(00:20):
Hello, Oratians.
Yes, you guessed it.
Today was the day.
So you're listening to MusicElixir with me, Sara Shi, and
Ms.
Did you panic.
And we are, this is like oursecond time doing this.
We've watched the final Arashiconcert the second time around
(00:41):
now.
And uh went straight intorecording because we didn't know
what else to do with ourselves.
I know.
We need to talk about this.
This is huge.
Yes.
Yes, yes, yes.
If this is your first timelistening to the Music Elixir
episode, today we are talkingabout Arashi's just final
(01:03):
concert.
Yep, the We Are Arashi 2026.
Yep.
Today was the final show.
Yeah.
Tokyo Dome.
Yeah.
We're recording on May 31st.
Which astrologically is fullmoon.
It's a blue moon.
So I know the whole, you know, galactical thing, you know, when
(01:24):
it comes to Arashi and us aswell.
And when I put that on my astralplanner, one of our many, you
know, our Asian friends sent usuh we had these stickers that
they made and they sent it tous.
There was one mini one that Ihave not used yet because I was
like, I'm gonna hold on to thisone.
It's like RS yeah, it's Rashibut in like in cartoon form.
(01:47):
Oh yeah, yeah.
And I'm like, I'm not using thisone yet.
And I and we had these for wow afew years now.
Since since the yeah, since thepandemic.
So I was I I have whole I'vebeen holding to this little
sticker of the five members.
And I posted it on my you knowplanner.
Oh so it's there.
(02:08):
RSH.
We are RSH 2026.
I was like, oh this is perfectfor that.
So I definitely something toldme it was like, do not use the
sticker yet.
There will be a a you know apurpose for it.
Yeah, I have mine in a specialsticker book that you can take
them out of.
Like it's sort of a plastickypage, so you can read them.
(02:29):
Yeah.
So that's where I put them inthere for safekeeping because I
didn't want to lose them orcrunch them up or something.
So they've been in there.
But that's a good idea.
So yeah, it's like marking rightthere.
It's it's my astro planner.
I'm not gonna I'm also using itkind of like they call like junk
journals which you write thingsand to rememorize.
(02:53):
You can put stickers on it.
So yeah, that one.
So I'm still working on thatdate, you know, putting like
colors and whatever.
So, you know, use it to likegratitude, thank you, Archie,
for 26 years.
Yeah.
Wow.
Wow.
Exactly.
Twenty-six and a half, it'salmost twenty-seven.
(03:15):
Almost.
So that's if you have beenlistening last year, where we
were like, they ain't coming tothe US.
Nope.
They're gonna do their last tourin Japan, only solemnly in
Japan.
We were like hoping for atleast, hey, international fans,
we have tickets for you.
(03:35):
That didn't happen, but thenalso we were saying, please
stream it.
You have to stream it.
Yes, has to be streamed.
It's not the first time theyhave made a major stream,
especially before that last oneon December 30.
31st, no, 25th.
It was New Year's.
Yeah.
So and that was global, so it'slike, yeah, and you guys made it
(03:57):
already.
So it's doable.
Come on.
Well, they did they'd done italso for their RFS, and all of
this was you know duringpandemic, so there were no real
people in the audience for them.
So this was like they're closingthe chapter, and I'm so glad
they did it.
Yeah, I'm really glad that theywere all on board for it.
And it was like I'm I'msuffering a little from like
(04:21):
post-concert amnesia.
Like I'm remembering bits andpieces when we were sort of
chit-chatting before we startedthis, you know, just about what
songs.
When did you start crying?
When did you I was like, I don'tso we were not together for this
one.
I was no, Sarah was with hersister watching over there, and
(04:41):
I was at my house.
And uh, but I'm like, I need totext her a few things because
I'm like so excited for this onebecause this is just crazy.
But we can talk about it now.
Yes, of course, our she'sstarting it very with the
countdown and things thathappen, and of course, they also
share with us what clips of thebirthdays that they had, which
(05:05):
that was cool.
They started with Nino'sbirthday.
Yes, that's when they startedthe whole thing about like we're
coming back.
Well, they'd uh teased it in Mayof last year and were like, you
know, this is what's going on,and then they were doing yeah,
content for the fan club, sostarting with Nino's birthday
right afterwards, and it's likeoh I we didn't get to see them.
(05:28):
You needed to be part of the fanclub.
Fan club, yeah.
So we well, we got like little10-second clips that they post
and say, This is what's goingon.
Yeah, and we're like, huh how amI gonna learn Japanese if you're
not actually showing the wholething?
I wanna learn.
Anyways, but you know that thoseclips were so cool.
(05:50):
It was cute, yeah.
It was so cute, just seeing themall together, it was just just
so cute.
But of course, how it startedvery galactical, very like
they're galaxy, they're just auniverse themselves, and with
love rainbow, that whole thingin the back, big old rainbow.
I'm like, yo, I'm like, oh mygod, here we go.
(06:13):
And of course, it's loverainbow, and everybody's just
like I love the pen lights, yo,that was so colorful, and also
they used the graphics used withthe pen lights.
I was like, wow, I know thatit's amazing.
They've been doing that foryears, but this was like insane
(06:34):
to see from the angles they wereshowing.
Yes, it was like wow, justdrones.
They were using drones too.
Yeah, I was like, wow, this isso cool.
It it's yeah, there will be ifyou if you bought the live
stream, you will be seeing itagain.
We can't wait to see it again.
I know, and apparently it'sactually gonna be dubbed in five
languages.
(06:55):
Awesome.
So we can't wait for that.
Even though we know a little bitof Japanese, we don't even get
everything.
Not no, and of course, whenyou're so emotional, invested,
it's you just like you know, anyways.
I don't know if we should weshould we start with like some
of our favorites and what we gotemotional because you and I got
(07:17):
emotional at one particularsong, and it was just the fit
this the sixth song into theplaylist.
