j - Jesus M. Ruiz (00:03):
The vision
received was that of blood cells
traveling throughout the body, supplying the much needed oxygen
and other nutrients to thediffering members of the body to
fulfill their purpose.
Once the blood cells are spent, they must return back to the
heart to be refilled beforebeing sent out again and fulfill
their purpose.
Good morning, saints.
(00:27):
It is, as always, a privilegeand an honor to be before you to
share gosh, just some littlethings that the Lord has been
showing me.
That's kind of what I feel likeevery time I come up here and
present something before you.
I'm just sort of delivering amessage he gave to me, and it
doesn't make me any higher orgreater or prominent than you.
I'm just sort of delivering amessage he gave to me, and it
doesn't make me any higher orgreater or prominent than you.
(00:47):
You know we're walking alongthe same road and the same road
leads to the same destination,so everything that I share, that
God shares with me, isapplicable to everyone.
That is his child as well, so Ihope you receive it in that
mind.
I'm not sure how you interpretedmy email recently and I know
(01:10):
what I had in mind, but you know, now that I've heard a few
people mention it.
I'm wondering, oh my gosh, dothey feel like they're going to
go deliver a message here today?
That wasn't my intention, butyou know, you never know what
the Lord has in store.
So I think I'm going to get tothe title of the message
afterward.
But you never know what theLord has in store.
I think I'm going to get to thetitle of the message afterward
and, hopefully, as I share withyou some of the things that I
(01:34):
have seen that the Lord isshowing me on my heart regarding
him, it'll just simply bearitself out.
A message today reminded me of amessage that I'd given I can't
even remember when.
I know Marta was alive at thetime and something in Ezekiel
(01:55):
and something that I hadmentioned back then.
I want to reiterate again today.
If you read the book of Ezekielfrom the beginning to the end,
there's never one time that Godcalls Ezekiel "Ezekiel.
Does anybody know what he saysto him every single time he
(02:16):
addresses him?
It is.
Son of man.
That's all he ever says to him.
Son of man, do this, son of man, do that Son of man speak Son
of?
It's always he addresses himwithout saying his name and
there's kind of like one time atthe end that he only mentions
his name, Ezekiel but he's nottelling Ezekiel to do anything.
(02:37):
He's just saying that Ezekielis going to be a sign before the
people.
And I guess I started thinkingabout it again as God was just
giving me different scripturesand the word was just developing
and that I now see the book ofEzekiel as a type and shadow of
the man, Jesus Christ, and itreally is emphasized because
(03:00):
every time he spoke to him hekept telling him son of man, son
of man.
So I want to start in Ezekiel, chapter three, and let this kind
of be the foundation of, Iguess, the point that I want to
share with you today that Ibelieve is applicable to
everyone, because you know, wetalk about having not idols, but
(03:21):
mentors, people that we look upto, people that we highly
esteem, people that we want tokind of follow in the footsteps
because they're such a greatexample, and I think of that and
I think, okay, yeah, Iunderstand the principle of it,
but there isn't a man on thisearth that I want to be, that's
greater than the only man whoever walked this earth that I am
(03:43):
called to be, and that's Jesus.
He is standard.
He is is the one that we shouldall be looking up to, to be
just like him.
And so when I read Ezekiel inchapter three, it says moreover,
he said to me Ezekiel's writingthis.
(04:03):
He says he said to me, son ofman, eat what you find, eat this
scroll and go and speak to thehouse of Israel.
So Ezekiel says.
So I opened my mouth and He,meaning the Lord, caused me to
eat that scroll.
(04:24):
Remember that word cause, because we're going to get back
to it later.
I love that word.
Lord caused me to eat thatscroll.
Remember that word cause, because we're going to get back
to it later.
I love that word.
He caused me.
And then he says he said to me,son of man, feed your belly and
fill your stomach with thisscroll that I give to you.
He's not telling Ezekiel I wantyou to eat your full and be fat
(04:45):
.
He's telling him specificallywhat he wants him to eat Eat
this scroll, eat this scroll, eat this scroll, fill your belly
with this scroll.
And so I ate it and it was inmy mouth like honey in sweetness
.
