Unknown (00:00):
The moon is our internal reality. It's
unconscious. It's somethingthat's just there. It's like a
default way of being in theworld. It's what we're drawn to,
people that we're attracted to.
This is the moon in action, andif we can refine this, if we can
work with it, we become veryaware, wow. This is an
attraction that feels like it'son the soul level.

Hey there, kinderd spirits. Welcome to
Modern Life and Spirit Podcast.
It's Christina Wooten, certifiedpsychic medium at
SedonaMedium.com thank you somuch for joining us for today's
show. We are going to be talkingabout the influence of the Moon
from all the different cyclesand phases and how that
influences our lives, how we canslow down and create presence

(01:12):
and connection with those deeperrhythms of the natural world,
and also how we can be moreunderstanding, more connected
with the moon in our chart, whatexactly that means from an
astrological perspective, andhow we can take that
understanding a little bitdeeper. So to do this, I've

(01:34):
invited Suzanne Gerber to helpus and guide us in this journey
of making that deeper connectionwith the moon. Suzanne Gerber is
a classically trained modernastrological counselor with over
three decades of experience, which says a lot combining deep
astrological knowledge with apassion for spiritual growth,

people to navigate life withgreater clarity and intention.
Thank you so much for being herewith us. Suzanne,

Unknown (02:19):
thank you so much for inviting me, Christina, so

Christina Wooten (02:22):
let's talk a little bit about how you got
started doing this. You

Unknown (02:25):
know, I think, like a lot of people, I just got here,
wasn't completely premeditated.
You know, it wasn't like when Iwas young. I said, You know what
I want to be when I grow up? Iwant to be an astrologer, and I
want to talk to people face toface around the world that
technology wasn't there. Peopleweren't caught up with
astrology. It was still alittle, you know, considered a

(02:48):
little fringe, and people youhave to explain and defend
yourself a little bit. But I'vealways been interested in the
night sky and the planets andmoon phases, of course. I mean,
who doesn't fall in love withthe night sky when there's a
full moon, especially like inthe summer, in the fall, when
there's super moons, and they'reso close to the Earth that you

(03:10):
feel like you could practicallyhug it and and bring it into
your home. It's just so, I thinkso imagination sparking. I like
would dream about the planets. Idid my first science fair, like
in third grade. I drew all theplanets, and I just started to
get pulled into all theseinteresting areas of study. But

(03:33):
again, we didn't have aninternet so you really had to
work to find sources andteachers back in the day, but I
always had bizarre thingshappen, an incident with a Ouija
board when I was 10 years old, just kind of blew the door off
the hinges. And I realizedthere's something here, you

(03:55):
know, when my grandmother'sspirit came through that we
didn't even know, and it wasjust the most amazing moment.
And it just kept happening andhappening. And I feel like there
were these guides or thisdirection to lead me in a
certain way, and it was reallyjust about not just being in

(04:17):
resistance and saying this, thiscan't be or I can't do that, or
this isn't possible. But lookingat, well, what would happen?
What if? Why do all these quote, unquote coincidences keep
happening to me that keepleading me on a certain path and
introducing me to differentpeople, finding teachers by
quote, unquote accident, andthat just my my journey began

(04:43):
before I actually startedstudying astrology. It was just
something that I had reallywanted to do more than anything,
and that was 40 something yearsago, and I've just never
stopped. But my great teachersare like. Science, because they
give me feedback, and theyreally, they bring the theory to
life. And you really get to seethe myriad ways that just say a

(05:08):
sun in Virgo could come out, ora Moon in Sagittarius. These
aren't cookie cutter definitionsor interpretations every single
chart, and get ready for a bigcliche. Here truly is a
snowflake. They even when twopeople seem to have the same
chart twins, they're differentbecause they express

(05:30):
differently. In our job asastrologers, it isn't just about
memorizing what something couldbe. What is Capricorn energy?
What is this kind of angle in abirth chart? But really using
our intuition and allowing Icould I will prepare for an hour
before a session, I will havetwo pages of notes, the chart

(05:53):
and all the upcoming planetaryimpacts. We call that the
transits, the planets in thesky, how they activate, the
birth planets. And I'll have allthat prepared. And I get on a
call like this, we never knowwhere it's going. It's like what
you love to say, how spiritshows up, how we allow it to
move through us, and that's whenthe magic happens. And so

(06:16):
staying open to this continuing, even at a mature age, to be
guided through these higherrealms by trusting the guidance
that comes through being smart, not just not just saying yes to
everything, but really gettingout of our way and seeing what

(06:36):
resistance is really aboutbecause when we stop resisting,
I think the whole universe opensup to us. I think

Christina Wooten (06:47):
that's a really, really important thing.
I hope people mentally highlightthat when we stop resisting, the
world really opens up for us.
And I think that's so important.
And thinking about what you aresharing so many people are
intuitive, especially naturallyin their work. So it's like even
the accountant can be intuitivein their work. The doctor is

