Hello.
Hello.
Welcome to mindset to results.
Today, we have amazing guest, Cruz Camboa, and,he will share with us the core four pillars for
business grow and scale and grow.
And, it is a very good chance and opportunityto learn from Cruz and from what he will share

(00:30):
because Cruz has a huge experience.
He was, executive in General Electric, and alsohe was executive in business development and
has a lot to share today.
Hi, Cruz.
Hi, Elena.
It's such a great honor to be here with youtoday.

(00:53):
I was really looking forward to to our timetogether today.
Thank you for that.
Thank you so much for your time and your heartthat you bring to our podcast with the mission
and purpose to impact people, to help them, toscale their business, and make the world a

(01:13):
better place.
And this is what exactly is the purpose of ourpodcast, mindset to results, to help driven
business owners, entrepreneurs, to have accessto knowledge and wisdom and experience of such
people like you to grow their business, tobring more impact, to build happiness, and also

(01:35):
help people to do the same.
Tell us a little bit about you.
How did you find your passion?
Why you do what you do now?
Oh, yeah.
That's a that's a beautiful question.
So, look, I've I was in the corporate world fora very long time, and I first started my career
in in the field of finance.

(01:56):
So I was a finance manager, financial planningand analysis leader.
Then later in my career, I went to GE Capitalwhen I was an underwriter for corporate loans.
And then sort of in the last leg of myexperience there at General Electric, I was
more in sales and business development.
But what I found is towards the end of my staythere at GE is, I mean, I had done amazing

(02:23):
things.
I had a lot of success closing multimilliondollar deals, managing teams, growing different
regions and businesses within the organization.
But I just felt like I you know, there wassomething missing.
There was something that felt towards the endmisaligned with my my soul.

(02:43):
Let's let's call it that.
Right?
And towards the end, I had a an opportunity togo to a start up, and I actually felt that that
would be sort of the pivot and the the sort ofthe experience that I needed in order to quiet
that that fire that was starting to burn insideof me.
And I took the opportunity, and it and quitefrankly, it didn't turn out to be everything

(03:06):
that I expected.
And that's perfectly okay because it reallysent me into a my path, which is what I am
working on today, my dream, and sort of my whatI define as my passion, right, which is to help
other founders and entrepreneurs that arebasically have revenues between 3 and

(03:27):
$5,000,000 to scale beyond $10,000,000.
And and some people have asked me, like, why isthat relevant to me?
And I will tell you that being an entrepreneurmyself, I've discovered that the game of
business is really a game of mindset.
And what is really interesting and sometimes isfor the people that are new into into this

(03:51):
work, they they see sort of a spirituality.
They see mindset, and they see business asbeing three different things that you are
supposed to keep in in isolation, in differentsilos.
But what I've discovered is that that is notthe case.
In the end, those three things really act asone.
And I will tell you even more importantly isthat one like, one depend on the other.

(04:15):
So having a spiritual vision and having aspiritual life is what's really wanna is going
to get you to have the proper mindset to beable to basically grow your business and and
just create impact.
And I am really well, that's one of the thingsthat I've really made it have made it sort of

(04:37):
an objective, a goal for my company, it is towork with people that that have that calling.
And not only because it is aligned with myvalues, and, obviously, I like to work with
people that kind of think, like, that we'recoming here to this world in order to, you
know, make the world a better place, to endhuman suffering, to to solve some of the

(04:57):
problems that are really impacting millions ofpeople in this world.
Obviously, that is one aspect of it.
But I also think that the other important thingis to understand that our businesses are really
a vehicle for our own expansion as businessleaders, as as individuals, as humans, as as

(05:21):
souls.
So I I see that those things are very muchtogether.
So I believe, specifically for founders thatare between $3.05, $7,000,000 in revenue, that
couldn't be more true.
You know?
It is those individuals who need the most work, the the the deep work, in order to be able to,

(05:43):
go through the transformation required tobecome the leader of a multimillion dollar
company, dollars 10,000,000 and above, andunlock and let go of all of the beliefs and the
resistance that we are all feeling when we aretrying to grow our companies and we get stuck
and and just basically becoming, you know, theleaders that we need to become in order to grow

