What you are about to hear is the conclusion of chapter 2 of the Momba Raw and Unfiltered Podcast.

What if embracing change could unlock a whole new dimension of personal and professional growth? Jump down the rabbit hole as I celebrate two years of the Momba Raw and Unfiltered podcast journey—a transformative path that has led me from podcasting to exploring new frontiers like voice acting and audiobook narration. Reflecting on the connections built and the self-doubt overcome, this episode is a heartfelt tribute to the power of seizing opportunities. As I prepare for a brief hiatus to chase further aspirations, I invite you to reflect on your own choices and their potential impact on your future.

In this episode, I express deep gratitude to the incredible dope souls who've supported my journey, from Shelly Trow and Erin Garcia-Fernandez to the inspiring Victor M. Cunningham, whose book "Morning 'Mo' To Go." I have the honor of narrating. The VO Lounge, an online haven for aspiring voice actors in the Skool app, has been pivotal in my growth, and I tip my hat to its founder, Jesse Arthur Carroll. My family—especially my mother and daughters—have been my rock, inspiring resilience and authenticity.

As we wrap up, I urge you to explore the book, "Morning 'Mo' To Go," by Victor M. Cunningham, for a dose of positivity and remind you to keep connected, stay hydrated, and cherish the power of community.

Blakkmomba (00:25):
Hello Kings and Queens.
It's your favorite girl,Blakkmomba.
Did you miss me?
I know I missed you all and Ican't thank you enough for
tuning in and hanging out withme today.
Can you believe that the MambaRaw and Unfiltered podcast is
entering its third year?

(00:46):
Time is truly a construct.
I can vividly remember sittinghere wondering if I could do
this, should I do this, and ifanyone in the world would listen
to me at all.
The same questions that kept mefrom starting.
The same questions that kept mefrom starting.
Amazing the confidence thatcomes from setting and crushing

(01:10):
goals.
As of today, the podcast hasbeen downloaded over 1,800 times
, heard in over 20 countries and350 cities, and that is just
the analytics from my host site, buzzsprout.

(01:30):
When jumping down this creativerabbit hole, I never thought my
voice would travel so far to allof these places, not to mention
the doors that would open toexplore and try new things.
Looking back over these pasttwo chapters of the podcast, I

(01:51):
was blessed to connect with somany dope souls, each of them
having a hand in elevating mepersonally and professionally,
connections that would not havebeen possible if I would have
stayed stuck in my head dreamingand not doing.
I cannot stress the power ofconnection enough.

(02:15):
The residuals from them can belife-altering.
By opening myself up to attractenergies whose light reflected
mine, it has changed my life forthe better.
Because of these people, I amno longer chasing dreams.
I'm pursuing them with will anddetermination.

(02:39):
If you follow me on socialmedia, you may have learned that
I intend to take a brief hiatusfrom podcasting to establish my
dream career as a voice actor,a career I never thought

(03:07):
possible or even seriouslyconsidered until I made a
connection with someone who'sseen my potential, made me aware
of it and gave me a startingpoint in the right direction.
Because of that one singularconnection made via social media
over a year ago, I can now saythat I am an official voice
actor who will be producing andnarrating their first audiobook.
Now look, I said brief hiatus.

(03:29):
Okay, that means a break justto focus on some things I need
to do in order to elevate myselfpersonally and professionally.
The podcast is here to stay.
The point I'm trying to make isthat the possibilities are
endless when you decide to openand go through doors of

(03:52):
opportunity.
Possibilities you neverconsidered or even thought of
will spring up simply becauseyou chose to explore your gifts
and talents.
Podcasting opened the door tovoice acting.
Voice acting opened the door tonarrating audiobooks, and that

(04:13):
has opened the door for me toreturn to school, to get my
education in business management, and that is going to lead to
me owning my very own business.
If I had talked myself out ofpodcasting, this future most
likely would not have beenrealized.

(04:35):
Choices we all got them.
Our lives are a literalrendition of the old school
choose your own ending books.
The choices you make today willhave an impact on your tomorrow
.
It sounds cliche, but that'sfacts.

(04:56):
Oftentimes we won't see theimpact u ntil later on.
It isn't until this moment thatI realize probabilities that
never crossed my mind are nowfront and center stage, ready to
be made real, all because o f achoice
I made.

(05:16):
A choice to silence theself-doubt, fear, uncertainty
and just do it.
I did not let my beingun-knowledgeable or concerned
about what the world would thinkkeep me from trying, simply
trying.
You see, you will know when youare ready for change, for more.

