oh my god, that's wild. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
I'm gonna take I'm gonna we have one last room though,
where they're doing all the speeches and stuff.
Speaker 1 (38:32):
So I'm gonna take you out there.
Speaker 5 (38:33):
Yep, yep, let them go there.
Speaker 2 (38:36):
Yeah. So what's going on? How you like in the event.
Speaker 4 (38:39):
I'm loving it. I think this is really great.
Speaker 8 (38:41):
I'm just like loving the vibe of the people that
are here, Like, I really love the Midwest. All of
the brands are like super excited to show off their
new products, especially which is always great to see, you know,
so many new.
Speaker 4 (38:54):
Products coming out.
Speaker 8 (38:55):
Like when people in Massachusetts talk about the Michigan market,
they're so afraid because of the prices out here, and
I'm like, really, like when you come to these events,
like people are excited and they're hopeful and they're not like,
you know, they're not scared, Like you shouldn't be scared.
I'm like, it's okay, Like we're gonna do great.
Speaker 2 (39:15):
Like that was the product from Massachusetts and Michigan. Because
we were talking earlier, I had we had our buddies
stick on and we have your tomments talking about Michigan
being one the number one in the nation for buds
and concentrates and stuff. I like, yeah, I think it's
we are top tier. I'm curious how masses.
Speaker 8 (39:33):
Well, I will tell you that I brought nothing with
me from New England as far as Davs go. I
brought like the bare minimum that I would need to
get me to a dispensory. Like I was actually like
folding paper crans well, I was listening. Oh, I was
(39:55):
folding paper cranes while I was like listening to a
talk on mushrooms before I left, uh, Massachusetts. And it
was a receipt from a Michigan dispensary first and Roz
and I had bought back in like January or March
or something. And I was like, oh, I like, can't
shop here for the next week.
Speaker 4 (40:13):
Before I leave.
Speaker 2 (40:18):
Shop and wait.
Speaker 8 (40:19):
I was like, I gotta just wait until I get
back to Michigan.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
It would be wrong.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
Yeah, we have we have we have very very reasonable prices.
You know, there's cheap middle grade and they have a
little bit higher.
Speaker 8 (40:31):
It's like, you guys are so for the high quality stuff.
You guys are so sorry. I'm distracted. There's an alligator.
Oh yeah, there is a I uh, I got a
video of the go.
Speaker 2 (40:46):
Go Go Go go.
Speaker 8 (40:47):
Yeah, and then can you tell me what we're talking about?
Speaker 4 (40:50):
That's oh my god. And there's a oh my god, Allian.
Speaker 2 (40:59):
Dumb ship baby a little alligator.
Speaker 4 (41:02):
Very I didn't know you could do that.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
WELLA said, wow, I don't get Dave's phone. I'm out.
Speaker 8 (41:10):
I okay, And an alligator and there's an actual alligator, like,
there's a baby alligator.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
Alligator right there.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Well, shit, that was groovy doing the tour of the facility,
which was pretty sweet.
Speaker 5 (41:39):
I appreciate you doing that.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
Groovy. That was a nice, uh nice tour of everything
going on here. You got tons of the brands over there. Yep,
did you hear me.
Speaker 1 (41:49):
A little bit? But yeah, I got you all right?
Yeah that was cool man. There's a lot of brands here.
I've heard of a lot of brands that I haven't
heard of. What about you? Have you heard of all
the brands here?
Speaker 8 (41:59):
Me?
Speaker 1 (41:59):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 8 (42:00):
I'm learning about new stuff, like for sure, like half
of these I haven't heard of because I feel like
I just got here, even though I was like around
last year for a little bit. It was realistically, I
was around for like a couple of weeks total, you know,
like and this year I'm spending like months out here
and it's gonna be months in a row. So I
think I'm gonna have a much different understanding of the
(42:22):
brands and the market out here.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
Then I came in with just like, from.
Speaker 1 (42:26):
This event alone, you're gonna be them.
Speaker 4 (42:29):
Yeah, I'm right, all right.
Speaker 8 (42:31):
Let me try and take this all in, like I'm
trying to take pictures and videos of everything.
Speaker 3 (42:35):
Which we know you do well, really really well. If
you haven't checked out our stuff, check out dev cow Girl.
I don't know if this is gonna be readisbuted podcast.
We're going live now, yep, whatever, It'll be on the
audio form next week.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
So yes, it will be, Yes, it will be. This
has been fun, man. I'm glad you're able to go
around and see everybody look pretty packed out there.