(06:09):
our companies.
So that's that's really what it's all about forme.
It's just helping those individuals in thatjourney because that is also my journey.
Yes.
Helping other people to achieve their goals, wealso achieve naturally our goals.
Correct.
Yes.
And thank you so much for your great mission tohelp these people.
Because when you help people to grow theirbusiness, to become so successful, it means

(06:33):
that they can impact so many people's lives.
Because when we're successful, we can even domore, yes, to help and make this world a better
place.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Look.
And and I'm not and when we when we talk aboutthese things, we're not saying that we're not
here to make profits.
I mean, I I you know, somehow, some peoplebelieve that if you have a sort of you're

(07:00):
leaving your your business from a spiritualvision, if you're leaving your business with a
focus on mindset, you don't care about profits.
And that couldn't be further from the truth.
I think you have to look at profits becausethat is just part of growing your business.
And if you see your company as a vehicle forgrowth, then you definitely wanna make sure

(07:22):
that you are growing that you are doing theright things in order to to to grow your
business because that is how you're going tocreate the most impact.
So if you care about the mission, you careabout the results.
Yes.
Definitely.
So before we go to the four pillars of scalingand growth, let's speak a little bit about

(07:46):
spiritual principles.
Absolutely.
Yes.
So with your spiritual principles help you inyour business and in your success?
For me, it's it's several.
Right?
It's let let me let me just digress a littlebit.
I you know, let me tell you how I got here.
Okay?

(08:07):
Mhmm.
So, initially, I you know, sort of whatunlocked it for me was just a book that I read
as I was actually reading the autobiography ofa yogi.
And I actually it's really funny.
I always tell the story because it's it's it'skinda hard to believe that I I got to that

(08:27):
book, the autobiography of a yogi, when I wasreading another book, which is the biography of
Steve Jobs.
And I don't know if you've if you've ever hadthe opportunity to read that that biography.
But, basically, what happened is when he wasabout to die, he was planning his wake.
And everybody that attended his wake receivedthis box.

(08:54):
And in this box, there was a book, and the bookwas the autobiography of a yogi.
So when I read that, I was just like, what thehell is this?
Like, where like, what kind of a book is a bookthat is so powerful that somebody with the
caliber of Steve Jobs will decide to hand itout at his wake in a box for everybody who

(09:19):
attended the wake?
So I started doing the research, and this iswhat got me to to read the autobiography of of
a yogi.
And then something about Paramahansa Yogananda, which is the author of the of of the book,
something about his story and the way that hetold his story and the way that he he described
his journey into becoming one of the mostimportant sages of the last hundred years.

(09:42):
Something about that just activated the creatorin me.
And it's one of those things where once you seeit, you can unsee it.
It just made me want to start looking for more,to learn more about his work, to learn more
about the works of David Hawkins, quitefrankly.

(10:06):
I don't know if you are familiar with DavidHawkins, but he came up with I mean, he wrote
the book Power Versus Force, and he came upwith a very powerful technology to be able to
understand the spectrum of of humanconsciousness.
Right?
What he called the scale of consciousness.

(10:26):
And Mhmm.
I mean, these very simple ideas just basicallybrought me to start being more appreciative, to
use the power of prayer for creation, for usingthe power of gratitude for to sort of attain a
higher level of consciousness on everything Idid and the power of intention.

(10:52):
To do that work, that work carried me for manyyears kind of in a silent way.
I wasn't really using that.
I wasn't really sharing that with othersbecause I I quite frankly, I felt kind of like
that was I I felt a little embarrassed to totalk about that, to be honest.
And then I had a couple of situations, justreally personal situations that just really put

(11:17):
me into a spiral.
You know?
It made me really question everything that Ibelieve, everything that I I thought to be
true, and just really brought me closer to whatpeople define as their, you know, dark night of
the soul.
Right?
So I went through all of that rabbit hole.
And when I emerged from that, I realized thatthe only thing that really matters is basically

(11:43):
just your alignment with your vision, yourspiritual vision with who you are and and your
calling.
And it and it's definitely that's not somethingthat you that you fabricate or you create or
you design, but it's actually something youthat you tune yourself into.
You tune into.
Right?
So I think I've had the just basically lastyear, I had another, I will call it, dark night

