You know, there's a junklongevity.
(02:13):
There's not a turnover like somecompanies.
Well, even in within thecompany, you know, that had
happened.
SPEAKER_01 (02:18):
Yeah, well, you
know, it just it depends on you
and the position you're in andhow you deal with the uh, you

Right.
We'd call it.
SPEAKER_00 (02:32):
That's right.
All the employees.
Anyways, we're not here to talkabout work.
No.
We're gonna be talking aboutsome five awesome songs that
actually debuted uh not debuted, released in October.
Um, no debuted bands this time.
No.
Uh these are are actuallyrecurrent groups that we have
(02:53):
listened to.
One of them we actuallyinterviewed one of the members.
Yes, we did.
Now we never talked about two ofthem on the podcast.
No, made me three.
Well, one of them I thought iskind of new.
SPEAKER_01 (03:07):
Okay.
The the fifth single we had, that group's fairly new.
Yes.
So we've never talked anythingabout them at all.
SPEAKER_00 (03:15):
Which they have
debuted.
Now they have quite some.
Oh God.
We got we should do a deep divebecause I really enjoyed that
song.

A and two soloists, and then oneboy group.
SPEAKER_01 (03:38):
A.
A.
SPEAKER_02 (03:42):
All right.
SPEAKER_01 (03:42):
And they're one of
our we we talk about them fairly
frequently too.
Yes, we do.
They we love their work and wegot to see them as well.
So oh my god.
Awesome, right?
SPEAKER_00 (03:54):
I love it.
That was like my event of theyear.
Yeah so far.
It has been my most favoritelike event of the year.
SPEAKER_01 (04:05):
Oh, oh yeah,
definitely.
Well, because it was sointimate, you know.
SPEAKER_00 (04:09):
It was a really not
that Jin wasn't not.
Oh I mean, we love our gin, youknow, but that's a completely
you know, it was kind of like asame experience as we do with
other shows, but this the thatone.
Well, we'll talk more when wetalk about the group.
So might as well just say today,I'm gonna go try and say who we
(04:29):
are talking about on the groupsor the and the soloists that are
we are chatting today.
So we have uh for our talk talk, banana lemon.
This is the group that we weintroduced uh actually and also
the interview.
Yes.
Uh we spoke with Sarah fromBanana Lemon.
(04:51):
Yes, please check thatinterview, she was really cool.
Yeah, we are all also gonna betalking about uh BM's new single
featuring BI, then psychicfever.
Yeah, that's the event that I somuch love.
Also, we're going to talk aboutReiko and the newest group from
(05:12):
SM Hearts to Hearts.
So, yeah, alright.
Because I I want to do morebanter with each individual
single.
I don't want to keep keep mymouth shut.
SPEAKER_01 (05:24):
Okay.
Alright, alright, all right.
Are we gonna go in the orderthat we had him?
Okay.
SPEAKER_00 (05:29):
Yes.
SPEAKER_01 (05:29):
That works.
SPEAKER_00 (05:31):
All right.
So are you ready, Mr.?
I believe I am, yes.
Okay, here we go.
So let's talk about banana lemonand their newest song now.
We Outside.
It's been a while since thegirls have dropped a new new
music.
It's been quite some time, butmaybe a year or more.
So We Outside was released onOctober 10th.
(05:53):
And I like this is like I wantto say classic banana lemon.
Yeah, you know, the the theuplifting, anthem-like energy.
The title, We Outside.
I like the intro because it'slike, Where are you at?
SPEAKER_02 (06:08):
Where you at?
We outside.
SPEAKER_00 (06:10):
It's like, hey, you
know, like I'm not gonna be, I'm
not inside, I'm outside.
Let's go.
Um, I like the boldness, theoutgoing tone, the ready to
embrace the world when they'relike, We outside.
I like the production, itsupports their vibes, bright
synth, the driving beats, and ofcourse, as always, the group's
(06:32):
vocals, confidence, those lines.
Yeah, very banana lemon that welove.
So that blend of like neo, JPop, RB, and hip-hop that they
always give.
I like that they like to havethat appeal for the
international fans.
Is that something that's whythat we like The Revive?
(06:53):
Because they have thatinternational feel, you know,
outside, even though still theJ-pop, but the RB and hip-hop
influences given them that.
Of course, the party-like song, the celebratory mood, the
emphasizing hooks, like thewe're going out and we're
together, it's just love it.
(07:14):
You know, if you it's the uh asong to get you ready when yeah
to go outside.
It's it's a good one for fanswho are they're fans, they just
you know like how um I'll betthey'll like the evolution of
the group because it kind ofkind of sounds different than
the previous tracks.
SPEAKER_01 (07:30):
Oh, yeah,
definitely.
SPEAKER_00 (07:31):
You know?
