like to be stuck in highschool for eternity? Or how a teen
ghost might solve the mysteryof her own disappearance? To find
out, you have to join us as weunearth the secrets of a captivating
series created by Megan andNate Trinrud that explores the mysteries
(00:20):
in the haunting world ofschool Spirits, now in its thrilling
second season on ParamountPlus. I'm your host, Michael Hurst.
I'm here with my lovely wifeand co host Diane.
Hello.
Welcome to one more thingbefore you go over the decup Sunday
with Michael and Diane. Hello, Diane.
(00:53):
Hello, Michael.
I know we're talking aboutschool spirits and why did I do the,
the, the. What the heck wasthe name of the show with Audrey
Hepburn or she teaching herhow to, how to speak good English?
Oh, it's world famous. It'sworld famous.
Caitlyn, Caitlin would hate usright now because it's one of her
(01:15):
favorite movies. Yeah, yeah,it'll come to me.
Okay, governor, we'll figureit out later. Oh, God, I'm supposed
to speak that way. Well, okay.It's. I'm excited to be here. I know
you're excited to be here. It's a great day. So for everybody
that is listening andwatching, thank you very much for
(01:36):
listening and watching becausewe know it's the Super Bowl.
Yeah, Super Bowl Sunday.
Yeah, Super Bowl Sunday. Weexcited you have your. Is it you
say 1978 Super Bowl?
No, 1998.
1998. 78.
Yes, 1998.
(01:56):
Boy, did I regress way back.
Yeah, well, I think they were.I think Denver was in the Super Bowl.
I started watching Denver in77. I want to say that's when they
were in the Super Bowl. Icould be wrong. Anyway, they won
in 98 and there was anotheryear they won, I think.
(02:18):
Yes. Like, and then theydidn't get the three Pete because
they kind of lost. But then Ithink Peyton Manning took them back.
You know, so they've beenthere three times. They sent me there
three times in a row.
In a row. Right. Which theChiefs are trying for. We'll see.
Sarah, I'm not really rude. Idon't really. We don't have a dog
in the fight, so whatever. But.
(02:40):
But we do have a dog in the house.
Yeah, we do, Charlie. Andwe're going to watch the Puppy Bowl.
And we're going to watch PuppyBowl. Exactly. So a little something
for everybody. But that's notwhat we're here for today. We're
here for an Absolutely.Favorite show. And Nicole's going
to be mad because we didn'tinvite her into this conversation,
(03:00):
but I'm sorry. Oh, shoot.
She's. Yeah, she's reallygoing to be mad at us.
She's going to be mad, but I can't.
She loves the show.
Yeah, she really does. Sowe'll give it. See, there's an endorsement.
There's three endorsementsbefore we get started.
Yeah.
Yeah. Well, I'll tell you,IMDb has it right when they said
in school spirits High schoolisn't just a phase, it's an eternity.
(03:23):
Which back in high school kindof felt that way, I think just a
little bit. Yes, it did.
Yes.
At times. At times. For MattieNeares, a 16 year old girl who finds
herself newly deceased. SplitRiver High becomes an afterlife limbo.
Trapped within the schoolwalls, Maddie discovers she's joined
by others who have died thereover the past 100 years. Unlike her
(03:44):
spectral companions, Maddiecan still communicate with the living.
It's an ability she uses toinvestigate her own mysterious murder.
Or is it murder?
Or is it dun dun dun.
Sounds exciting, doesn't it?
It's very exciting.
It, it is, it is. Yes. I, Ithink that is something that when
(04:08):
we first started watching it,we, we are familiar with one of the
stars. Everybody, anybodythat's watched Cobra Kai is familiar
with Peyton List and you know, she's done a few things after that
which I think are pretty cool, including one where she is a ghost.
It ends up going back and wewon't give the plot away of that
(04:29):
one. But she's going toanother show. But it's a cute show.
It's a cute movie. But she'san incredible talent. She really
is.
She is.
She kind of shows off her, hertalents. Here is an amazing storyline,
an incredible talented castincluding Peyton List, as we just
said, as Matty Nears, KristenVentura as Simon Elroy, Spencer McPherson
(04:51):
as Xavier Baxter, ChiaroPichardo as Nicole Herrera. Mil Manheim,
who we all know from Dancingwith the Stars and he is the son
of Cameron Manheim. CameronManheim, Yes.
