Our first season has come to a close, so Sara and Chrissy are reminiscing about all of the movies they've watched for the pod. The good, the bad, the really bad, and even a few we hope to pull from The Bucket next season.

Hello, and welcome to mouse ears and a movie, a Disney
animation conversation.
I'm Sara Farrell baker joined bymy co-host Chrissy Woj

we are two grown women avoiding responsibility and
watching cartoons every episode,except this one, we will be
watching a Disney or Pixaranimated feature, chosen at
random from the bucket.
then we will reconvene here toshare our thoughts, some behind
the scenes knowledge andprobably make some weird noises.

This week, we aren't watching anything.
It's the season one finale.
So let's talk about all themovies we watched, the ones we
wish we had and the ones wereally wish we hadn't.

So this season, I'm gonna try todo this off the top of my head.
We did Bambi little mermaid.
Lelo and stitch, but somethingbefore that hunchback in Notre
Dame, dinosaur that's five,Cinderella bolt.
Oh, Fantasia.

My argument is as such followingnow, bolt has no redeeming
qualities.
There's nothing good about it.
They even have like musicalinclined people who don't do
anything musically.

And then hunchback has.
A shitload of good music, savefor the one about like lusting

Don't love that one.
but hunchback has a redeemingquality and that redeeming
quality is the music and it getsone half of a redeeming quality
for Jason Alexander.

I I get it with the music, but I would rather just
go to YouTube and listen to thethree songs that were enjoyable
in that movie.
I would watch bolt again.

I'm not gonna go out of my way to watch bolt again, but
like, I've got a, baby.
when he's four he'll like bolt,it'll be adorable and charming

My son, went after me for my stance on bolt.
he loved the movie given he isnine.

It's a kid's movie.

Hunchback of Notre Dame is not

Sara (02:35):
no, it is not, but Disney really does a great, usually
does a great job of movies thatkids will see, but the parents
can also at least tolerate atthe very least tolerate.
Usually we enjoy them.
Dear God, I hated bolt.
August came after me.
Like he listen to that episodeand he waged war on me.
He changed my phone backgroundto a picture of bolts and he

oh my God, I forget what else.
He was just like trying to prankme first he came in here and was
giving me.
A fake, very nice.
Like, oh yeah.
It was a funny episode.
You were very good in it.
And then after a moment, when hethought that I felt safe in that
conversation, he was like, whatwere you is the best movie it's

got this it's got, and none ofit was good, but those were his
reasons

Chrissy (03:25):
but he's a kid and it's a kid.
So like if, if Disney hadn'tmade it, I would've liked it
like point blank, but becauseit's Disney, I have higher
standards for it.
that is where I think it wasbetter than hunchback is because
like hunchback was fuckinghorrible, like traumatizing.

Sara (03:45):
yes.
I look at it this way.
Game of Thrones is traumatizing,but most of game of Thrones is
good.
Whereas.

Chrissy (03:52):
I would say half of game of Thrones is good.

Sara (03:56):
I would say like five sevenths of game of Thrones is
good.
but bolt zero sevenths.
Good.

Chrissy (04:03):
I'd give it three sevenths.

It was mediocre.
Like it wasn't great.
And it wasn't awful.
It was unmemorable.

Sara (04:12):
Exactly.
It was boring, at least withhunchback.
Like I was horrified, But I wasentertained,

Chrissy (04:19):
But I was also bored by Hercules and I love Hercules.

Sara (04:23):
yeah.
And we were a little bored by Leand stitch.
And I've seen that like 8,000times though.

Chrissy (04:27):
I did not like Lilo and stitch very much either.
Like I would put Bolton, Liloand stitch in the same category.

Sara (04:34):

I do not regret what I just said.

Sara (04:37):

well after you've said all the wrong things.
What do you think is the moviethat surprised you?

Chrissy (04:59):
I think dinosaur surprised me the most because I
was not expecting.
Anything.
I was expecting what I got outof bolt from dinosaur, and I
actually enjoyed dinosaur morethan I thought I would.

Sara (05:13):
Yeah, dinosaur bored the shit outta me.

Chrissy (05:14):
I didn't love dinosaur Like I'm not super, but I was
impressed by it.
I thought it was beautifullydone.

Sara (05:21):
It was, it is a very pretty movie.

Chrissy (05:23):
I, loved the opening and, and that set me up for
enjoying it, no matter whathappened.

Sara (05:29):

What surprised you?

Sara (05:32):
Fantasia surprised me.
I really enjoyed it.
I had a lot of fun watchingthat.
I still have yet to enjoy itpost gummy, but I mean, I've got
a whole break in the season todo that

Chrissy (05:43):
I kind of wanna do that too.
Maybe we should do that togetheras a side side quest.

If I did not have like a deep loathing for James Woods, I

Like they did with.
Robin Williams, not doing theAladdin series and they got
someone else to play Janie andit just wasn't as good.

I wanna say little mermaid, but really like, I

to, and Disney will probablysteal this idea and then not pay

I wish I was like crafty enoughand had enough hustle in me to
do that.

So if you were hanging out inthe parks, which character would
you wanna meet?

Sara (09:26):
So you've got like characters that are already
there that we know we can meet.
So like, I love getting to seeAriel.
I would like to go hang out withAriel, but I also like the idea
of thinking of like a characterthat is not in the parks.
Or not typically in the parks.
And I think I would have to gowith I'm stalling and making a
really long sentence.

I'm pretty sure that Meg does meet in the parks, but
I've never met her.
Same with Hades.

Sara (09:52):

Not like direct to D V D sequel,but a like toy story.

Well, I was literally thinking about this and I was
like, almost all of these havedirect to DVD sequels um, I
mean, bolt doesn't, but I don'treally wanna see a sequel of
bolt.

Sara (10:37):

should have been direct to DVD.

Chrissy (10:39):
I won't argue with you there, but I would like to see
Hercules and Meg, the movie.

Sara (10:45):
that would be interesting.

Cuz Turkey has now chosen to bemortal and is on earth with Meg
and like.
What are they doing?
Are they shopping for furniturein like some Greek market and
getting a cute little apartmentin like downtown THS or
something

I love the end where they'reshowing all the snapshots of
like their travels and littleadventures and stuff.
I want that movie where like,they are a blended family with
Jamba and Bleakley and likehaving Christmas together and
stuff like,

I would totally watch Christmas with Jamba UN bleakly,

My favorite voice, down, Jody Benson.

Hands down for me, Eleanor, Audley She is my Fave.

respect to pat Carol, the voiceof Ursula who is no longer with

I wanna pick the rescuers so Ican get to the rescuers down
under, because I wanna talkabout everyone's true.

I don't remember watching the rescuers down

I really wanna pull because Iwanna watch it.

That's gonna be like epic.
I mean, it's either gonna beterrible or amazing.
I don't know.

I have sought that movie out since I was a like child,
child.
Nine 10 years old.
I want that movie.
It's going to be awful.

it's gonna be really fun to see how it compares to
hunchback.
Cuz I've heard it's real dark