(12:10):
of the soul.
And I had the, I guess, the the luck of comingacross the work of who is now my coach, David
Bayer.
And his works have been, you know, sort of, Iguess, foundational in just getting the clarity
that I that I needed to just put everything allof the things that I've been learning and I've

(12:32):
been studying for a decade, put everything intoperspective and just use basically a more
simplified and and and repeatable, I will say, repeatable tools that I can use and I can bring
into my life not only for for my own personalgrowth, but also in in guiding other founders

(12:53):
and entrepreneur in their growth.
Yeah.
Great.
Great.
Really, very interesting how people come tolike, when the student is ready, teacher comes.
Yes?
So Yes.
You collected all these pieces, and then youfound teacher, which everything just connected.

(13:20):
All the dots connected, and you got, yes.
Uh-huh.
Moment.
Yes.
This is how
That's what it's called the hero's journey.
Right?
So every time the, you know, you you you youhave the sort of the calling, the the teacher
will appear, the sage will appear, and willtake you to the next level.

(13:40):
I mean, you you can see that if, for example,in movies like Star Wars, it's the same, like
Obi Wan Kenobi, right, to to Luke Skywalker.
So it's it's somewhat it's it's the story ofhumanity.
You know?
We are we are here to to learn, to grow, andwe're also we're here to guide others.
You know?

(14:00):
So we are the students sometimes, and we arethe masters sometimes.
Yes.
Because there are unlimited levels.
There is always level up and level down.
So Yes.
That is why we never should compare ourselveswith other people and other people also.
We shouldn't compare because there is alwayslevel.

(14:24):
There is always next level.
And, we never can say that we arrived.
Yeah.
We arrived to the place where we are, but morewe grow, more we learn.
We understand so much.
We want to learn, right, so much.
We want to grow more because it is, like, appetite.
Appetite comes when you eat and there'severything delicious, and they want to try that

(14:48):
and try that.
And so this is how awareness when people wakenup that sleepless sleep sleeping mode as,
Napoleon Hill called it hypnotic state, yes, inwhich people are living most of, time.
When they're not awake, when they're notconscious about themselves, about their

(15:11):
programs, about their habits, actions.
This is how they, through repetition, live inthat hypnotic state.
And when we wake up, then we understand that wecan be in control, that now we choose thoughts,
we choose our plans, we choose our dreams.

(15:31):
And when we start this process, we understandthat everything is possible when you believe.
Because when you have that vision and youbelieve, this is where the shift happens, not
when you achieve something.
The biggest shift happens when you startbelieving in that vision that it is possible.

(15:52):
Yes.
And when you start believing and see it as itis real, as all inventions had been made,
Wright the Wright brothers invented planes muchlonger before we could other people could see

(16:12):
this, but they could see this in their vision.
And that is why they could go through so muchchallenges and humiliation because they could
see something that other people couldn't see.
So the next step, after we see it, the nextstep, just fuse with that frequency.

(16:32):
Just be there all time and detach from currentresults, current situation, what people say, or
even failures which you can experimentexperience on the way.
When you fuse with that frequency of youralready wish fulfilled and you start thinking
from that place, yes, thinking as it is alreadyhappened, and you're looking backwards, yet not

(16:55):
not looking, front.
And this is how you take all your actions, andyou get that inspiration because you need that
inspiration and that fuel to push you throughall the circumstances which you are meant to go
through, many challenges which will be given toyou in order to help you to grow to the place

(17:16):
where you want to be.
So this is really a spiritual journey.
It is a spiritual journey.
And I I was kind of smiling as you were talkingbecause you had just mentioned a few things
that really just resonated with me.
Well, the first one I will say, I'm I'm goingto paraphrase, and is that the the journey is

(17:38):
the destination.
So people many people think that when you make10,000,000 or $20,000,000 in your company or
when you achieve that or when you close thisclient or when you get that loan or when you
get that capital infusion that you need inorder to grow your business, you're going to be
better.
You're gonna feel better.