But he was also. He's a hugeDisney star.
Yeah, exactly. He was a hugeDisney star.
(05:11):
Huge Disney star. Yes. He'sawesome. He's also, he's also somebody
that is going to be around fora very, very long time.
A long time. He's good. Heplays Wally Clark, football player.
Sarah Yarkin is Rhonda Nick.Brad Pugliesi as Charlie Rainbow
Woodell as Claire Zollmer andZosh Zuckerman. As Mr. Martin, you
know, as I said earlier, itwas created by Megan Tinrud and Nate
(05:35):
Trinrud. They actually createdfrom a graphic novel series and then
adapted it to the TV series, which, you know, I'm happy for.
Yeah, I. It doesn't getenough. I don't even know if anybody's
really heard of it. Like it.You don't really see anything about
it because really it doesn'tget enough credit. It doesn't get
(05:57):
enough advertising. I meanpeople need to know about the show.
It is fantastic.
Well, we started watching itbecause obviously we love the paranormal
anyway. We love anythingsupernatural. Paranormal. And when,
you know, we serve first sawthe, the trailer for it, it's like,
yeah, we gotta watch this.
I think I would highlyrecommend if somebody starts watching
(06:21):
the show that you binge watch,is a very benchable show. And the
thing is, is that they haveweek, they come out every week. So
I don't know. I almost wish wehad saved up this season. I wish
we'd saved up and not startedwatching it yet so that we could
just binge it in a weekend.Because it's so bingeable. Because
(06:43):
it's so hard to wait a week now.
It is. They. They tease uslike that. And it. And I hate when
they do that because even whenyou binge watch it, it's great to
binge.
It's great to binge.
We've talked about thisbefore. It's a double edged sword
because you can bingeeverything right off the bat and
you have one long continuousmovie but at the same time you're
(07:04):
up till four or five in themorning because you can't get to
sleep because you just bingewatched a whole damn series.
Yeah. Or you just can't go tobed because you've got to see what
happens next.
I got to see what happens.Even though we can stop it and come
back and finish watching it inour minds and our hearts and our
souls connected to it, we gotto say no, no, no, no, no, no. We
(07:25):
have to know what's going tohappen next.
And since we could be grownupsand go to bed like normal grownups
to do that.
Who wants to do that? Youknow, it. It's pretty cool. It was
introduced in 2023. 2024.2024. Yeah.
(07:50):
Anyway, I was thinking 23, but I.
Don'T know, I thought it was23 also because there was a huge
delay in it coming out again.
It was a huge delay betweenseason one and season two.
Yeah. But I mean you can catchup on it now. So yeah, we'll tell
you about at the end of theshow where you can, where you can
find it and everything. But,but Maddie, you know, she's, she
(08:10):
is a teen stuck in theafterlife. As we said earlier. She's
investigating her owndisappearance and she goes on a crime
solving mission with the restof the ghosts that she can see in
the high school. And as I saidearlier, the hundred year gap, we
see different ghosts fromdifferent eras and periods. There
are some that hang around andthere are some that get to move on
(08:34):
kind of thing. We won't saywho and when and where, but, you
know, so that you get adiverse look. You can't go a hundred
years in existence withouthaving some kind of go.
Somewhere, I would think. Imean, you know, I mean, we probably
have them here. I'm sure wedo. I know we do.
(08:55):
That's true.
Yeah.
But you know, she tries toadjust to high school purgatory and
you know, she's really goodabout playing a high school student.
She does it in Cobra Kai. Wewatched her in was six, seven seasons
or six seasons in Cobra Kai.And she's brilliant. Her character
is very diverse. You know, shereally brings it when she embodies
(09:17):
a character. She brings it andshe does it in this as well.
Yeah, she's, she's really atalent and I think she's gonna be
around for a long time. And Ithink I saw, I'm not, I'm not sure,
but I thought I saw her listedas a, as a producer on this now on
School Spirits.
Well, I'm sure, I'm surebecause of her clout. The more she
does and the more she's doingthat her agents have probably parlayed
(09:40):
it into, you know, she is theshow in the season that's good for
her. Think about the, the, thecliffhanger on season one. It absolutely
left us hanging on the edge ofa cliff. It was the epitome of a
cliffhanger.
