“From Seed to Significance: Building Big with Little”

Welcome, beautiful souls. In today’s episode, we explore the sacred truth that everything great begins with a seed. From David’s humble beginnings as a shepherd to the mustard seed of faith that moves mountains, history and Scripture remind us: small starts birth great legacies.

No matter your resources, your dream is valid. Like the Wright brothers who built flight in a bicycle shop, your limited tools can still shape extraordinary outcomes.

We’ll explore how to:
🌱 Overcome the fear of starting small
🌱 Recognize the value in your current resources
🌱 Stay committed through the quiet seasons of growth

Plus, we’ll reflect on:
🌱 What seed has God already placed in your hands?
🌱 How can limitations become invitations for growth?
🌱 What legacy are you quietly planting today?

• Overcoming the fear of starting small instead of waiting for ideal circumstances
• Recognizing the value in your current resources rather than waiting for future ones
• Staying committed through the quiet seasons of growth when progress isn't visible
• King David's story as an example of humble beginnings leading to significant legacy
• The Wright brothers making "a bicycle fly" with limited tools yet extraordinary outcomes
• Understanding God's perspective where "little is big and big is little" in the kingdom
• Identifying what seeds God has already placed in your hands that remain undeveloped
• Many great ideas die because we let discouragement or time pass without nurturing them
• The best things in life grow at their proper pace, just like fruit needs the right time to ripen

Join us for the next episodes as we dive deeper into overcoming these three challenges on your journey from seed to significance.

growth.
I know that's not easy.

and, if we have to, we'll turnit into a series to make sure we
get all the information to youand into your hands so you can
have success in this growthprocess.
Enjoy the show.
Thank you.

(01:15):

Wherever you are and howeveryou're listening to, the Call Me
, mr you and the InspirationStation thanks again for making
us part of your week.
It's been a while betweenepisodes, huh Excited to be back
with you guys.
Lots been going on.
Life has been definitely lifing, but we're here.

(01:36):
Thank you for your support onall of our social media
platforms.
All of your personal questionsand comments coming in to me
Definitely appreciate it.
Hopefully, I answer all thoseas quickly as I was able to, but
I want to get into this becausethis is, I think, a powerful
series of topics.
I'm going to get into it.
We may not have enough time todo one episode on this.

(01:58):
It may take multiple and I'mtotally cool with that.
This is that important and youknow what you guys are that
important as well.
I'm entitled to this, from seedto significance building big
with little.
Why are we going here?
I think this is important.
All you beautiful souls thatare hearing me right now today,
thank you again for listening.
I want to make sure youunderstand that for me, my

(02:19):
appreciation is massive towardsyou guys.
I want to explore the sacredtruth in today's episode that
everything great begins with aseed.
I know we know that here, butI'm talking to you today.
I hope you understand that hereEverything great begins with a
seed.
We watch it If we do anythingin the realm of gardening.

(02:42):
We got videos on our youtubechannel.
We talk about gardening all thetime, so you guys get to see or
to go something from a seed allthe way into fruit.
It's on our youtube channel, clear evidence there.
But everything in life startswith a seed.
Your plans, goals, dreams theyall start with a seed.
Every success you have in yourlife began with some kind of

(03:03):
seed.
I look back at the story of KingDavid's life, arguably the
greatest king in biblicalhistory.
Humble beginnings as a shepherd.
If you look back at that storyyou'll see this man was getting
no respect, out here basicallyfending for himself against
lions and bears and wolves nosupport, excuse me.

(03:24):
No support.
Excuse me, no support from hisfamily Out here taking care of
the most important money-makingcomponent in their household and
that's the sheep, where theymade all of the income came from
that.
And they had this young man outhere fending for himself all
hours of the night and didn'teven seem to love him the way he

(03:45):
should be loved, didn't seem torespect him and honor him the
way he should be.
But in that regard he hadhumble beginnings.
He worked his assignment, hedid it with diligence, he never
strayed away from his assignmentand he always had that mustard
seed of faith and that grew intoa lifestyle that was indicative

(04:07):
of somebody who was able tomove mountains because of their
faith, go through history andhave great military conquests,
do great things.
And if Scripture doesn't remindus of anything else, anywhere
else in the Scripture we canlook to the story of David and
see that small starts birthgreat legacies.
Excuse me y'all, small startsbirth great legacies, no matter

(04:31):
what your resources are, even toa degree I'm speaking to myself
as I'm talking to you today nomatter what your resources are,
your dream is still valid.
How many of you have put yourdream to the side years ago and
have yet to pick it back up?
10 years ago, 20 years ago, howabout 30 years ago?