So if you are new to bananalemon, please give this give
this one a chance.
This is it will get you moving.
It's so upbeat, it's so it'sjust it's it's fantastic.
It's just it's mesmerizing attimes too.
SPEAKER_01 (07:43):
Well, I was gonna
say it's I like how the the
opening is sort of like almostlike crunky, you know, like
yeah, and then where you at WeOutside, like you were saying,
catchy hooks and great vocals.
It's really clubby, but sort ofin a retro way.
Yes.
So it's definitely party anthem, just having a good time.
(08:06):
This is not even necessarilyabout being outside, but just
being out and having a good timepartying together.
The electronic beats in this aregreat.
Overall, I I mean, just thesound catches you.
Yes, it really just grabs you,and it's so awesome.
That bass they got in there islike uh huh.
(08:29):
And yeah, this is a fun-loving,good time song.
I the the way they chant things, like when they do the
B-A-N-A-N-A-L-E-M-O-N.
You know, like they're justhaving a good time, they're
having fun.
And that's sort of the generalvibe, is just to be like, we're
going out and we're gonna justenjoy ourselves.
(08:49):
We want everybody to come along.
You know, it's like veryinviting.
Yes.
Like we outside.
So we outside.
Join us.
We outside.
Yeah, yeah.
It's it's so much fun, and itdoes blend that whole J pop, hip
hop, and the RB.
SPEAKER_00 (09:08):
Yeah, because the
girls do have some all the pipes
when it comes to the melodicparts.
Yes, oh yeah, definitely.
Yes, yes, yes.
So that's awesome, you know.
It yeah, it is a celebration, you know.
We outside, we know we're outdoing things, we're bold, we're
awesome, you know.
Let's go for it and just hangout and be joyful.
And uh it was a it is had thatjoyful anthem feel.
SPEAKER_01 (09:30):
Absolutely, just in
confidence, like yes, we're
gonna do what we want to dobecause we outside.
SPEAKER_00 (09:37):
Yeah, come have fun,
join us, you know.
Just just awesome, awesome mood.
It does put you in a good mood.
You know, it's like a get readyto vibe with them, you know.
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER_01 (09:50):
And it's just it's
like so danceable, and you can
sort of see like just almost notquite a line dance thing, but
you know, like a group movementgoing on, everybody just having
the same groove going on andsaying, Yeah, we outside.
You know what I mean?
It's just it's got a really goodgroup feel to it.
Yes, inclusive, they'reincluding everybody, yeah.
(10:12):
It's awesome.
SPEAKER_00 (10:12):
Let's go, everybody.
Hang out.
Awesome, awesome girls, thankyou.
Yes, that's really cool.
So, are you ready for the nextsong?
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01 (10:26):
All right, this this
one caught me like all the time.
I was just like, oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (10:32):
I asked before
starting recording, I asked
Sarah which one got stuck inyour head, and she was like, BM
freak.
Yes, featuring B I, which thatwas cool.
Yes, definitely cool.
Girl, the teasers were this.
I'm like, oh jeez.
SPEAKER_01 (10:51):
Wow.
Well, wow.
We had talked about, I don'tknow if it was actually in the
broadcast we did last time, butjust seeing the little reels and
stuff, I was like, oh, bring inthe fire.
This boy likes to do this.
This just he just loves to dothis.
Well, remember when we all usedto work together and he had
(11:13):
posted some.
I mean, this was years ago, buthe had posted something, and you
showed one of our friends, andshe was like, Oh, yes, please.
SPEAKER_00 (11:22):
Oh my god, remember.
Well, what which song was that?
SPEAKER_01 (11:27):
She was like, Who is
that?
We were like, Big Matthew.
She's like, Oh, okay.
Yes, please.
SPEAKER_00 (11:35):
Goes by BM.
Big Matthew.
He is a tall guy.
Mm-hmm.
He is, and his name is Matthew.
And of course, uh, his physique, another one who's allergic to
fabric.
SPEAKER_01 (11:52):
I know, right?
SPEAKER_00 (11:53):
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_01 (11:53):
I don't think he had
a shirt on in any of those
little clips.
SPEAKER_00 (11:57):
Many, many, many,
many, many, many years ago when
Juano was with Monster X.
Monster, uh uh, so Wano and BMmet at a gym.
I don't know if there's gotta bepictures around.
Somebody had to have to savethose.
(12:17):
But BM and Wano were takingselfies at the gym.
Oh the gym bros, you know, theywere like, you know, pumping
iron, they were like, you know, flexing in front of mirrors, but
of course, taking selfies, andyou oh my goodness.
Of course, you know, as I saidbefore, you know, BM, he is
taller, so of course, our wano'sshorter.
(12:40):
So you it's Wano's up front, andthen you got BM flexing in the
back, like, uh, oh jeez, thosetwo boys.