And then he said to me son ofman, go to the house of Israel
and speak with my words to them, for you are not sent to a
(05:12):
people of unfamiliar speech anda hard language, but you are
sent to the house of Israel.
Not too many people ofunfamiliar speech and hard
language, who you cannotunderstand.
For surely if I had sent you tothem, they would have listened
to you, but the house of Israelwill not listen to you because
(05:35):
they will not listen to me.
Your words, that I want you toeat the scroll, are my words and
I want you to deliver it tothem.
And when you speak to them, they will not listen, they will
not heed, not because of you,but because your words are my
(05:59):
words and they will not listento my words.
He says again or he continuesto say, but the house of Israel
will not listen to you becausethey will not listen Me, for all
the house of Israel areimpudent and hard-hearted.
Behold, I have made your facestrong against their faces and
(06:20):
your forehead strong againsttheir foreheads, like adamant
stone harder than flint.
I have made your forehead.
Do not be afraid of them, norbe dismayed at their looks,
though they are a rebellioushouse.
Moreover, he said to me Son ofman, receive into your heart all
(06:40):
my words that I speak to youand hear with your ears and go,
go and get the captives to thechildren of your people and
speak to them and tell them, thus says the Lord, God, whether
they hear, whether they refuse.
So he says this to Ezekiel andhe says son of man, son of man,
(07:04):
son of man, and he bids him whatto do, tells him what he wants
him to do.
And I think about how Jesus usedthat term so many times.
I did a little math thing and Ipulled up on my e-sword how
many times was the son of manused in the New Testament with
(07:26):
Jesus, and how many times wasthe son of God used in the Old
Testament?
And I found the ratio and youcould check it.
I mean it's close, but he usesthe son of man 16 times to every
time he used the term son ofGod.
That tells me that the son ofman, that term was impressed
(07:49):
upon the man Jesus Christ somuch that he identified with it
more than he did the son of God.
Not that he never did, butthere was something about that
term.
And I said to you before, and Iask you to consider, that
Ezekiel was a type of the manJesus Christ.
Consider all that he toldEzekiel to do and think about,
(08:11):
well, what did Jesus do?
Because everything he toldEzekiel to do is exactly what
Jesus did.
Where was he sent?
To the house of Israel?
Did they listen to him?
No, not a word.
They did not listen to him as awhole.
As a matter of fact, it says inMatthew 15, 24, Jesus said but
(08:32):
he answered and said I was notsent except to the lost sheep of
the house of Israel.
So I consider that and I think, wow, the book of Ezekiel must
have made a real impression uponthe man Jesus Christ, because
he began to identify witheverything that was being spoken
to Ezekiel as if it was beingspoken to him and he began to
(08:55):
walk out the words that God hadgiven to Ezekiel as if they were
words that were spoken to Him.
Where he used the term son ofman to himself 16 times more
than he ever used the son of Godto himself.
So consider that.
If we turn to Isaiah 50,another prophet, it says the
(09:21):
Lord has given me the tongue ofthe learned, that I should know
how to speak a word in season tohim who is weary.
He awakens me morning bymorning.
He awakens my ear to hear asthe learned, the Lord, God, has
opened my ear, and I was notrebellious, nor did I turn away,
(09:43):
and we think, oh, Isaiah hadhis ears open and he was hearing
the Lord and we think that'sall, that's applicable to Isaiah
only.
But then you read the next verse, because I've said this before
in other teachings and it bearsreiterating I gave my back to
those who struck me, Isaiah said, and my cheeks to those who
(10:04):
plucked out my beard.
I did not hide my face fromshame and spitting.
Well, who did that happen to?
That happened to Jesus.
And we know from 1 Peter, 1 (10:14):
11
that it says it was the Spirit
of Christ that was on the holyprophets, that was in them, that
was signifying to everyone ofthe sufferings of Christ to come
.
So the Spirit of Christ wasspeaking through Isaiah of what
he was going to himselfexperience.
(10:34):
He says in verse 7 for the LordGod, will help me.
Therefore, I will not bedisgraced.
Therefore, I have set my facelike a flint and I know that I
will not be ashamed.
That's the Spirit of Christspeaking through the prophet.