(05:40):
Your focus will be singular.
Your hunger will be insatiable.
You will make a plan and notjust talk about it, but be about
it, working your plan andattacking your goals.
With the completion of goalscomes confidence, the confidence

(06:02):
you need to elevate and grow.
The next goal won't seem sodaunting or impossible.
Your belief in yourself andyour capabilities will be the
fuel you need to keep the fireinside you burning alive, giving
you the confidence to set newgoals and oiling the hinges of

(06:24):
doors that once seemedimpossibly stuck.
Stuck by you.
I promise that whatever yourdreams or goals are, they are
made possible through you.
Are you hungry for them?
Are you allowing self-doubt ornot knowing how to start keep

(06:46):
you from having the life youdesire for yourself?
Each day you allow to pass byis a day you will never get back
.
Time lost.
Life is short enough as it isand, if you haven't noticed, the
days aren't getting any longer.
They actually feel like they'reon fast forward.

(07:10):
But, unlike your favoritestreaming platform, you can't
rewind, pause or stop time.
It is the one commodity everysingle soul on this earth has
stock in, but how much of it?
That is something we will neverknow.
You can't trade time, but youcan gamble with it.

(07:33):
The question is will you see again, a return on your gamble
with time or will you waste itaway, spending it on people,
places and things that do notbring you peace, value anything
positive to your life?

(07:55):
I don't know about you, but I'mdone gambling away my time and
seeing it waste away on theclock.
I've spent majority of my lifelost, unanchored, drifting
towards a vast sea ofnothingness.
I've wasted away so much of myprecious time doing things that

(08:21):
served me no purpose other thanto keep me from my purpose, but
no longer.
No longer.
I don't know how much time Ihave left to play with.
I just know I do not want towaste a minute of it any longer.
I pray you are able to find away to reflect on your choices

(08:45):
today and determine if thosechoices are creating an
atmosphere for personal andprofessional growth.
Look at where you were lastyear and ask yourself if you
want this one to look and feelthe same.
Ask yourself if you want moreand, if so, are you starving,

(09:13):
hungry for it and willing to dothe work it takes to pursue your
desires?
I pray you know that you arenot alone, that if you are ready
for change, opportunity willhave no choice but to lead you
to doors of connection, whereyou will locate and find those
of like mind and mission whowant to help you and see you

(09:38):
succeed.
With that said, I want topersonally thank a few people
who, through doors ofopportunity, chose to connect
with me and help me on thiscreative journey.
To the subscribers of theBlakkmomba Effect on Facebook:

(09:58):
Rick, Stephanie, Raphael,Latanya, Adonis and Antwone.
.
.
you all help to keep meencouraged and motivated to keep
going, in more ways than yourealize, your belief in me means
more than you know, and I'mjust grateful for you.

(10:21):
Thank you so much for choosingto jump down rabbit holes with
me and support me on my creativejourney.
I got nothing but love fory'all, thank you.
Then there's Kelvin "Big PapaTeamer, it don't take a whole
day to recognize sunshine, andyour light is blinding.

(10:44):
Thank you for sharing it withme and being the first soul to
see my potential in voiceover, pointing the way to get me
started and helping me realizethat this is something that not
only I can do, but do well.
I will never forget you, BP.
To those who planted seeds intomy dream by donating and sharing

my GoFundMe campaign (11:09):
Shelly Trow, Erin G arcia-Fernandez,
Drex of Drex New Music, ChasityJeffries, Christopher Perkins,
Brandon Moore and VictorCunningham.
I cannot express my gratitudeenough for you all.

(11:31):
Knowing that there are peoplelike you in the world who see
value in what I'm doing makesthe work that much more
meaningful to me.
I promise that your blessingwill not be in vain.
May you see a return on whatyou blessed me with times 10.

(11:51):
Thank you again for yoursupport.
Now I don't know how he'll feelabout being mentioned, but I
absolutely cannot not give a bigthank you to Mr Victor M
Cunningham, author of "MorningMode to Go, for not only giving

(12:13):
me the pleasure and opportunityto narrate my first audio book,
but for being one of the dopestsouls I have connected with in a
while.
It's not often that you get tomeet God's favorites, so when
you do, believe me, that memorywill last for a lifetime.
Thank you, sir, for beingexactly who you are a child of

(12:38):
God who walks his talk.
It is clear to see in the wordsof your book that you have a
beautiful spirit.
I want you to know, Mr.
Victor, that you are a blessingattached to divine timing.
It is an honor to have theopportunity to bring the words

(12:59):
of your heart to life and I amprivileged to have your belief
and trust in doing so.
May everything you do and touchbe blessed.
I hope you agree to come on theMomba Raw and Unfiltered podcast
one day here soon.
I would love to have you on todiscuss your projects, your life

(13:23):
and your mission in this world.
Consider this your formalinvitation.
There are so many of you that Iappreciate and you know who you
are.
You know the vibes and I loveand thank you too.
But I would be remiss if I didnot mention the VO Lounge, the

(13:46):
first real, authentic, genuinethe list goes on virtual safe
space for like-mindedindividuals outside of my own
that I have ever interactedinside of online, ever in life.
Now y'all know if it's Mombaapproved, it's legit and

(14:10):
something the world needs to beaware of.
The VO Lounge is an onlinecommunity in the Skool app.
If you have never heard of theapp, that's school, spelled
S-K-O-O-L.
Accessible online and in yourmobile play store.
I'll provide links in the shownotes.

