Chitt knows how to look sharp—mullet, “Git-R-Done” shirt, and skin bronzed like smoked ham. So when he decides to soak up some sunshine at Possum Creek, things get a little too well done. Four hours later, Chitt wakes up redder than a baboon’s behind at hot yoga, skin tighter than leather, and creaking like an old couch. Between pokes from Skeeter and an epic steam bath in the kiddie pool, this slow-cooked redneck learns the hard way: always wear sunscreen… or at least slather on some Crisco for an even tan. Because no matter how crispy life tries to make you, you dust off, moisturize, and keep strutting like a rotisserie king.
Moral: When life slow-cooks you, rise up and keep that sizzle alive.
