Original trailer description:

Exciting experiences, new romances, and so much more! Here's everything you can expect to see this season, premiering Sunday, September 28.

The Browns are back and more emotionally raw than ever. In the wake of multiple breakups, the family faces major turning points. Meri dips her toe into dating with an awkward but promising speed dating event, while Janelle takes steps toward a spiritual divorce after a freeing trip to New Orleans. Christine and David are settling into married life, but Christine is shaken when her kids begin moving to North Carolina near Janelle, sparking jealousy and hurt.

Kody continues to struggle with the aftermath of his fractured family. Haunted by painful memories in the home he shared with Robyn, he wants to move again and start fresh, but healing won’t come easy. In an effort to make peace, Kody meets one-on-one with his ex-wives to offer long overdue apologies. Meanwhile, Robyn clings to her belief in plural marriage, even as Kody questions its future and entertains attention from a woman online asking to be his new wife.

This season dives deep into the Browns’ efforts to rebuild their lives both separately and together. From awkward first dates to emotional confrontations, Sister Wives explores whether this once unified family can finally move forward without the bitterness and blame that’s defined them for so long.

(00:00):
Hello world, welcome to my Sister Wives podcast.
I'm Chris. And I'm Allie, we're long time
friends who had no idea we were both watching the TLC trainwreck
reality show Sister Wives. Join us as we rewatch Sister
Wives, maybe have a drink or two, and share what useless
information and insights we can provide.
Listen to us two deadbeat losersjudge the Brown family.

(00:22):
That's us all right. See you on the flip side.
Me call you sweetheart. I'm in love with you.
What does the nanny do? OK, so we're done.
Goodbye. You.

(00:43):
Shut it off. Do not twist my words.
Do not. Make me a victim, sweetie.
Just look at the mountain. That's what you saw that day.
Just the knife in the kidneys over all these years and the
sacrifices that I made to love you.

(01:14):
So we are never, ever, ever getting back together.
Do you like my vocal stylings? It was beautiful.
Thank you. I've been told that I'm very
talented. You are.
I should like auto tune that so that it's actually a key and it
sounds like the song. But you know, I thought you'd

(01:35):
appreciate that you like Taylor.Swift.
I do love it. It's a hard song to sing so auto
tune might be necessary. It's OK.
Amen. Well, those lyrics are featured
in this trailer. Oh.
My God. For season 20 of Sister Wives,
So a little background, when we started my Sister Wives podcast

(01:57):
and we started at the very beginning and the people have
been like, oh, we love that you're rewatching and that
that's available and everything like that.
But we didn't start with recapping episodes as they were
happening. So now we're coming up on a new
season, Season 20. The trailer just dropped today.
Hot off the press. Hot off the press.

(02:17):
And so we're thinking that we'regoing to have recap episodes
available on our Patreon. We will be recapping the
episodes the week that they comeout.
So they come out on Sunday night, we'll watch them and put
up a recap that week of what we think of the episode and our
usual stick, you know, the things that you guys have come

(02:38):
to expect from us. Yeah, same shit, different day,
but just in current time insteadof hyper analyzing the past,
which we will still hyper analyze but it will just be
current day, yes. Yeah, and this is coming at an
interesting time there, the Sister Wives universe, there's
like a things happening. So at time of recording right

(03:00):
now coming up in the near futureat the beginning of September is
Christine's book is coming out and Kody is going to be on what
is the show. Special Forces.
Special Forces on Fox and that starts at the end of September
too. Some people in the Sister Wives
multiverse in the whatever were speculating that maybe there

(03:23):
wouldn't even be a season 20 that came out because Cody's on
another network. Christine's book is coming out.
What does this mean? And the last few years they had
premiered their show in September, but we're coming up
on September. So it was a little like, what's
going on? And so we got the trailer out
today. Thank the Lord Jesus.
And I immediately texted it to Allie, yes, I was like OMG with

(03:45):
like, of course a list of like OMG, OMG, OMG.
And I ran out for a a 15 minute break at work and watched it
right quick just to be sure I knew what was what was coming
up. Yeah, yeah, all the rumblings.
Oh boy. So we're start.
We're kicking off our recap withthis recap of the Season 20

(04:06):
trailer. And we're, I don't really know
that there's much more to that. Well, I would add that in true
Sister Wives slash TLC fashion, we're pretty sure we get half of
the season in the trailer, right?
Certainly there's a little bit left to the imagination, but

(04:27):
they do give us a lot right off the bat.
In season 19, there were so manyepisodes, there was like 20
episodes, 28 episodes. There was some crazy number and
it went on and on and on and on.So if last season is any
indicator of what we're going toget, it's probably every 3rd
episode will be something worth noting.

(04:50):
Oh gosh, but maybe now. Interestingly enough, I don't
know how many seasons ago it wasproduction companies change from
Puddle Monkey to whatever it is today, but you can tell because
they approach things different. The music's different.
They got in another level of production company.
And that also brought us from a point where two years ago we
were watching footage from a year and a half before that kind

(05:12):
of thing. Like they got so far behind with
COVID and whatever where we werewatching things that had
happened so far in the past. Season 19 wrapped the spring and
they were pretty much caught up.They were, they were very, they
were much more caught up than they'd ever been or had been for
a very long time. So now to have this coming out,
what's interesting is it's, it'srelatively recent stuff.

(05:35):
At least we're not going back years.
Yeah, probably in like true reality TV show fashion, they're
at a normal period when obviously the recording and then
the editing and then the releasehappens.
We're at a normal period of timeright now, yes, which is new for
them. It is definitely.
It's been a very long. Time, at least for a little bit.

(05:56):
I think at the beginning TLC wasprobably pretty good about it,
but somewhere as soon as they waned in interest it got further
and further behind and then Christine left and then it was
like, we have to like catch up because people Care now.
Right. Which is still kind of amazing
that they were able to do it andlike get another season going
and like all of these things, like, I don't know, it's

(06:16):
interesting trajectory that these folks have had over the
years. So yeah, let's jump into the
actual trailer. Oh my goodness.
OK. So we start, and I love it
because one thing that this production company does do well
is they've picked out this dramatic music for their
trailers and their teasers and their next episode.
And still to come on this season, whenever they do those

(06:37):
teasers and those promos, the music's always like, like, there
might as well be choirs being like, oh, like, it's so
dramatic. It's cinematic.
Amen. And which is funny, given who
the people are and what the likewhat?
But we're still coming back, I mean.
It's like it's working. It's like us trying to find
music for something we want to do, and we'll listen to

(06:59):
something that's like, well, this is good, but it's way too
much. Like, way too much.
Yeah. So we start out with an
introductory, you know, segment where, of course they're going
to give us a little highlight from each person.
I mean, that makes sense. And we start with Meri.
Oh my gosh. And she's ready to go speed
dating. And she's such a nerd about it,
of course, as Meri would be, butGod damn she looks good.

