Speaker 1 (00:01):
welcome back welcome back.
We're having a little bit of arough recording session.
Yeah, this time, yeah, werecorded a whole episode and,
oops, something technicalhappened and we lost the
recording.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Bum, bum, bum yeah, but like it was my recording
that was taken off, like it justI have my.
So if you see me constantlychecking for the people who are
watching on youtube, if you seeme just looking down, it's
because I'm, like now, paranoidthat my recording is gonna stop.
And we discovered that it wasit literally just stopped on its

(00:39):
own, like it just did it againearlier when we tested it out.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
So yeah, so mechanical errors occur
sometimes.
I I have been.
This is my third podcast.
I've been podcasting since 2018and I think in all that time
it's only been two or threetimes where I forgot to hit
record, which is not technicallya technical issue, it's more of

(01:05):
a yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
This time I did hit record and then it stopped.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Yeah, five seconds in I literally just was like do to
do and I was interviewingsomeone and they were, we were
on zoom, recording it on zoomand we had to do it all over
again and you just never get itright.
The second time you lose thatinitial response and reaction.
Yep, yeah.
So today we are going towelcome this is Trina, and.

(01:33):
I'm Emily we're going to play afun game of Gilmore Girls.
Yes, so we told you at theintroduction of our podcast Mind
your Heart that we were hugegilmore girl fans and we love
lauren, graham and alexispledell and we love rory and
lorelei.
And so we're going to play alittle game that I got for

(01:55):
christmas called gilmore girlsand I took my glasses off.
Yes, um, trivia deck, an episodeguide, so so, yeah, so we're
just going to play a little fungame and if you're a Gilmore
Girls fan, you can try to guessthese questions, and if you're
not, then maybe you'll learnsomething new about Gilmore
Girls and actually want to watchit, because it's such a fun

(02:18):
show you should watch it.
I'm about to watch it again.
So do we want to do our highsand lows now or after?
We can do them now all right, soI know what your low is yeah, I
know my low.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I think it's like that.
I'm just tired right now, liketoday is definitely a little bit
more of a low energy day for me.
Um, I did not put on any makeupwell, actually that's not true.
I have like a dot of highlightso I look a little more awake.
But it's just been kind of along week just in general.
Not bad, just long.
So I'd say that's my low, had alittle bit of a cry break in

(02:57):
between episodes.
And then my high You're gettingcontacts.
Yeah, I'm getting contacts.
I was gifted the gift ofcontacts.
So yeah, because like myglasses, like they're like
digging into the side of my face, like there's like a little
indent here and it's veryuncomfortable.

(03:19):
I'm also not used to wearingglasses all the time like and
not that I am wearing them allthe time, but I'm trying to wear
them when I notice that I couldneed them and they do make
things less blurry.
So I'm like, okay, well, maybethat'll help with other things,

(03:39):
like focus in my head andwhatever.
So, anyways, uh, the, yeah, II'm getting context, that's my
high.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
I think those are good highs and lows, yeah, all
right.
So my low is a future low.
I'm gonna give a future low, okay, because when this episode
comes out in sometime inseptember because now we're a
little out of order, so I don'tknow yeah, um but jack Jackson
will have already gone back toschool, so that will be a low,
although I'm going to say afuture high and a future low.

(04:11):
So that's a future low, but thehigh of Jackson going is that
oh, that's our special guest.
It is currently thunderingBecause we special guest it is
currently thundering because wein florida it's raining, it's

(04:33):
gonna rain, yeah.
So, um, yeah, we're just gonnakeep going, all right.
What was I gonna say?
Oh yeah, my future high is thatmy water pitcher, kobe, is
going to be full all the timebecause I constantly fill it and
he doesn't drink it open, wideopen, with his mouth on the tap.
Yeah, so that that'll be notthere.
And then the bathroom, theguest bathroom, will be clean

(04:55):
and there'll be no more laundryon the top of the staircase.
That'll be, yeah, really nice.
So it's a high, a high, low, high and low for the future,
nice for future me.
Yeah, love that for future youme too.
Yeah, all right, so let's getstarted.
We are playing a friendly gameof Gilmore Girls.

(05:16):
We we both have somecompetitive tendencies.
Um, I unfortunately think thatsome of that comes from my
family and you don't think, dad's family's competitive um
yeah, dad's family's competitive, but I'm gonna take the blame
on this one, so I feel like he'sa better sport than um then

(05:40):
yeah, I think he's a bettersport than I am I've.
I've improved though like I hit, I hit rock bottom yeah when I
was yes but not on the podcast.
Yeah, we did we did yeah, whenwe?