Those two just somebody please,if you know what I'm talking
about, can you please sharethose pictures?
It's been years.
I know it was years ago.
Years.
I want to say 2018, maybe 2017.
(13:00):
Yeah, 2018.
It yeah.
Yeah, it's that's what I say, many, many, many, many moves
ago.
But I was just like, waah.
Okay, enough.
We're here to talk about freak.
I know, I know, just got tooexcited because oh my god, this
boy.
Oh my god, the beat of the song, the cloud ready atmosphere, oh
(13:25):
my god, and the strong, let'sgo.
Oh, please.
It's just his voice is so sweet.
So I oh can I talk?
No, it's just thinking about it,thinking of the song, and
thinking about the video.
So if you're not gonna watch thevideo for this, it's something
(13:45):
you have to watch the video forthis.
It's just like whoo my god, theperformance, his strength on
like his dance moves on thevideo.
I know I'm talking about thesong, but the video, oh my god.
I cannot wait to see him onDecember 14th.
I know at the Webster.
That's gonna be crazy.
Oh my god.
(14:06):
But his voice, you know, verysmooth and like uh just La
Labia, like I like to say.
You know, his delivery, youknow, very smooth.
And it's like, match my freak.
Deep and rich.
Yes.
I do like when uh BM comes inand does his BI comes in.
SPEAKER_01 (14:26):
Oh yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (14:27):
Sorry, no BM, that's
what I'm thinking as BM.
BI comes in, comes in, add thislike layer of brightness because
his voice a little higher, butyou know, his intonation is
different.
It's the the the vocalslash raptexture, because she kind of
gave you also more a bit moremelodic sometimes.
(14:47):
Oh that helps the tracks justlike stand out a little bit
more.
And of course, BM in thebackground style.
Oh, yes, you know, boosting up BBI's vocals as well.
Jesus, it's just so so smooth,so good.
It's just I can't wait for thevisuals for this.
I know I can't wait.
(15:08):
You know, so if if you're alistener that's going out, this
is uh definitely a night outanthem, and the track has this
swagger and bold energy, it'sjust delivers.
SPEAKER_02 (15:19):
Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00 (15:20):
Mmm.
SPEAKER_01 (15:23):
Okay.
Enough.
Well, I was gonna say, I likethat it's got sort of um the
carnival feel about it becausehe's got those whistles, you
know, in the background and thethe rim tap cymbal, hi hat, t
you know.
But the so it's it's like a aslow-moving party train, right?
(15:45):
Because it's not a hyper music,it's it's very sultry, but in a
kind of rough way.
Roughly this is a smooth, yeah, well, no, because you think
about BM's voice when he's like,mm-mm, you know.
(16:06):
When BI comes in, it'sdefinitely the the smoother,
higher vocal.
But this the way the musicswitches up partway and goes
into sort of a a dreamy, I don'tknow, spacey, ethereal kind of
feel to it.
And then he says, Bring it back, and it goes back to that dunt,
(16:28):
dunt, dunt with the the whistlesand everything.
It's really, it's cool.
It's very cool.
I like the way they arranged it.
The the sounds are socaptivating.
That's why this was the one thatwas stuck to me.
It was like, what is this?
You know what I mean?
Crazy, just really good energy.
I love the way, come match myfreak.
(16:50):
Like, just the things they'resaying are so that's why I say
it's like a little rough, right?
Because it's like, come match myfreak.
And you're naughty, and you gotme feeling this way and that
way.
But again, when they they dothat sort of dreamy music, and
then BM comes in and says, Bringit back.
(17:13):
I I love it.
So it just I don't know if it'ssort of the way it's repetitive,
so it just sort of keeps youmoving along, but not repetitive
in a like, oh, where's thisgoing kind of way?
You're like, it just drives youforward.
Not like a rushed party song,it's like a slow-moving, mmm,
(17:33):
dun, dun, d, dun, d.
I just again stuck in my headall the time.
I love driving to it too, because it's just like you've
got that like almost low riderfeeling about it, you know, like
slow and steady, just beingcool.
Here I am.
SPEAKER_00 (17:51):
I do like that, you
know, the the Caribbean type of
dance hall and the groove.
SPEAKER_01 (17:58):
Yeah, that's why I
was saying it sort of reminded
me of like Carnival.
It's like that the parade,slow-moving party through town.
That's what this is.
Just awesome.
Yes.
And they're they their vocalswork really great together.
Oh yeah.
The the contrast, you know.
So awesome, awesome song.
SPEAKER_00 (18:19):
Yeah, the it's yes,
it is an awesome song.
I completely agree with you.
Oh my goodness.
The video two.
Yes, awesome.
But, anyways, are you ready forthe next song?
I'm still move.
I can hear it in my head.
I'm moving.