(07:22):
She looks good. This is with some help from, I
was going to say Olympic, but I don't really know what she did.
So I don't think it's really fair to say anything.
But clearly she did something and it's paying off.
She's looking good and she continues to lose weight through
the season. You can tell through the footage
that this they're filming while she's on her weight loss
journey, while she's worthying up.

(07:42):
Great. Yeah, they, I don't know, she
says something to Jen, Some sortof fart joke or something.
She snorts. Oh, she snorts.
OK, I guess that's better than afart joke.
But then there's a clip with herwith some guy in a, you know,
restaurant or something and doing this speed dating and he

(08:03):
asks what her love language is and she says physical touch,
which is beautiful. And he looks a little terrified,
but that's OK. Yeah, yeah.
But she was like, he was handsome, so I didn't care, you
know, like, and he was, he was cute.
Yeah. She could end up with a guy like
that. That'd be OK.
Yeah. Definite upgrade.
I just feel like Meri's gonna scare everybody.

(08:23):
Well, of course of. Course like if I was sitting
across somewhere at a table I'd be like Oh my.
God, I forgot my favorite part about this clip.
Jen is wearing a shirt that I have that I bought on Amazon.
Except. Except.
So it's like a black tee that has like a like almost like a
macrame type collar. OK.
But her sleeve cuffs have it tooand I don't have sleeve cuffs

(08:47):
with that and I'm pissed. I liked her shirt better than
mine. Well, that's very disappointing.
Also, I think Janelle or Christine wears a version of the
same shirt in a different color a little bit later in the
trailer. Amen.
Amen. That's great.
You have a kindred little blouseon the merry or something like
that. A tank on the Jen or a T-shirt

(09:08):
on the Jen or something, whatever you want to call it.
But I was like, that's my shirt. But why is hers cuter, you know?
So now I know I might go look for it.
Thanks, Jen. Amen.
So then they cut to Christine and she's talking to Dave David,
David David. I love how I just said Dave like
I'm so like buddy buddy with himlike.

(09:29):
I don't think he's a Dave. No, he's not.
I bet Cody would try to call himDave then, you know what I'm
saying? Like, we're buddies, we're cool.
And David's like, I go by David.Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
That's true. Speaking of which, we might get
that opportunity because Christine says you and Cody
could hang out and he laughs andsays no.

(09:50):
And then they cut immediately tothem both in blue shirts, Cody
and David at a racetrack. You don't know where they are at
first. They're just both in like blue
shirts in the in a single shot like.
Shoulder to shoulder. And then all of a sudden they're
serious in a yeah, like kind of looking off, and then the next
thing we see is them each in a car going around a racetrack,
like whatever. And I think somebody was like

(10:12):
coaching Cody, Like they certainly had people in the
passenger seat with them probably that can control the
cartoon, right? Think I mean, they must, but
like trying to give Cody direction like whoa, you can't.
You know what I like it was like, clearly this is going to
go terribly for Cody and David'sgoing to fucking rock it, you
know? Like, you know, that's exactly
what's going to happen, which I love.

(10:32):
Yes. And then we go to Janelle and
someone is talking to her. I don't know who this person is.
It must be a new friend. I think it's a new friend, yeah,
Or maybe an old friend that she's had, but certainly a
friend, yes. A friend in a confidant.
Someone's telling Janelle to change it up.
Yeah, one of her golden girls istelling her to change it up.

(10:55):
And, you know, maybe like a new hairstyle.
When she said I think I need to get out like Janelle was like, I
think I need to get out. Janelle looked good in some of
these clips. Oh my God, she looked good when
her and Cody have dinner later on.
Oh, that's true. That's.
True, yes. So the discussion of like change

(11:16):
and whatever, that's very indicative of where she is in
her life. You know, she moved to North
Carolina, I believe it is, you know, was doing her Tata Farms,
blah, blah, blah, whatever. But you know, she's doing this
like new chapter in life thing. And so it's very aligned to
that. And then there's this scene.
What I love is after like changeit up, they do this scene of her
with beads around. Her Mardi Gras or at Mardi Gras,

(11:38):
right? In new in New Orleans at some.
Point, yeah. And like a feathered boa and
like. Dancing and.
It was once again how the show goes.
It's probably the most salaciousfootage they had of her.
So they put it in the teaser. Yes, yes.
So that's all that happened thatnight, and we already know.
We already know that she went out on the town and someone was

(11:58):
like giving her a good time. So we know that.
And then when we're transitioning out of Janelle's
scene, they have this moment between Meri and Janelle on
Zoom. I know that was so funny.
They're on this Zoom call. So I think it'll be super
curious to see how much we see the OG three, like in
communication with each other. Like, is this the only time

(12:19):
other than, well, the other timethey show us that they were
together? Like I'm curious to see what
those interactions look like. This I thought was really nice
that her and Meri were having this conversation.
With Christine not having an ownership in Coyote Pass and
being remarried, I mean she's really disconnected in other in
certain ways like certain parameters.

(12:42):
Meri and Janelle on the Zoom call, Janelle's talking about
the spiritual divorce from Cody, and I don't know if it's clear
that she's made a decision. I think she's saying that she's
decided she wants to do that. She was reconsidering it.
So initially she thought that itwasn't something that she felt
necessary to do because she didn't wasn't super strong in
her faith or something, I think at the time.

(13:04):
And she was like, I don't even, I'm not worrying about that.
But something must make her be deciding to reconsider doing
that. She must need a more official
thing. But I don't know that they say
it happened or it's happening. She just alludes to that.
And Meri was really happy for her.
She, you know, she thought that was a good thing to do and that

(13:24):
it would give some relief to Janelle.
So I think. That's with Meri having gone
through that in Season 19. She did it, and Janelle did seem
to make it. She did make it seem like it
wasn't that important to her. So for some reason it's coming
up. And you know, Janelle's first
divorce from Meri's brother, yes, was a legal divorce.
That was a legal divorce. Yes, they were legally married

(13:48):
this way. They were only eternally bonded
in their celestial, you know. Janelle's first divorce from
Meri's brother. Like we just can't forget that
that happened. But now this forever marriage in
the celestial whatnotness that can just be discarded.
So that's good to know. Then we go to the People's
couple. We get our first intimate look

(14:09):
at Cody and Robyn in this teasertogether in what I'm thinking is
their dining room. Not sure a room in their home.
But yes, before we see them in their home.
OK. There is a zoom in on a
painting. Yes, and it's a painting of a
picture. Likely commissioned painting.