A cliffhanger. Yes. And it wasso, so long to season two that was
(10:02):
killing me.
You know, it is a well puttogether cast. Everybody works really
well together. You couldbelieve, you know, even the cross
reference between all the erasthat are represented, you can believe
that they absolutely havebecome friends back here and they
(10:24):
all band together to helpsolve the mystery. Because there
are some things that we won'tgive away. If you have started binge
watching this because you haveto, you have to have a Paramount
plus subscription in order to,to watch it. You can't see me Pointing
this in Italian is Paramountplus subscription.
Paramount plus subscription.Okay, so we're clear.
(10:48):
Yeah, you have to have one inorder to see it, but it's well worth
it. I mean, Paramount plus gotso much more to offer. It really
does. But in reality this islike one of the top notch things
that really are up there wherewe connect with. Even though this
is about high school students,we have adapt, you know, kind of
really embodied it and reallykind of enjoy watching it and love
(11:10):
it, you know, getting into thewhole. Probably because it's a mystery.
It's not just a thing about abunch of high school. It's got adults
as well. It's not just high school.
I was going to say. Yeah, it'snot just teens.
It's a cross section of aseries of adults over the time period
as well. And you know, thereare adults that pop up from the other
areas, eras as well. So, youknow, what you see is you see a family.
(11:35):
This is a family show.
Yeah, definitely. Kids canwatch it for sure.
Now I'm not sure that I'veseen some of the other people within
here. I'm sure that they'reprobably well known with either across
the Disney channels or acrossany of the other nickelodeons or
any of those particular shows. And because they, you can see their
(11:59):
experienced actors. ChristianVentura, he, he absolutely. You can
tell he's. He's not anewcomer. His experience plays out
really, really well. He playsSimon, Maddie's best friend in high
school. Everybody. Spencer, excuse me, Spencer McPherson plays
(12:20):
Xavier Bhasker, plays NicoleHerrera. And then of course we talk
about Milo Mannheim, who youmentioned that he was a Disney kid
anyway, and we loved him whenhe got on Dancing with the Stars.
I think it's one of the lastseasons of Dancing with the Stars
we watched actually.
(12:40):
Yeah, we haven't watched itsince then. I don't think he was
so good. He's so cute.
He did really, really well. And he's good at this in here too.
He plays a football playerfrom the 80s and he embodies the
football player from the 80s.And they've got a woman there from
the 50s and a teacher therefrom the 50s, I believe. The 50s,
(13:05):
or was she from the 60s? Oneof them's from the 50s. And then
I think the girls in.
The 60s, she might have beenfrom the 60s, she might be from the
60s. I can't keep them allstraight, but yeah, yeah.
And then you know, you haveanother guy that they're from the
the 50s, 60s, 70s, the 80s,90s, the 90s? Yeah. See, there's
(13:28):
a nice cross reference. Andthey play their characters really,
really well.
Yeah, they're. They're reallygreat. They. The things that they
talk about, they went throughwhen they were alive and, and how
they deal with it in theirdeath. And it's just a really. It's
a really interesting idea.
You know, I think that we'veall. We all. At least I know that
(13:53):
you and I, and I think themajority of individuals, especially
having conversations on onemore thing before you go. We all
really want to know what's onthe other side, what's waiting for
us on the other side, andwhether or not we exist on the other
side, whether or not peopleremember us, whether or not we've
left a legacy or our nameembodied in some form or another.
(14:17):
It just kind of gives us ahint that if this is kind of a little
bit what's left on the otherside or if this is all at all possible.
Every time that we're in the, like, even the room that you're in
right now, sometimes the lightwill turn on all by itself.
It does.
Sometimes it turns off byitself. Yep.
(14:38):
Yep. And dad. Dad passed awayin this house, so I just figure it's
dad.
Exactly. There's little bumps, little. Little noises, little bumps,
little things that kind of pop up.
And Charlie, Charlie will justall of a sudden just stop and just
stare at something. Like just.He is so focused, you can't even
(15:01):
get him. You can't even gethis attention. So I know he's seeing
something.
And see the Internet, that'swhat gets me here too, because a
lot of these kids that are inthe high school are carrying on doing
some of the things that theywere doing before. Nobody sees them
or nobody hears them, but theycan pick things up, they can move
things around, that kind of stuff.