Speaker 5 (42:52):
It looked it looked pretty busy out there in that
area over there.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
It's spread out this time, which I enjoy a little bit,
so it's not all jammed in like Wonder.
Speaker 2 (42:58):
Room it is. It is a little I.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
Mean and utilized the outdoor so it's just this one
in the endoor space, so everyone was in here pretty much. Yeah,
so that they really utilize that outdoors.
Speaker 8 (43:08):
I think it's so nice to like have space to
have conversations like that expon where you feel like shoved
shoved together.
Speaker 4 (43:14):
It's a lot harder because people.
Speaker 8 (43:16):
Are always pushing back, has to it's harder to have
like a serious conversation. But I feel like you get
a lot more business done when you have like that
in between space in between people and their conversations, right.
Speaker 3 (43:29):
I mean that's the issue sometimes when you have these events,
sometimes they're parties, which is again, it's fun, it's fun,
but how are you gonna get business done?
Speaker 1 (43:35):
How you're going to close deals when you're like what, okay,
that's great.
Speaker 8 (43:39):
Yeah, I'm loving the five or two. Loving the lack
of like loud music in here right now?
Speaker 4 (43:45):
So great.
Speaker 1 (43:46):
Yeah, which actually that's a good point. I don't know why.
Speaker 4 (43:48):
Yeah, what's going on there?
Speaker 1 (43:49):
Man, it's going on silk.
Speaker 2 (43:50):
You know, he told me he would do lighter music
when we were playing.
Speaker 4 (43:54):
I think he's doing this for you, my man.
Speaker 1 (43:57):
I appreciate.
Speaker 8 (43:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (43:58):
I think this is like a you know, dedicated to groove.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
Yeah, he said, this goes out to groovy music.
Speaker 1 (44:05):
Because we are going live. But he's he's chilling. It's
been you know, it's it's a long, hot day.
Speaker 3 (44:09):
But it's like I said, I've seen so many people
flowing in out of this event.
Speaker 1 (44:13):
So there's gotta been hundreds people here throughout the day.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
Oh, I do want to make a quick announcement real quick.
If you're here still in the chat. Uh, Saturday, it
doesn't matter. I'm like, we're live. It doesn't like Saturday,
say Saturday, we're not going live. We're going live Sunday.
But it doesn't really matter because this is I don't
know where I'm getting at all, right, boys, just it.
That's what happens sometimes here when you're gifted all this
ship this point dude, we did. We tried gum. We
(44:36):
tried some five milligram gum, which was pretty good. Oh
that's so fun.
Speaker 4 (44:38):
What flavor was it was a.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
Point mint there. That's something I've never seen before in
my life.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
And it was so weird because it broke down to
where you thought you were about to chew it and
then it started sticking together.
Speaker 2 (44:50):
Exactly.
Speaker 5 (44:51):
They had twenty milligrams too, but with the five we
start five. We got streams.
Speaker 8 (44:56):
So if you do twenty milligram ones at these events,
it adds up really.
Speaker 1 (44:59):
If you tried.
Speaker 3 (45:00):
There are their connections yet the syrup outside. Yeah right,
philm makes some good ship. He's always fun.
Speaker 2 (45:05):
Yeah, Phil does. I I like that products back since
the Caregiver Days, and that's what you see. You see
a lot of brands here that came from those Caregiver
Days that are here in metric, that are also here
at these events, you know, just.
Speaker 5 (45:15):
Trying to get their brains out there.
Speaker 3 (45:16):
How do you compare this to like Massachusetts events, because
I see you're always at events. I mean, there's got
to be positive negatives, you know, I mean to hear both.
Speaker 8 (45:25):
This is probably like larger scale than most of the
Massachusetts events that you see less people like. I feel
like usually there are like a lot more frequent, like
small intimate events where you'll have like one hundred people.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Okay, okay, you know, but.
Speaker 8 (45:42):
There are like larger events like this that I think
definitely compare with like the same exact kind of vibe,
and like you, I think people are like more excited here.
People in Massachusetts are definitely kind of like concerned because
they've watched drop.
Speaker 4 (46:00):
Like, I get a lot of people that'll be like, Fran,
you're in Michigan, Like, what are we gonna do? Prices
here getting scary. I mean, I'm buying pre rolls for
two fifty.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
What do we do?
Speaker 2 (46:11):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (46:11):
I get it, but oh.