(14:29):
Oh yeah, I don't think anyone intheir household did that.
You know, of or somebody on the Internet was probably like
really smart and was like, I am painting this and putting a hell
of a price tag on it and they fucking bought it, you know?
You know it was not gifted to them, you know?
The last year you could have totally got away with this with
Robyn, like you could have emailed her something been like

(14:50):
it's $1000, but it's a painting of you.
So this painting is of Cody and Robyn next to each other,
leaning on the convertible, maybe in front of the mountain.
Some background, some sort. Yeah.
Maybe where that billboard is, where he was trying to sell and
he proposed to her. I think it might be that spot

(15:11):
like Lookout Spot could. Be Yeah, there is probably a
billboard that I missed. No, but the painting struck me.
Oh yeah. And I'd like to know how much
money was invested in the painting.
And I hope some Internet sleuth figures that out someday when
this show comes out. Absolutely.
And of course it's like sister wives, Lord, this image is a

(15:33):
photo of Robyn and Cody, like you said, leaning against the
hood of his car. And they're it's silhouetted so
you can't see the details of them.
It makes this shape that's very much like lovers like and this
was their engagement photo or something to do with they were
not married yet. And that was the photo where
Christine made a comment about like, oh, do you think that they
didn't do anything before they were married?

(15:54):
Interesting. Because it's like, right, Yeah,
yeah, yeah. I love it.
So this beautiful artwork is on the wall and then yes, we do pan
out and you see Cody doing something, Robyn standing there
looking like an idiot like she always does, just kind of like
slack headed and open jawed. But she doesn't look enthused at

(16:16):
all about anything. I think this is going to be
Robyn's best. And by best, I mean worst year
yet. She looks rough.
Oh boy. She looks like she's barely
holding on as a person. Like, she looks so unhappy.
She looks miserable. And I mean, I don't necessarily

(16:38):
want her to look happy. It's just, you know, it's just
very noticeable. It's like.
Who is this woman if? We didn't know who she was.
We were just introduced to this woman.
We'd be like, what the fuck is wrong with her?
Like why is she like this? Right.
Oh my God. But what I do love is when
they're showing her there's a curio or a cabinet behind her, a
glass, you know, China hutch, and there's dollies in it.

(17:02):
There are dollies. And I'm like so happy that there
are dollies on display in the house and it was filmed and it
was in the trailer. She can finally do whatever she
wants and she does whatever she wants.
She can come out of the closet. She, just like Cody came out of
the closet many years ago, right?
And just like I did many years before that, Robyn has now come

(17:23):
out as a Dolly hoarder. And it's a beautiful thing.
Wow. Maybe she'll get that support
that she needs that financial support from, like donations of
strangers. OK, I'm stopping.
I'm stopping. I'm just rolling my eyes.
I'm just sitting here rolling myeyes because of course that's
what it's all going to be. But Cody, you know, Cody got to

(17:45):
love him, got to love him or not.
So he does this like, ha ha, flippant, walking through the
dining room to Robyn, like, oh, hey, guess what?
I got another one of those emails and she just looks at him
completely uninterested in what he has to say.

(18:05):
Like she does not want to know. She knows that nothing good is
coming from this. And he said that it was from
another woman that was interested in joining his
family. Wow.
How did Robyn respond, Chris? Did she just stare into the
distance? I was going to say dead face.
Yeah, I think. I don't know how to describe it.

(18:27):
It was like a lobotomy, like it was.
I remember thinking when that moment happened, the struggle it
must be to be with Cody every day, all the time.
So when she signed up, she got some breaks, and I think that
was good for her. And now she's getting what she
wanted or what she's reaping. Reaping what she sowed.

(18:50):
She's sowing what she reaped. Reaping what she sowed.
I love that we can never get this shit right, ever.
Ever. Yeah, she's what goes around,
comes around and it has come around and she is with Cody all
the time. And you can just even based on
this little clip, it's like thisbitch has to listen to this
crazy man's antics every day andit's just like ridden through

(19:13):
like she is barely there. Now, part of me just can't wait
to see how it actually turns outthat her response is, because I
have a feeling that this is something that is joked about
often in their house. And I think that with the
joking, there's an undertone of seriousness.
And like the second that Robyn said she would be interested in

(19:34):
it, he would go for it. And I think Robyn knows that
it's a terrible idea until he figures out some of his shit.
And so I, I just, I can't wait. I can't wait because I think
that the season is going to be full of an, a Cody apology tour,

(19:55):
which we do see some of the previews of this.
And I think that part of this ishim working his way towards
still getting another wife and their family potentially, or at
least the way they're dropping this.
They want us to think that now. I don't know but I think Robyn

(20:16):
is like. You've lost your fucking mind if
you think I'm going to go through this with you again.
Like, I don't know. And hot off the heels of Season
19, where Cody said he would notbe interested in doing polygamy,
he would not have another wife, he was not going to be
interested in that. Well, now that has completely
changed. He's.
Bored now? Well, you know, they had those

(20:39):
months together and he was like,OK, well, I he also knows.
Together at this point, but. Yes, I think he also knows that
the only way he's going to have anything after this season is if
something else happens, right? Like there can't be another
season of whatever this teaser was, right?

(21:00):
Kind of surprising we're gettingthis so.
Thank God they still had property together.
Maybe. Right, Like that's probably the
only reason. And if Cody continues, you know,
that's how he got this show in the 1st place was like I'll
marry a fourth wife and we'll film it and it'll be produced
and it'll be put on TV. He is not above marrying another
person to get more TV time like he is not.

(21:22):
And if there's women out there doing the like joining sister
wives, what not that are hittingup these men, then they're
probably he could just have a random account somewhere and be
getting message from people. Now let's also take note maybe
of his appearance in this trailer, right?

(21:43):
Because I think that clearly some efforts are being made to
attract women. I think it's weird because he's
he's also deteriorating while making these efforts.
So it's so hard to gauge for me.But there are like the four new

(22:05):
teeth. He's got 4 new front teeth at
the top. He's clear in my opinion.
I think he's on testosterone treatments, he's taking
steroids. He's doing something.
There is a neck there that was not there before.
There's something that he's doing that's trying to help him
with the buffing up and the physicality Ness that is clearly
affecting his mental health and the way he reacts to things,

(22:27):
which we will talk about later. But his appearance I feel.
Like in town is a bit red and a bit, but it's.
Different colors, like he's all over the place.
But I, but I think part of the reason I say that though, is
because I do believe that there are times that men, if their
goal is like, you know, men thatare cheating on their wives all
of a sudden start working out and that's.
Wearing skinny jeans. Yeah, and it's like, bitch, you

(22:49):
haven't lifted a weight in a decade and now you're going to
get fit or something. Like he's never been a workout
guy. So I feel like there's an
effort. Well, but I'm just saying that I
think there's an effort of that that is to put this persona out
there to get those emails and toget those things.