Well, I think is like I startedso excited, yeah, like the
energy was exciting becauseKotaba Yori Tetsetsu Namono.
I probably said that all wrong, but I remember that I was
(07:38):
picturing the video in my head, and I believe it was a song used
for one of Nino's dramasstand-up, but like it's such an
high-energy song, yeah, right.
And then they did Lucky Man.
I was like, oh my god, this islike from baby Arashi.
Like I and again, I was seeinglike the video.
Yep, they were so so young andso sassy, so that was exciting.
(08:02):
They did my song Troublemaker,Believe, which they had a
cartoon video for, but yeah, song number six.
Yep.
The minute it started, yep, Iwas like, oh my god, I'm gonna
cry.
I'm gonna cry.
Yeah.
Me too.
I was like, oh no, really, already with the waterworks, but
(08:23):
of course, you know, it's justthe way they sang it, and it's
all in English.
Oh, we're talking about wheneveryou call.
And it was their song to thefans at the time, yeah.
You know, saying, We'll alwaysbe here whenever you call.
Oh my and yeah, I just I lost itbecause I was like, This is the
last time we're gonna hear this, yeah.
(08:46):
The last time we're gonna seethem doing this.
I'm already crying, and this isthe song that was supposed to be
sang to us when they were comingto America.
America.
Yes, that was exactly what Ithink.
Like, you know, I was like, thisis what we got chipped out of.
(09:07):
They were, you know, so gearingup to come to the US and sing
the songs, you know.
Hello, Bruno Mars, help thesong.
That's just oh my god.
Even June was like, I want BrunoMars.
I was like, what?
And they're like, okay, we'llmake it possible.
Yeah, this was them, they weregearing up with all the remixes
(09:29):
and the you know, gettingeverything together, coming over
here, checking stuff out, andthen yeah, yeah, that's we will
never forgive 2020.
No.
So I started to cry with thatsong because oh my god, just
hearing it live is hit sodifferently.
It hits differently.
Oh my god, Nino.
(09:52):
Nino, yo, he did this Nino onthis in this concert, just it it
hit my heart hard.
Was seeing Ayybatoon, I'm like,Ai Batun, you're my bias.
But Nino's voice is just likecompletely different in this.
I don't know.
Uh everybody's mood wasdifferent, but everybody's voice
just hit differently.
(10:12):
Yes, well today, you know.
Well, live it hits differentanyways, you know.
You're just and wow.
I did my waterworks didn't stopafter whenever I call because
then Kaito, Kaito started, andI'm like, okay, now I'm lost.
I was just ugly crying at thispoint.
I was just ugly crying, and I'mlike, oh my god.
(10:33):
I'm like, no way, my heart, Ican't deal with this.
I know because that one's sobeautiful and touching as well.
Yeah, no, it's I did definitelycry for those whole two songs.
I was like the composition ofthat song, and of course, uh
Nino's part of that one.
(10:53):
Oh, it's the strings,everything.
The harmonizing, yeah.
It was just it's so emotional,so powerful.
Yeah, I was like I said, I wasugly crying.
And I was like, oh my god, youguys gotta sing something else
after that because I can't, Ican't with this.
Well, I was gonna say, that'sone of those songs.
If you heard a few episodes agoor a couple of episodes ago, we
(11:16):
were talking about music and howit touches you and whatnot.
That's one of the ones thatmakes me cry even before this
final concert.
Like, there was just somethingabout it that's so
overwhelmingly beautiful, yeah, that I just I cry every time I
hear it anyway.
So following up whenever youcall with kite was just like
(11:37):
you're trying to wreck us.
Yeah.
I was like, oh my god, thisconcert just started and I'm
already balling.
Right?
Well, because yeah, the energy, like I said, it was so fun and
some of their older stuff andthe energy, and then they
started that.
I was like, no, it's too soon.
It's too soon to cry.
Yeah, I was just like, oh mygod, this is so crazy.
(11:59):
Why is it already when you saidI started one of you?
I'm like, okay, so I was not theonly one.
Yay, did it feel the same?
Nope.
I heard those couple firstwavery doot doot do do notes,
and I was like, Yeah, oh no.
Yeah.
Here it comes.
I'm gonna cry.
And then after cat, it was onelove, and I'm like, okay, I can
(12:19):
feel a little bit better.
Okay, coming down, coming down, and then yes, no, oh, I love
that.
I don't I don't know if Iremember telling you about this.
The the very first concert Iever watched was this song, like
in the concert.
Yeah, and I was like, This is myband.
(12:40):
I love this song.
I was so happy they sing theythey sang some that I was like,
whoa, I don't think I ever heardthat on a concert, but you know,
but if you yeah, I was like, wow, I'm surprised about this
one, and I'm like, oh my god, okay, go ahead.
So I was I was like, you know,oh, they're doing the
choreography, and that'sawesome, and it's so cool.
I'm like reminiscing about thethe first time I saw this, and
(13:03):
when the the music break happensand they busted out the glow in
the dark, twirly, whatever thosethe streamers were like I was
like, they're recreating thatfirst time they did it.
I was just like, oh my god, Iwas thinking June is like, we
gotta do this.
Why do I have a feeling June'slike, we're gonna be doing this?
Everybody out with it.
I was like, wow, he's reallymaking them do all this stuff.
(13:26):
Well, I was like, I was like,Rachel, it's like the first time
we saw it.
She's like, Oh my god, it's sogood.
I was I was jumping up and down.
I was so excited about it.
I when I saw that, I was like,wow.
Right.
It's like June is like, this isour last time we're doing it.
(13:47):
Well, Iba picked this as one ofhis favorite all-time songs to
do.
Oh my god.
You know, it's so Iba.