(07:08):
using their intuition. Theastrologer, you are using your
intuition. So there's facts andthoughts that we have about
things, but when you reallyunderstand the energy of
something, it teaches you, andwe become these magnetic
receptors for something deeperto be able to move through us.
And that, to me, is where allthe excitement happens when the

(07:31):
intuition is really guiding andsupporting our journey in a
bigger picture way. So often, many have lost connection with
the energy that's flowingthrough our lives, influencing
us on a regular basis, and wecan see the physical impact that
that's having in the world. Wecan see the tides, the different

(07:52):
Moon processes that arehappening. We can see the
farmers used to plant by thecycles of the moon, because it
really affected their harvest.
You know they're not messingwith their money and their
harvest. And to think about howthat's impacting our lives, it's
impacting our bodies. It'simpacting us spiritually. It's
impacting us emotionally in bigways. How do we go back to

(08:13):
honoring the energies that areflowing through? I

Unknown (08:19):
think it starts with the recognition that something's
missing. You know, that we'rejust so busy, we're just always
chasing, what's next, what's thenext deadline? What's the next
goal, what's the next, you know, project? And it's when we can
really stop and say, Wait aminute, who's inside of me?
Who's inside of this, this mind, body? What do I really what do I

(08:41):
really desire? What do I reallyneed? It's a whole journey just
to get to a place ofacknowledging that we have needs
and that they deserve to behonored. And it sounds so
simplistic, and it sounds soWait. Is that true? I in my
work, I find that it's verytrue. I feel like I'll be
talking to women, young women, older, older women, I work with

(09:03):
people in their 80s, and I thinkwe really want to honor what our
true essence is. And I do thinkthere's a return to this. I
think people are bringing moreritual into their lives. They're
slowing down, whether they havea meditation, formal practice,
or they just take time out toclear, clear the mind

(09:24):
decompress. I really feel likewe all have a, intuition, B, we
have wisdom, and we know whatour paths really entail. But
it's not so much figuring itout. It's clearing all the stuff
that we've just taken on almostmindlessly. I need to do this.

(09:46):
I'm supposed to do that, andwhen we just start to we don't
have to just get rid of it,because a lot of that stuff we
still want to do. But there'sthis essential connection to
nature, to. Of the earth to ourown souls that we I don't
believe we can get to it withall the noise, with all the

(10:08):
distractions. You and I bothoperate virtually or on social
media, and we work on thesevideo conferencing platforms,
and they're wonderful. Thesethings are mind blowing. They
connect us with people all overthe planet, and there's a
certain insidiousness to it, andwe know this, and it's not an

(10:31):
accident that all these thingsactivate the reward centers in
our brain. In spite ofourselves, we become addicted to
this kind of connection. Thiskind of connection is beautiful.
It's so important. And, youknow, like anything, there's a
shadow side to it. The shadowside, I think, is that we don't

(10:53):
even have control over beingable to stop it. So what I
think, and this was yourquestion, what? How can we do
this, we have to recognize allthe things that are influencing
and not impacting us, and wehave to decide I want to be
closer to nature for myself. I'mnot the world's best at this,
but after every reading that Ido with a client, not only do I

(11:19):
exhale, I step outside barefoot, and I walk on the earth, and I'm
near my trees, and I'm near myplants, and I I just get to be
outside and breathe deeply. Nowthat's a that's a micro
practice, but on a larger scale, being in nature, taking walks,
being on the water, sitting in apark, doing the things we love,

(11:42):
getting on a bike and justriding through a beautiful Bucha
trail. It might seem like, howis, how does that help? It
starts to offset all thisdigital pressure, get ahead,
competitiveness, and the morespace we give it in our lives, I
think the more power it's goingto start to take on another

(12:02):
thing that I think is fantasticand this kind of an occupational
hazard. Get outside and look atthe night sky, especially if
you're lucky enough not to livein the city. There are dark
places in in the world, andthat's wonderful if we can, if
we can sojourn to them. But evenif we can't get out to a desert
or a high mountain, we can stilltry to find a place that isn't

(12:25):
full of light pollution and justlie there and look up at the sky
and watch, especially when duskgives way to dark and the stars
start to come out. Right? Youknow that that experience of,
Oh, there's one, there's one.
And to really try to tune in andfeel the vastness, the
infiniteness, the timelessnessof this, of all that is, it can

(12:49):
really start to shift how big arole our little problems. And
don't get me wrong, peoplereally have struggles, and I'm
very sensitive to them, to myown. But when we start to see
how vast this universe is thatwe live in, we can start to
shift our perspective. We canalso start to see that we're

(13:12):
part of that that's not outthere. We literally are part of
that. We're made of the samestar dust that the universe is
made of. And this is whereastrology comes in for me.
Because if we know where thatand we have these birth charts
and planets in the skies areimpacting them, there's got to

(13:34):
be wisdom there. There's got tobe insight, and almost like
pulling back the veil on whatour path is. But I think it's
very important for us toremember that we really are
these nature bound, Star Dustbeings, and everything else is