Speaker 2 (05:51):
the episode that's coming out september 2nd is a
game, is you and?

Speaker 1 (05:56):
me, oh, and I kicked out my friend's yeah, yeah, okay
well then I'll have to tellthat story again.
Yeah, yeah, but unless they, didn't hear that episode.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
If you want to know it, then you should go back and
watch it, check out that episode.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Yeah, so I did hit rock bottom and now I'm new and
improved and you will notice inthat game, if you are watching
on YouTube, that I'm not gettingas like worked up as other
people in the room.
So I'm like I'm going to givemyself a round of applause for

(06:29):
that.
Yeah, because I think that'scome a long way.
I also remember oh gosh, I haveto confess this one because
this is another rock bottommoment.
So when I was teaching secondgrade for so long, we used to
take kids out and play kickball, sometimes on Fridays, not all
the the time, but every once ina while and I used to like my
sixth grade teacher did thatevery Friday we played kickball.
That was like my favorite.

(06:50):
Talk about like getting kids tolove school.
No matter what was happening, playing a game of kickball every
Friday was like the highlight.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
It was so fun.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
I remember one, what's it called?
Friday the 13th?
I got two home runs in a rowand that was a high.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Anyway, it was fun.
That was a fun, it was fun.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
So we were playing kickball and I had some girls
that were not super into it andthey were like lollygagging in
the outfield and I got mad atthem and then I think they think
they started crying because wewere losing or something like
that, and I was like there's nocrying in kickball and I was
like there's no crying inkickball and I was being a

(07:33):
little bit ridiculous.
We were playing another classand that was the problem.
We were competing againstanother second grade class and
that teacher was very smug andso I was getting mad.
Who was it?
Yeah, it was my friend Nicole.
Miss Siegel, you weren't therewhen she was there, she was so
fun I had the best time teachingwith her.
So I know she's not listening, but if she were, yeah, I had so

(07:55):
much fun teaching with her.
It was so fun and that friendlygame was fun.
But I think my class lost and Ididn't take it very well.
But today is a different day,so I have grown a lot.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
It's a new dawn.
All right.

Speaker 1 (08:10):
So let's start.
I'm going to go first.
Okay, all right, this is aLorelai.
Maybe I should try not to lookat the answer.
Maybe we should just do it likethat Can you see the answer.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
I've already looked at all the answers.
Oh, you have.
Okay, yeah, okay.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
Lorelai discover on her porch after she and Jason
break up.
I would not have rememberedthis After she and Jason break
up.
Yeah, I'm going to talk whileyou think Is this something that
Emily put on her porch.
Well, I don't think I can givehints.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
I guess I can.
I was like so much for afriendly game.
Give my girls trivia, Okay gameokay, no it isn't discovered on
her porch yeah, you're notgonna know this.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Yeah, very hard.
Two cats what I know.
I don't even remember thatafter seeing the answer two cats
, yeah I don't remember thateither.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
All right.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
What award does rory's love interest, jess,
receive from walmart?

Speaker 2 (09:11):
oh, he was the best employee or employee of the
month.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Yes, employee of the month, good job what does
richard want lorelei to do withthe graduation check he gives
her?
Oh, I remember this whenthey're at the community college
.
I'll give you a littlebackground, because I remember
this one.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
And he hands it to her in the envelope when Emily
has walked away.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Oh, doesn't he want her to like?
Keep building the inn.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
No, he wants her to put it towards something fun.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Oh really To have a little fun yeah.
I don't remember that yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
He's like, he's like I want.
He was like have a little fun,or something like that.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Very sweet.
What was located at Luke'sbefore it was a diner, it was a
hardware store.
Absolutely Congratulations.
You got two out of four.
That's kind of sad.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
No, that's good.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Are you ready?
Yep, this is a hard game.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
So I think two out of four is good, okay, uh, when
Lorelai is about to marry Max,where?

Speaker 1 (10:13):
is her bachelorette party held?
Oh, it's in that.
It's in that, is it maybe atthe waffle, the waffle place?
Um, it's at a bar, like Iremember being at a bar, but um,
I don't think you're gonna getthis one.
Okay, I don't know a drag cluboh, I did not remember that.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Yeah, okay um, why does paris freak out during her
and rory's bicentennial speech?
Because she had sex.
Well, that's part of it, butthe answer is she didn't get
into harvard oh yeah, she's likebecause harvard doesn't want me
that's right, because I had sex.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
yeah, I remember the sex part, but not the Harvard
part.
Okay, yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Who invites Emily to Lorelai's bachelorette party.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Oh, suki accidentally Michelle, michelle, yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
That's what it says, michelle, I don't think that's
right.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Who invites Emily to Lorelai.
I think it's Suki.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
I feel like you're right.
Who wants to take the photosfor Max and Lorelei's wedding?

