#108: View the shownotes for this episode here: https://loublakely.com/lessons-100-podcast-episodes
When I started this podcast, I had a tiny audience, not many listeners, and more doubts than downloads.
Now, 100+ episodes later, I’ve built an asset that brings people directly into my world - from clients, connections and collaborations. But it didn’t happen overnight, and it sure wasn’t easy. This episode is a raw reflection on the real path to sustainable content and visibility. If you’ve ever launched something (a podcast, a course, a business) and wondered, “Why isn’t this working yet?”, you need to hear this.
I share the exact mindset shifts, strategies, and tools that helped me keep going, even when very few were listening. From sticking it out during low-download months to choosing tools that save time and sanity, this is the behind-the-scenes no one talks about.
I also dive deep into what actually moved the needle: batching episodes to avoid burnout, building systems that made consistency possible, and using long-form content as the backbone for all my marketing. Plus, the uncomfortable truth: your results don’t always show up at the same time as your effort. But they do show up...if you stay the course.
So whether you’re in podcasting, course creation, or any kind of online business, this is your reminder to keep going. Reps matter. And starting small doesn't mean you're doing it wrong. It means you're in it for the long haul. Keep going...because your future self will thank you.
