Yeti Stereo Microphone (00:00):
Hey, beautiful people.

(00:01):
Welcome back to organizing an ADHD Brain.
I'm your host Megs, and today'sepisode is gonna be super short
and sweet.
Our kitten, Theodore hademergency surgery last week, and
so this week has been insane.
We have been not only constantlymonitoring a cat that needs
supervision, but also doing ourregular routine.

(00:21):
Me building a small business, myhusband working his job, and
then of course our girls needingsupport from us as well.
So lots going on in thishousehold.
But I do wanna leave you withone tidbit of what I'm gonna be
sharing in next week's episode.
Before I do, if you do want someadditional FaceTime with me,
come to organizing an ADHDbrain.com/community.

(00:42):
There's body doubling sessions, body doubling is really cool.
There have been people askingmore and more about this, and
really it's just.
This proven concept for peoplewith A DHD to be able to get
things done.
The idea is that you log into azoom, there's a bunch of people
on the Zoom.
We all say what we're gonna do,and then when we do it, we come
back and say what we did.
You can also do this withsomeone physically in person,

(01:05):
and it's really incredible theway that our brain works and how
this works for us.
In addition to the bodydoubling, we do q and A sessions
and virtual declutteringsessions.
All kinds of really cool stuff.
What I wanna leave you withtoday is, how to let go of some
of the stuff in your house thatyou know, you wanna let go of,
but you don't actually know howto dispose of them.

(01:26):
Things like batteries.
Or paint or old technology thatyou might have old personal data
on there.
A couple months ago, I wascleaning out a part of our
garage and I had a bunch of oldpaint in there.
I had no idea that you're notsupposed to store paint in the
garage if it's not temperaturecontrolled.
Well, I learned the hard way,and that's okay because now I

(01:48):
know, but all of the paint thatwe had had in the garage was no
longer good, and I knew I wantedto get it out because it just
doesn't belong in my space anylonger.
So I scheduled an appointment togo to one of these events in my
town where you can bring allyour old paint, they'll pick it
up for you and take it away andrecycle it.

(02:08):
Somehow I got the dates and thetown incorrect.
So I drove to the place it wassupposed to be and no one was
there.

Yeti Stereo Microphone-1 (02:17):
At that point I was determined and
I decided I was gonna call anyplace in town that sold paint
and find out where I couldrecycle paint.
The first place I called, whichwas the closest to me at that
time, was a Sherwin Williams, and lo and behold, I called them
up and they said that they'dtake it all.

Yeti Stereo Microphone (02:34):
So I brought all the paint over there
I think they only left two cansthat they couldn't take because
it was not in the originalpackaging.
It was awesome.
we tried it again this weekendand it worked.
It was great, and I doublechecked with them.
They said that they do not takestain, but they do take any
paint in its original can.
So if you have any paint lyingaround your house.

(02:55):
And you just need to get itoutta there.
Find your local Sherwin Williamsand bring it on over.
Okay.
And then my husband justreminded me that they even were
telling us about how theyrecycle the paint or what they
turn the paint into.
I don't know the how, butthey'll actually turn the paint
into those little rubber pelletsthat they have on playgrounds
and stuff like that.
So super interesting.

(03:16):
Although now that I think aboutthat, isn't that harmful?
I don't know.
Doesn't that seem harmful?
It's not led.
It's not lead.
So we're good.
Okay.
So anyway, come back for more.
We're gonna be talking moreabout how to get rid of the
stuff that you just don't knowhow to get rid of.
If you're listening to this,it's time.
Let's start making somemovement.

(03:37):
And I know that you know it'stime.
That could be the one thing thatyou do.
It only takes one thing to getthe momentum going, and then
you're gonna lose momentumagain.
And that's okay because thenyou're gonna listen to the
podcast and you're gonna pick upmomentum again.
'cause you're gonna hear a goodidea.
You're gonna figure out what onething you could do and you're
gonna pick up that momentumagain.
If you're truly feeling stuck.

(03:58):
Book a call with me to see ifit's a good fit and let's see if
a 90 day coaching program isexactly what you need to get
started and to achieve a goalwhere you can show yourself and
prove to yourself that you cando this.
It's just that we're not reallygreat at it right away, and
there's nothing wrong with that.
Thanks for tuning in to thissuper duper short episode.

(04:18):
I hope you have an incredibleweek.
I'll talk to you next week.