(13:55):
something that we're choosing, and the choice is always ours. I

Christina Wooten (14:01):
really liked what you called your micro
practice, because I think thatthat's important is having
touchstones throughout the daythat refresh our spirit, that
renew our connection with theheart, that make sure that we're
moving with purpose and not justaimlessly functioning out in the
world, that there's somethingreally driving this meat suit

(14:21):
every single day, and I wasthinking about what you were
sharing, I've started one of mymicro practices is to sit
outside and watch the sunsetalmost every single day. So I go
outside and just enjoy andappreciate that moment and
celebrate the closure. And Ifind that when I sit out, once

(14:43):
it gets dark, if I, you know, follow that transition further
and watch the stars and doshooting star hunting, because
we live in Arizona, so we get tosee all of that. When I do these
things, I sleep so much betterbecause I'm in tune. I'm in tune
with that sight. Cool. It's ithelps the melatonin, it helps

(15:03):
something in the brain. And Ifeel so much more rested that
evening. I fall asleep better. Isleep more when we're tuned to
that it can really support us.
You know, we forget sometimesthat our body is meant to be in
alignment, to be in harmony withthese natural cycles, we're
shielding ourselves from theelements or shielding ourselves

(15:23):
from the outdoors, but they arehere to support us, to help us,
to guide us into a deeperrespect for ourself and others.
So I found that as I slow downand I've become more
intentional, the further I'vegotten on my spiritual path, the
more it's involved me saying noto things, saying yes to other
things. I choose intentionallyto live more slowly, to

(15:45):
recognize that that, for meinvolves priorities to sometimes
I have to say no to somethingI'd like to do because it
doesn't fit into the energy thatI have chosen to express. And
part of that slowing downprocess for me has been paying
attention to more lunar cyclesand softening into that when I

(16:06):
make classes and plan forclasses, you know, I'm always
getting at my calendar for whenare the Retrogrades happening?
Where's the full moon? Where'sthe new moon? And coordinating
and planning around that forpeople who maybe want to slow
down but haven't reallycollected their micro practices
that are working for them, ifthey wanted to start with trying

(16:28):
to understand the moon, thecycles of the moon, more, what
would you suggest that theyreally needed to know? What are
the highlights that you feel aremost important around the moon
energy. You know, we got like, three hours, right, all

Unknown (16:44):
day, don't we? No, there's so many ways to look at
it. There are the monthly lunarphases. And I think most people
are familiar with at least whatyou said, Christina there.
There's the new moon, the DarkMoon, which is associated with
beginnings. It's a time forplanting. Like those farmers,
you could plant literally, and alot of people do. There are a

(17:06):
lot of people who garden or farmby the moon, and the New Moon is
considered to be the mostfertile. Wow. And it's when you
want to plant things, you wantto begin your ideas. But we can
also talk about thismetaphorically. It is very true
that this is a time that you geta notion you're like, you know
what I'm going to do? I'm goingto start to take daily walks,

(17:30):
or, Oh, I'm going to start toeat a certain way. I'm going to
begin to write a project. That'sthe time to begin it. And then
there's actually eight lunarphases in every single month,
and they get a little technical, but let's keep it simple. On the
path from new to full, which iswhat everybody knows, I would
think, right? That's abouthalfway through. That's about

(17:53):
roughly two weeks. And so thatmoon that's getting bigger is a
waxing moon, and it starts froma waxing crescent, and until we
get to the quarter moon phase, which is a time to balance. And
then we continue waxing, andthen we're in the gibbous phase,

(18:14):
which is just before it's full.
And then at approximately thattwo week point from the New Moon
halfway through the monthlylunar cycle. That's the
culmination. That's where youmight start to things might
start to really come together.
There might be a point ofcompletion, ah, I finished that
project or and these things goon and they continue over six

(18:38):
month cycles, which are theeclipses, but getting a little
ahead of myself. So it's notjust every month, there's bigger
there's like concentric lunarcycles, but then at the full
moon, that's when we can say,Okay, I'm going to evaluate what
I've done or experienced, andthen we decide, do we want to
continue it go more, or do wewant to start to release it. And

(19:01):
it's the same thing with women'scycles, our fertility cycles,
right when we when we worktoward, in that waxing phase,
developing the egg that couldpotentially become a child, the
baby, and then it starts toshed. And that's the time where,
you know, women might have theirmenses and but also it's when we
could start to release thingsthat we've been working on. And

(19:24):
then that second half, that'sthe waning moon, and then you've
got waning gibbous then thequarter moon, where you look
back on the month and you say,how are we doing? Do we still
like this? Are we still engagedwith it? What kind of response
are we getting? Should wecontinue? Should we release and
then in that final phase, thatlast quarter before we reach the

(19:47):
new moon, and this is when youand I are born, both of us have
a waning moon for our natalmoon. And it's important to know
your natal lunar phase, becauseit's going to give you a little
more insight. Into your some ofyour natural tendencies get to
that in a sec. And then we getinto that waning, and then the

(20:08):
very last phase, just before thenew moon. It's called the
balsamic phase, and that'sreally the time for rest, for
meditation, to get quiet, to getstill, to really bring it in,
because this is leading up tothe next new moon, in the next
literal or metaphoric planting.
Now there's other there'sanother really important thing