(04:53):
I know some folks who I speakto in consultations and
privately, people who arefriends of mine and unpaying
clients, and they all have asimilar story.
Some are 50, 60 years ago andthey haven't picked the dream
back up yet.
The Wright brothers basicallymade a bicycle fly.

(05:15):
They had limited tools, wereable to shape extraordinary
outcomes.
So today I want to talk aboutthree areas again overcoming the
fear of starting small, recognizing the value in your
current resources not the onesyou're going to have, but the
ones you currently have rightnow and stay committed through
the quiet seasons of growth.

(05:36):
I can tell already this isgoing to take more than one
episode, and that's fine.
I want us to take some time toget into this.
I think it's worth the time.
I think it's worth the effort.
So how do you build somethingsmall?
How do you build something bigwith very little resources.
Most folks I know in the circlesI run in they'll say oh, you

(05:56):
got to have faith.
No question, that's true.
Every time you sit down in achair you're exhibiting faith.
You do not know if that chairis going to hold you up, but you
sit down anyway, you don't eventhink about it.
You grab your drink or yoursnack or your meal and you sit
down in the chair, you don'teven think about it.

(06:16):
That's exhibiting faith andit's subconscious.
You know the chair is going tohold you up in your mind, you
just sit down.
How do you build something ofsignificance in your life with
very few resources?
We're going to get into a lotof that.
I really believe this with allmy heart, that everything that
we do, it's any of anysignificance that's valuable and

(06:40):
important.
It starts with a seed.
Every big house that we intendto have starts with one brick,
not two, 10 and 20, but it'salso one brick, one brick at a
time, one seed at a time, and wehave historical precedence for
this.
We have biblical precedence forthis.
The Bible says in Matthew 13,verse 31 and 32, that the

(07:00):
kingdom of heaven is like amustard seed which a man took
and sowed in his field.
It's the smallest of all theseeds, but when it's grown it
becomes the largest of gardenplants and becomes a tree.
Excuse me, but when it's grownit becomes the largest of garden
plants and becomes a tree.
So the birds of the air comeand make their nest in its
branches.
That's just a parable thatillustrates how a small

(07:20):
beginning, something that lookssmall right now, can grow into
something great.
Matthew 13, 31 and 32.
I want you to get that.
Luke 16 and 10 is a reallyimportant passage as well.
I want you to have that as well.
It says whoever can be trustedwith little can be trusted with
much, and whoever is dishonestwith little will also be

(07:41):
dishonest with much.
This talks about faithfulnessin small matters that can lead
to trustworthiness in largersituations.
Where are we going with this?
I want you to understand how Godthinks, how he views things.
The things that you think aresmall, that you do on the side,
on the sneak chip kind of outhere, trying to be slick.

(08:02):
God cares about that and hesees it as a big deal.
He thinks like, oh, it's alittle white lie, not a big deal
to God, is humongous.
That's how he sees the otherworld around us and teach this.
But in the kingdom little isbig and big is little.
Somebody is big and has a lotof pride and arrogance and ego

(08:24):
and have all these titles nextto their name and all these
letters after their name and bigoffices in big penthouse suites
, thinking they're better thaneverybody else sees them as
small, not big.
Somebody can be a person ofvery, very humble and honest
means.
They don't have a big positionin the corporation, they don't

(08:45):
have a lot of money, they don'tdrive a fancy car, they don't
have a big family, they don'twear the nicest clothes, but
they give, they're verycharitable and generous and kind
and loving, and they do that ona consistent basis.
In God's mind, that person whoseems little is big.
You see it, little is big andbig is little in the kingdom of

(09:08):
God.
I want you to understand that, because it's really going to be
important what we're going totalk about during this series
that we're getting into today.
I'm not going to take up toomuch of your time.
I'll try to bring it up inbite-sized portions so you guys
can have something to chew on aswe move forward in this.
I'm sorry, excuse me, guys, oneof the things that I think is a

(09:28):
great question to start offwith today is what seat has God
already placed in your hands?
What do you already have?
Every time I've read up onsomebody who has invented
something of any kind of note, what do you notice about their
life?
See, a lot of times we focus onthe invention, what they did,

(09:50):
or even the struggle of how theygot to the place where they
made it happen, whether it be aSteve Jobs or somebody who has
done something great in therealm of invention and
innovation.
I look back at the history.
How did these people, who aregreat inventors, grow up?
How did they get here?