And we read those scripturesand we think, oh, that's a
(10:55):
messianic prophecy.
Yeah, yeah, because theyplucked out his beard, they
stuck a crown of thorns on hishead and they beat him to a
bloody pulp.
Well, think about, this is thesoul of the man and this is what
he's saying.
This was what's stirring in hisheart as he was walking in the
days of his flesh.
I have set my face like a flintand I know that I will not be
ashamed.
The man Jesus held on to thesewords.
(11:17):
It helped bring him to thepoint where he realized the
garden of Gethsemane my lifemust be given, my life must be
poured out.
I mean, if we think He was Godand everything was just easy for
(11:37):
Him and he was just like, everytime an obstacle came, He was
like oh, I got this, I got this.
He struggled.
He was a man that was dependentupon the Spirit of God and when
He read these words, he beganto take them to Himself.
He began to walk them out.
And Jesus was our example,Jesus was our standard.
(11:59):
And if he walked in this wayand it says and if he walked in
this way and it says let thismind be in you, the mind of
Christ, this is how he walked.
He read the word and began toapply it to himself.
He began to hold on to thewords that were spoken of in
times past as if they were His.
(12:19):
And they were His.
It says in Luke 9, verse 51, ithad come to pass, the time had
come for him to be received up.
And how does Luke describe whatJesus did?
(12:40):
It says he steadfastly set hisface.
The same words used in Isaiah Ihave set my face like a flint.
The same type of words thatwere used in Ezekiel I have you
made your face stronger againsttheir faces and your forehead
like an adamant stone harderthan flint.
The very same words, and thisis what Jesus did as he
approached Jerusalem.
I set my face like a flinttoward Jerusalem.
(13:01):
I realize what I've been sentfor, I realize what my purpose
is for and I will not look tothe right or to the left, but I
will go forward and fulfill thatwhich I have been sent to
fulfill.
For Jesus said in other timesand other places my meat is to
do the will of him that sent me.
And as they went and enteredthe village of the Samaritans to
(13:23):
prepare for him, but they didnot receive him.
Again, he goes to the house ofIsrael, but they did not receive
him because his face was setfor the journey to Jerusalem.
The Samaritans were half Jews, like half the house of Jerusalem
.
But he was going towardJerusalem and when the disciples
, James and John saw this, thatthe Samaritans even didn't
(13:47):
receive, they said Lord, do youwant us to call a fire from
heaven and consume them, just asElijah did?
And he rebuked them.
Jesus turned and said to themyou do not know what manner of
Spirit you are of.
And then what does he say Forthe son of man?
There he's using that term.
The son of man did not come todestroy men's lives, but to save
(14:10):
them.
This is my purpose.
I set my face like a flint toJerusalem because I am going to
fulfill my purpose, because I amthe son of man.
In John 8 (14:24):
28, Jesus said to
them when you lift up the son of
man, then you will know that Iam who He and that I do nothing
of myself.
But as my Father has taught me,I speak these things.
(14:46):
This man, Jesus, was taught ofHis Father what to speak.
Is that not what we encourageyou all to do when you get into
the word?
To not deny that the OldCovenant is there?
That word is for you.
Just as these words for JesusChrist who read the Old
Covenant, that word was for Him.
To let HIm know where was He togo, what was He to do, what was
He to fulfill.
Because He was walking out thefulfillment of God's word.
(15:15):
That was his purpose to do thewill of him that sent him.
We know how,in Hebrews it says behold, I
have come in the volume of thebook.
It is written of me.
What To do your will, o God.
There he is quoting the oldcovenant, the author of Hebrews,
who we believe to be Paul.
(15:36):
But where did it come from?
It came from Psalm 40, verse 7.
The Spirit of Christ spokethrough David Then said I behold
, I come in the scroll of thebook.
It is written of Me.
But you see, in Hebrews itdidn't continue.
The quote Read it on.
It says I delight to do yourwill, o God.
That's the Spirit of Christspeaking.
(15:57):
He delighted to do his will.
Did he ever say that in thedays of his flesh?
Was it ever written in the redletters of the new covenant?
No, but this is the spirit ofChrist.