Well, remember they theyreleased that that um digital
playlist a couple weeks ago ofyes, they each picked two of
their favorite songs, and Ibapicked that one.
I was like, oh, thank you, Iba.
(14:08):
He's my extra man.
Come on.
But like I said, those glow inthe dark things, and the I was
like, they're doing it.
Yes, that was so cool.
I was like, yes, okay, tears goaway.
I'm just gonna be having funright now.
Yeah, it just makes you happy.
They guys are like, yeah, sorry, like rip your heart out.
(14:29):
Here you go.
Let's have some fun now.
Yay! Oh my god.
So that was that that was somuch fun.
It was so much fun.
I was like, oh my god, just outof nowhere.
It's it's seeing them is justwell when they all tossed the
little streamer things aside, you could see them all sort of
smirking inside.
(14:49):
Like, I think it brought themback too.
They were like, oh yeah, thosewere the days.
Remember when we had to do this?
Yeah, let's go for it.
Then it was like uh Bokuga Bokuno sube te uh Sayonara no atode,
then Tsu Sunago.
Sunagu.
That's from um Onos.
(15:12):
That period drama that he did.
Very cool.
And that's another one of myfavorite songs.
I think that was on his list offavorites.
It's so cool because it's likesuch a random sounding song.
It's kind of country, kindaclassic, kind of great movement,
and I loved they did thechoreography from like the
(15:35):
actual video they did of it.
Yeah.
So that was cool.
I like that on one port theywere doing like the like the
camera angles when they weredoing their their part in the
background.
You see them.
I was like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
The that is so cool.
The screens.
Everybody got this one.
Don't forget to stand here so wecan get that, you know.
(15:58):
This is the last one, you know.
But then, oh girl.
I was just like, I got sideswiped when it was what paradox?
Paradox, yeah.
Yo, and this was just like we'rediffering, totally different.
They did like a paradox remix.
I wanna hear this.
(16:20):
They need to release this remix, not only for the last you know,
concert.
Yo, that was pretty primal.
Yeah, uh the fire, the water, water, and it's just like
somebody they're dancing onRashi's tears, Arishan tears, or
something, or they're on sweat.
Let me tell you, June wassweating like quickly.
(16:42):
They uh oh, all of them arelike, I was like, whoa, June's
getting sweaty quickly, becauseusually Iba, you see him already
like drenched.
But this time for some reason,June was the one that was like,
oh, it was like whoa.
So they probably enjoyed the thesplashing around in the water,
they were having fun with that, but yeah, the the water, the
flames, the fire.
Yeah, it was insane.
(17:03):
I was like incredible,incredible.
They brought some of thejuniors, which they introduced
them later on, yeah, yeah, withthe showing their names on the
when did I this seat?
Uh I th oh yeah.
So after Carnival Night, becauseof course after Paradox, yep,
you gotta have another upbeatkind of song.
(17:23):
You cannot just leave it there, you know?
Yeah, need to lower us gentlydown from that.
Exactly.
We're still gonna be dancing, but we're not gonna be like too
cray cray, and um that's whenthey actually introduced uh the
juniors, which um I wrote down.
We have ACs, Kansai Junior, andTokyo Junior.
(17:46):
So looking forward to these newgroups.
Yeah, let's see.
Well, I don't think that's thename of their groups, it's just
probably just like the the sets, yeah.
Yeah, um pool of kids they'repicking from.
AC's is an actual group, withwhat I remember looking into it.
So hopefully the next day beautygroup.
Yeah, that could be.
(18:07):
Let's find out.
You know what was really cutethough is you could see whenever
they focused on like one of themembers and you'd see the
juniors behind them.
Yep.
All of them were singing along.
Yes, it was so cute.
They were I was like, they'resinging it too.
That's it.
They don't have mics on, butthey're singing.
It's like singing alone.
Because you can't help it.
(18:28):
And I love Carnival Night withthey're doing their little keep
on dancing.
Oh my god.
Yeah, it that was that was somuch fun.
And that was one of show'spicks.
I was surprised by thatactually.
I'm like, really?
Really?
(18:48):
Like, show?
Because there's no rapping init.
Maybe that's why.
Could be more of a party, because it is a party song.
It is, absolutely.
You know, it's it's more of a uha party song, and that's one I
think I don't know.
I think they've done that inevery concert they've done.
I'm not sure, but I think so.
Orations will let us know.
(19:10):
Yes.
Um, then after that it was what?
Um the energy song.
Energy song, yes.
That was another a B song.
And then the MC.
That's when it after that song, they're like, okay, we gotta,
you know, cool off and whatever, and change outfits.
Change, yep.
Good.
He did change five times theiroutfits.
(19:32):
Oh, I can't even remember.
Because it was just all of asudden I'd be like, oh, I really
like that outfit.
When did that happen?
Because first it was just kindof like the suits with the
sparklys, you know, they wereall the olkle.
They all sparkle.
There was like no everybody wasshining.
Yeah, yeah.
In some time of material.
There was one outfit costumesthat they wore, it was silver
(19:53):
metallic with the black and theneon.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, those were nice.
Those were my favorite.
I love those.
And of course, Iba was with thebig balloony pants.
With the straps hanging off.
But everybody looked good inthem.
I'm like, oh yeah, absolutely.
Yes.
Yeah, those first suits weresort of just plain, tame, sort
(20:14):
of, you know, nothing too tooflashy.
No.
They always have sequins andsparkles, but like the the
outfits themselves were prettylow-key.
But yeah, those black and neonand stuff, those were wild.
Okay, here we go.
I brought down that on the thesube after the subetes, no
(20:35):
subete song, that's where theybore the metallic black outfits.
So that's change number two.
Okay.
Or change number one.
They had the one and then theychanged that to those metallic
ones.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, because I I wanted to keeptrack because I was like, how
many times are you gonna change?
