One of the scariest parts about our human existence is realizing that we have the responsibility to get to know ourselves. Though looking within and processing our feelings can be uncomfortable, as it stirs up unwanted emotions, long-term it empowers you to build a life that serves you, instead of just following the pack, which eventually leads you into a dead-end.
In this episode of No Ducks Given Podcast, we'll be discussing the benefits behind processing your emotions, from the perspective of artist, poet, actor and studio 368 creator, Mickey Roberts.
Mickey has become his own master at observing and communicating his feelings. Since he was a kid, he's externalized his emotions through his paintings and poems. What started off as something fun, and almost like a form a therapy, has now become his career, and he hopes to help others communicate their own emotions through his art.
We hope that after today's episode, you can understand the benefits of processing your feelings, while also being encouraged to explore new methods to do so, let it be by writing, painting, acting... it's ultimately up to you to decide what's the healthiest way to do that. And remember: enjoy the journey. You won't figure it out right away, and that's completely normal.