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Who wants to take the photos for Max and Lorelei oh
Kirk?

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, my hint was going to bethink of someone who wants to do
everything.
Yeah, all right.
All right well that's not bad.

Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah, I say two and a half.
Two and a half, yeah, I gothalf of.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
She had sex, oh okay all right so, but that's not on
the card.

Speaker 1 (11:42):
It's just that she didn't get into harvard oh yeah
I just said that it was part ofwhat she did all right, so
that's fine.
Um, what does luke make forlorelei when she's ah, when
she's marrying max?

Speaker 2 (11:57):
oh, is it the little shit?
I don't remember the name of it.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
It's like a arch, yeah, it's a hoopa, hoopa.
I think that's how you say it.
Hoopa.
It's spelled like c-h-u-p-p-a-h, but I don't think it's chupa,
I think it's.
I don't know, but it's a jewishwedding canopy to stand under
during the ceremony.
Yeah, yeah, all right.
So what does rory do to helpher decide which college to

(12:21):
choose?
I know this.
What does rory do yeah to helpherself decide.
It's something that Rory doesto help herself decide where she
wants to go to college.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
This is such a Rory behavior.
Oh, she makes a pros and conslist.

Speaker 1 (12:39):
Yeah, pros and cons Okay.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Because what I was thinking about was what Lorelai
did to help Rory decide, whichwas when she put all the Yale
stuff up in her room?

Speaker 1 (12:51):
Yeah, that was cool.
What does Emily think Lorelaishould add to the inn?
A spa yeah, that's one.
Or a tennis court, but that yougot it.
Where does Lane hide all of herCDs?
In the floorboards?
Good job, that was easy.
One.
Good job, yeah, that was good.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Okay.
Why doesn't Lorelai want to goon another date with Peyton
Sanders?

Speaker 1 (13:16):
Oh gosh, because all he does is like talk about
himself and his car and stufflike that.
I think it was a lot about hiscar, yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:24):
He's boring, with no sense of humor.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
Well, I remember that episode we should pause for
people to think, I guess, because if they're playing along
, we're just jumping right intothe answer.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
All right, okay well, that episode is funny to me
because, like in my mind, likehe invited her to some concert,
like in the future yeah, like aone she wanted to go to.
Yeah, yeah and I was like man, would I hold out for the free
concert?
Like even with this wanted togo, yeah, yeah.
And I was like man, would Ihold out for the free concert?
Like even with this should be,because she would have had to
like go on a couple of datesmore with him in between.

(13:57):
I'm like no, depend on who theartist was absolutely not well
like.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
If somebody was like taking me to the era store, oh
that would be, I think I mightstick it out but but you've
never been on a super boringdate where they just talk about
themselves in their car that'strue, but I probably just do
some like internal like let's goto a movie like organ yeah yeah
, that's a good one or like anarcade.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
That's's good.
Yep, yeah, those are somethings that we could do.
We could also go get a massage.
Then there's no talking.
Yes, but not a couple's.
Why not?
We're in this situation Becauseyou're like naked with the
stranger.
Oh, I don't really care aboutthat.
Okay, all right.
Next, okay.

(14:49):
Oh, I don't really care aboutthat.
Okay, all right.
Next, okay, what role doestaylor assume rory will play
during the opening of his soda?

Speaker 1 (14:55):
shop gosh um, he's got the queen like the ice cream
queen.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Yeah, yeah, yeah okay , which musician did richard
become a fan of after seeing himin a restaurant?
I would not know this, oh yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
I don't know Moby.
Yeah, I don't even know whothat is, me neither.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
Okay, what instrument does Lane play in her band?
The drums, yeah.

Speaker 1 (15:24):
Nice, all right.
Who is Chase Bradford?
I don't know.
I have no idea.
It's a blind date set up bylaurel's parents.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
I don't remember that at all.
I feel I remember her gettingset up on a blind date, but I
don't remember his name beingchase bradford me either.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
I don't remember what he looks like.
Did we see him Just like abasic white guy?
Okay, I don't remember.
Who does Rory see kissing Jessat the first annual Stars Hollow
end of summer madness festival?

Speaker 2 (16:00):
It's that blonde girl .
I don't remember her name.
Her name is Shane.