(17:59):
And the reality is, you know, once weaccomplish those goals that we have in mind,
you know, we basically move our attention tothe next thing.
It is a game that never ends.
Right?
And it is important to realize that whatever wethink our goals are, they they're not gonna be

(18:24):
permanent.
Once we reach them, there's gonna be the nextthing that is going to move us.
But what it's really important and what weshould not lose sight of is something that you
said.
And Napoleon Hill, I'm gonna quote you now, right, because I I know you are a Napoleon Hill
follower, so am I.
What what Napoleon said is that the mostimportant thing that you need is desire.

(18:48):
And when your desire is really is reallypowerful and really you're aligned with that
desire, that is when you start ignitingsomething in your in your brain, something in
your in your body that radiates into yourreality.
Right?
So this is why it's so important to to bereally, really clear about your vision of what

(19:14):
you want to accomplish.
And this is exactly what I've these conceptsare exactly the concepts that I've introduced
in my framework, the four the four pillars ofscalable growth.
It is basically all based on Napoleon Hill'steachings coupled with, you know, some

(19:35):
refinements from from my coach David Bayer.
You know, there's some elements on of histeachings in there.
And then also just basically using provenproven frameworks like the scaling up
framework, which is really the operating systemthat I use in order to help companies scale up.

(19:57):
And in addition with that, I I try to includeas much as I can because it really depends on
on how willing my clients are to to dream big.
It's something that is called exponentialorganizations, which is another important
framework by Salim Ismail that allows us to toreally just grow exponentially by design.

(20:21):
Okay?
So when you put all of that together and youbring the discipline of the financial thinking,
which is what I inherited from my journey, thisis of one of my gifts, if you want to call it
that.
When you put all of that together with the sortof the vision and the mindset from Napoleon
Hill, you have a very what it what I believe isjust a very powerful framework to grow your

(20:48):
company.
Yes.
Yes.
So would you like to share those four pillarsof scalable growth without
Oh, absolutely.
Would it would it help if we actually shareshare it in the screen?
I think it would be for those people who areactually watching, I think it would be it would
be cool to be able to see what that looks likein in terms.

(21:11):
So, you know, this is, as I said, the four corepillars of scalable growth.
It's really a combination of differentframeworks that are set up in in a specific
order.
So I and the reason why I say in a specificorder is because if you don't have clarity on

(21:33):
your vision and your mindset, we can try towork on your strategy and execution.
We can try to bring AI into your system.
We can try to, like, work on your financials.
And yet, you're always going to be sort ofbehind it.
We're not completely aligned with it.
You're going to be you're going to feel likethis thing that you're creating is not

(21:57):
necessarily a part of you, but something thatyou are kind of working on.
And that misalignment tends to materializelater through the execution of the work that we
do as self sabotage, as self doubt, asdelaying, as basically not believing in what

(22:18):
we're doing.
And then it could potentially put at risk thethe work that is required in order to grow your
company.
So this is why I start with vision and mindsetas the first pillar.
And only when I've I've made sure that we'vedone the work there that we have clarity on the
vision of of what we're creating and only whenwe have identified what are the beliefs that

(22:45):
could get in the way of scaling your companyonly when we've done that work, then we move
into fixing your financials.
Because if your financials are not set upproperly, if you don't have the right systems,
if you don't understand how to read yourfinancials, or you don't have a person in your
in your team that can help you get the insightsthat you need in order to grow, then you're

(23:11):
gonna be flying blind.
Then you're gonna be making decisions that arenot grounded in numbers, that are not grounded
in facts.
And that is not a place where we want to be.
But once we've mastered that and once we feellike we have a good handle on your financial
infrastructure, then it's time to talk aboutstrategy and execution.

(23:32):
And when we talk about strategy, we're notreally talking about tactics.
We're talking about just basically justcreating a strategy that is grounded on the on
the vision and the purpose and what you'retrying to bring to life, right, what you're
trying to create.
And it allows you to to come at it from a placeof authenticity, from a place of being

(23:57):
differentiated, basically what we call a blueocean strategy, where you are not competing
with anybody, but you're just creatingsomething that others desire or need.
Right?
So that is the trick, to create something thatother people cannot replicate because it is

(24:17):
unique to your company, because it is based onyour core values, because it is based on the
competencies that you already have and thatmake you special and that make you strong and
that make you unique.
So when we put all of that into play and whenwe get really clear about what our strategic
priorities are, then we can put KPIs and OKRsin place and get everybody in the organization

(24:42):
aligned.
And this is where the magic happened.
Because it's not only alignment from you andyour vision, but it's also alignment from
everybody that is working with you.
Because in the end, if you think about it, inthe end, everybody has good intentions when
they come to work.
They wanna work on things that matter.
They want to feel that their work is important.