(18:42):
Some of who are new to thepodcast, just want to let you
know that Sarah and I listen tothese songs for like a week
straight.
That's the only thing that we'reyou know, listening and repeat,
and then we give our thoughtsand opinions, and then we deep
do a little bit of deep divedepending on the song that we
like.
So we like give you a little bitmore of it.
(19:03):
But uh, yes.
So that's why we're we when wetalk about it, it just it comes
back into our minds of like, oh,this beat and that, and blah
blah blah.
Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01 (19:14):
You you're replaying
it in your head.
SPEAKER_00 (19:17):
Exactly.
SPEAKER_01 (19:18):
When we do it this
way, we don't have to listen and
and comment because we've got itright there.
Exactly.
SPEAKER_00 (19:25):
We were trying, we
our lives were so busy that we
were doing a listen to it thefirst time and then we talk
about it.
But now things have changed andhave calmed down a bit, so now
we have more time to do these uhdeep dives.
Also, if I did not mention theuh the freak song was released
on October 20th.
(19:45):
Ah, okay.
Yes.
So I know we said the releasefor Banana Lemon's We Outside.
So now, are you ready for thenext song?
SPEAKER_01 (19:55):
I am.
SPEAKER_00 (19:56):
Alright.
This group, uh G, we got so upclose, and well, not personal,
but we got up close.
Well, in our heads, in our theLulu heads, we became personal.
Personal, yeah.
Because oh my god.
It's gonna be psychic fever'sswish dad.
(20:16):
That was released on October25th, so it's fairly new right
now on the charts.
And of course, this is now their10th digital single.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So this track is actually theopening theme for uh Japanese TV
show Mask Ninja Akagage.
(20:40):
Wow.
Wow, wow, wow.
And of course I saw the videobecause you know that psychic
fever are well known for notjust only vocals and their
rappers, because there's morerappers on the this group, but
their dance performance.
SPEAKER_01 (20:56):
Yeah, definitely
their visuals while they're
dancing.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (21:01):
They're I mean, just
they're all around performers.
Definitely.
Oh my goodness.
So this song, switch that, ofcourse, is packed with infection
in infectious infectious bass.
You know, I try to give somevocals, try to like change my
vocabulary, but I can't even saythe word correctly.
(21:23):
You know, infectious bass, if Ican say that right.
And of course, they're harthey're hip-hop and RB, because
they always give that vibe, andthey do that so well.
Oh, they do that so well.
It's definitely catchy.
Come on, it's an earworm.
Oh my god.
You know, I started to freak outwhen I heard the first line that
(21:49):
it was Jimmy.
SPEAKER_01 (21:51):
I know.
Oh my god, you can you canalways tell Jimmy.
SPEAKER_00 (21:55):
I know there was
like there was like, you know,
there was some swish that, swishthat, and I'm like, okay, who
was that?
But then when you start hearingJimmy's, I'm like, what?
unknown (22:05):
What?
Jimmy!
SPEAKER_00 (22:06):
Can you tell he's my
bias?
Oh my god, Jimmy's dynamicvocals kick things off.
Yay! I was so happy.
I was like, oh my god, I'mfreaking out.
I got like the goosebumps andeverything.
Oh, anyways, the punchy beats.
Can you tell?
I'm so excited about this group.
The catchy hooks.
(22:27):
Another one with catchy hooks,of course.
Yeah, and of course, there'ssome moments that you have like
the unit, you know, like thevocals.
We have Wisa, Kokoro.
Oh my god, and Ren with themelodic voices that give that R
and B line so sweet, RMG, sogood.
(22:48):
But of course, you got ourrappers, Surugi, Ryushin, Ryoga,
and Jimmy.
My god.
Oh, those distinct rap vocals, and you can tell who's who, of
course.
Of course, you can tell whoJimmy is.
SPEAKER_01 (23:03):
I just guess he's
he's the most identifiable.
SPEAKER_00 (23:07):
Jeez, his voice his
voice just goes in there.
I'm like freaking out.
You know, they drive that thatthat that the rap line or the
rap unit is just like drives inthe energy, the attitude, the
power, and that bass.
You know, we love that bass.
And that song really has thatbass.
(23:30):
They're just I know.
I'm gonna talk about the video.
Their moves, because come on, Ican't wait.
I there's gotta be a danceperformance for this because
their choreo is so good.
So, but anyways, I love them.
I know, I love them.
I think they're ready for thebig leagues.
(23:50):
They should be going like onbigger stages, they're so good.
But of course, I don't know ifyou I'm being biased because I
have seen we have seen them, youknow, that meet and greet that
they came to Boston.
They should be ready to move onto like bigger stages.
For my this is what I you know,my opinion.
I think they are ready.
(24:11):
But that song, it's anotheranthem for Club and come on.
SPEAKER_01 (24:14):
Oh yeah, absolutely.