(20:32):
every single, well, you couldsay month, but it's just an
ongoing cycle when the moonchanges signs every two and a
half days. And we know thatthat's why you have a moon in
sag or a Moon in Capricorn, because it's changing signs two
and a half days when the Moon isabout to change signs and it's

(20:53):
not going to make an importantangle or aspect to any other
planet. We say that moon isvoid, void, of course, and that
void, of course, moon and it'snot, it's not something you can
just guess off the top of yourhead. You need to have a little
guide. You need to have a littlecheat sheet, which you can find

(21:14):
online. You could find it invarious books, especially Moon
books, and that could beanywhere from two minutes to a
full day and a half when thatmoon is not going to make any
other touch, any other planets, that's kind of like a dead zone.
It's like in sailing, you're aniron so you're not going
anywhere. So the understandingis, Exhale, rest, don't try to

(21:35):
initiate something new when I'mmaking plans with people or
booking something important.
Obviously, I'm not going to doit during a Mercury Retrograde,
but I will also check and Iwon't do it when the moon is
void, because the understandingis nothing will come of it. It

(21:57):
could get undone. So this is, Ithink, testament to how
influential the moon is, evenwhen we're not aware of it,
right? This is happening, andwhen we can become aware of
these things, we can get intoalignment with it, just like you
sleeping better when you've beenout stargazing and shooting star

(22:19):
hunting, if you will. There'ssomething about when we connect
with natural cycles that we'rein alignment, and it's a very
naturally organic healingprocess. And the moon is just
one of the many planets that wecan attune to, but because the
moon is so close to Earth, it'sour own satellite, and because

(22:39):
it is so visible, and becauseit's so shimmery and silvery and
poetic, and it's the stuff ofsong and literature, so many of
us just feel a connection to it.
So it makes sense. It's easier.
It seems to track the moon. Weoften get to watch the moon
rise, which has its own kind ofenergy. It can, it can bring

(23:01):
forth our own emotional but I'mthinking more like it's a
knowing. It's not a hunch, it'sa full on knowing. And I think
that there's a reason that themoon is it's always guided
people before they even had themost rudimentary telescopes,
because it was right there. Andthen we're going to get a new

(23:22):
moon in every sign once a year, and then sometimes at the
beginning of the year, themiddle of the year, we'll get
two new moons in the same side,at the beginning of the month,
the end of the month, becauseit's only a 28 day cycle, so
when it kind of catches up intothat timing, you might Get two
new moons, or two full moons, the blue moon, but because

(23:44):
typically we only get one, whatwe're going to do is we might
start something at a new moon, like just before the Scorpio New
Moon. And so if we plantsomething new in our own lives,
or maybe in our herb gardensaround that time. Yes, we can
look to two weeks later, but wecan also look to six months

(24:06):
later when we get thecorresponding full moon, in this
case, in Scorpio. So what kindof emotional or what kind of
bonding, or what kind of trustissues that we're working with
have come to a point ofcompletion. So this was my image

(24:28):
of kind of concentric circles ofworking with the moon you can
just keep doing. Then there'sthis other 18 month cycle of
tracking the quarter moon in theside and then the full moon, and
then the closing quarter, andthen the new moon, and that
takes 18 months for it to be inthe same sign. And you can find

(24:51):
the most fascinatingconnections, whether in your own
life or world events. So workingwith the moon, it's pretty deep,
and I don't know if I. Sayinfinite, but it's pretty vast.

Christina Wooten (25:02):
Yes, yeah, can just keep going and going and
going. You know, I was thinkingthat a lot of people, when
they're initially starting totake the moon seriously, they're
tracking some of the cycles.
They're marking it on theircalendars. They're thinking
about it more like, all right,I'm really gonna do this,
they're also thinking aboutmanifestation, right? And so as

(25:23):
you were talking about that, thetime where you look back and you
think, all right, the seeds thatI've planted, are they moving in
the direction that I want themto move in? How is it feeling
right now? Is there somethingthat I want to bring into a new
cycle, or something that I wantto release and let go of during
this time, there's always thefear of, well, maybe I'm putting

(25:44):
things out into the universe andout into the world that I'm not
quite fully seeing the benefitsor the results yet. So am I
quitting too early? Am I saying, you know, maybe I should release
this and let it go, because I'mnot seeing something physical
quite yet, but I'm wondering, what is your personal thought

(26:05):
when you look back in yourmanifestation cycles that says,
Okay, these are the check marksthat say, yes, it's time to keep
going. That's the message I'mgetting. I'm moving forward in a
way that feels like I'm inalignment. I'm moving in a way
that feels really good for me.
And also the signs that make yousay, you know, I think I'm going

(26:28):
to refine, I'm going to shift,I'm going to change it, I'm
going to make an adjustment forthe next cycle.