(25:03):
And if you put it into perspective and you Imean, you you know the the the Maslow's
pyramid.
Right?
And if you think about it in those in thoseterms where, you know, we as humans, we have
really basic needs, for example, like food andshelter and and, you know, socialization,
etcetera.
We have all these really basic needs.

(25:25):
And most of us, for the most part, have a in inI guess, the developed world, let's just make
that clarification.
Right?
In the developed world, we end up covering alot of those levels of the of the Maslov's
Pyramid.
And what's left is in at the top of the of thepyramid is meaning.

(25:47):
So we are all, for intents and purposes, whenwe go to work, we're looking for meaning.
Right?
So when we have a mission that is really strongand really powerful and we have clarity on how
our work aligns with that mission, then you arereally giving people the opportunity to align

(26:09):
themselves with something big.
And this is when people show up.
This is when people want to come to work.
This is when people want to collaborate.
This is when you put your ego to the sidebecause you believe in the mission so much.
That is the kind of organization that we wantto create.
An organization that feels easy to managebecause everybody believes in what we're doing.

(26:30):
People are not just coming to work.
People are coming to build something bigger.
And then finally, intelligent leverage.
It's really all about using systems andrepeatable processes that are aligned with the
strategy of the organization.
And most importantly, putting in automation andusing AI not as a way to just basically

(26:58):
automate the chaos, but automate and and andexponentially grow what needs to be scaled.
Okay?
And, you know, AI is one of those things thatpeople understand that is going to have an
impact in their businesses, and they're they'restill not sure how.

(27:20):
What I'm trying to do is I'm trying to teach myfounders, my clients, a way to use AI as an
extension of their brain, a system to allowthem to organize the organization, to organize
their mission in a way that is more scalable aswell.

(27:43):
Right?
And then finally, using AI, using systems, andusing a few tools that are that, you know, have
picked up over time, having the ability toprioritize it properly because it's all about
prioritization.
Where we put the attention is where the growthhappens.
So how do we make sure that we as founders areworking on the right things and our people are

(28:08):
also working on the right things and what toolsdo we give them to be able to understand what
is the most value add task that they could beworking today in order to grow the mission.
So that is basically the in in a nutshell, thefour core pillars of scalable growth.

(28:31):
Oh, Elena, I think you're on mute.
Yes.
So yeah.
No.
You can close the slides so we can get back.
Yes.
Yes.
All these all these pillars, of course, it canbe another episode.
So we can I think we can create more episodesto go in everyone more deeper to those pillars

(28:56):
because it is
I would love that?
I would love that.
That's great.
I'm actually trying to do something similarwith with another colleague that we're trying
to do a podcast on each of the differentpillars because they they they honestly, they
deserve a deep dive in understanding whatthey're all about and how can we adopt what

(29:18):
really works for us in our businesses.
Yes.
It is very important to have this structurethis way because entrepreneurs, when they come
to this world, it is so much they have to thinkabout.
Is it if if they come from corporate world, like, as you.
It is so many hats which you which you can put,And, the structure and understanding is so

(29:43):
important.
And, of course, everything starts, from theburning desire.
Yes.
When we really want something so much and weknow why we want this, and we can see as it is
real.
Absolutely.
I love that.
So, yeah, I look.