You know, well I was gonna saybecause they they've got the
personality and the presence toto do bigger stages, like you
said.
They they have an energy thatjust reaches out to you, grabs
you.
This song though, uh Jimmy'slike deep, smoky voice is just
(24:36):
so awesome for that opening, that rap opening.
I think that all of their likerap and vocal skills are really
showcased so well in this.
They've got great hip hopelements, but then they also, if
you listen to the music in thebackground, they've got sort of
some classical like that flute, this blending of of old and new
(24:59):
sounds, which they do in othersongs as well.
But like I really sort of caughtthose little background sounds,
and as you were saying thatstrong, strong bass just pushing
this song forward.
These guys, I I think that theyblend, like I said, the rap and
vocal when they do theirindividual stuff is awesome, but
(25:22):
when they sort of blend it all,oh yeah, just incredible,
amazing.
And I think everybody sort ofplays around with different
aspects of sounds, which is cooltoo.
So this is just another grabber.
It it's you're like, you can'thelp but move to it, you can't
help but sing along to it.
It's just mesmerizing.
Another mesmerizing song.
(25:44):
I think that's my word of theday.
SPEAKER_00 (25:46):
Whoever produced
this definitely knew how their
vocals, their strengths, andthey used to definitely on each
line of song and definitelygiving that mood for that TV
show.
Yeah, mass ninja aca, you know, they're giving it a little bit.
SPEAKER_01 (26:04):
I can see how it it
works into that.
Right.
You know, I think with the theflutes, the those classical
sounds in the background, butthe modern edge to it is perfect
for I don't know what the showis.
SPEAKER_00 (26:16):
Or ninjas.
SPEAKER_01 (26:17):
But if it's ninjas,
yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_00 (26:19):
It's gonna be is
it's I it's one of those action
dramas.
SPEAKER_01 (26:23):
Okay, yeah.
So that's why.
But yeah, so you can you getthat feel from this song.
Yeah.
You you can see some ninjasmoving around and oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (26:33):
And of course, you
know, for the ambiance or to
give it that feel of the whole, you know, ninja time, you know,
masks, you know, whatever.
The video has that, you know, they actually record it on a
temple.
Oh, cool.
SPEAKER_01 (26:46):
Yes.
Well, that explains, you know, some of the feel to it.
Yes, definitely.
So that's awesome.
I didn't watch the video, so Idon't know.
SPEAKER_00 (26:55):
I did because I just
needed to see it.
I know lately I've been watchingthe videos just because or
actually just pop up.
Well, the fans so they're like,oh my god, did you panic?
Look, it's the blah blah blah.
SPEAKER_01 (27:06):
And I was like, oh
well, you know, anyone I follow,
yeah, on YouTube, it's like, hey, new video.
And but I've I haven't had timeto like sit and watch videos.
That's the problem.
I'm like, oh, I want to seethat.
SPEAKER_00 (27:18):
So the fans, the
fans, you know, the listeners,
they're like, did you panic hearthe video?
I was like, what do you think?
It's like, you know, so it'slike I need to interact with the
listeners.
Yeah, that's true.
SPEAKER_01 (27:33):
So well, and that's
easier than you know, getting a
notification and then four hourslater trying to find the video
that Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (27:40):
I there's like
hundreds of I no, I love it when
they do that because I like tointeract with every you know,
all the fans.
You know, they have theiropinions.
I have my opinions, and youknow, and they know which one,
you know, they listen to thepodcast, so they're like,
they're like, oh my god, I thinkit heard Jimmy.
I was like, oh my god, I'm like, okay.
And I'm like, oh geez, thanks.
(28:01):
Wow.
Wow.
SPEAKER_01 (28:03):
Yeah, no, this was
this was definitely sort of a
swaggery attitude kind of swishdown.
SPEAKER_00 (28:09):
Oh, they are all so
good.
In that video, please, theirattitude, they're oh my god.
SPEAKER_01 (28:16):
Which is so funny
because when we saw them in
person, they were so fun-lovingand playful.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, you know, they had theirmoments if they had to whatever
they were performing, but forthe most part, they're very
personable.
So here in this attitude is justsort of funny.
SPEAKER_00 (28:36):
You know, it's it's
you know, it's their performance
for this song, you know.
They gotta change into that, youknow, uh-uh-uh.
You know, because as you know,Surugi is so like such a fun
character, you know.
He's like over the top, he'slike all like smiles and like
you know, so but on this timeyou look at him, you're like,
(28:57):
whoa, what?
He's not wearing a cowboy hat.
Oh no, so it's completelydifferent.
Oh girl.
SPEAKER_01 (29:04):
I'll have to check
it out.
SPEAKER_00 (29:05):
You remember that
time that he took his hat off
just to, you know, and we sawhis hair.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (29:11):
Beautiful, smooth,
oh my god, flowy, like flowy,
even though it wasn't long, youknow?