Unknown (26:34):
This is such a good question, because what you're I
think, to me, Christina, whatyou're really talking about is,
when do we trust the process andstay with what's really in our
heart, versus when do we thinkwe're like reading the signs and
interpreting things correctly, that maybe we're heading down a

(26:55):
wrong path? And this is where itgets really interesting, because
it can be hard to know when ourfears or our hopes are leading
the way instead of some kind ofinternal truth. This is really
tricky, and this is wherebecoming more and more connected

(27:15):
to what's in our heart, connected to our own guidance,
learning how to interpretguidance. For some people,
especially clairaudient people, the guidance will come through
like, Yes, do it in actualwords. But for most of us, it's
more of a sense, and it mightpossibly be a visual image that

(27:37):
we get, but it's more of asense. And because this realm
isn't something we can provelike mathematics, this is
Neptune's realm, not Saturn.
Saturn is the physical, material, empirical world.
Neptune is the dreamy, metaphysical, intuitive, divine,
connected world. And when we'rein the Saturn world, 3d reality,

(27:59):
we we know the rules, pay yourbills, you won't get in trouble.
Stop at the red light, show upfor work. This is Saturn, but
when we start to get into thisother realm of this is my
calling. These are my dreams.
This is my gift. This is my thisis my service in the world, not
as clear, especially if we feellike we have intuitive gifts

(28:22):
that we want to incorporate intothe work we do, how do we know
we don't get that same clearfeedback? This is the work. The
work is developing our ownknowing. How do we figure this
out? This is, this is an ongoingquestion, and I think there's a
lot of ways we could do it,continue to spend more time in

(28:44):
quiet, in nature, not beingassaulted by all these stimuli
and distractions, because theywill confuse us. We can't live
like that. We're not monks ornuns so but what we can do is we
can create sacred space andtimes where we really just do

(29:04):
come back to ourselves. I thinkthat it's really helpful to work
with a teacher. You know, whenyou could work with a teacher
for years, you could work with amentor for a few months, or
maybe six months or a year, maybe get into a program that
really resonates with you andreally ground yourself in this

(29:25):
way of being, we have beenreinforced in the Saturn way of
being since we were tiny, unlesswe had like, hippie parents and
we we were lucky enough to startto call be, you know, rewarded
for coloring outside the linesinstead of punished. But we we
need to find what's true for us,and we need to find some way to

(29:47):
validate it when we start to getbetter at it. We know there are
people that work with cards, divination cards, you know,
traditional tarot, or otherforms of Oracle and divination
cards. And. Can be a fantasticpractice, pulling a card every
day, or checking in on things, keeping a diary of what

(30:07):
information comes back to you.
Obviously, you know, I'm goingto say astrology is great,
because it can be especially ifsomeone else you're working with
someone else, they can give youvalidation. I mean, this is one
of the biggest things. I alwaysask people their intention for a
session. 50% of the time it's Ijust need some validation.

(30:29):
Because I think I know, but Idon't, I'm not sure, and the
chart will give us some veryclear indications of whether
what they're talking about andpursuing aligns with what we see
as their soul's purpose in thislifetime. I think people learn
to work with other techniques, like working with pendulum can

(30:51):
be fantastic when you're reallynot sure. You get clear, you set
up the parameters ahead of timeso that you're not going wait, I
don't like that answer. Let meget right. We set it up ahead of
time, and we practice, practicewith the pendulum applied
kinesiology, which is anotherway of letting the body's wisdom
speak. You know, where you caneither have somebody else press

(31:15):
down on your hand, or you can,you know, there's a lot of
different systems, like makingrings with your with your thumb
and forefingers, and seeing ifit stays strong or comes apart,
but finding the validation. Imean, this is what people have
been doing from the beginning oftime, is finding ways to work
with natural cycles and naturalphenomena to reinforce what we

(31:37):
think, I mean, think about it,we're just like born in this
world. Maybe we had wise andloving parents, people I meet,
you know, in work there were, there were disruptions along
that path. So we're all justkind of winging it, because is
this right? Is this what I'msupposed to do? You know, for

(31:57):
every electronic device in ourhouse, we have a user manual,
but for our psyche, no, it'sjust freestyle it, and that can
be really confusing andoverwhelming. You've just been
through the last two years.
You've just been through two ofthe hardest generational
transits that a person is goingto go through that can be

(32:19):
really, totally disorienting.
Like, how do you even knowwhat's right? Everything that
you'd been believing for so manyyears, decades, suddenly not
holding water anymore? We haveto reinvent and so, I mean,
again, for me, astrology, thisisn't just rules. This isn't
just somebody else's opinion andour interpretation. It's how to

(32:41):
really learn and internalize andinteract with the nature the
energy. It's really the energyand the vibration of the planets
and their relationship to oneanother. We start to work with
it. It really starts to speak tous, and it's to me, it's a very
clear beacon on whether that isa good path. Maybe that's ego,

(33:05):
and ego doesn't have to be anegative thing, but maybe it can
be ego that's driving something.
Instead of coming back andsaying, Okay, let me start over,
and I'm guiding myself too, butalso what feedback I get from
the universe, right? Wheneverything goes wrong, it's
usually a sign that you're onthe wrong path. When you start