(30:04):
I'm happy to, you know, talk about any other ofof of any of the pillars a little bit more or
answer any other questions.
Like, what what comes to you as we as we havethis conversation, Elena?
Yes.
I think that we will record other episodeswhere we will go deep about each pillar.
And today, we can, summarize what we discussedalready because we discussed so many important

(30:32):
things.
We can just a little bit summarize that threethree things are important, yes, for success,
as you said.
That
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
And so I would say to kinda, like, sum it allup Mhmm.
Most of us, many of us think that we have astrategy problem, a people problem, business

(30:55):
problem.
Right?
But in reality, what we do what we really haveis an alignment problem, a mindset problem.
So it is very, very important to to just havethe humility to accept that our mindset affects
the results of our companies.
So we need to we need to just kinda giveourselves space and find helpers, find people

(31:19):
that can help us and guide us through throughthat growth.
And I will say the other important thing is toremember that our companies are a vehicle for
our own growth.
Okay?
So every time we we we see that something isnot working, what we need really need to be
asking is what is it that we are not sort ofintegrating or understanding or where is the

(31:46):
misalignment in us that is not allowing us toexpress it properly in the growth of the
business?
And then finally, I would say that just theawareness that there are tools, that there are
frameworks, whether you like my framework ornot.
I mean, there are other frameworks as well.
I personally have put a lot of thought andheart into creating something that has value

(32:11):
for people, not only because it's basicallyleveraged on existing proven frameworks, but
it's also it's grounded on truth.
It's grounded on on spirit, and it's groundedon on the intention to to really give you the

(32:31):
tools for you to really seek the alignment andfind that alignment that you need in order to
to grow your company.
So whether you do that through the work that wecould do together or just basically finding
other ways, there's many paths to to gettingthere.
Right?
But it's just just being aware that that thatis something that we need to really work on.

(32:58):
Yes.
And success in business, as we spoke also, iscome in hand by hand with the spirituality.
You cannot be successful if you are not, understanding the loss.
It's because success is not just a cons a a acoincidence.

(33:22):
It is not luck.
Yes.
Some people think that, oh, that person islucky.
He's successful.
It is not luck.
It is something that he is doing behind scenes.
So much work which people don't see.
And when they see him as successful, they thinkit is luck.
But it is do as, again, old Nightingale saidthat success is the progressive realization of

(33:48):
the worthy ideal.
It means that every step when you grow, you aresuccessful.
Every day when you do something better, even ifit is 1% better than you did before yesterday,
It is already success.
As and as you said, the journey is success.
Yes.
This is every day when you become better, ifyou do better, if you become more disciplined,

(34:12):
if you have more skills, this is how success isbuilt.
And the purpose of the goal is to make us grow.
It is not to have something.
It is that purpose of that goal is to us grow.

(34:32):
That is why we have to have big goals.
Is that burning desire doesn't come from smallgoal, like having 10%, 15%.
As usually people, if we we ask them abouttheir goals, they just think logically what is
possible for them and maximum they can say, oh,two times, it would be great.
Yes?

(34:52):
So it is not that big goal if you know how toachieve it.
If you just think, logically, how connect thedots and you will know how to arrive there, it
is not the right goal because this goal willnever make you grow because you will just do
what you already did before and what youalready know.
So there is no space for growth.

(35:15):
And understanding this, yes, understandingspiritual principles.
For example, also you mentioned, like, if youare spiritual person, so why you think about
money?
And the answer is that spiritual person thinkabout money is a fuel for achieving goal.

(35:37):
It is not the goal money.
Correct.
But Yeah.
You have the big goal, something that is muchbigger than you, much bigger than material
things.
And when you focus on that goal and, you focuson providing value and you grow and you give

(35:57):
the value, this is how you achieve that growth.
And the amount of money which you receive willbe always equivalent to the value you provide.
So by other words, when we focus on the valueand we're providing this value and we grow on

(36:20):
the way, this is how we get compensated byuniverse.
And we we don't know how we can compensate it.
We don't know.
There are so many ways which will endorse, which will open on the way when we have that
big vision and when we think and act from thatplace.
We never can connect the dots when we lookforward.

(36:42):
We can only connect them when we look backwardsand we say, oh, yes.
That I did that.
This is how everything connected.
Correct.
Yeah.
So this was that was beautiful.
And I I you know, amen.
So I I everything you said is it I totallyagree with.
And I really wanted to thank you again for theopportunity to be here in your show, I'm

(37:03):
looking forward for other conversations in thefuture.
Yes.
Thank you so much, Cruz.
It was my pleasure to speak to you.
So our next four episodes, which we will plan,it will be about four pillars of, scalable
growth, and I'm looking for that.
Okay.

(37:23):
Thank you so much.
You're most welcome.
