Today's episode is fascinating because we are exploring the connection between our skin and self-esteem and what factors are influencing this delicate relationship in the modern era. Digitalization is fast, and we're constantly being bombarded with so many interpretations of beauty and a post pandemic world has left self esteem at record lows. I was interested to speak to the incredible New York City board certified dermatologist, Dr. Shari Marchbein, who is also an assistant professor at NYU School of Medicine, to discuss this relationship in greater depth.
I quiz her about how technology is affecting our skin and consequently our self-esteem. Dr. Marchbein is a global leader in our field for the treatment of acne and rosacea who has won awards and published multiple articles, I thought she'd be the perfect person to share her perspective of the trends happening and how she looks after the mind and skin of her clientele.