Right.
Seems to me that's one littlething that. A little flaw within
(15:23):
the whole system.
That nobody sees the objects.Nobody sees the objects. Solid objects.
Right, Exactly.
They're picking them up,they're moving them around, but we
don't see them from, from theother students perspective, like
going, wow, did you see that?
Yeah. Like when they. Evenwhen they open and close a door and
(15:45):
there's other people rightthere and they don't like nothing.
Pick up a piece of paper or.It's weird.
Yeah, yeah, right. The paper.
Like there's a. Two dimensions.
Yeah. Which maybe that's whatthey're trying to say, that they're
two totally differentdimensions that are intertwined with
each other. But they don'texist within each other.
(16:08):
And Manny's best friend,Simon. I'm going to give this part
away. There's the thing I'mgoing to give away.
Well, it's a major part of is.
But I think by now, hopefullyeverybody has seen it. But if you
haven't, Simon is a NativeAmerican kid and he obviously has.
His beliefs are that they doexist. Well, he can see Maddie, but
(16:32):
he can't see the other ghost.
Right. But he can see theother and he can communicate with
her as if she's right there. Just.
Yes.
I mean, like there's nothingbetween them.
And they think that thatpossibility exists, that the reason
that can happen is becausethey had such a close relationship
and that he's also open to thefact that he was devastated. The
(16:54):
possibility that, that. Andyou see it in the first step. You
see it the first coupleepisodes. She appears to be murdered
or you don't know what happensto her. She appears to be murdered.
So that's what they think.
Yeah. So the, the cops aretrying to figure out where she went,
where she disappeared to, whythere, why there was blood in certain,
you know, down in the borderroom and in this kind of a thing.
(17:16):
And, you know, nobody can seemto solve this mystery. But there,
there's one that startsevolving and I like the way that
they, you know, they kind of.The afterlife. Has a counseling session.
Yeah, I guess, if you can callit that. Yeah, I guess it kind of.
It was a counseling session.Yeah. For the kids about how to,
(17:38):
for the kids to deal withtheir death and, and yeah, that's
all I'm going to say about it.
Well, you know, and I thinkthat, you know, the plot in itself,
what an amazing opportunity toreally delve this out. I'm really
happy that Paramount pluspicked up and is doing it because
what it, what it does is thenyou and I, I mean, look, cop, you
(18:03):
work for the legal system aswell. And, you know, we've been together
for more than 35 years andsome of the best things. And we've
talked about it on this showand some of the other shows. We really
enjoy sitting down, watchingthe rookie, watching ncis, watching,
you know, different shows.Hawaii Five zero, when it was on,
(18:28):
you know, the NCIS Los Angelesor New Orleans or Hawaii. It's got
a mystery, right?
Yep.
We like solving it. We likegoing along with it and saying, hey,
we figured that out. We have acontest. Who gets to figure it out
first.
Yeah. And I've been gettingreally good. I've Been figuring out
(18:49):
things before you, which isunusual, but this I can't figure
out for the life of me.
Well, we. Well, we didn't atthe end of season one, but now things
are starting to fall intoplace a little bit. Season two, they're
starting to fall into place.
(19:10):
There's some things that arerevealed, but then there's. Then
there's that other mysterythat. That pops up, the objects.
And to be honest, you know, wewill give this way, too, a little
bit. But they're stuck therebecause that's where they died.
Right.
So the. The students that arestuck there are stuck there because
(19:30):
they had died, so.
Died somewhere on the school,on campus.
So they've got a limit as tohow far that they can go. They have
a limit that they can only goto a certain extent, you know, certain
area, and. And they can onlybe in certain areas. So that's because
that's where they died, andthat's where their stall is attached
to. So this, the story and theplot evolves, at least in season
(19:54):
one, that really everybody'sgot a mystery because they died there.
But a lot of them are stilltrying to answer the question why?
They know how. They just don't.
A lot of them know how. Right, right.
They just don't know why. Andthen season two, now that we're getting
into it, they start openingdoors and start opening things where
they're starting to understandand facing the reality of why they
(20:20):
died at school, why they diedin a particular thing. And I think
that's what really, to me, isreally intriguing. And I think that
the way that they developed itfrom season one to season two, that
in season one, you find out bythe end of season one that not only
does Mattie have a mystery, but everybody's got a mystery. And
then you kind of go, well, everybody's got a mystery to solve.