Speaker 1 (16:06):
Oh yeah, what does Emily do to Rory's Yale dorm
room?

Speaker 2 (16:11):
What does Emily do?
Oh, she like fully furnishes it.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
She redecorates.
What does Miss Patty donate tothe rummage sale?

Speaker 2 (16:26):
uh, oh, is this the the one that where she, like I
don't know?
Now I'm thinking about whatluke donates, because I'm
thinking about the jacket- yeah, that's, that's a good memory.

Speaker 1 (16:36):
They go to the um.
What is that concert with?
What is her name?

Speaker 2 (16:42):
oh, bangles I don't know what is she?

Speaker 1 (16:46):
donates drums that she danced on at the copa cabana
in 1969.
Okay, yeah, I would not havegotten that sorry they were huge
too, and she could jump out ofthem.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
You don't remember that at the end no all right
okay, um what animal wandersinto the dragonfly inn and stays
there for 20 minutes?

Speaker 1 (17:09):
cletus yeah yeah that was really good, I know.
Yes, I'm impressed.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
I can't believe I remember the horse's name.
Yeah, because it says cletus, the horse, yeah I'm like I
probably would have just gottenthe horse part, but not cletus.
I was like expecting you to saya horse.

Speaker 1 (17:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
Yay me.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Okay.
Who moves into Rory's Yale dormwhen her mother asks her to
leave Elaine?
Yeah, I was like this is aneasy one, excuse me.
Who is the eccentric cousin whocomes to visit Trix's?
Who is the eccentric cousin whocomes to T Trix for?
Who is the eccentric cousin whocomes to Trix's funeral?

Speaker 1 (17:52):
Oh, the lady that looks like the grandma, which.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
I'm pretty sure it's the same actress.

Speaker 1 (17:59):
Yeah, it is the same actress.
It's oh gosh, it's on the tipof my tongue, she's even though
Doesn't she smell too?
Um starts with an m I can't, Idon't know, but I think I I
think I got that was a lot toremember those some details.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
maryland, maryland, mm-hmm.
Yeah, you can remember Cletus, but you can't remember I know
Cletus, the horse who keeps aphoto of Lorelai to show to
prospective boyfriends.
Oh, miss Patty.

Speaker 1 (18:38):
Yeah, that's funny.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
I did good on that one.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Yeah, you did.
All right, what is the name ofJackson's cousin?
This is the one I thought youwere going to ask Rune yes.
Yes, ugh, there was more to thequestion, but you got it.
When Rory graduates from Yale, how many resumes does she send
out?
I would never remember this.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Oh, so many, I don't know.
It's like a ridiculous number,isn't it?
Yeah, like 85?

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Nope, 74.
But that was good, that wasclose.
Who did Emily think Christopherwould eventually marry Lorelai?
Yeah, there is a sign behindthe counter at Luke's Diner.
What does it say?
No cell phone.
Yep, good job, good job, nice, okay, all right, you want this
to be the last one, sure Okay.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Okay, why does Michelle hug Lorelai?

Speaker 1 (19:32):
Why does Michelle hug Lorelai?

Speaker 2 (19:41):
When Luke breaks up with her.
No, she's just heard that hergrandmother died.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Oh yeah, I don't know um who well yeah I already just
established that, yeah, allright, um, it doesn't even I
mean like.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
What I meant was that even hearing the answer, I
don't remember.
Yeah, I know it's just funnylike yeah, well, I don't know
who are rory's three roommatesduring her first year at yale oh
gosh.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Well, one of them is paris.
And then the athletic girl whoruns track um, I don't remember
her name.
And then the kind of weird girlthat's like 16 um, yeah yeah,
um, I don't remember their namesjanet and tana.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Janet and tana, all right darn what does emily find
while sorting through tricks'sbelongings?

Speaker 1 (20:44):
oh, she finds a letter that she wrote to Richard
about not marrying Emily andlike getting back together with
Pamela Lott.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
Yeah, pamela Lott, when she gets all drunk.
Look, how good that was.
Such a good memory too.
Yeah, that was good, becausethat's not even in the answer,
the Pamela Lott part.
What is the name of Lane'sChilton boyfriend?
Lane's Chilton boyfriend,lane's chilton boyfriend?