Because I was like, wow.
Oh, they treat a lot.
That's a lot of change.
(20:56):
Frequently.
But I like that uh that the uhwhat was it?
They did like uh rock, paper, scissors to see which ones were
gonna go change first.
Yeah, who who stays here to talkand who goes.
Yeah, that was cute.
My sister was like, Oh, theythey blew out Ono's hair again.
Yeah, get the sweat out, dry itup.
(21:16):
Everybody come back all free,refreshed.
You know, touch up on themakeup, get the sweat off your
hair.
I know everybody come back alllike pristine, like nothing
happened.
Well, I mean it it's his hair,Ono's hair defies the laws of
nature.
It's because even when they wereall sweaty and they'd been
(21:37):
splashing in the water, it wasstill poofed up.
It's just they went and went andgave it a little touch up, you
know, drying it up and alwaysstill stayed 'cause I told you
in Hawaii we that downpour ittook forever for his hair to
finally start to fly.
It had been pouring over likehalf an hour before his hair
(21:58):
started to tilt a little.
So what do you think of Nino'sperm?
He's done that before.
I looked at him and I'm like, isthat where Fuma got it from?
Or is it or was it reverse?
Or did Nino's just like I thinkI'm gonna get a perm.
I th I think he wanted his hairto look nice and full for the
show.
Yeah.
You know, with the perm it'llstay poofier longer.
(22:18):
Yeah.
But I I like that Fuma's beenwearing it.
Yes.
I know, let's not talk aboutFuma.
But anyways, I just wanted tothink who wore it first.
Fuma.
Nino.
Oh, definitely Nino, becausehe's had perms before.
Yeah.
But I was like, oh, you're notgonna perm.
Nice.
Looks so nice.
You know, they they all kind ofwent back to their old haircuts
(22:40):
or some of the older.
Of course, June, his haircutshave evolved through all the
eras.
It's always different for him.
Yeah, he's he never had likelike you know, Ono has that, you
know, that one for for as muchas Ono's hair is always the
same, June's is alwaysdifferent.
It's always different.
I was been, you know, man, Iguess when they have the earlier
(23:03):
eras, everybody had a differenthaircut, but then at a certain
era, they're like, okay, now I'mstaying with this haircut.
Yeah.
You know, like because I was hadthat.
I was always had that, yeah, forquite some time now.
But uh remember the hose hair?
Yeah, everybody had that.
Oh yeah.
Even Ono had the hose hair for avery brief amount of time.
What I was just thinking, Ithink at a certain age, they're
(23:24):
like, you know what?
I'm done with that.
I'm just gonna do whatever Iwant.
Yeah, it was like after thedebut, Ono stopped with that
hair and went to the the short, spiky, and he never looked back.
Yeah.
So let's see what all thosesongs that were like, oh yeah,
oh yeah.
Well, before that they did umsketch sitting around that
(23:46):
fireplace.
Like they had the fire pit, likethey were just hanging out on
stage there.
Is that when was that?
After energy song, and I thinkafter they talked.
This is what I'm saying.
I've got like I know, I rememberwhen is the fireplace one?
I believe that was for sketchbefore they they hopped back up
and got into the uh high energystuff.
(24:09):
Okay.
Alright, so yeah, you wereright, it was on uh sketch.
It was oh, that was so awesome, right?
It was it was like they werejust hanging around the campfire
trading stories about life, andI don't know, it was such a
really cool, like personalmoment for them, even though
there was an audience ofthousands, millions, even if you
(24:30):
count all the live streaming.
I love the way that the stagewas actually um made.
They were all sitting downaround this giant campfire, you
know.
It was like wow, and of course, the surrounding, even with the
fans with their pen lights, itwas giving that warm glow.
(24:53):
I was like, oh my god, that isjust like so like sweet.
Well, like a summer night, calming and like just chilling
out, just chilling out withOdashi.
I was like, oh, this is soawesome.
For us, it would be likemillions of fireflies out behind
them as they sit around theircampfire.
Yeah, it was so cool.
Yeah, it was that feels so good.
(25:14):
Mm-hmm.
It was nice, very calming, yeah.
Relaxing, calming, a good littleinterlude.
Yes, before we got which Iappreciate because they put me
through emotional roller coasterhere, you know.
You hype you up, and then I wascrying like a freak ugly cry and
then happy again, we're dancingand whatever, and then they're
(25:36):
making you laugh, and I waslike, oh, okay.
Thank you for the pause becausethat was just too much.
You know?
Oh, all those songs that likeguts came out.
I mean, there was other songs.
Um, what was your next one?
There was oh yeah, oh yeah.
Yeah, with arm waving.
Yes, it's like now we're gonnawork out.
(25:57):
Get up, everybody.
We gotta get up again.
Well, and this was this whilethey were up in their balloons,
right?
Oh, I wrote no.
I forgot to write down wherewere they up in the balloons?
Because I think it is, because Iremember they were doing I love
um after Oh Yeah was Hadashi noMurai.
Yeah.
And I love the choreo for that.
(26:20):
The choreo is so awesome, andthey couldn't really do it
because everybody was hanging onfor hanging on for the life.
They're like, I'm in my balloon.
Iba was sort of doing it alittle in Ono.
You know, you'd see everybody dolike a hand movement or
something once in a while, butthat's that's like such a fun
song.
(26:40):
So fun.
So I wish I wish they'd done thechoreography for it, but they
needed to be up and rotatingaround the stadium so everybody
could see them.
So I understand, you know.
Junice's like, we gotta get upon them balloons.
And show's like, This is thelast time I'm gonna be on this
thing.
(27:00):
The last time I'm gonna do this.
He's yeah, he's I think theleast enthused about the flying
things that they have to do.
He's always tell when he wassinging, he wasn't he was not
looking down at all.
He was just looking straightwith this face that's like and
then waving and whatever.
