The alarming rate of pregnancy-related deaths and complications among black women in the U.S. exposes the grave disparities in the maternal healthcare system. This stark inequality, primarily attributed to systemic racism and bias, necessitates urgent intervention. Education, awareness, and open conversations form the bedrock of reducing these disparities, empowering black women to seek appropriate care and advocate for themselves. 

In a powerful and emotional discussion, four remarkable women shared their personal journeys and expertise on Black maternal health disparities, but what they revealed was beyond anything we could have imagined. Stay tuned as we unravel the remarkable tales of resilience and advocacy.

Tynece Allen, a passionate doula and student midwife, brings a wealth of experience in advocating for women during labor. Dr. Kendra Outler and Dr. Sameena Rahman, with their expertise in maternal health care, offer valuable insights into reducing disparities in black maternal health.