(20:42):
They're going, okay, well, Ijust kind of put up with the fact
that I'm stuck here, but, youknow, why am I stuck here? Then they
kind of, you know, why are wehaving all these counseling sessions
all the time? And, you know, why am I still stuck here? Which
I think is pretty cool. Soevolving into season two, we're starting
to get some of those thingsanswered, I think. And, you know,
(21:02):
it is exciting other than thefact that, you know, we should have
waited till they were all outand binge watched.
Yeah. Because it's hard. It'shard to wait a week. And then they
also introduced the other, thespirit, another kid who died at the
school that wasn't in seasonone, but he'd apparently been there
(21:24):
the whole time. But they starttalking to him, too. He's. I like
him. I like him a lot. He'svery. He's very cool and just, you
know, whatever. He's the onefrom the way it is. Yes.
He's the one from the 70s.
70S.
Yeah. And he's not required, but. And that, you know, also pins
to a few things, which you'llsee, but you're in there and you
kind of go, wait a minute.Well, how come nobody sees this happening?
(21:48):
Yeah, that's the. That forsure. The stuff around him just doesn't
make any sense that somebodydoesn't see it or at least sense
stuff's happening in that room.
So. And as I said earlier whenyou mentioned he's in the season,
but he wasn't in the firstseason. You know, the absolute brilliance
(22:10):
of the cliffhanger in seasonone will bring you to season two.
I mean, the anticipation ofhow long it took to bring back season
two, you're kind of going, yes. Are we ever going to get that?
Are we ever going tounderstand that? What the hell just
happened?
Well, we were so afraid thatmaybe they weren't going to bring
it back. Like it was going tobe canceled on that cliffhanger because.
(22:32):
Oh, God, I hate when they do that.
So many shows they've donethat to, too.
Yeah. They give you thisintense cliffhanger and then there's
no more show, no resolution.
We're canceled.
You're going, oh, do you notunderstand? This is going to haunt
me the rest of my life.
Oh, my God, just damn crazy.Do you think there's a cultural impact?
(22:54):
Like, how does it resonatewith current issues and trends or.
I like how they've integratedstudents from different eras because
you get to see that. Acommonality. We won't talk about
it. We hope that you as theaudience will be able to see it.
But what you see is acommonality between us as human beings.
(23:19):
What a teenager goes through.
Yeah.
The anger, anxiety, thestress, the live up to expectations.
You get to see that throughthe eras, through the 50s, the 60s,
the 70s, the 80s, the 90s. Idon't understand why there isn't
anybody past the 90s, though.
Well, Maddie. Maddie would bethe only one.
(23:40):
Well, Maddie. Yeah, but Imean, you know, there's nothing in
the true file.
And you said. You said itspans 100 years, and that's what
it says on IMDb, I guess. Butyes, we said on IMDb, I don't think
anybody. I don't rememberanybody being before the 50s.
There were a few other ghoststhat pop up.
(24:01):
Because that one that.
Like the marching band andthen there was.
Okay, maybe the marching band.
Yeah, there was a couple otherones that had shown up that may have
been from an earlier era.
Okay. They're just not in itenough, I guess, for me to really
remember one thing that Ithink that they could do a little.
(24:22):
I mean, that would be more. Ithink it would be kind of a funny
thing, and they've done it afew times, but I think that there
were. There'd be so many moreopportunities to do. This is the
spirits from way back, youknow, and the, The. The more recent
deaths. And they talk aboutthings like the guy from the 80s
(24:42):
would talk about things in the80s, and the people in the 50s wouldn't
know what the hell he'stalking about. And I know they've
done it a few times, but Ikind of wish they do a little more
because I think there's somuch opportunity there to make jokes
about that kind of thing orhave. Have the, the people from the
50s just be like, flabbergasted about what comes out,
what, what we all have inlife, you know, like cell phones.
(25:04):
It was the kids walking aroundin cell phones today. So I mean,
the 50s, we'd be going, holy crap.
Right?