(10:10):
What did they have to endure asa child?
Did their parents support theirgoals and dreams?
Did their friends make fun ofthem because of their ideas?
Were they down on themselvesand experienced low self-esteem?
What did they deal with to getto the place, from being in the
seed realm to significance increativity and innovation and

(10:33):
invention?
How did they get there?
Creativity and innovation andinvention how did they get there
?
I think it's important becauseright now, I truly believe and
I'm talking to you, I trulybelieve that in your hands is
the seed of significance.
You can't see it.
It's not sprouting yet.
There's no stems, there's noplanting yet, there's no fruit
to show yet.

(10:53):
It's just in a seed form.
I believe you have that.
I believe you have thatavailable right now.
Some of the folks that arelistening to this right now are
probably trying to find a way togo back to school because they
think that's the way to get agood paying job and to have
money in life, to have wealth inlife, to work at a big

(11:13):
corporation and try to move up,which generally we know how long
that usually takes 15,sometimes 30 years to move up In
today's economic climate.
It may take longer and it maytake you even longer to have a
real retirement, but inside ofyou right now you have a seed of
significance.
I believe it's already in yourhands.

(11:36):
Ask me how I know there's somany ideas that I've had since I
was young.
I put them in a desk drawer, Iput them in a journal somewhere
on a bookshelf, didn't go backto it, and now we're talking 10,
20, 30 plus years later.
I'm remembering that I hadthese ideas forever ago, never

(11:57):
did anything with them.
They just sat on the shelf withcobwebs all over them, and they
were significant ideas, but Ilet people talk me out of it, I
let people discourage me from it, because the world around me
whether it be the people, whether it be my family, or
whether it just be the media andwhat people say, just in open
circles, that my idea probablywouldn't work because of how

(12:19):
things are.
How many seeds have you leftunkept in your life up to date?
How many seeds were in theground but you let them die
because you didn't water them, you didn't give them any
sunlight?
What seeds has already beenplaced in your hands that you

(12:39):
have not touched yet?
I really feel like we need toget into that part before we
start getting into anything else.
I want to explore overcomingthe fear of starting small.
There's a scripture in theBible also that talks about
despising not small beginnings, and I really believe that
everything, whether it's a dreamor a goal, you have, you have a
project, a connection, you wantto make an effort, any kind of

(13:00):
work, any kind of outcome, it'sdeveloped and it starts from a
single seed.
If it's worth anything, itdevelops from a seed and we have
to be cool with not being fromzero to a hundred in just a
matter of minutes.
The best things in life grow attheir proper pace.

(13:23):
We talk a lot about what we doin the gardening world.
Out here in our backyard.
Is that the biggest backyard inthe world, if it's big enough?
We grow a lot of fruits andvegetables and for us sometimes
the timing is not fast enough.
But if you want the best flavorout of that vegetable, the best
flavor out of that fruit, youdon't want to pull it before
it's time.
You wait until the time isright and then you enjoy the

(13:49):
fruit and the massive amount offlavor that's going to be in it.
You pull it early.
It might taste sour, might notbe as sweet as it needs to be
whether it be a berry or appleor what have you and you dread
it.
You don't enjoy it because it'snot the way it was intended.
There's a timing for that seedthat's inside of you.
There's a timing foraccomplishing that goal.

(14:11):
We're going to get into it inmore detail on the next episode.
So I'll go ahead and let usclose out right here and we'll
come back to maybe one or twomore episodes of this and we'll
get into this with more detailand hopefully we'll help you
solve those three issues that wetalked about earlier Overcoming
the fear of starting small, recognizing the value in your

(14:31):
current resources and stayingcommitted through the quiet
seasons of growth.
Those quiet seasons seem to beso loud.
We're going to try to help youout with all three of those as
we move forward into this series.
But thank you again forlistening to the Call Me, mr U
and the Inspiration Station and,of course and most definitely,
thank you for making us part ofyour week.
More episodes coming up soon.

(14:52):
Thanks for listening.