(33:29):
something new and you go, I haveno idea if it's going to work,
and all of a sudden, yes. Andthen you get a job, and then you
get a this, and then all of asudden people are coming to you.
That's usually the greatest signthat you're on the right path. I

Christina Wooten (33:42):
think that we do really have that if we're
off, there's this really naggingsensation that no matter what,
you just cannot get rid of. Youcan try, you can do all kinds of
coping skills, positive andnegative, and no matter what, it
just seemingly won't go away.
And then we know, all right,it's time for a much bigger
intervention than maybe whatwe've been trying before. It's

(34:04):
time to move into a differentpath. But I do love what you
were saying about looking, looking for the deeper messages,
and that some of that can befound in astrology, some of it
is really found in connectionwith our heart energy and
learning to develop thatintuition to a higher level, so
that we're listening to thedifferent layers of intuition.

(34:25):
That's what's happening in mybody, how do my emotions feel
about this? What's the sensethat I'm getting about this
experience that I'm having?
What's coming forward, andwhat's the other feedback that
I'm getting in my life aroundthis particular situation, it's
those things together can helpus to really navigate a

(34:47):
confusing world at times.

Unknown (34:49):
Yeah, increasingly confusing. I think I love that.

Christina Wooten (34:53):
So you're mentioning about when you're
born and what the moon was doingwhen you were born. Can you talk
more? About how that caninfluence us, because this is
new information to me, and I'mlike, Oh, I gotta look this up.

Unknown (35:05):
You know, I would venture to say that we all know
our Sun sign. I mean, that'swhen we're born, and that's the
part of the sky, theconstellation that the sun was
in, and that directs our outerlife, our conscious life, what
we create and how we how weexpress ourselves. It's
extremely important. It's a bigpart of what our mission is. But

(35:27):
the moon sign, and again, thatchanges every two and a half
days. You can't guess, like, Oh,you were born in January. Your
Moon must be no because, andit's not going to be the same on
the same date on differentyears. This is something you
have to look up in a book, whichwe call an Ephemeris, or really
online in software, which prettymuch, I think everybody on the

(35:49):
planet knows how to find thisinformation. So the moon sign
speaks to our inner life. Thesun is our outer life, our
conscious life. The moon is ourinternal reality. It's
unconscious. We can make itconscious, but it's it's
something that's just there.
It's like a default way of beingin the world. It's what we're

(36:11):
drawn to. It's the type ofpeople that we are drawn to.
It's what we what we go for, what we like to eat and when, if
we're going shopping, what wejust kind of always are going to
be drawn to, maybe fabrics thatfeel soft, or certain colors or
things. This is the moon inaction, people that we're
attracted to. And if we canrefine this, if we can work with

(36:34):
it, we become very aware of,wow. This is an attraction that
feels like it's on a soul level, sometimes, yeah, we're attracted
to people because of they saysomething clever, they seem
funny or nice, or, if it'sromantic, they're nice looking.
But on a deeper level, the soulis looking to bring itself to to

(36:54):
connect with its own soul tribe.
People really on the samewavelength. If our wavelength
needs a little bit of work,we're going to be attracted to
people that reflect back to us,where we still have some work to
do. And let's face it, that'sall of us to different degrees,
but the moon is our unconscious.
It's not even conditioned. It'sbeyond that. It's deeper than

(37:18):
that, and it connects to ouremotions, our desires. And
bottom line, it's what we needto feel safe in the world, safe
and fulfilled. It also speaks toour connection with our mother,
or the person who had the roleof mother in our early
childhood. And so the sign isgoing to describe certain

(37:42):
qualities, certain innate waysof being in the world and and
again, there's other factorsthat'll that'll boost it or
mitigate it, but an Aries Moonis just going to be impulsive.
Do it. Don't ask questions.
Don't think about it. Don't talkabout it. You certainly don't
need to emote over it. Just doit. And a Taurus Moon needs

(38:04):
comfort and safety and security, and I'll jump all the way up to
Sagittarius for you is they needfreedom, and they need truth,
and anything that gets in theway of that there's no patience
for so that will describe yourmoon one way another, way that
we understand our natal Moon isthe house. It's in the house,

(38:25):
the 12 houses of the chartthat's determined by your time
of birth, and if you don't knowyour time of birth, this is why
astrologers will encourage youto take all the possible steps
to do that. Because we knowwhere the planets are. We can
look that up in a book, in oursoftware, but to know where they
fall, this is very significant.
And the 12 houses represent anevolutionary journey, the human

(38:49):
journey from being born andhaving a self in a body to the
second house. That's the firsthouse, and the second is
securing it and starting to feelgood about it, and developing
our own values. And the third ishow we communicate and express
and realize, wow, it isn't justme. There's all these other
little beings around, and that'sthe journey. And so the moon in

(39:12):
whichever house it's in, isgoing to tell the sign will
describe how it acts, what itneeds, how it expresses, but the
house will talk about the areasof life that are very, very
important, where they need tofeel secure, where they might
have, where we might have atremendous gift, and if it's
involved in a challenging way,where there's, there's certain