Well, and we'd be doing that. So, I mean, the 70s would be doing
that other than Star Trek wasintroduced within, you know, the
late 70s. But that's the thing.
They. They are seeing thisbecause they see all the kids. They
see the, the kids in presentday, in the schools. They see them
(25:26):
with their phones, but theynever really talk about it. They
don't say, well, what is thisabout? What is that? Like, how did
this happen? They don't, theydon't reference any of the stuff.
Or the computers.
Or the computers. Right.
Or the LEDs.
They could do a little betterof referencing what they're seeing.
Like, this is incredible, you know.
(25:46):
Yeah, it's got some greatreviews with regard to some of the
people, what they're saying. And, you know, they're getting, you
know, nine out of tens, tenout of tens, eight out of tens. And
there's like 116 reviews onthere. And then it's still, still
got like a 9 on IMDb, which,you know, it. It's. We've talked
about this before. I, I don'tput too much credence in a lot of
(26:10):
actual reviews, enough wheresomebody trying to sound like the
neighborhood critic. But inthis particular case, you have a
multitude of people going, yeah, I love this. It was binge worthy.
And, you know, the. The castis great and everything they said
is fantastic because they allget along so well and they all have
a vested interest in solvingMaddie' as well as the rest of the
(26:34):
mysteries, which I think iskind of pretty cool.
I think that there's a lot of.So there's a lot having to do with
relationships between parentsand children.
Yeah.
And there's a lot having to dowith. Between teenagers. The relationships
between teenagers. And a lotof the characters really go through
(26:58):
different arcs of learningthings and changing.
And we think they were human, that they were in the real world,
they weren't ghosts, thatthey're in the real world. But what
you're seeing is even on theother side, they still had the same
humor, angst, anxiety, depression, anger, resentment. They're
(27:18):
still going that scope ofemotional, in mental, in physical
aspects of being alive, whichI think is a kind of unique approach.
Even in the conversations thatI've had on. One more thing before
you go where we're talkingabout the other side. Never had that
(27:39):
really addressed from that. They say, well, everything's all
fine and dandy. When you go onthe other side, everything is. You
know, you get everything youever wanted and everybody looks 35
years old.
Right. Which is interestingbecause we. We've heard that a lot
from different psychics andmediums and things like that. But
then that one medium we hadthat you were talking to and you
(28:01):
had to come get me. I was. Iwas working and you were doing an
interview, and you stopped theinterview and came get tame. Came
to get me so that I could gotalk to her because apparently dad
came through to her.
She actually. She actuallyasked for you.
Yeah.
She said, I have a message foryour wife.
Right.
And. And she said. She didn't.You mean, I. I didn't tell you because
(28:24):
I never told her your dad's name.
No.
And she didn't know yourmaiden name either. And she said,
I have a message for your wifefrom David.
Right. So, like, you know, thething. The thing was, is that he
was. And I guess this was toconfirm or, you know, validate that
it was him, but he was madbecause they didn't have. They didn't
(28:48):
have Scotch.
Yeah. Didn't have scotch onthe other side.
Or cigars. They wouldn't. Theydidn't have any cigars or scotch.
And he was mad. And I thought, okay, that's the first time I'VE
ever heard that the other sidedoesn't have, like, everybody's happy
and satisfied, but that, youknow, kind of. That would be my dad.
(29:09):
Maybe he wasn't looking in theright place. Maybe he didn't go through
the right door. Maybe the. Thebar was down the street and not where
he was at the moment.
He hadn't. He hadn't exploredenough on the other side. I don't
know.
But then again, we also getthese people that picture, you know,
the painting that, you know, when you're. When you go to the other
(29:29):
side, you go to heaven, andthis is what you experience. You
got, you know, butterflies andrainbows and, you know, dancing through
the field. And if you're thebad guy, then you go to hell and
it's nothing but fire and brimstone.
Right.
But who's to say in reality, you know, each one of us may experience
something different when we goto the other side. Each one of them.
(29:51):
Each one of us may go to wherewe're supposed to go or want to go
number one. And there's.There's always a purgatory because
we. We know from watchingparanormal shows. We've heard it,
we have seen it, we've watchedevidence to show that there is a
communication between theother side and here and that they're
(30:15):
still among us.
Yeah.
