A Leitrim councillor is expressing concern this morning with the reported detail in the Government's new housing plan.
Yesterday, the Cabinet signed off on the strategy which aims to deliver 300 thousand homes by 2030.
The Taoiseach says it will be the most "unprecedented" investment in housing ever.
It was due to be released in the summer but has been delayed by almost 5 months.
Opposition parties say the policy is just rejigged from earlier plans and won't tackle the homelessness crisis.
It's being speculated that there will be a commitment to fund 12,000 social homes a year in a bid to tackle the homelessness crisis.
Leitrim Sinn Fein Councillor Brendan Barry says it lacks any specific measures to address the shortage in Leitrim.
The Drumshanbo Councillor says there is little mentions of any measures to address concerns over planning and waste waters issues which have reduced the number of new houses being built in the North West.