If we read verse 1, Peter 1,verse 11, the Spirit of Christ
was in the prophets did signifyunto them of the sufferings and
(16:17):
the glories to come.
So this is the spirit of Christ.
I delight to do your will, ohGod.
Your law is within my heart.
This is the man, Jesus, springing forth, his soul,
through the prophets David andJeremiah, and Isaiah and Ezekiel
.
It says, furthermore, in verse 9, I have proclaimed the good
(16:38):
news of righteousness in thegreat assembly.
Indeed, I do not restrain mylips.
So, Lord, you yourself know, and I see Jesus walking this out
.
He did not, he wasn't afraid.
He spoke up to Pharisees, hespoke up to Samaritans, he spoke
to a centurion Roman, he spoketo everyone.
(17:01):
He was not afraid to bringforth good tidings of the Lord.
It says in verse 10, I have nothidden your righteousness within
my heart.
I have not hidden all this goodnews in myself and just walked
around and not let anybody know.
I have declared yourfaithfulness, your salvation.
(17:22):
I have not concealed yourloving kindness and your truth
from the great assembly.
And do not withhold, Lord, yourtender mercies from me.
Oh Lord, let your lovingkindness and your truth
continually preserve me, thinkon these things and meditate on
(17:43):
these things.
The Spirit of Christ is beingrevealed through David and his
own words.
Yet we see that, oh, my God,that was Jesus.
That was Jesus, who did nothold himself back, who did not
hold himself back from declaringthe righteousness to the
assembly, declaring all of hisloving kindness, all of his
mercy, all the good news, because he was the living
(18:03):
embodiment of the good news.
He was a living embodiment ofsalvation to all mankind.
And all he wanted to do, hesaid to the woman at the well,
to his disciples my meat is todo the will of him that sent me,
of him that sent me.
(18:24):
It says in Psalm 37, the stepsof a good man are ordered by the
Lord.
It says in verse 23.
And he delights in his way.
The steps of a good man areordered by the Lord, he delights
in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not beutterly cast down, for the Lord
(18:48):
upholds him with his hand.
Remember the Spirit of Christwas in the prophets.
This is the Spirit of Christsaying hey, the steps of the
good man are ordered by the Lord, he delights in his way.
And we just found out that thatI delight to do your will, oh
God.
So it's not a stretch to thinkthat, always speaking of himself
(19:11):
, the steps of a good man areordered of the Lord.
He's the one that delights inhis way.
And if he falls down, he shallnot be utterly cast down.
Did he not fall on the cross inhis death?
Yes, but he was not utterlycast down, for he was raised up
again with his righteous righthand.
Was not Jesus found at therighteous right hand of his
father, says Stephen?
(19:32):
Putting it all together, makingthese little connections here,
I have been young and now I'mold.
I have not seen the righteousforsaken.
I have not seen his descendantsbegging for bread, because I
know that my Lord is merciful,he lends.
His descendants are blessed, depart from evil and do good and
dwell forevermore, for the Lordloves justice.
(19:56):
And so when I see Jesus, who's aman, reading these words in
Psalms, I see him build Himselfup and realize that even though
he's going to the cross, there'swords for Him of encouragement.
The Lord loves justice.
He will not forsake his saints,he will not give them up, he
will not let them go.
It says they are preservedforever, but the descendants of
(20:19):
the wicked shall be cut off.
So he sees, as he's going moreand more toward that day of the
cross, that he has something tohold on to.
The Lord is going to preserveme.
It might be hard, but the Lordshall be found triumphant.
The Lord shall be found asholding the staff of salvation
(20:43):
and raising it up for his saints.
The righteous shall inherit theland.
The mouth of the righteousspeaks wisdom and his tongue
talks of justice.
And look at 31,.
The law of God is in his heart.
The Spirit of Christ just saidthe law of God was in his heart.
None of his steps shall slide.
Nothing that Jesus ever did wasan error, was slipping up, was
(21:07):
wrong.
The Lord, in verse 33, will notleave him in his hand.
In the hand of who?
The wicked, because the wickedis watching the righteous,
seeking to slay him.
Did that not happen to Jesus?
That's exactly what happened toJesus.