So I think this is, to me,it's a brilliant. It's a brilliant
show. You gotta watch it. Ifyou love the paranormal, you love
the supernatural, you lovemysteries, you love intrigue, you
love watching people grow, youknow, get involved. Yeah. I think
this is. I think it's a seriesyou really need to check out.
(30:38):
It's got a lot to it. Yeah,it's very good.
What do you think is going tohappen? What do you think?
I mean, the show. I mean, justwhen I think I understand what's
happening, they throwsomething else out. So I don't know.
I'm very confused by thewhole. What's going on in the second
season, the objects. That'sall I'm going to say. But I'm very
(31:04):
confused as to what is. What's happening.
Well, there's a mystery withina mystery, and somebody's messing
with the realities of both sides.
Yeah.
And I think because they'remessing with the realities of both
sides that that's where someof the intrigue is going to continue.
I don't know whether or not itwould. I mean, theoretically. Why
(31:29):
would it go into a third season?
Oh, don't say that. I want it to.
I Want.
Okay. I could definitely seeit doing that.
Well, I think with all theelements that are in it and really
the reality of. Of. Of thesituation, you have to watch it to
(31:49):
be able to see, because Idon't want to give anything away.
Yeah, but in reality, you kindof go, I don't know how long a person
can survive that way in herstate without something deteriorating.
So, you know, you go on toolong, then it's gonna. It may, you
know, create more of aconflict or an issue that really
(32:10):
you can't unres. You know, youcan't resolve, you can't undo.
I just. I can't even imagine, you know, we just finished, what,
episode four. That was thelast one.
Yes. Damn it.
I cannot. I. I just can't eventhink as I'm. The end of episode
four is like crazy. Well, allthe end of every episode's pretty
(32:33):
crazy, but it keeps youhanging, that's for sure. I just.
I don't even know. I can'teven begin to. I can't even begin
to think about what couldhappen, what's going to happen. It's
just. It's so great.
I would say School Spiritsabsolutely keeps you intrigued each
and every episode. It allowsyou to get your investigative aspects
(32:53):
brewing. It gets you excited,it gets you sad, it gets you anxious.
You know, it really. You know, you get involved in these characters
lives to a point where you'rekind of going, I'm vested in this
outcome as well. I really wantto see what's going to happen because
I'm cheering for certainpeople, certain entities, to get
closure and to get fixed andthis kind of a thing. So, you know,
(33:16):
from my thing, if it goes intoa third season, it goes into a third
season, and who knows, please, they can take it off in a different
direction after that. Becausein reality, we see that there is
the potential to be able tohave communication with the other
side, to get problem solved, which I think is kind of cool.
Yep. I think that there's alsohumor. Don't. Don't think it's all
(33:41):
just supernatural, paranormalmystery. There's humor in it, too.
I mean, there's some. There'ssome funny lines that make me crack
up.
There's drama, there's love.Comedy. There's love, there's comedy,
there's anger. There's. Whatyou're gonna run the gamut, too,
of emotions as well.
I think it's got everything.
School Spirits is available,as I said earlier, to stream on Paramount.
(34:05):
Plus, we are not an affiliate,so if I'm telling you they should

Yes, absolutely. 100 I thinkyou should. Either way. 100 so hey,
(35:11):
do you have a. I know. We'replanning. We're planning for this.
We're planning for it. We areplanning. We are planning. Other
than the super bowl, what kindof day is today?
Okay. Other than the SuperBowl. But it's interesting that the
super bowl landed on the sameday as National Pizza Day.
Yes.
(35:32):
Yes.
And what do we have out on thepatio? A pizza oven.
Pizza oven.
What's one of my favoritethings to cook?
Homemade pizza. Yes. So we'regoing to go and do that.
We're gonna do pizza and thenwe're going to, you know, get ready
for the Super Bowl. We'regoing to watch the super bowl commercials
which we just caught up onsome of the ones that they just showed
(35:56):
on CBS for some of the bestover the years, of which the funniest.
Yes. And of the two that werenominated for the top two over the
past number of years, one ofthem we know, very close friend of
the family and unfortunatelyhe passed away and so did his son,
(36:17):
the kid that you see in thecommercial. But yeah, we got to see
it again. But we're lookingforward to it.
Yep. And the Puppy Bowl. Don'tforget about the Puppy Bowl.