(39:36):
emotional lessons andeverything, in the chart is for
our evolutionary growth. Nothingis bad, nothing is bad, nothing
is wrong, nothing isproblematic. It's our unique way
of experiencing what I like tothink of as our hero's journey
in this lifetime. And then whatlunar phase are we born? During,

(39:58):
because that's going to help usunderstand what our
predisposition is in how we act.
If we're born in a new moon, wecan be full of wonder and
excitement, and there's so manythings to do, and I don't even
know where to start, and I wantto do that them all. But then,
if we're born during a quartermoon, it's more about reflection

(40:19):
and caution and looking backwardand looking forward and weighing
the possibilities a full moon iscan be a very dramatic
personality. It can also besomebody who's depending on
which sides, they might seem acertain way on the outside, but
really internally, they arequite different to what what
they're expressing. And then thelast, the final phase, which I'm

(40:42):
born under the balsamic that's asleepy, restful time. And the
understanding is it can, itcould take a little more effort
to to get things going, to getthings off the ground. I have a
challenged moon. Is that aproblem? And you see me shedding
any tears over that? No, becauseit's the tough, you know, quote,

(41:04):
unquote, the challenging thingsin our chart that are the
motivators. When you have thingsa little too easy in the chart,
people who have too much ease, they don't really push
themselves. There's no need.
Where's it going to come from?
It's the people who have some ofthe classically most difficult
charts, who have accomplishedthe most extraordinary things,

(41:27):
and that's so important forpeople who do either know or
find out, Oh, I've got this badthing. There's no such thing as
a bad thing that's badastrology, your chart is
absolutely perfect. And it's aperfect description. It's
perfect reflection of the lifeand the path that you've chosen
to come in, and we could grumbleand groan and complain and

(41:51):
resist and insist that we'revictims and it's all a mistake.
Or we can get busy and we cansay, No, I got a vision. I know
what I'm here to do, and if itdoesn't kill me, it's going to
make me stronger. Let's get onwith it. And that is the whole
point of astrology. That's whywe call that evolutionary

(42:11):
astrology. How does this chartshow me the possibilities for my
growth in this lifetime?

Christina Wooten (42:19):
I love thinking of the things that
maybe give people trepidation intheir chart for them to
consider. Consider it amotivator. I mean, this is key.
I try and think of it like thattoo, like this is a key for
something to be able to unfold,or for new energy to be
released. In my life, when youthink about those little

(42:40):
challenges, or even the bigones, wherever they come from,
that it's a key for new andbeautiful, powerful energy to
come through, also that we canfind a certain piece with not
being afraid to be challenged, not being afraid about things
being hard or things beingdifficult, that there really is

(43:01):
a beauty and being able toexpress ourselves in different
directions, in all ways, to thefullness of our vibration, the
fullness of our energy. I lovewhat you're sharing about all
the different layers of themoon, because people really
haven't looked at it. You know, maybe you've done your birth
chart. You know, you've tried tolearn about it. You've gone

(43:23):
deeper with it. You've appliedwisdom and validation like you
were talking about in your life.
You know, make sure that you'vealso done it with your spouse,
that you've looked at yourchildren, that you understand
them, because knowing their moonsign, I think you know even your
best friend can help you have somuch understanding and how you
can support them when they aregoing through difficult times,

(43:45):
like what's going to speak tothem in a meaningful way, and
how you show up, what kind ofsensitivity they need. I have to
think about that, because I havethe Aquarian side of me, and
also there's some Sagittarius inthere, so I have to be sensitive
with some people. You know, Ihave a friend of mine that I
have to really bring mysensitivity with me to

(44:06):
connecting with them andcomforting them. But I wouldn't
know that without understandingthe moon signs that are around
me. So those who are listening, don't forget the people around
you, because you can be a betterfriend, you can be a partner,
you can be a better, moresensitive parent, just even in
understanding that it's abeautiful thing. Yeah,

Unknown (44:31):
I love that, because that's another thing about the
moon. It is part of whatconnects us. It is what attracts
us to different kinds of people, and when we can honor what our
moon needs, in terms of that, Ithink we can surround ourselves
with the people that support usand understand this and allow us

(44:51):
to give to them, and we get touse discernment of like, wow.
I've been friends with thisperson for 15 years, and I.
Suddenly, you know, and thishappens frequently to people as
they start to have their ownspiritual awakenings. The thing
that nobody talks about is whatI call this spiritual collateral

(45:12):
damage that we can't always stayfriends, or the friendships
can't stay the same with thepeople from our past lives. It's
like when people get intorecovery from any kind of
addictive behavior, you can't goback to that old crowd. You
know? They might think I'm goingto get clean, and then I'm going
to go, oh, I can't go back tothose people, because there's

(45:35):
something that pulls us down.
And we don't want to bejudgmental here, but we know
what a higher vibration is. Weknow what, what the intentions
of that are, and they do have todo with respecting other people.
Freedom and addiction, unfortunately, is by definition,
a low vibration expression ofwhatever it is persons in core