He's not looking down fornothing.
(27:21):
Nothing.
Nope.
Everybody else is just veryrelaxed, moving around, you
know, just waving.
I but doing his lean out overthings, and nobody was there to
pull him back and be like, Stopdoing that.
No, even Ono sort of leaned overand waved to people.
Yeah, and he was looking down, like he was waving down a Nino
(27:42):
too, like waving down, hey, notshow.
Joe was just looking up, I'm notlooking down, looking up.
It's like I don't like it.
I feel, I feel for show becauseI'd have been like, are you
crazy?
I know, I'm not getting it.
No, I know, I'm with him.
I was like, no, not doing that.
(28:03):
Are you crazy?
This is insane.
Come on, it's the last time.
So then it was like Hatanaisoda, right?
Uh a day in the in uh in ourlife.
I love that one.
That's another baby outershipsong.
There's so it's always been oneof my favorites because that's
(28:27):
another one where they harmonizeso well.
Yes.
And the the different sounds ofthe the song, the raps, and then
the overlay of the harmonies andjust beautiful, love it.
And Ono did his little whoa atthe end of it.
Yeah.
Oh my god, his voice is soawesome.
I know, right?
(28:48):
Um like when he was when I wasevery time I was hearing his
parts where he really startedbelting out, you know.
I'm just like, Oh no, I knowyou're done with the music
industry, but we'll love to hearyou once in a while do a song.
Definitely.
You know, so it's like be anInca singer.
He could, he could totally doit.
(29:08):
But he just, you know, we knowvery well that he's like, I'm
done with this, and I know thewind is not.
But uh but what's awesome, right, is he didn't hold back.
He didn't this was like everyperformance they've ever done.
Yeah, he's just he gave it hisall.
Yeah.
You know, a lot of people whenyou know you're coming towards
the end of things, you sort ofphone it in a little sometimes.
(29:28):
Yeah, not him.
Nope.
He kept it going the whole time.
Yeah.
And oh I'm gonna miss him.
Hey, they pepped it up withguts.
I was doing the hand thing.
Yeah, me too.
Like the whole baseball thingand the finger wave to the
center.
(29:50):
Yeah.
Remember when they did theeverybody, we gotta you know,
rehearse.
You gotta do this with us.
Yeah, they wanted everybody todo the choreo.
Yeah, that was so cool.
I remembered, I remembered.
I was like, yeah, I was like,da-da-da-da-da-da.
That was so cool.
It was, that was awesome.
That was so cool, and then itwas what?
Oh, when it went all blank, andI was hearing this TikToks, and
(30:13):
I'm like, this gotta be monsterbecause I see the clocks, the
all those watches coming up, andI'm like, it's gotta be a
monster.
It just has to, it just has tobe it, and yep.
It was, yes.
I was like, Yeah, yes, oh, thatwas so awesome.
I love that song.
Had like the pendulum behindthem swinging, and then they
(30:35):
went back to the clocks at theend.
Oh yeah, love that song, lovethat song, and of course, after
that, yo, I was like, Yes, youhave to, because it's just like
I don't know, it's a pair withmonster, you have to bring
truth.
Truth, yeah, oh yeah,absolutely.
It's like it has to be the and Iwas like, Yes, oh my god,
awesome.
And I'm like, can and I'm likethinking, okay, I hope there's
(30:57):
another favorite of mine that isthey're gonna play.
But it did later on.
But then after truth, it was uhwhat make you love song, yeah.
Love song, yeah, make you lovesong.
Okay, that's the translation.
I I don't know how to say thatyou rabu song.
Oh song.
(31:18):
Um then it was like Wairo,Wairoudo A To Hato, Wild at
Heart.
Oh, okay.
That I I love that one.
That's the one, um, if I'mremembering correctly, they had
the old-fashioned microphonesand they were singing.
Yeah.
And looking out like they hadfor the video.
(31:39):
Yeah.
I'm remembering, you know, backto the that's what that's what
had me all like, oh, I love thatsong.
So after Guts, because on eachone they started doing like
bringing they took a breakbecause they were like showing
their birthdays.
Forgot which birthday was it,but when they came back to sing
monster, they changed thecostumes.
(31:59):
It was still metallic, but itwas different colors.
Yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I was like, so that's theother and a couple of them had
the big flower.
Can never escape those bigflowers.
Well, sparkly.
No.
Oh, oh no, that was the lastcostume.
Uh yeah, these were the oneswith little embellishments.
Yes, it was still kind ofmetallic material, but it was
(32:21):
different colors, not like thesilver, like the other one.
Right.
And this in some of the stuff onthe it reminded me of like cake
frosting, the littleembellishments they had.
They were sparkly and yeah, itwas like little florets on a
couple of them.
Okay.
Okay.
I'm trying, yeah.
Yeah, because I said I'm havingI'm having that like, wait,
(32:41):
which costumes?
I'm crossing my my brain cells.
Yeah.
Because yeah, it was the lastone that had those flowers.
But um, that was me.
For once it was you and not me.
So after that, uh, what do wehave to wild at heart, wild at
(33:02):
heart, step and step and go?
I was like, Yeah, that's myfavorite.
I love that one.
We're gonna step and go.
And then I'm like, are theygonna sing drive?
Because that's another one of myfavorites.
Because it's like step and goand drag kind of co go, yeah.
But they didn't.
That was fine, but at least atleast they did step and go
because I love that one.
(33:23):
And they had kicks, and while mysister's like, oh my god, Nino
and the cape, Nino and the Cape.
Like I said, we we connecteverything to the videos they
did when they were younger, andNino had this big flowing shirt
cape thing that he was like thewhole video sort of in slow-mo
as they're doing things, so he'slike twirling around with it.
(33:45):
She's like, the cape, the cape.
The cape.