Speaker 1 (21:12):
yeah, it was like the first like asian guy that she
liked henry.
That's good.
Yay, yeah, you did good.
You know we're we're making thebig deal out of this because I
don't tend to remember somedetails.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
So the fact also like .
These are things I would not.
Yeah, these are hard.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
So the fact that I remembered some specifics, yeah,
but I've also watched this showlike seven times, yeah I know I
don't.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
I feel like I haven't watched it in a while me either
.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
I'm getting ready to start again, but I'm currently
watching naked attraction oh mygod, so weird, right so weird
it's just wild, I don't know.
They're totally naked first ofall, like full frontal nudity
for males and females and I'msorry to say, but ew like not to

(21:59):
women.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
I don't mean that to women.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
I mean that to men like ew yeah yeah, it's like
because they're like flaccid.
Ew, yeah, yeah, it's likebecause they're like flaccid.
Oh, I know, but I'm like I justdon't and then.
But I will tell you one thingit has.
Men have good butts.
Some men do have good butts andand I thought that was an
interesting fact that they share.
About butts like that, you'reattracted to it because of the

(22:22):
caveman days when you saw thatas a promising hunter yeah I was
like that's interesting, so Ilike those little facts.
Yeah, I think that's interesting, it's definitely it's.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
It's because, like when you first hear about the
show like if you don't know whatit is, it's basically a show
where, um, there's like one, there's like a person who's like
picking from these people, andI've there's like four six, oh
six okay, so there's six people, they're all naked and the the
main person.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
They uncover them like bottom.
Yeah, part by part.
So the first part is the bottompart of you, like under your
stomach, so like your privateareas and your legs and feet.
And then, and also, this oneguy doesn't pick a girl because
of her bad feet, which her feetwere gross, so, um, that was
funny.
And then, like sometimes theyturn around, look at their butts
and then they next up is your,um, stomach and your torso, yeah

(23:13):
, your torso area and your chest, yep.

Speaker 2 (23:15):
And then your face, narrow it down to like two and
then yeah, then it's their face, and then they have to.
The person picking has to getnaked, yeah yeah, and then they
have to yeah like yeah, but it'sinteresting because it's like
it's like a psychological kindof thing, like it's like not
just like I mean, it's like itis that kind of surface level,

(23:37):
like definitely surface level, but it's like what you're
automatically attracted to yeahso it's kind of like it's like
where you're experiment, yeah, like where you're what your
brain is.

Speaker 1 (23:47):
Yeah what your brain is called to and what like maybe
why?
Yeah, I think that'sinteresting and, yeah, the thing
that it honestly for me hasbeen that it makes me feel like
a lot less self-conscious aboutmy body right, it's and, and the
thing, like some of the peoplehave said, like, oh, like, I
really enjoyed this experiencebecause like I've.
I feel so comfortable withmyself yeah, I feel so free and

(24:09):
the compliments and like theguys are not saying anything
about dumb things that we thinkof yeah like that your boobs are
not proportionate or that youhave a stomach or that you like.

Speaker 2 (24:19):
You're not saying anything about that yeah, most
of like everybody's prettyrespectful at least I've only
seen like two or three episodes.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Well, yeah, I think I'm on like episode three or
four, yeah, but it's all yeah.
So I'm like I mean I can'timagine doing that, I can't.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
I think I could do it Really.
Yeah, okay, so there's thisthing this is so random, but
it's called the food experience,like F U U D, I believe that's
what it's called Um, it's theydo it in New York, um, and Los

(24:54):
Angeles and like in a different, like some different countries,
where you are completely nude, you go completely nude and it's
with a bunch of different peopleand you have like this really
like nice, like dinner and theylike it's like mostly like vegan
, but it's like well preparedand like clean food and you're
like well-prepared and likeclean food and you're just like
socializing with other peopleand I want to do it, like I
think it would be so cool to doBecause, like every I know it

(25:16):
sounds so strange, but it's likeeverybody's there and like and
I'm not explaining it super well, but like, if you look it up on
instagram, it's just so coolbecause it's like everybody's
just them like you.
You literally are just your rawself and like everybody's there
to just like be with each other,so maybe there's something

(25:36):
liberating about that I don'tknow, it sounds terrible to me,
but um I feel like it justsounds cool, because I'm like
it's not a, it's not like, it'sa giant orgy, like it's
literally just like you're goingto have a nice dinner Naked.
I don't know, I think it soundsinteresting.
It would definitely besomething I would be like.
I would want to try at somepoint in my life.
All right, I think it would becool.

(25:57):
But yeah, I started watchingBrooklyn Nine-Nine.

Speaker 1 (26:02):
Oh yeah, I was going to say this was recommended.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
It's good, is it?
Yeah, okay, good, it's funny.
I like it a lot.