(14:32):
But yes, the VO Lounge, acommunity created by Jesse
Arthur Carroll, voice actor andcoach for people interested in
establishing themselves as voiceactors.
I can literally create anentire podcast or write a blog
spot about this community alone.

(14:54):
So I'll try my best not tofangirl so much and get to the
point.
I cannot help but to plugpeople, places and things that I
find existing in the onlineuniverse that are authentic,
organic, dope and just simplyelevating.
The VO Lounge is that place.

(15:17):
You feel me?
I don't even know how I foundmyself in this community.
It's not on Facebook and it'snothing like any groups on
Facebook that I have come acrossand if you have, please let a
sista know and share.
We need to be more aware ofthese spaces to help expand and

(15:37):
grow communities of substanceand value.
These places tend to get lostin the ether due to scams and a
high consumption rate of contentthat does not add value to
one's life outside ofentertainment a distraction from
one's life, really, as well asthe bigger picture outside of

(16:00):
our self-imposed bubbles, theworld at large and its social
constructs.
But I digress.
Let me just say that I feellike I won the virtual lottery
when I found this place.
It has been instrumental in mygrowth as a voiceover artist.
What I love most is the actualcommunity.

(16:23):
The people I have encounteredthus far have been genuine in
their desire to assist and helpeach other grow in every way you
can think of in voiceover.
And Jesse, someone who is arising star in voiceover, is a
real gem.
He is personable, energetic, committed and, most importantly,

(16:46):
authentic Not something youwould expect of someone as
successful as he is in thisindustry.
So if you are interested in acareer in voiceover, I strongly
suggest you start your journeythere in the VO Lounge.
Links will be available in theshow notes.

(17:09):
I save my family, my tribe, forlast.
My mother is old school and isnot that fond of modern times,
the internet or technology, andeven though she doesn't
understand half the things I'mdoing and attempting to do, she
still gives me the green lightthrough her love and her quiet

(17:33):
support, simply because sheloves me and she sees the love
and passion that I have and letsme be me, do my thing.
I see you, mommy.
Thank you for the love and thesupport you have always given me
my entire life.

(17:53):
I wish the world knew amother's love like yours.
Now, my girls, you are all whyI do what I do.
You inspire me to be great.
I see you looking at me.
I am a reflection of you.

(18:13):
What you see is unknowinglybeing planted in you.
You see me proud of myself, dedicated, frustrated, working
hard.
You see everything.
The most important thing, yousee, though, that will imprint

(18:34):
on you is my response to it all,how I allow it to affect me,
mentally, emotionally,spiritually, my environment and
my relationships with you.
It is necessary, vital even, that you, my darlings, see your

(18:57):
mother achieve, so that you knowfor a fact that you can.
Each of you help me grow daily,as a woman, as a guide, as a
teacher.
My greatest achievement hasbeen raising you to be you,

(19:23):
individual personalities withtheir own style and tastes,
unapologetically.
I'm going against the grainhere, the machine designed to
rot your brain, stifle yourcreativity and suppress
self-esteem, confidence andhope, raising you not to conform
.
It's a trying job that I worktirelessly but cheerfully.

(19:44):
I desire greatness in you.
I don't get tired of raisingand teaching you.
You three are my ultimate life'swork.
If I leave you with anything, know this "Everything is by
design.
You be the artist, not themuse".

(20:06):
Once again, through connection,by being open and willing to
allow yourself to carry you, youopen the door to allow those of
like minds to gravitate towardsyou.
So many of you have connectedwith me on social media and I

(20:28):
have been blessed each time.
I am thankful to you all.
Here's to the power ofconnection.
Well, beautiful people, I thinkI'll end it here.
A nice conclusion to season two, don't you think?
We started off discussing thepower of connection with dope

(20:51):
souls near and far, some known, most unknown, and here we are
ending on the same wavelength.
I appreciate all of you whotapped in this past season,
jumping down rabbit holes withyour girl.
I got a few ideas baking forseason three, but I'd love to