(23:11):
They're certainly not. Is he even a member of that
faith anymore that he, you know what I'm saying?
Like there's so many disconnectshere but I feel.
Like part of a sister wife without being part of a cult.
Well, of course, but I feel likepart of what he is doing is
trying to attract other women. He's trying to prove that he is
not old and he is not falling apart and even though three

(23:34):
wives left him, he could still have as many wives as he wants
and like there is a performance that he is doing.
Absolutely, Absolutely. Gross, Gross.
Gross, Gross. 100% So our next portion of the teaser, the
trailer is regarding our property, Coyote Pass cause of

(23:56):
course we need updates on CoyotePass.
I am. We've only been talking about it
for years, so we need some more.I am so happy that we get to see
in this season what really happens with Coyote Pass because
we've seen some news articles and things like that.
Like in theory we know what happens with the land, but to

(24:19):
get to see it on camera, how allthat process goes, I am
thrilled. And so even if this is the last
season, who knows what they end up doing.
But I'll take it because I want to see that.
I want to fucking see Meri and Janelle stand up for themselves
and say fuck you, Cody. And I want Robyn to have a hissy
fit, yes. And I want all of it to happen,

(24:40):
so I'm excited. And it feels like that might
happen. Well, that's kind of what's
indicated. Yeah, it's wonderful.
They start out this segment by having Meri talking to Jen and
saying Cody called and someone wants pieces of the land, so
only some of the land. A couple of pieces.
A couple of pieces of the land and she you know Jen asks does

(25:02):
the money go through Cody's hands and Meri says I it can't
or it. Shouldn't better not better not
go through his hands? And you would really think that
that would be kind of a fucked up way for it to happen because
in a situation where people aren't married, those things
should be paid out individually to those people.

(25:23):
This is this is not something that it should all be paid to
Cody. And then what?
It's on his honor to distribute, which is.
How he would probably prefer it.Totally.
But I can't wait to see how thatfucking plays out because Amen.
Cody tells us that they are closing soon on Coyote Pass.
So I the sense that I got was that now they like they're

(25:43):
teasing this thing about some sort of conflict with Meri and
Cody potentially or whatever. But then Cody saying that
they're closing on Coyote Pass and it seems like the whole
property, like he doesn't continue this narrative of
splitting it up. It's like, OK, we're selling and
I is he talking to Robyn at thatmoment?
It's just an. Interview moment where?
I think it was just a voice overeven.

(26:04):
Like I don't even think. So we're closing soon on Coyote
Pass and then it's Robyn. Then in the interview, fucking
Robyn. Well, what?
What does Robyn say, honey? Now, when I can't wait, because
here's the thing. So I'm I, I will read verbatim,
yes, what she says. However, I can't wait to
actually understand the full context, right?

(26:25):
Because this is the fun part about these teasers.
And so I'm like, she's saying a lot here, but I cannot fucking
wait to see what's actually happening because this is what
Robyn tells us. It's bullshit.
I'm not selling this land until everything is perfectly fair and

(26:46):
we do this the right way. Sorry.
Yeah. OK.
Yeah, it definitely comes acrossas maybe what happens is
everyone's in agreement except her.
I I'm so curious to see what shethinks is fucking fair.

(27:10):
Like this is what I cannot wait for.
Also of note, she's wearing a leopard print shirt underneath,
like a black, you know, sweater or whatever.
And I'm like, OK, are we gettingfeisty now?
I think she maybe lied about herbirthday.
I don't think she's a Libra. Girl, I'm not going to hold this
against you. You got to let it go.

(27:30):
You got to let it go. I.
Can't. There are crazy cancers out
there. Sandoval is a cancer like girl
Like it is what it is like thesepeople are terrible.
I just, everything I see about her, I'm like, this can't be
right, this can't be right. Yeah, Robyn, I mean, if she's
wearing leopard print, that's very, you know.
A ballsy for her. I think she's saying something I

(27:51):
don't. Know if Jesus would have proved
yeah, she's also being like, hey, we're open.
So she has some vibes that are in some of these clips that
look, I don't know, I don't knowwhere it's going.
I don't know, I can't wait to see.
They did their job. Now it'll be, you know, 35

(28:13):
minutes of nothing happening in an episode and 5 minutes of
something exciting happening. And that's how the whole thing
will play out, to be honest. But for right now, I'm
intrigued. Yes, yes, yes.
What is good old square face going to do?
Square face whose jaw was shavedoff quite a bit for the.
In photos, she had the Bethenny Frankel treatment on that.

(28:35):
One Oh my God. Absolutely, Absolutely.
All right. My I did love the sorry at the
end of that was just classic Robyn.
Like she's like. Shut the fuck up.
Like her shoulders go up and she's like, yes I'm a stupid
cunt, yes I am. Like I showed up and filmed the
TV show, so I deserve as much ifnot more than you guys.

(28:55):
Like, Oh my God. Lady, now I can't wait, I can't
wait. What if we eat our words?
OK. Because Cody comes up with some
crazy idea of how the land couldbe split or how they could,
let's say, rent it or something, who knows, do something fucking

(29:15):
bizarre. And Robyn is like, no, your
wives get a portion of this landand we need to do this fairly
and rightly. That's a possibility.
And Robyn does like to do that sometimes, you know, like be
like, I'm sticking up for the wives in this manipulative way.
So you know. I'm going to be very clear that

(29:37):
I will react or retract my cunt statement if that's actually
what she's doing. Somebody remind me though, yeah.
It's not on you, not on me either.
I don't know where that falls. That's what I love about these
things though, is that we have 0context, we have no information,
and we're just coming to all of these that shit crazy ideas in

(29:59):
our head because history really is why.
We can only come to the conclusions that they guide us
to and as we we can't reiterate it enough.
This is half of the season in a 2 minute.
Trailer. We know everything already,
yeah. Then we cut to a standoff at
Coyote Pass. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom,

(30:21):
boom, boom, boom, boom boom boom, boom boom, boom boom and.
Final showdown, yes, they said. I think Janelle or somebody.
Janelle, the final showdown. Janelle says it's the final
showdown, which was, you know, Amen.
OK. Robyn has another lovely quote
at the beginning of this we're back on the couch moment with

(30:44):
Angry Robyn, which I enjoy, and she said something about there's
more effort put into creating pain and hurting each other.
It makes me angry, yes, and she's angry.
She's angry now. She really was pissed.
I'm wondering what meds she was on and what they tapered her off

(31:05):
of 'cause I feel like they've done a lot of like you know,
they talk about getting your cocktail.
I feel like they've been gettingher cocktail for like 5 years
now because it's all over the place.
Like now she's angry and has like a little bit of fire in her
voice. The last three years she sounded
like she was comatose and like, I can barely speak about any of
these things. And now she's angry and she's

(31:27):
mad and she's like. But these are also, as you
pointed out, probably the only two moments of emotion in the
entire season. So.
So we've got him. Cut to two seconds later.
She's like, I just can't even doit anymore.
Like, Oh my gosh, their production knows.
They're like, we've got to give her three days so we can get
like 1 sound bite out of her. Like just prop her up in a chair

