Matt and Jenn Lozano, along with Emily Wilson, kick off Season 5 of the Open Doors podcast with the theme: Carving New Paths. They introduce our new book study of Unbound: A Practical Guide to Deliverance by Neal Lozano.
Chapter One of Unbound is entitled: “Freedom to Hope” and speaks of moving from a slave mentality to embracing our identity in God’s kingdom. Matt, Jenn, and Emily discuss what it means to understand that we are children of God.
Matt tells of a special memory when someone shifted from hopelessness to hope while being led through the Third Key – Renunciation. The person felt like an impenetrable wall was broken down bit by bit.
The concept of “baruch” means God’s blessing that provides power to prosper, succeed, and thrive. Emily connects this with a reminder that our hope is in Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross to save us from our sins and invite us into the blessing, communion, and joy of being with God and each other for all eternity.
If you haven’t read Unbound or if it’s been a while, now is a great time to open this amazing book. To prepare for next week’s podcast, read Chapter Two with the following question in mind:
When you consider your life’s struggles and persistent challenges, have you ever wondered if there might be a spiritual dimension to these battles – perhaps even a strategic plan aimed at your specific vulnerabilities?