The adversary thought he couldstop the promise.
If he just kills that man, hecould stop what was supposedly
(21:29):
spoken to Adam and to Everegarding her seed.
He thought if I could just getrid of this man, I can make
God's word null and void.
So he sought Him.
He sought Him when he was ababe, and then he sought him 30
years later and a full forcecame against him.
(21:50):
But the Lord will not leave therighteous man, the good man, in
the adversary's hand, norcondemn him when he is judged.
Wait on the Lord, keep his way.
Words of encouragement, wordsthat Jesus lived by Because,
although he was falsely accused,it never stopped him.
He went from place to place, from house to house, and nothing
(22:16):
that was negatively said abouthim or adversely said about him
stopped him from continuing thework of the Lord.
In 37, it says mark thatblameless man and observe the
upright, for the future of thatman is peace.
It says in verse 39 thesalvation of the righteous is
(22:39):
from the lord.
He is their strength in time oftrouble and the Lord shall help
them.
The Lord shall deliver them.
He shall deliver them from thewicked and save them because
they trust in Him.
And I see the man, Jesus Christ, trusting Him.
No matter what came his way, Hecontinually abided in Him,
(23:04):
abided under the shadow of Hiswings.
Everyone should be familiar withPsalm 22.
Comes after the Lord is ourshepherd.
In Psalm 21.
And we read these verses and wethink, oh, that's a messianic
prophecy.
It begins with my God, my God,why have you forsaken me?
(23:25):
That was the same word spokenby Jesus while he was on the
cross, giving his last breaths, and we continue to read oh my
God, I cry.
In the daytime, you do not hear, and in the night, season, and
I'm not silent.
This is the Spirit of Christspeaking through David.
(23:45):
And what was he saying while hewas being beaten and tortured
and hanging on the cross?
We know what happened on thecross the Father had to turn his
back on Him because all thesins of the world were going to
be cast upon him.
(24:06):
There was going to be aseparation between the communion
of the Son and his Father.
But the spirit of Christ ismeditating on the words of the
Lord.
You are holy, you're enthronedin the praises of your people.
Our fathers trusted in you.
They trusted and you did whatyou delivered them.
He kept holding on to the word.
(24:27):
They cried to you and they weredelivered.
They trusted in you and theywere not ashamed.
But I am a worm and no man, areproach, a man.
I'm despised by all of thesepeople around me.
They ridicule me, they shootout the lip, they shake their
head.
And what do they say?
Oh, He trusted in the Lord.
Let Him rescue him.
Let Him deliver Him, since hedelights in Him.
(24:48):
They said that Because, if wego to the new covenant, where
those words were spoken, it saysthe same thing.
Well, he trusted in his God.
Let his God save him from thecross.
This is a Messianic prophecy.
These are the ruminations ofthe man, Jesus Christ, through
(25:18):
David.
Now.
But you are he who took me outof the womb.
Think of what, my God, I may besuffering, all of this and all
of this calamity, but hey, youknew me.
While I was in my mother's womb, you made me to trust while I
was still on my mother's breasts.
He must have been very small, but you made me to trust in you
while I was still on my mother'sbreasts and feeding from her.
And I was cast upon you from mybirth, from my mother's womb,
(25:39):
you've been my God.
The very day he was born, heknew, he knew.
Many bulls have surrounded me,strong bulls of Bashan have
encircled me, talking about allof these people.
They gave me with their mouthslike a raging and roaring Ryan,
and I'm being poured out likewater.
All of my strength, all of mylife is being poured out.
(26:00):
Now I'm dying here.
All my bones are out of joy.
My heart is melting like wax.
It is melted within me.
My strength.
I don't have it anymore.
I couldn't even carry thiscross anymore.
I dropped it and somebody elsecarried it for me.
I'm down to my last breath.
(26:22):
I'm down to my last bits ofstrength.
My tongue clings to my jaws.
You remember they wanted togive him something to drink.
He didn't drink it.
His jaws were shut.
You brought me to the dust ofdeath.
This is the soul of the man.
These dogs have surrounded me.
(26:45):
The congregation of the wickedhas enclosed me.
