In season 3, episode 14, I am speaking about the TV show David Makes Man. David Makes Man is executively produced by Oprah and Michael B Jordan. It was created by the Academy Award-winning screenwriter Tarell Alvin McCraney, who is known for the movie Moonlight. The show is a coming-of-age story that centers on a teenage prodigy named David who lives in the Projects, Homestead Village, in South Florida but attends a magnet school for academically gifted students. David is struggling with living in two words. He must be tough to make it on the streets of his neighborhood, and he must be his best in school to make it out of poverty. I am sharing this story to show that not everyone has it easy when they are on the journey to becoming the best version of themselves.