SPEAKER_00 (29:18):
You know those, you
know, slow-mo that cameras do
when people take their hat offand then their hair they shake
their hair out.
Yeah, that's what I was seeingwhen he did that.
I'm like, in my head, it's likeslow-mo.
He's like, Fwa, fwa.
I'm like, oh my god.
An angel saying glisteningsweat.
(29:39):
Oh, he did look so good.
He did.
What happened?
Just on that, those few seconds,we're like, that's how he is.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, he's my second bias, biasrecord.
But of course, something willhappen.
I'll be like, oh my god, youshouldn't.
SPEAKER_01 (30:02):
I've said it before.
My favorite's always whoever'sin front of me.
Well, yeah.
Whoever's got my focus, youknow, my attention at the
moment, that's my favorite.
SPEAKER_00 (30:13):
Yeah.
I don't suppose we'll just saythat.
SPEAKER_01 (30:16):
Because it's crazy.
Yeah.
You know, if if they've got agood personality and they've got
great stage presence andeverything, you can't help but
be drawn to it.
Exactly.
You know what I mean?
So like so I don't know howpeople pick a favorite.
You know, other than when I takethose little quizzes and they
tell me who my who your favoriteis.
(30:39):
And they so I'm like, okay, well, the based on this, that's
my bias.
But let me tell you, I like themall.
SPEAKER_00 (30:47):
Oh my god.
Okay.
All right, is you gonna havesome water on this one?
Because I'm like, what?
Okay.
Moving on to the next song.
Yes.
All right.
This solo artist have been on OKAsia's playlist nonstop.
Every time that he drops a newsingle, the fans are all on top
(31:11):
of it and always been on mythird hour, which is the most
most requested.
So we are going to chat aboutReiko song Maybe.
Now this was released on October20th, and Reiko is actually a
solo artist from the BMS and Ggroup.
(31:33):
Because I know, but for somereason I always like mixed up
the words.
You got it right.
Okay, great.
Okay, okay.
So uh, but like I was saying,he's a solo artist.
He dropped that song calledMaybe um from previous songs.
There's one song that he, ofcourse, I forgot about, I forgot
the title, but it have more oflike Caribbean vibes, and I was
(31:59):
like, yeah, I'm really lovingthis song.
His vocals are amazing though.
I'm glad that he is solo though.
I don't know how he will do asin a group, but as a solo
artist, he can pull it.
Yeah, you'd have to get three.
He can definitely pull it.
The right blend of soundstogether.
Yeah.
(32:19):
So the song that I like aboutthis is like his delivery is
soft, soft yet confident.
Also, the production, oh, theproduction just fits very well.
His tone expressed both likevulnerability and just strength.
Um, the lyrical theme of likeovercoming doubt because it's
(32:39):
like maybe, you know, like evenit's it's like there's some
doubts, but we're working on it.
From the little bit of Englishthat I was able to like check
out, I liked his like just avery strong single for him.
Showcases his like artisticgrowth from like other songs
(32:59):
that I have heard about him, butalso the song hits you know the
vocal quality, the modernproduction, the emotional
connection, and um just thefuture focus ambition.
So if you are actually newlistener for him who enjoys like
(33:20):
chill uh chill house vibes orexpressive vocals, I highly
recommend this one.
SPEAKER_01 (33:28):
Yeah, no, this I
highly recommend this one.
It's definitely it's got thatthe slow, steady start that
focuses on those vocals and thensort of gets a little club, you
know, dance influence, but notreal heavy.
It just sort of slowly moves youinto it.
It's got some RB feel to it.
(33:51):
Like simple beats, but goodmovement and that wavy synth.
At first I was like, is theresomething wrong with my
speakers?
You know, I was like, did I havethe volume up too?
But then I was like, oh wait,no, that's ha that's meant to be
in there.
So it's sort of it's this funkysort of wave going on in it, but
he just he's got a naturalgroove.
(34:14):
Like this comes easy to him.
I I don't know.
It's it's so effortless.
When I said that he in a group,I don't think he belongs, but
definitely as a solo artist,he's very strong vocals for he
would stand out too much, Ithink, in a group, like would be
too too separate, tooindividual.
(34:36):
So it's just like yeah, I don'tknow.
It was just very easy to listento.
And like you were saying thatthe stuff with the maybe saying
tired of all this same shit.
unknown (34:48):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (34:48):
What was one of it?
Oh, we just want to party tilldawn, because like maybe
tomorrow isn't gonna come.
Uh maybe we won't all be here atthe same time tomorrow.
You know what I mean?
Like, I think it's sort of thisfeeling of like, let's just go
with what we got now, becausemaybe everything will be
different, you know?
Yeah.