(31:47):
for 20 minutes once a day. Oh.
My God. I skipped by pretty quickly
there though. Of like the visual of the
standout at Coyote Pass so, well, this wasn't bizarre.
Yes, at this they are out on theproperty and of course they're
doing like some drone shot or whatever.
So when they're showing the group, there's Cody and Robyn
and Janelle and Meri, and it looks like there's a fifth

(32:09):
person there. Like someone may be standing
with someone standing by either one of those parties.
And I didn't stop and like investigate, but there was
somebody else there. So I'm curious to see who that
is. Maybe one of the older kids or
something. That could be.
I was also like, is Jen getting her nosy nose in there?
Oh my God, that'd be. Great.
I they wouldn't Cody would be like, I'm not showing up, but
that would be so good. It would be that would be so

(32:30):
good. Yes, because for as much as Jen
kind of drives me crazy, she is that woman that would show up
and be like, oh really? What are we talking about?
Like Oh my God, that would be sofunny.
And not be afraid to ask clarifying questions
uncomfortably. Yeah, like we're not making any
assumptions here. So good.
Then they're going to transitioninto what I lovingly refer to as

(32:52):
the reconciliation of Cody, where he is.
And you said it earlier, what did you say?
Apology tour His apology tour. Yeah, he's going on an apology
tour, Yeah. Because he's been a.
Fucking asshole for a few years.About 5 specifically, more if we
want to go back really, but for sure 5.

(33:13):
Yeah, yeah. Ever since COVID it was a new
kind of asshole. Correct.
You know, as we transitioned into this next part of the
trailer, Cody says, I would lovehealing with Meri.
I would love healing with Janelle.
I would love healing with Christine.
And it's like, OK, here we go into his redemption snippets.
And he it's interesting because he his hair's pulled back and he

(33:38):
not pulled back in a ponytail, but it's just like combed back
and he looks very kind of reserved and he's kind of doing
that little bit of like his, he's being as human as he can
be. I.
Think if you believe that he actually has emotions that
include regret and actual care and feeling about other people

(33:59):
and not just himself. If you believe that he's capable
of doing those things, you wouldwatch this clip and go, well,
it's about fucking time, you said.
This. Yeah, yeah.
Now I don't I'd love, I'd love to take a poll and see who
believes that Cody's apology to.Her.

(34:19):
Yeah, we'll do it. We'll do that.
Genuine. Yeah, yeah.
But he is beginning it for his own healing.
He. Absolutely is.
It is about himself. And it is funny because if it
wasn't Cody and it was someone else that I didn't know so much
about and I heard them saying these things, I would be like,
oh, yeah. Like, they must be trying to do

(34:40):
something. Like, you know, even if it's
like a level of understanding, like something.
But because it's him, it's like, don't get fooled by this.
Like, nothing is that like, thisis completely made-up.
It's ridiculous. He needed another season of the
TV. It's just for this.
Is all we needed. It's just for TV.
Christine, they can they go to her and David like walking in
the woods or something. I feel like they're at like

(35:01):
Janelle's property for some reason, but I could be wrong
about that. And she says I don't want to
talk to Cody ever again. Like that's, that's Christine's
feelings. No, I'm good.
I'm good. And then we're back to Meri
talking to Jen. So apparently Meri spends this
entire season with Jen. Well, I was going to say, Jen

(35:21):
got quite a few shout outs in this trailer.
Quite a few. Yes, I hope she's getting paid
from production. I know I'm like very involved.
Very involved we are. Yes, and Jen asks Meri how much
longer until you realize that he's just an ass and.
I can't wait to hear the answer to that question.

(35:42):
Yeah, I cannot wait to hear the full context because oh boy,
yeah. Like is Meri still making
excuses up for Cody and like, rationalizing his totally
inappropriate behavior? I can only picture her saying
something along the lines of, well, I'm really just being
hopeful that he's going to do the right thing, of course,
because, you know, he blah blah blah.

(36:05):
Second verse, same as the first with her.
Yes. And Jen's like you fucking
idiot, don't. No, no, no.
And also Janelle is talking to Maddie now and she says he wants
to see me and I want to tell himthat we'll never be friends so
OK. And Maddie's I got a newborn on
her teeth. Yes, well, wasn't literally on
her teeth. No laying on her bosom.

(36:27):
It was laying on her. There's some bosom things that
that family and so. That I did question.
I think it's funny you point that out because I questioned
like, is she breastfeeding rightnow?
And then I was like, Oh no, there's a shirt there for sure.
But the baby was definitely laying as if it could have been
being breastfed. Maybe there was like a little
hole in the shirt or something. Who knows?
But well, Maddie, don't do. Not put that she looked better
than ever. Do not leave that in there.

(36:49):
That's terrible. Like Mean Girls, it's.
Like, horrible. So yeah, I mean, you know, Mandy
looked beautiful. I thought she looked great.
She looked like $1,000,000. Sure, yeah.
And then followed by these kind of what's going on with the
wives perspective is the clips of Cody with each one of them

(37:09):
having their conversation or a clip from their conversation.
We start with Cody and Christine.
And David? Now is he at the table?
David is at the table. OK?
Of course, Christine doesn't go anywhere without David.
David, see, this is The thing islike I was like there's somebody
else there, right, David, I was.There.
The 2nd that it was there. I think it panned David first,

(37:30):
then to Christine, then to Cody, and maybe didn't go back to
David, but he was certainly there, sitting next to Christine
at that table. At that table.
OK, yeah. And you know, Cody says he wants
to apologize. With all my heart.
And I just love the expression that they show on Christine's
face in the clip. Who knows what it actually was
in real life at that time, but in a clip of her just like kind

(37:52):
of that pensive waiting look that she has.
Just like, can't wait to hear what this is.
Can't wait to hear what this is right now.
Again, if we felt like Cody actually was capable of
apologizing and meaning it and understanding what he did wrong
and the pain that he caused to others and actually feeling
regret and things like that about it, this would be lovely.

(38:16):
I cannot wait to see this play out in real life.
And that's probably all there isto it.
And she's probably like, thanks, that was really nice.
OK, bye. Like, that's probably what
happens. They probably spent eight times
more time talking about the lunch then there actually is a
lunch. 100 a hundred. He put on a good show, though,
in that one second we heard him apologizing, I guess.
So we'll see how that goes. I can't wait.

(38:38):
I can't wait. Yeah.
And then next on his apology tour is Janelle.
Oh yeah, yeah. Also at dinner, yeah, boy, does
she look like a smoke show. The smoke show looks so fucking
good at this dinner. Yeah, yeah.
Ohh. My gosh.