That would have been cool ifthey could have brought some of
the older outfits, but thatwould be cool.
That would be cool.
Yeah, and then that love sosweet.
Mm-hmm.
And everybody, I'm sure somepeople were crying.
Yeah, no, it's definitelybecause that's from uh June's
(34:06):
big drama.
Yeah, and that's when they didanother custom chain.
This is the one with the what Icall it, the corsage.
You know, they were like, it wascake frosting candle outfits.
Like wedding cake canoe type.
Which works.
I know.
It was like the cream colorswith you know, browns and yeah,
that was really nice.
(34:27):
Really nice suits.
You know the blings everywhere.
I wondered they used they sortof all complemented each other.
You know, June's pants matchedOno's jacket, and Iba's pants
matched Nino's jacket, and thenshow had stripes.
I don't know.
He was the standalone, but itworked, it fit with the other
outfits.
(34:47):
It did, it did very, reallywell.
It was just so nice, you know.
They had yeah, the brown and andthe black and you know, very
bold, and no, it's likeoff-white.
Yeah, it was really nice, andnow I guess call it lap flower
on their lapels, the corsasses.
I just want to call it acorsage.
Oh, and then uh pickanchindouble, yeah.
(35:11):
Oh yeah, yeah, and then uh mygirl, and of course they gotta
sing arashi.
Yes, absolutely.
That's where it all started.
It had to do arashi.
Then they it was the theoverjoyed with gratitude, kancha
kan keke ame arashi.
Yeah, as I like to call it,smile again.
(35:32):
Yeah, that's a smile again.
And that's when I startedcrying.
Yo, my eyes out.
I was like, oh, it's my song, and this means it's the end of
the show.
That's a I know it's likeending.
It's like that's these are alltheir fate, you know, like
people's favorites.
You know, Stepan goes, especially love so sweet.
(35:55):
When you hear love so sweet, you're um you're like, okay,
this is ending.
I don't want to end.
Why are they singing the songnow?
It's just like it feels likeit's the ending.
Um, of course.
Happiness.
My sister was so excited afterwe cried.
Yeah, we were like, oh yay, happiness.
Uh to not completely leave uslike devastated.
(36:18):
Exactly.
Let's do the happiness, andthat's when they all started.
The music kind of slows down, but it's still happiness in the
background, but in piano mode, which is makes it more like what
heartbreaking.
Oh, do what this too.
I'm like, oh no.
Yeah, it's a whole differentfeeling.
You're like, this is thebittersweet happiness.
(36:40):
Like God, this is so like, yeah,so they all did their their
thank yous and their farewells.
June started with his speechfirst.
The man was holding his tears.
Was he really trying to hold?
And I'm like, no, June, this isthe time you cry.
Because every time you alwayshold your tears, you're always
(37:00):
like nonchalantly, like, oh,people can, you know, no.
We want you, I wanted him tocry.
Well, I wanted him to cry.
He was holding tears, like todear God, he's like, I am not
gonna break down.
Well, he's not gonna break down.
He's always been like that.
Like, I gotta be strong.
I gotta be strong.
But I mean, there was a pointthat he couldn't because his
voice was cracking.
(37:21):
I'm like, yes, waterworks.
Come on, June.
Give me the other, the ugly cry.
I wanna see this.
You're so mean.
I want you to cry.
I don't want the acting cry.
I want the ugly cry of rail.
But he really like like hereally hold on.
(37:43):
But I was like, okay, here wego.
He's like, no, he didn't.
I'm like, okay, whatever.
Fine.
Ugly cry in the background whenit's dark, fine, I'll see you.
Yeah.
But you know, it just was like, you know, because he knows, you
know, he poured his heart andsoul to the group.
The concert, hello.
Yeah, producing every likegetting all that stuff together
(38:06):
and creating all these visualideas, you know, just amazing
visuals for us to enjoy.
You know, wow.
Yeah, he Yeah.
And then it's like, okay, herecomes Nino.
I like Nino's speech.
You know, he he was uh he wascalm, collected, but he still
(38:26):
feel like, yeah, you know, likethis I know this very gracious,
you know, gratitude toeverybody.
And well he was he was actuallyI I caught some of what he was
talking about.
He was talking about when hestarted.
Like from the very beginning, his I think he was saying his
parents paid him to go try outbecause he was spending so much
(38:47):
time playing baseball.
Like I could be wrong, but itthere was something about him
playing baseball, his parentsgiving him some money to I do
remember he's saying Johnny shyou know Johnny a lot.
He was saying that name a lot.
I'm like, okay, and I'm like, okay, so he's talking about his
junior years.
Yeah, starting out and andworking their way up not knowing
(39:08):
whether they were gonna to getanywhere.
So it was yeah.
He was sort of reminiscing andsaying, these how much this, you
know, has just been his life.
Like all of them.
They've spent more time beingIrishy than just being
individuals, you know what Imean?
Yeah.
So but yeah, he was verygracious.
(39:29):
And he was another one tryinglike you could see he was his
eyes were red and puffy, but hewas he was able to talk through
it.
Right.
He was like he kept himself selfcalm, composed, yeah.
But he was very serious.
Oh, yeah, he was just like likehe you can find not our sassy
wise ass Nino.
(39:50):
He was no being very sincere, and yeah, yeah, it was awesome,
yeah.
And then it was I but forget it.
I was gonna say the first of ourcriers.
Just when he got to thespotlight, it's just like I know
I was like, he's he's not gonnabe able to do his speech.
(40:11):
No, he was already looking athim, you were like, he's just
gonna stand there and cry.
I'm like, nah, oh my god.
That's when I started to uglycrying again.
And he was like crying, and he'slike trying to talk, and he's
like every time he talked, itwas like cracked in his voice,
like and I'm crying because itwas I and I'm like, of course, I
(40:34):
might go.
