Behold: Peace (Shepherds)
Luke 2:8-15, Philippians 4:6-7
An angel appeared to the shepherds with the news that Jesus the Messiah had been born, who would help us to receive and understand the gift of God’s peace in new and deeper ways.
Behold
To “behold” is to pay special attention to something, to look deeply at it so as to notice the depth and detail beyond what you might simply see on the surface. The Advent and Christmas seasons are a time to behold the birth of Christ. With this series, we will focus on Jesus’ birth, seeking to behold it and its meaning with depth and detail as we walk through the scriptures that tell that story and explore how faith enables us to receive, see, and experience some of the amazing gifts of God that Jesus brings us.