(38:59):
They're all looking good this season.
OK well except Robyn but the other three really had to glow
up and Janelle looks fine and I am just like.
And look. And so happy for her that she
gets to show up for a conversation like this looking
great. So good.
So that it's like, yeah, that's right, you thought I was just

(39:19):
some throwaway bitch and look atme.
And she looks so natural and so light and so happy, like just
the exact way we want to see Janelle is what I saw in that
clip. And I hope that's how it is all
season. Very true, very true.
Cody comes clean about what he said when he said that he didn't
love her, he said that wasn't true.

(39:41):
And then they showed Janelle's reaction to it.
And it's interesting now, of course, because it's a teaser.
Is it her directory action? Maybe not.
But she's smiling, smirking, emotional.
What's happening with her face? I think she is doing a knowing

(40:04):
nod, OK. She is nodding with him and
listening to what he is saying and going.
I hear what you're saying. Yeah.
And yeah, you fucking idiot, I know you love me like you
fucking idiot, you know? Knowing look.
It was it was it almost. Felt like there was some sort of
emotional thing happening and I don't know.

(40:26):
I I didn't get that. I got all and I could be wrong,
we'll see what happens. But I got all like, yeah, you
idiot. Do you think I believe anything
you get out there and say like, I lived it, I was there, I know
what happened. You can paint it however you
want. I paint it accurately.

(40:47):
I do us justice and painting it the correct way.
And you're an asshole. And I know that now, you know,
like. Even the situation happening
right now, yes, is what is to beexpected of you.
Yes. And so, yes, you're trying to
fix the family. And I feel like Janelle, what
she probably says after her knowing, you know, whatever nod
is. Oh, Cody, I know.

(41:10):
I know you love me. I know what we had.
Yeah. Yeah.
You know, like, I think that's what she says like is oh, Cody,
I know. And like, OK, fine.
Thanks for the apology I guess. Yeah, if that's your apology.
Like. Yeah, that will be, that will be
another good conversation to seewhat they give us.
Cannot. Wait, you know.

(41:30):
Cannot wait. And then of course we get Meri's
moment with Cody because she hasto have her moment with Cody.
And Cody says I'm not trying to make us back together in any
way. Meri and she says.
We are never, ever, ever gettingback together.
Yes. And it was a fun moment.

(41:50):
The first time I saw it, I was like, oh, girl.
Because, you know, oftentimes. Did like a fist pump.
Yes, we did a fist pump. Yes.
Because, you know, Meri does tryto have funny, clever things.
And often times they fall on thelike to me, like preschool
level, like elementary school, middle school, you know, like,
Oh yeah, you're so funny, you'reso clever.
But every once in a while there's an alignment.

(42:12):
And it's kind of like when we give her mustard seeds.
And it's like, you earned this, Meri.
But like, be careful. She's just one step over and she
could be that could have gone terribly, could have gone
terribly. But it was like, OK, that's a
moment. Good for you that that's a
trailer moment for Meri. It totally is fair that it was
in there. And also, again, can't wait to

(42:34):
get the context because I feel like whatever he was saying
there, you know, about how he knows they wouldn't get back
together in some fashion, he is waiting for her to respond with,
oh, but Cody, I've missed you somuch.
You know, like in some fashion that's he's kind of trying to

(42:58):
open the door for a conversationto something like that.
And she is like, I'm not fallingfor your bullshit.
We know this is not happening. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever.
Are we getting back together? Yeah.
And good for her. Yeah, absolutely.
Good for her, and she looked great saying it too.

(43:21):
Well, and I she did look good. She looked great.
She looked, she looked great. What crossed my mind was I was
going, is this an unsupervised visit?
Where's Robyn? Where's Robyn?
Going right next. To Cody.
Yeah. Hold on, Meri.
Let me translate what Cody saying to you.
Like what you really mean is yeah, you don't mean never,

(43:42):
ever, ever getting back together.
Cody, what she means is there's still a chance.
I mean, you know, she's just so cringe.
And so I'm really hoping she's not there because that's where I
feel like these conversations could go that way because
remember the breakup scene? Well I feel like she was at
least there at some point and maybe exited and gave them 3

(44:04):
minutes alone together. This is what I was going to say.
The picnic table where she's trying to like help them to like
get their things back on the track and they're Meri's like
we're breaking up right now. Like we're actually like, this
is going to be the official end of our marriage conversation.
And like, I'm really sorry this is hard for you, Robyn.
Remember that because she. Like held her hand and was like
consoling Robyn. So sorry me ending my marriage

(44:28):
is hard for. You bitch, I haven't talked to
you in like 4 months or something you know what I mean?
Like it's just so crazy. That conversation was so cringe.
So if this is 1 where we get to have those real moments again
between Meri and Cody and if shegets to rock that, I'm looking
forward to it. I'm looking forward to that.
And I know I told you when we were watching it, she like

(44:49):
frames her face with her hands while she's speaking.
And I was like, oh, she's putting on a show.
She's got that life of a showgirl.
And I was like, oh, look at me, my Taylor Swift tie in I.
Know I feel like you've you've upped your Swifty education.
Well, I'm aware of some things and you know, she she did say
that they were never, ever, ever.

(45:10):
Ever. Going to get back together.
But like, really? No, not like, ever.
Well, The thing is, is it's whatstruggles about Meri's.
I feel like if he was like I'm dropping everything and coming
back to you, she'd be like, really Cody?
Like I kind of feel like she still would so.
I don't. Well, Nope.
I think she has seen the light and there will be no revisiting.

(45:33):
Well, and I hope that you are right about that.
After this we get 4 dramatic shots, which is so great of each
of the wives, like a quasi closeup, just like one of like like
1/2 a second form, form, form, form.
And the last one ends on Robyn and it's the most drawn out one.
It lasts for at least twice as long as everybody else's.

(45:56):
And she looks awful. And she also looks like
menacing, like she has this lookon her face of like I'm dozing
off and I'm maniacal and my headis detaching from my body like
it's just crazy. Well, I thought they all looked
unamused, right? There was not.

(46:16):
These weren't happy bubbly shots.
These were like, like most of their faces were the.
Yeah, give me a. Break fuck up.
Yeah. You're fucking kidding me.
Yeah. Faces like.
Which is great to come off of the redemption arc like Amen.
Well, and then preempt what's coming, truly.
Yeah, because. But they did not give Robyn any

(46:37):
justice in that part. And I was happy about it like I
was if I was imagining for a second being Robyn and watching
the you know, when you are thesetalent, you're sent a trailer
like, you know, whenever beforehand, like you'll see it
beforehand. But at some point there's no
edits. Like there's nothing you can say
to anyone to make something out there.
Yes, at this point, yes, it's out there beforehand.