Oh my god, I love you so much.
Yeah, but you know, he was againso sweet.
And he was saying today a lotbecause I heard that word a lot.
I'm like, uh all I know istoday, today, today.
Okay.
Yeah, I think I think he wasanother one reminiscing about
(40:55):
like it was tough in thebeginning and getting in trouble
a lot, like not knowing wherethey were gonna be, and finally
getting their breakthrough, andall of them so grateful to the
fans and to everyone supportingthem, their families and
everything.
So yeah.
But he he made me cry.
(41:16):
He made me cry a lot because Iwas like, look at him.
Iba always cries, and I can'thelp but cry with him.
And you you hear the people inthe background, I know Iba, that
will be me.
Oh I thought that they weregonna leave Ono towards the end,
but no, he was next after Aiba.
(41:36):
Well, because he's the othercrier, and they were like, We
can't leave.
No, it's we can't leave inabsolute breakdown tears.
I was just like, oh no, I'mgonna do another ugly cry.
This is this is like Ono.
The speech was like, wow.
Well, his voice cracked too, youknow.
Oh yeah, he was just like in theway they bowed to the audience
(41:58):
and bowed to the members, yeah, and was like, you know, oh he
but yeah, he was another one.
I was like, they put the twocriers together, yeah, one after
the other.
It was good.
Like when he was tr starting tospeak and his voice, same thing,
cracked.
Yeah, and he was like barelyable to get out what he was
(42:19):
saying, yeah.
Had to compose himself and butyeah, oh my rip your heart out.
I was like, I'm sure Sarah'sgonna be crying.
I was, I was.
I was like, I was like cray.
Yeah, I was crying too, becauseI was like, you know how oh no,
you're free.
You're free now.
Well, he would say somethingabout you know going on with
(42:41):
life now.
Yeah.
Like be me now.
I'm moving on to me.
Yeah.
But he was grateful and thankfulto everyone, same as I, but you
know, thank you for all thesupport and all the just keeping
us going.
So oh the the two of themwrecked me.
Oh yeah, no.
I knew when Iba was gonna talk,I was gonna be like, Yeah,
(43:04):
because you know, that's that'show he is.
The one that I was surprisedwith was Show.
Because Show also had a momentwhere he was like, he was gonna
lose it.
Like I'm like, oh no, also show.
What?
What?
But he was very grateful andhe's saying thank you a lot.
But uh yeah, he was gonna Yeah,I was all good crying with Show
(43:28):
just because when he voicecracked, I heard a man in the
audience, yeah.
I was like, oh my god, there'sthat that's his fanboy.
Yep.
Well I'm I'm assuming he was youknow thanking each member and he
was so he was saying, you know,Iba Masaki, Yunami J and there
(43:50):
was that long pause.
Yep.
Like he was trying to composehimself.
Like he couldn't even say Ono'sname because he was about to
bust out.
Crying.
I was like, it's like, what'swhat's happening with the show?
Because they use him as theanchor because he's so grounded
and but no composed and poetic.
(44:10):
He was about to was like he waslosing it.
You know, I was like, is hegonna say oh no?
Is he and then he finally did,but it was like because he was
trying not to crack.
Yeah, no.
Oh my god.
That's when that man in thebackground was yelling his name.
I was like, whoa.
That wasn't a female, that was aman.
(44:32):
Yep.
That was a show fan.
Well, well, did you hear it inthe when show was like, hey,
where are the girls and whereare the guys?
And the guys are like, whoa! I'mlike, Yes, the fam boys are
here.
I love that.
I love that he's like bringingthem up.
Where are my guys?
Yep, but I really yeah, I Ican't wait to see like a
(44:54):
translation of what they areactually saying.
Yeah, and then cry more.
Yeah, exactly.
Because like, like I said, theyuse show as the anchor because
he's very well spoken, verycomposed all the time, except
for today, because he was alittle like shaky.
The emotions are crazy, yeah.
The emotions were high and withgood reason, obviously, you
(45:16):
know, but like I really feellike he was saying very powerful
things to the people and to theother members.
And I I was like, uh, becausefor him to to sort of lose it
the way he did, yeah, I waslike, oh, he's feeling this,
he's really feeling this, youknow.
(45:36):
So it's like this is it, this isthe actual final.
Mm-hmm.
Oh this is the final, yeah.
Because I mean, when it's justthe hiatus was different, yeah.
They had a little like crymoment, but it's like it's it's
just you know, we're taking abreak.
Now it's just like this is we'renot taking a break.
Yeah.
You know, this is it for arashi.
Yep, yeah.
(45:57):
I think he definitely mentionedthat it was 26 and a half years,
and you know, he like he's like,This has been again, more of
their life has been Arashi thanbeing them.
And yeah, wow, this is just youknow, the end of an era.
I'm I'm like crying anyway.
That's why I got tissues heretoo.
(46:18):
I know.
That's why I have the tissues.
Because you know, we're gonnastart rethinking some of the you
know moments there.
But yeah, and oh my god, didthey dance their ass off do
those choreos, you know?
Well, I was gonna say, and don'tforget, after their little
farewell speeches, they left uswith their last song.
What's five five?
(46:39):
Oh, and I was just like, Oh, youknow, and it's which tried to
sing.
Then when that happened, I cantell June was like, You're
crying, but you're not showingit.
Come on, because he was lookingup like, no, get back inside,
get those tears back in my eyes.
He's looking up like he'strying, like, get back in.
(46:59):
Oh, like, come on, June, let mesee you cry.
Cry, June.
It's the only one I want to see.
I was like, is June gonna cry?
That was my question.
Is June gonna be crying thistime?
He better be crying.
So hold on.
But he really like, mmm.
Yeah, he fought he foughtthrough it.
(47:19):
He fought through it.