They pierced my hands and myfeet.
These are all of his thoughtsthat he was thinking on the
cross.
They divide my garments.
Look, look.
They're dividing my garments.
They're casting lots upon them.
But then he says in verse 19,But you, o Lord, do not be far
(27:07):
from me.
Hold my strength, hasten, helpme.
Deliver me from the sword, myprecious life from the power of
the dog, save me from the lion'smouth, from the horns of the
wild oxen.
You have answered me.
I will declare your name to mybrethren in the midst of the
assembly.
I will praise you.
(27:29):
He's holding on for dear lifeto the word of the Lord.
You who fear the Lord, praisehim.
All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him and fear him, all
you, offspring of Israel.
For he has not despised norabhorred the affliction of the
(27:51):
afflicted, nor has he hidden hisface from him.
But when he cried to Him, Godheard Him.
He said in verse 22, I woulddeclare your name to my brethren
.
Jesus spoke those words in John, chapter 17,.
The night of the last supperhe's praying and he says oh
(28:13):
righteous father, the world hasnot known you, but I have known
you and these have known you.
That sent me and I havedeclared your name and will
declare it.
He's speaking the same words hespoke through the psalmist that
the love which you have lovedme may be in them.
(28:38):
If we look at another one in us,in psalm 31: 1 verse 8, David
says in you, oh Lord, I put mytrust.
Let me never be ashamed.
Deliver me in yourrighteousness.
You start reading that okay,it's dav.
Yeah, he's building himself inthe trust of the Lord.
He says bow down your ear to mewhen I hear, when I'm calling
out to you, come, come, come tome Lord, come to me, lord,
(29:01):
Deliver me in your righteousness, deliver me speedily.
Be my rock of refuge, afortress of defense to save me,
for you are my rock and myfortress.
Therefore, for your name's sake, lead me and guide me.
And we think okay, this is David.
I mean, he had a lot of troubleand he was crying out to the
Lord.
He says pull me out of the netwhich they have laid secretly
(29:21):
for me, for you are my strength.
Into your hand I commit myspirit.
Whoa, didn't Jesus use thosewords?
He was on the cross, and that'sexactly what he said.
Into thy hands, father, Icommit my spirit.
This is another messianicprophecy.
You have redeemed me, o Lord,God of truth.
(29:44):
I hated those who regarduseless idols, but I trust in
the Lord.
I will be glad and rejoice inyour mercy, for you have
considered my trouble, you haveknown my trouble, you have known
my soul in adversities, and youhave not shut me up into the
hand of the enemy.
You have set my feet in a wideplace In verse 14, he continues
(30:07):
on.
But as for me, I trust in you, oLord.
I say you are my God, my timesare in your hand.
Deliver me from the hand of myenemies from those who persecute
me.
Again, it is a messianicprophecy.
Make your face to shine.
Shine upon your servant.
(30:44):
Save me for your mercy's sake.
Do not let me be ashamed.
O Lord, in verse 19, which youhave laid up for those who fear
you, which you have prepared forthose who trust in you in the
presence of the sons of men, isthat not what Jesus did?
He trusted in his God in themidst of the sons of men.
(31:06):
He says in verse 22, I said inmy haste, I am cut off from
before your eyes.
Nevertheless, you heard myvoice, my supplications, when I
cried out to you.
And he says the Lord preservesthe faithful.
Be of good courage.
He shall strengthen your heart, all of you who hope in the Lord
(31:28):
.
This man is holding on to thewords, to the words that were
spoken of by his own spirit intimes past.
He needed to have a hope beyondwhat he was about to go through
, so that he could go through it.
And then we read in Psalm 91,he who dwells in the secret
(31:52):
place shall abide In the shadowof the almighty.
I will say of the Lord.
He is my refuge and my fortress, my God.
(32:13):
In him will I trust.
Why do we put that in a song?
Because we're trying to hold onto that word for ourselves.
It's not just for David, who itseems to have been written by
or spoken through.
We hold on to it because wewant that word to be applied to
(32:34):
us.
We want it to be applicable tous Just as these words were
applicable to the man, JesusChrist.
Surely he shall deliver you fromthe snare of the fowler and
from the perilous pestilence.