(45:55):
energy we see it not caused bythings in the chart, but
reflected. The chart is amirror. We we are the thing, but
the chart is just a reflection.
And so sometimes, when we're notreally sure, well, how do I talk
about myself? Or how do Iunderstand this? Or if we're

(46:16):
talking to another person, Iwould never just sit down with
somebody randomly, and I'll justuse the word analyze them. The
chart is a brilliant diagnostictool, and we have to bring like
what you're saying, Oh, I haveto remember, my friends, there's
more sense, maybe more sensitivethan I am. That's something that
astrologers are always beingreminded. Watch our language,

(46:39):
watch our body language. Watchour tone. Let's not be, let's be
careful not to project judgment, even sometimes with a facial
expression, like if we gasp, that that's something we don't
want to do. We want to be very, very neutral. We want to we want
to hold space for the personthat we're with. Everybody is on

(47:02):
their own journey. Their journeyis right for them. We're going
to make smart decisions. We'regoing to make false steps, but
we're all going to do it becausewe're all human together, but
mostly our responsibility is notto fix or correct or instruct
other people, unless we've beenasked and perhaps paid to do

(47:24):
that. But our work is to becomeour highest self, because in
doing that, we put the highestpossible vibration out into the
world. And that's just that'slike a collective contribution
we raise, and it might just be adrop at a time, but that is
raising the collective vibe whenwe're doing our work and putting

(47:47):
it back out there, and peoplewill be attracted to us. They
will feel that, and they'll wantto be friends with us, or lovers
with us, or, you know, work withus, in in the spiritual work
that we offer.

Christina Wooten (47:59):
I'm so inspired by everything that you
shared with us today, I feelthat there were so many nuggets
that I want to sit with a littlebit more, maybe bring it into
meditation. I am truly gratefulfor all that you have shared.
For those people who want tohave some intuitive insight on
their charts, maybe it's been awhile since they've you know,
had seen someone and had itdone. Maybe they just want to

(48:21):
check back in and get realignedwith their life, or those who
just want to go a little bitdeeper in their journey with
astrology. What is the best wayfor people to reach out to you
for a session or for some ofyour offerings?

Unknown (48:35):
Thank you for that. Um, my website is called stars and
stones healing. Because I alsowork with stones in my in the
shamanic part of my work. Sostars and stones healing.com,
but Christina, you know, I knownot everybody is just ready to
jump right in and book areading. If they are, that's
fabulous. And I think we coulddo great work together,

(48:57):
especially if people know theirbirth times. But sometimes
people just really want to get asense of I don't know if you
could help me. Is this somethingAstrology can support me in? So
I offer anybody who's sincerelyinterested a complimentary call
with me, which they can book.
Now this one is easy toremember. My name is Suzanne,
and just go to ask Suzanne, like, ask a question. S

(49:20):
suzanne.com and that will takeyou right to a place in my
calendar where you can book acomplimentary call with no
obligation and just to chat alittle bit about you. I know
when I want to do work with newpeople. I like to get a sense of
them, because, you know, peoplewho aren't aligned can actually
impede our progress, right? Ifpeople are coming they have a

(49:42):
different perspective, differentworld view, it won't support us.
And I'm never trying to talkanybody in anything. I'm just
looking for how do I help peoplethat I'm aligned with? That's my
only mission.

Christina Wooten (49:57):
Thank you for offering that. I will add that
to. Description wherever peopleare listening today. So if
that's something that they wantto do, they can have that deeper
dive with you and see how itfeels. And

Unknown (50:08):
I just had one last thing I wanted to mention,
Christina somehow, which seemsimpossible. We talked for this
whole time, and I never talkedabout how important gratitude
is, because even when you are ina dark place, and we all have
those moments, whether it's fearor loss or, you know, just a
breakup or just a phase. You'regoing through dark night of the

(50:31):
soul. We have to process it. Wehave to go through what we're
going through. There's nobypass. But one of the things
that I find is so helpful, andthis is real. This isn't just
like woo to develop a gratitudepractice and to really tune in
every day, whether you're taking10 minutes and going through all

(50:52):
the deep, beautiful, amazingthings you're grateful for, or
you just say, I got a busy day.
But before I start, let meconnect in my heart center to
three things that right now I'mfeeling particularly grateful
for, just to focus on it and tofind your own way of connecting
to that gratitude. And somepeople are like, Oh yeah, I have

(51:15):
a gratitude practice. And otherpeople are like, give me more
information about this, and so Ijust did a little talk, and I'm
offering that free to all ofyour beautiful listeners that's
available on my website. Andit's just a little talk about
the the importance and some andsome tips and by a micro
practice on developing your owngratitude practice.

Christina Wooten (51:40):
Thank you so much for being so generous with
us, for being so generous withyour knowledge and everything
that you've shared with us. I amso grateful to dive a little bit
deeper into some of the thingsthat we've talked about, and
know that anytime we canimplement those things and we
really, really start to shiftour life in a positive way. So
thanks again for being here, it

Unknown (52:00):
was it was wonderful chatting with you. I so enjoyed
this conversation. Thank you.