(46:59):
Like, she saw it, and I'm imagining being her for the
first time. And, like, if I was in her
shoes, there's certain parts where, yeah, they take sound
bites and they do whatever. She's been on TV for a hot
minute. She knows how it works.
But that clip of her face, like,I would have been like, really?
You use that Like, Oh my God. I feel like it's a face that she
makes often though in her couch moments.

(47:21):
Like I don't think it's an abnormal face for her.
It's not new, no. We could find some screenshots
on the Internet that are the same thing.
You have to decide like a brokenmoron.
Like, I don't even think her picture stuck with me as much as
the others because I was just like, they are like, we don't
buy this bullshit anymore. And yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely

(47:43):
phenomenal. So crazy.
So they have this long drawn outmoment for Robyn and then we go
to Cody. Oh God.
And it's it's everyone's favorite part of this promo.
And TLC saved it for the end forus because they know what
they're doing. And I don't know, should I, how
should we go about even talking about this?
Should I just read the quote? And we like, what do you want to

(48:06):
do? Do you want to do it?
Do you want to give it some theatrical justice?
I think you should start with the quote.
He says, listen, I have this wife named Robyn and she would
never let me do anything naughtyas bad as I want to do it.
So his inflection at the beginning was similar to that.

(48:27):
Like it was like just kind of a statement but the as bad as I
want to do it. It was like there was a grunt to
it. His body was overtaken by an
evil spirit. Yeah, there were veins popping.
Veins popping, new angles forming in his face like his
face shapes changes. Odd.
It's creepy as fuck and it literally reminded me of like

(48:50):
demonic possession. There was some weird eye roll,
like his eyes rolled into the back of his head for a moment.
He has the new teeth, which we're still getting used to, and
then this like neck that is happening.
And so there's like all of this energy at the camera about him

(49:13):
being naughty. As bad as he wants.
To do but because she won't let him be naughty, but he wants to
be naughty like we don't we don't know what he wants to be
naughty about. We don't actually want to know.
This actually shouldn't have seen the light of day and it's
right here for us. The the worst part is that he

(49:37):
ends it. You mentioned demonic a moment
ago, and that's pretty accurate. There's this cackle.
Yeah. And it's.
I can't even. I can't replicate it.
No, I guess if I would like whatwas it?

(50:01):
It was not that, but it was. Aubrey Plaza could probably.
Do it totally. But, you know, it also reminded
me of if someone was to ask Jim Carrey in the 90s to use his
crazy voice but make it like maniacal and evil.
That's what it sounded like. It sounded.
Like you're going to find that and drop that in here, I bet.
I bet that's what's going to happen.

(50:22):
But it's just. It was awful.
It was. Awful.
It was awful it was. It's uncomfortable to watch.
So to, to figure out what's going on with this man right now
will be very interesting. That was off putting.
It was not a good look. He had some like the the moments

(50:45):
when he was at the dinners with the wives on his apology tour.
He looked OK again, we should cut the hair off, but like he
looked OK. He didn't like he was on his
best appearance at that point. This is not that this is scary.
This is did you forget to take your meds today?

(51:05):
This is uncomfortable. Yes.
What it hearkened to me was whenwe have these people in reality
shows particularly, but pop culture, entertainers, blah blah
blah, where you start watching their life kind of really
falling apart, like their mentalhealth.

(51:26):
Britney Spears bald moment. And yeah, like, I think about,
well, there's so many. And the first one that came to
my mind was like Whitney Houston.
But where people start having these behaviors where it's like,
this is not right. Like this is not, this isn't how
a person would just talk about something like that.
Was literally unhinged mentally cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs.
Hinged. And it's weird to say this about

(51:49):
a man who's lost three wives, who's broken up a family, has
several children. He doesn't talk to a child who
did UN alive themselves. And there's a lot of connection
between a lot of things having to do with his relationship with
his father. There's a lot of crap that has
happened to this man that has been televised and we know
about. And yet at this point, I'm still

(52:10):
going, God, is he going to make this turn now into literal
falling apart? Like falling apart and they're
filming it like mentally going crazy.
I think there's going to be a lot of ups and downs.
I think it's going to be a roller coaster as most of the
seasons are, right. Like as even the first three

(52:31):
seasons that we've rewatched or starting the third now, like
they're all roller coasters. There's all weird shit that
happens. But now when we know where
they're at at this moment, like it's like, can't you plateau at
some point and just host like, well, not me, just.
Once again, this isn't his firstseason.
He's been doing this for a hot minute.
He sits in front of a camera anddoes shit like that, knowing

(52:54):
that it's going to be a sound bite if he's crazy enough.
So is it planned? I don't even think it could be
planned. That was like, that was so
gross. It was.
Yeah. Well, I'm glad they got it on
camera. Yeah, way disturbing.
TLC gave it to us in a trailer, so it's a moment and it's
probably going to be in the show.

(53:15):
We are here and waiting. Countdown is happening in
internally at this point, but weare counting down and I think I
thoroughly enjoyed it and so they did their jobs right today.
Yes, we are interested in the season.

(53:35):
You know, We also, like we've been saying, we know that it's
going to be a lot of bullshit because we have been watching
Sister Wives for a hot minute. So we know what to expect, but
at least there's some things happening.
Which is great. Gosh, if we had created a
drinking game of our episodes like they do on like Watch What
Happens Live or something bullshit should have been our

(53:56):
word for tonight. Because once Robyn said it, we
we continued that throughout. And thank you, Robyn.
Thanks Robyn, because I forget that or it exists sometimes and
I do like it I. Don't use it, but now I'm like.
Bullshit. It's bullshit.
Oh, and then it. Robyn's having a positive
influence on us. Also if you would like to harken

(54:17):
back to the the greatest movie of all time, 4th greatest movie
of all time, How to lose a guy in 10 days where they play this
card game called bullshit on thedeck bullshit.
Like OK, I remember playing bullshit when I was young.
I don't think I ever got to playit saying bullshit.
What was the real? What was the the the non way to

(54:40):
say it like? I only knew of bullshit.
I don't think I ever. I don't know.
Yeah, there's some like school friendly version.
I think so, yeah. Yeah, I could be making this up.
Well then. We've lost.
We've lost more brain cells. Robyn has taken over our bodies.
God damn it, Robyn. Bullshit.

(55:03):
It's all bullshit. Bring me the Dolly.
All I see is a Dolly like zooming towards my face with
wide open eye. Yep.
Well, Robyn, you know a horror film.
Like you could base a horror film around her.
And on that note. Yeah, The only other yes, well,

(55:26):
the only other thing that I wanted us to talk about was the
ending graphic, right it. Was so crazy.
They do the whole like still image brought up from the side
in the back in the pan and the gloss.
And then there's a, you know, sister wives text over the
image, but it's Robyn on the left, Cody on the right.
I don't know if it was chest up.I'm not sure how close, but they

(55:47):
were close and then a space between them were.
Foreground. So they're in the.
Foreground close up, yes. And in the background are the OG
3 and Christine's in the middle,yeah.
He's flicking me off right now. I'm doing the fingers, I'm
flicking. Alley off right now, me off.
Christine's in the middle and then, you know, there's Meri on
the side and Janelle on the side.