He shall cover you with hisfeathers under his wings.
He shall bring you with hisfeathers Under his wings.
He shall take, he shall bringyou in and take refuge.
(32:56):
His truth shall be your shieldand your buckler.
Your shield and your buckler, your strength, his truth shall
be to you.
You won't be afraid.
It says in verse nine.
You have made the Lord.
Because you have made the Lord, because you have made the Lord,
who is my refuge, even the mosthigh, your dwelling place, no
(33:21):
evil shall befall you, nor anyplague shall come nigh your
dwelling.
It says next he shall give hisangels charge over you to keep
you in all your ways.
Isn't that what the enemy saidto Jesus?
See, the enemy even uses theOld Testament and tries to apply
(33:46):
you in a perverted way.
Because he questioned theidentity of Jesus being the son
of God, he said if thou be theson of God.
And then Jesus answered himthou shalt not tempt the Lord,
thy God.
He questioned his identity evenusing this verse, for even his
(34:11):
angels shall give charge overyou In their hands.
They shall bear you up lest youdash your foot against a stone.
That's what the enemy told himand he stopped there.
You know he didn't read verse13 of Psalm 91.
Watch what the enemy skippedwhen he used that verse against
(34:32):
Jesus to question his identity.
Because in verse 13, it saysyou shall tread upon the lion
and the cobra, the young lionand the serpent you shall
trample underfoot.
Pretty smart of the enemy, huh,not to give him exactly what he
needed to realize.
Oh, you have power over me.
But Jesus knew his word Thoushalt not tempt the Lord, thy
(34:55):
God.
And it says in verse 14, whywill you tread the lion and the
cobra and the serpent andtrample them underfoot?
Because you have set your loveupon me.
Therefore, I will deliver you.
I will set him on high becausehe has known my name.
He shall call upon me and Iwill answer him.
I will be with him in trouble.
(35:16):
I will deliver him and honorhim.
With what Long life and willsatisfy him.
Doesn't it say in Revelationthat I am he that was dead and
now alive forevermore?
Does not he have the preeminenthonor?
(35:36):
Is there not any name that isabove his name?
His word was fulfilled, exactlyas he said it would.
Why am I bringing up all of thisto you?
In 2 Corinthians 3, it says youare a letter of Christ.
(35:59):
I'm speaking this now to you.
Yes, this is written to theCorinthians by Paul, but I hope
you get the principle of whatI'm trying to get you to do here
is, when you read this word, tostop thinking about oh, that's
about David, that's about thepsalmist, that's about Jesus
Christ.
It's about David, that's aboutthe psalmist, that's about Jesus
Christ, it's about you.
You are a letter of Christ, notwritten in ink, but with what?
(36:21):
The spirit of the living God.
If you have been born again, ifyou have come in and covenant
with God and you have thebaptism of the Holy Spirit, you
are now a letter of Christ.
Your life, everything that goeson in your life, is now a
(36:43):
letter to everyone about Christ, just as the man, Jesus Christ.
Everything he said and did is aletter about him, about God, to
all the world.
You are that letter, because itwasn't on the tablets of stone
but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart, the spirit.
We have such trust throughChrist toward God.
(37:04):
It says in Romans 5, now, hopedoesn't disappoint, because the
love of God has been poured outin our what Hearts by what the
Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Remember what it said in Ezekielabout causing.
(37:26):
If we turn to Ezekiel 36, whenyou were baptized in the Holy
Spirit and been made a letter ofChrist, it says I will give you
a new heart and put a newspirit within you.
I will take the heart of stoneout of your flesh and give you a
heart of flesh.
I will put my spirit within youand I love the next three words
(37:48):
and cause you, I will cause youto do what To guard my, to walk
in my statutes, to keep myjudgments and I love the next
one and do them, because withoutme you can do nothing.
I will cause you to do this.
I will empower you to do this.
(38:08):
My grace will be foundsufficient for you.
My grace will be foundsufficient for you.
That wasn't just written to Paul.
That was for you, that was forme.
We need to take God and startapplying his word to our lives
and not just be a nice story.
It is an account to be appliedto you.