So enjoy the moment.
(35:09):
Yeah, we we don't know what willcome tomorrow, so let's and the
and it has that feel to it.
It's just sort of like, youknow, we're just gonna go with
it, go with the flow, have agood time while we can.
And yeah, I mean, everythingjust is so again effortless with
him.
I it there's no like strainingto hit a note, there's no
(35:33):
forcing any sounds, it's justtrue emotion coming through
while he's singing.
It's awesome.
Yes, it's probably right, it'sthe most laid-back song on the
list that we have.
SPEAKER_00 (35:45):
It's definitely
chill house.
Yeah, it has the chill housevibes.
It's yeah, definitely be athome, chill out, you know, or
just even cruising.
Yeah, just cruising, groovingaround.
Like, yeah, it's yeah, verynice, easy going, yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (36:02):
I like it.
SPEAKER_00 (36:03):
Very strong, very
strong single for him because
it's been a while since he's uhdropped a single.
I think he's working on an EP,don't quote me on it, but I I'm
hoping he is.
He's due for an EP or an album, actually, but I really don't
know his schedule and what'sgoing on with his production.
(36:24):
But yeah, Rako has um amazingvocals, very awesome.
Please check him out.
Definitely.
SPEAKER_01 (36:32):
This is a good
little intro song because you
can hear everything very well, very clearly, so you know you're
getting the true sound.
I like that.
I like that.
All right.
SPEAKER_00 (36:45):
Ready for the next
song?
SPEAKER_01 (36:47):
The last song, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (36:48):
Yeah, last but not
least, we're talking about
hearts to hearts, focus, newestgirl from SM Entertainment.
And this song, oh my god, I lovethe piano.
This piano, I love this pianosound because it gives me high
fashion.
(37:09):
I all I can think of is likerunway and high fashion,
everybody like uh, you know, butit it's it's so dancy and
catchy, and the violins and alittle bit of disco in there as
well.
You know, the track drives rightinto smooth house and deep house
(37:31):
vibes.
Come on, especially with thatriff.
Love that piano.
I like that the whole like bass,of course.
Yes, it has that punch bass.
Yes, you know, it has this thepiano has that catchy vintage,
like it's like a retro.
SPEAKER_01 (37:47):
Yes, it reminded me
of something, it's almost like
it's a sample.
Yeah, kept almost getting it,and then I was like, I don't
know.
It's uh but it's awesome, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (37:56):
That riff runs
throughout the whole song, it
pairs very well with that justclean bass that we love.
It was rucking me out, girl.
I was rucking out like, hey, hey, I was moving around you
know, but it's not like over thetop, you know.
It's just it has also cool andjust confidence.
(38:18):
This song has cool andconfidence to it, even though
the lyrics sound a littlecrackrape, you know, but
lyrically, the song captures Ican't focus on anything but you
exactly.
You know, the song captures thatmagnetic feel, you know, like
uh, uh, I'm into you.
So um also you know, very uhlike the I like the bass that
(38:43):
has like a heartbeat, somethingyou know, felt that now you like
that.
I'm like, I I'm sure Sarah'sgonna be saying that, but I'm
gonna say it first.
Because it does have that, andof course, because of the
lyrics, you know, only focus onyou.
But I'm also thinking they'reonly focused on their fans.
That could be, yeah.
Because there's a part thatalways says, all lies on us.
(39:05):
I'm like, oh, I see what you'redoing there.
I see what you're doing there.
You're like trying to say, I'monly about you guys because
hello, I want you to focus onme.
SPEAKER_01 (39:15):
Well, I was gonna
say it could also just be I'm
only focused on you andeverybody's focused on us out on
the dance floor.
It could be a couple ofdifferent things, yes.
SPEAKER_00 (39:26):
Yes, but love, love,
love this song.
Uh what I like about this songis not your typical bright
bubblegum track, you know, thatsome girls give out there.
Not that there's nothing wrongwith it, but you know, we like
our confidence attitude, ladies,you know.
(39:47):
So that's what that's what Ilove about this song.
It just feels like a realupgrade, and just love the uh
focus on you, but really uh justfocus on me, you know.
That catchy line, it was alwaysin my head when I wake up and
I'm like, okay, it's on you.
I was like, okay, okay, butyeah, love this girl.
(40:09):
I know it's from the album.
Maybe we'll do a deep dive onthe girls too.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_01 (40:13):
I was I was thinking
that too.
I was like, we should do a deepdive on the girls, definitely.
Because there's there's eight ofthem, so there's a lot of
people.
Oh my god, yes, you know to tolook at and talk about.
SPEAKER_00 (40:24):
I mean, we're like
seven members, we're like, oh,
eight, we're like, oh, I mean, Ijust got used to snowman, right?
And then there's another groupthat is so many girl, you know,
so many members that you're justlike, okay, let's try.