Speaker 8 (46:13):
But like it's I think that like you can hopefully
just sell more weed. And Massachusetts I think they're they
have some bill in the legislature right now that they've
introduced where they might be able to double the limit
in terms of recreational purchases, which I think would be
(46:34):
really great because right now they're capped at an ounce
a day five grams of oil a day or uh huh, and.
Speaker 4 (46:43):
You can't combine.
Speaker 8 (46:44):
It's like an ounce or of five grams of oil.
You can't buy like an ounce of weed and five
grams of oil. It has be like one or the other.
And then like you could buy five hundred milligrams of
like edibles, but if you do that, you can't buy
anything else.
Speaker 1 (46:57):
I don't like that.
Speaker 8 (46:58):
Yeah, it's the allotment in my stituse that gives you
a lot of issues because it's like whenever I do events,
because I don't just work.
Speaker 4 (47:05):
For the flower Expo.
Speaker 8 (47:06):
I don't have like any exclusivity with them, so they
allow me to do work with brands because like, you.
Speaker 1 (47:12):
Know, interesting, interesting, just because.
Speaker 8 (47:16):
Of the work that I do with brands, like you know,
like I'll do like a pop up for them, or
I'll do like some sort of like marketing for them.
And when I'm in the store doing like either like
a display setup or like something along those lines, I'll
always hear customers that will want to buy more and
the buttender has to stop them and be like, I'm sorry,
(47:37):
you like hate your limit for today unless you have
like a friend that's waiting in the car outside who's
willing to like let you use their allotment, Like you
can't buy any more. And it's just that like when
in the alcohol industry you can literally buy like just
however much you want and nobody limits you at all.
I think that it's really just like let people make
(48:00):
their money.
Speaker 2 (48:01):
Yes, like how it is.
Speaker 8 (48:02):
Stop it with the ouse limits, Like it's crazy.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
There's all these restrictions for the industry where you like,
taxes are high in some states some states. Smells probable
cause still you guys have we have a limit too,
but you guys limits less than ours, So like, yeah,
that sucks, but like you could still purchase even if
you buy, it just can't only be one transaction, so
you could buy over the you could buy the limit.
So it's just all these restrictions hurt the industry. It's
(48:26):
you hate to see it. It is what I'm trying
to get at. It sucks.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
It's like it's a good point though too, because you
bring up less they can buy less people money people
can be made for these companies too. Like I didn't
even think about that. I think about for the consumer,
Like they want Houston, You guys don't.
Speaker 2 (48:39):
It's not the frame if I'm wrong, you guys, really
big state populate What population was Boston?
Speaker 1 (48:45):
Yes, little town.
Speaker 8 (48:46):
The majority of the people who live in Massachusetts do
live in the Boston area. There's also, like you know,
a big pocket of like college students and like other
people who live out in like the Northampton area where
the Flower Exo has our Massachusetts show. Like there's a
lot of people who vacation out in the Berkshires and
(49:09):
on the Cape. So there are actually two capes in Massachusetts.
There's not just Cape cod there's also Cape Camp, Cape
Ann which is on like the northern and it's in
the north shore. Yeah, most people don't know it's beautiful
up there. But they have dispensories all over the state,
but the majority of the dispensaries are in the Boston area.
(49:30):
The majority of the revenue is found in the Boston area,
just because the majority of the population is in the
Boston area.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
So you do want to say again, we are live
from me connect Puff at the Lincoln Factory in Detroit, Michigan.
Harry Barry Scott us out here for the event. Appreciate that,
Harry shouts, not another wonderful event over here.
Speaker 5 (49:49):
Just want to mention that real quick where we're at
this is.
Speaker 8 (49:51):
A great event. Yes, and I love being in Detroit.
I think Michigan is such a great place. Like as
you said, does have my heart, of course, but like
Michigan I think is so fucking great. Like a lot
of people back on the East Coast, we're like, Fran,
what are you gonna do without the Atlantic Ocean for
the summer. And I was like, I'm in Michigan. I'm
gonna be just find The sun doesn't set for me
until like nine thirty what are you gonna do for
(50:12):
this summerful?
Speaker 1 (50:14):
Nothing like Michigan in the sun is.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
It's beautiful here. I love it absolutely, the up North Michigan,
everywhere it's beautiful.
Speaker 5 (50:21):
I know we're gonna be getting out of here soon,
I believe groovy.
Speaker 2 (50:23):

or so yetause I got the music going back on now.
We're about to go back out there by.
Speaker 1 (50:29):

been a it's been a great stream. I will be