(56:07):
And I hate the way they do theirgraphics because they're always
trying to hide them behind each other in different ways.
And it's like, just let them be.Like it's annoying.
But the OG three are in the background and it's like are
Cody and Robyn the main characters now in the OG three
are just supporting? Cast, I know, and I'm so curious
about what that means that therethere is a lot spoken in that

(56:30):
graphic. Yeah, I I do wonder what this
means for the cadence of the show and who we see the most of.
Yes, and what they're expecting for the future.
You know, there's a lot of people out there that like to
say, oh, you know, get Robyn andCody off the show.
I just want to see the OG three, blah, blah, blah.
And I stand by the perspective of like those 3 cannot carry a

(56:51):
show. We're not going to watch Janelle
plant some flowers. We're not going to watch
Christine do whatever she's doing setting up vacation
rentals. We're not going to watch Meri do
this, whatever she's doing. That's not a show.
So the conflict characters are Cody and Robyn.
They're the ones we all hate. They have to be there.
Without them, there's not a show.
But is this a nod to like they are going to?

(57:14):
They're the most interesting people in the season as far as
from ATV producer's perspective. And that they would be anything
you would continue with. I'm going to wager a prediction,
OK? And my prediction is this.
I think Cody's apology tour is going to end.
And Cody at a moment of peace and clarity.

(57:37):
God will speak. To him, God will speak to him
again on his 54th birthday. I don't know how old he is now.
So good though, on his 54th birthday.
A week before. Well, it just depends on
whatever. It is your birthday present in a
week. Just depends on when they record
it so God will speak to him and say, Cody, I am so sorry that

(58:00):
those other three bitches didn'twork out for you, but I really
have faith in you and I'm going to give you another shot.
Yeah. I'd like you to take another
second wife. Yeah, absolutely.
And then I think OG 3 slide out,we button them up, they're
getting their spin offs or theirother deals or their this or
their that. And so they're fine.

(58:23):
And now we just have Cody and Robyn and totally.
So it's it, it's like not season21, right?
OK. It's kind of season 21.
It could be, but it's like Sister Wives 2.0.
Right. And do you know what I'm saying?

(58:44):
Yeah, like how do you have it bethe same show with a minority of
the cast still there? Yeah, and.
What would the family dynamics be like?
Because who? What kids are going to
participate? In that would just be robbed His
kids, his other kids will pop inand out here and there for some
cash. OK, Mckelty, will she'll be
there. She'll be like, oh, I got an
idea for you. And everyone will be like, go

(59:05):
away. But at the very least, I think
this is the goal. Like I think that this is the
goal. I feel that.
And because they can't continue, how could they go?
I think season 20 is a good button up.
And then whatever comes past this will be new contracts, new
people, new this, new that. But I think it's almost obvious

(59:28):
that he starts to push for another wife.
I think that is very reasonable and it's funny that there was
already a show called Seeking Sister Wife or whatever, because
that conceptually would be what it is.
Totally, totally. And seeking replacement wife
number? Yeah.
One of the good news is Cody hears the voice from God, but he

(59:49):
can also use the narrative that they've been using since the
beginning of time, which is thatthe struggle is part of the
journey. So this was all part of his
journey he had. God was putting him through the
trenches and he's overcome it. He's been saved.
Yeah, yeah, he's been saved again.
He gets saved all the time. Oh, Cody.
From his own bad behavior. Yeah, OK mom, that's true.

(01:00:15):
But that graphic, The other thing too is the Photoshop work
is insane. So Oh my God, this fan.
Space has never looked that smooth.
Robyn and Cody are photoshopped to hell it.
Is insane. Insane.
Like they look good, don't get me wrong, but they don't look
real. It's almost like, it's almost

(01:00:35):
like you have that photo that you edit just so closely to the
point that they start to look cartoon character.
Yeah, but not yeah, like just real enough.
Yes. Like the earrings and the eyes
and the brows and the 0 wrinklesof any sort and the no movement.

(01:01:00):
Yeah. Almost cartoony, yeah.
The focus points are eyes, jewelry, hair where they keep it
literally in focus and like sharp in detail.
Removing jaws but. Removing any inflections or
changes or differences in skin and whatnot.
Cody is so. I'd love to see a side by side

(01:01:20):
of Robyn's face and then from like other moments and like for
real like her in a real moment and then that fucking photo.
Yeah, like from the same trailer, we could literally pull
her face and put it next to thatthat that's a good.
Idea and look, we're not pretending that we don't do this
to ourselves too, right? Like it's, I mean, we know, we
added, we make ourselves look asgood as we can.

(01:01:41):
OK, what? I like to say, I like to say
People magazine 1998, if you're making yourself look like you
could be in People magazine in 1998, they did airbrushing, but
you were not Kardashianized likeyou.
Like I'm not. I'm not squeezing in my cheeks
and pretending there's stuff that isn't there and I'm not.
Changing, cartoonizing or. Literally.

(01:02:02):
It's weird. And you know, Robyn's eyes are
that glow in the dark white likethey have white.
Like they literally made them FFFFF white.
And I think like took the finest, finest little pencil and
like extended the white as much as they could.
Yes. Do you know what I mean?
Like literally like, let's give as much like.
Yeah, super attention to detail.Yeah, it's crazy, Alicia.

(01:02:25):
And her skin is like porcelain. Like her dolls.
Yes, I thought she looked like one of her dollies.
And like one of the earrings on one side, like if it was a
regular photo, you would barely notice that there's an earring
there. But they took, like a white line
and, like, outlined the thing sothat the earring glowed, you
know? And it was like, stop, yeah,
it's a lot, guys. It's a lot.

(01:02:45):
It's a lot. So crazy photoshopped.
There's also like mountains background.
It's funny because they used to use Coyote Pass as a background
and now there's just mountains. Like they're in the West, which
is fitting. But we also get some more
dramatic and then the whole like, you know, here we are
sister wise, blah, blah, blah. Overall, I mean, I thought it
was an entertaining trailer. It made me go, Oh my gosh, I'm

(01:03:05):
excited that another seasons coming, even though I'm going to
regret that. We're not even be done with the
first episode and I'm going to be like, why are we doing this?
We're going to be immediately annoyed, but right now we are
super excited. Yes, it's true the teaser is
teasing, so good job TLC. Totally.
Like we talked about earlier, we're going to be recapping the

(01:03:28):
season 20 episodes in the week that it comes out, so this is a
first for us. We've only been doing the
rewatch, so now we're going to be jumping into current times,
which will be very fun and we hope that you guys enjoy it and
we'll see you on the flip side.