SPEAKER_01 (40:41):
Brain, let's work,
wherever.
Yeah.
But considering there's eight ofthem, yes, their vocal ranges
are good, they blend welltogether.
Oh my goodness, yes.
Their harmonies are awesome.
I love the you're all I'mneeding.
You're all I'm seeing.
You're all I'm needing.
You're all I'm seeing.
SPEAKER_00 (40:59):
Like the crankway
part is like how you can see.
SPEAKER_01 (41:03):
Yeah, that's that
that piano part is definitely.
I was like, it's reminding me ofsomething.
So it's got that definite retrojazzy feel to it.
Yep.
They got the hi-hat symbol goingon in the background.
Um, funky funky bass.
And just funky synth, too, youknow, when it blends with that
(41:23):
piano.
Like they got some crazy, crazysound going on.
It but it's just this isdefinitely uh like a club
anthem.
Like everybody's gonna be outthere dancing, and I cannot
focus on anyone but you.
Yeah, yes.
It's just fun, like you said, attitude, confidence.
Another one that's full of thislike uplifting energy.
(41:47):
Yes.
Like you you want to move, youwant to be part of the party,
you want to be out theredancing, you want to be in the
scene with these people becausethey're just having a good time,
and the music is just pumping, keeps you going.
It's awesome from from start tofinish, too.
Because it's like they've gotsome really cool transitions
(42:11):
between that and then it's likeI you know what it sort of was
like um those cheesy 70s TVshows that we grew up with, you
know, in reruns, like the themesongs.
Like you're like, oh, it's likea little like I don't know,
smooth and sort of sassy, andyou're like, oh yeah.
(42:36):
It was just fun though, fun, right?
Yes, it drew you into whateveryou were gonna be watching.
You were like, I love this song.
So that's how this is.
SPEAKER_00 (42:51):
Like, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_01 (42:56):
Well, and I got a
little faked out at the
beginning when the the man'svoice is there.
I was like, what?
But then but then the girls camein and it was all I I was all
right with the world.
So but yeah, no, this is justfun.
Like it brought so manydifferent feelings and emotions
and memories to me because ofthe sound and the feeling of it,
(43:19):
and just it was just so muchfun.
It really was.
I was like, I can't help dancingwith you, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (43:27):
Yeah, you know what
I mean.
Well, these songs that uh wepick definitely are all
danceable.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
They are all danceable, evenfrom just K01, even it's mellow,
but still you feel like you youknow, you move to it.
SPEAKER_01 (43:43):
I was gonna say
different levels of of feeling
and and movement, differentmoods for your every mood of the
day, every mood of your commute, however you're listening to it,
you know.
Yeah, and again, always use yourheadphones because these have
like hidden sounds and oh yeah, and things going on that you're
(44:04):
just like production's so deep,yeah.
Awesome.
Like all this stuff on BM andBI's freak there.
Yeah, like you really gotta lit.
There is so much going on inthere.
SPEAKER_00 (44:15):
Oh, yeah, the layers
on it.
SPEAKER_01 (44:17):
You're like, Whoa.
SPEAKER_00 (44:18):
The layers on that
song.
I like you know, I want to say,you know, use this playlist for
and you wanna go out.
Yeah.
Because you start like, weoutside, then you get freaked by
BM, you know, it's like, hey,you found somebody you want to
get freaked with.
Then switch that it's likeswitch that it's like, hey, hey,
(44:40):
let's dance.
SPEAKER_01 (44:41):
You're in the full
swing of the party at that
point.
Exactly.
SPEAKER_00 (44:44):
The maybe is like,
oh no, no, maybe we'll hang out.
Maybe, maybe, maybe, you know,whatever.
But then you get focused becauseyou're really focused on this
person.
I'm like, I'm focusing on you.
That's your that's your last bigpush of the night.
Good playlist.
Yes, definitely.
You know, get that mentality onit.
SPEAKER_01 (45:06):
Or even like I said,
even just driving around, it's
great for driving.
I know.
It just keeps you going.
SPEAKER_00 (45:13):
I was just moments,
you know, like oh yeah.
Oh yeah, I was cranking thatevery day my way to work, my way
home.
Yeah, you know, even at dinnertime, and I'm like, oh, let's
play this.
You know, families are like, oh,this, this, this, this.
And I'm like, yeah.
I'm just just just tonight.
(45:34):
Just play it, please.
Huh.
We have fun.
I have fun.
You have fun.
Oh, yeah, definitely.
SPEAKER_01 (45:42):
No, these were great
songs.
SPEAKER_00 (45:44):
This was a fun
playlist.
Love it.
SPEAKER_01 (45:47):
Love it.
We're usually pretty good withour selections, I think.
SPEAKER_00 (45:51):

Which we've been getting one.