But yeah, that so that song'sjust perfect for the ending
because it is such aconglomeration of all of the
songs they've ever done.
Yes.
You're like, you just hear bitsand pieces of other songs
throughout it.
So it's like it was the perfectfinal gift to everybody as their
(47:39):
digital single.
I hope they do release it as,you know, something, but anyway,
yes, their their final song tous, the final song of the show,
of the final show they did.
Wow.
Yeah, like just so I can't waitfor the the replays because I'm
like, I feel like I've I saw somuch, but I missed so much.
(47:59):
Yes.
You know what I mean?
I'm like, Yes, no, I need to seeit again.
My sister and I'll probablywatch it every night after work.
Like, let's just re-watch it foras long as we can.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Because I'm sure this is gonnacome out on you know DVD or or
Blu-ray, you know.
So it's it's it's a final, butnot really final because you can
(48:21):
watch it as many times as youwant till June 15th, right?
Yeah, so so definitely if youbought your ticket, get your
money's worth out of it, watchevery replay you can.
Exactly.
Watch it as many times as youcan.
Oh because this is it.
You know, cry as many times.
I know, yeah.
I I'm like, I'm just gonna cryevery time I watch it.
(48:43):
Yeah.
But the difference with thisconcert as opposed to this is
our she concert was like it wassort of like I couldn't believe
it at the time.
I was like, well, it's justhiatus, it's not really over,
you know.
Right.
So like I was just happy throughthe whole thing, and then it was
after it was done that I cried.
This time I was like, I juststart crying right away.
(49:06):
Yeah.
Because you knew you knew it wasgonna happen.
Well, I was I was happy for thefirst, you know, 20 minutes, and
then they played whenever youcall, and I was like, Oh my god.
Yeah, no, me girl, I feel thesame way.
I was just like, oh, cool, awesome.
And then it's like, why are yougonna sing this on now?
Yeah, because it's just startedto bring in memories, you know.
(49:28):
This is like the time that Ireally started getting into
them, and you know.
Well, and again, the reminderthat like they were gonna be at
least touring, you know, part ofthe world, yes, going global,
and then it got taken away.
Yeah, not only from us, but fromthem.
Yeah, you know, oh god.
From June.
He's like, I have plans, I hadmany plans.
(49:53):
It was going everywhere in theworld to get this ready.
I know.
Um he spent times, a lot of timein the US, especially in
California, to get that ready.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
Sorry, June.
Well, my sister, when when theconcert was over, she's like,
you know what?
We have to watch Diary Voyageagain.
Yes.
(50:14):
I was like, uh, joke's on you.
I star watch it.
I was already watching it, tryyou know, bringing up all the
old memories, and I was like, ohgod.
So yeah.
We'll probably watch that, watchthe live stream replays and
watch Marvayage.
(50:34):
Yeah.
Like, oh yeah, I know, I know,girl.
I feel the same way.
But you know, they gave theirall, they danced their butt off.
They did.
They did choreo that you thinkthat they were not gonna do for
those, especially the oldersongs, and they just did it.
Yeah.
(50:56):
I know that would be reallyawesome.
Like the behind the scenes, youknow, documentary to like we are
RSH, you know, final.
Yeah.
Come on, June.
I know you got something going.
Another Netflix, you know, yeah, series for us.
Yes.
Out of that.
Yes.
Putting it out.
They've been doing this for awhole year, planning this.
Yes.
So there's gotta be stuff, youknow.
(51:17):
It hope.
Come on.
Yeah.
Yes, okay.
So we're putting it out there,uh, putting it out there in the
universe, or hopefully, or maybewe're just reading June's mind
that he is half already preparedthis, and we're, you know, it's
not really, I mean, could havebeen the final concert, but hey,
let's let us give you, you know,uh, the behind the scenes of to
(51:38):
that concert, and that would beamazing.
Mm-hmm.
Yay! Yes, maybe wait to see alittle bit more when they did
the happy birthday clips, youknow.
Yeah.
Stuff that, you know, fan clubwatch that hello we wanna watch
too, that we completely missout.
You know, so all right, so we'llmanifest that.
(51:58):
Yes, yes, definitely.
All right, June.
I'm still thinking and talkingabout you.
We love you so much.
We love you all.
Yes, okay, girl.
Well, I was just gonna say soAri Gato Arachi for so many
years of wonderful music andentertainment, dramas, TV shows,
(52:24):
appearances, places.
Just thank you, thank you, thankyou.
Yes, and gonna miss you.
I'm gonna uh we gotta wrap thisup.
I'm gonna be like bawling like ababy.
I'm gonna be like, I'm gonna cryagain.
You're gonna hey, that'salright.
You know, that is alright, youknow.
But yeah, you know, thank you,Arashi.
(52:46):
Um, I'm gonna actually just readit okay.
I I post something out onTwitter thanking them.
I'm gonna read that because if Ijust say it from my heart, it's
just gonna be crazy.
I can't, I can't.
So thank you, RShi, for today'sfinal performance at the Tokyo
Dome.
It was definitely unforgettable.
Um, I laughed, I cried, I I feltevery moment with all my heart.
(53:09):
Oh my god, no.
That's what I'm saying.
All I can say is thank youbecause I'm gonna lose.
See, I'm like Iba too.
Okay.
We're the eye button on thebook.
I gotta think of June.
Moving my tears.
Oh, thank you for the music, thememories, the joy you have given
(53:30):
everybody through the years.
Oh my god.
Okay, so forever grateful.
Thank you, Arashi.
Yes, no more gato gozai mask, yes, real quick.
Well, my tears are running downmy face and so Sarah is looking
at me like you crazy lady.
What do you mean I'm the one whowas like, I can't even get out
normal arigato gozai maskbecause I'm like oh my god.
(53:54):
Okay, oh so fellow Oratians, wehope you're holding it together
as well as we do.