It says, regarding the newcovenant by Jeremiah, the spirit
(38:32):
of Christ said then I will givethem a heart to know me that I
am the Lord, and they shall bemy people and I will be their
God, for they shall return to mewith their whole heart.
That's why I will do it,because there's going to be a
remnant of people that are goingto return to me with their
whole heart and I am going togive them my spirit and do all
(38:59):
of these mighty and wonderfulthings to them and through them.
It says in Deuteronomy 36, andthe Lord, God will circumcise
your heart and the heart of yourdescendants.
To do what?
Why is he going to circumciseyour heart?
To love the Lord, your God,with all your heart and with all
your soul that you may live, tocause you to do that which is
right in his sight to cause youto love him with all of your
(39:22):
heart, soul, mind and strength, which he said in Deuteronomy,
chapter 6, verse 4.
He reiterated again that I'mgoing to circumcise your heart
so that you can do, Deuteronomy6, verse 4.
Love the Lord, your God, withall your heart, soul, mind and
strength.
Think about this.
(39:43):
The disciples who we know to beapostles but I don't just
consider them just apostles, I'mtalking about all the disciples
of Christ in the first century.
What is their track record?
I give you one.
Their very first converts, onthe day of Pentecost: They
continued steadfastly in theapostle's doctrine Acts 2:42.
They continued steadfastly inthe apostle's doctrine.
(40:04):
Number two what did they do aswell?
They did not cease to teach orpreach Jesus Christ as the
Messiah, Acts 5 (40:11):
42.
Number three they did not holdback in declaring the whole
counsel of God Acts 20 (40:20):
27.
Characteristics of disciples,true disciples.
They will hold fast to theapostles' doctrine.
They will not cease to teachand preach Jesus Christ as the
Messiah.
They will not hold back indeclaring the whole counsel of
God.
These are all characteristicsof what Jesus did.
(40:42):
Number four they sought, theylooked for, they went around the
world trying to figure out whatdoor is open to me, because I
want to go and preach toeveryone the mystery of Christ.
Where is the open door?
Where is that what we call inteaching, that teachable moment?
And we call it in coaching, that coachable moment.
(41:04):
When something happens, I'mlike, ah, I can jump right in
and give them what they need.
They sought for that, and givethem what they need, they sought
for, that, they desired.
Where is that moment?
Who is that person or people?
And number five themanifestations of God's word
came through their preaching,Titus 1:3.
(41:26):
Five characteristics ofdisciples, five characteristics
of Jesus Christ.
But the disciples followed inthe footsteps of Jesus Christ.
Why is that so important?
On the last night of the verylast supper, when Jesus began to
pray for his disciples in John, chapter 17, he said as thou has
(41:52):
sent me into the world, even soI also send them.
He said, and for their sakes Isanctify myself that they also
might be sanctified through thetruth.
But you know what?
I don't pray for these peoplealone.
I don't pray for these 12people that are surrounding my
table, or 11 people, because, judas, you know what he did.
Jesus said I don't pray forthese people alone.
(42:12):
I don't pray for these 12people that are surrounding my
table, or 11 people, because, judas, you know what he did.
Jesus said I don't pray forthese alone, but for them also,
which shall believe on methrough their preaching, through
their teaching, through theirword.
The disciples abided together inthe doctrine of the apostles.
(42:34):
The apostolic doctrine did notcome by mere men.
It says in two places that hewas with them for 40 days giving
commandments unto the apostlesnumber one, and then it says he
was with them for 40 dayspreaching things concerning the
kingdom of God.
They just repeated what theywere taught, just like I repeat
(43:00):
in school what I was taughtabout math.
If we can't believe theapostles, we can't believe
anybody, because they weredirectly taught by him, directly
, for three and a half years andfor 40 days thereafter.
He wants the world to believe onhim through who?
Not just their word, who else'sword.
(43:23):
Through our word that we preach.
He wants people to believe onhim through our word that we're
preaching and teaching them.
People to believe on himthrough our word that we're
preaching and teaching them.
Salvation and judgment is basedupon responses to not only what
he said, but to what hisdisciples have said, and I say
(43:47):
disciples because that's moregeneric.
He has a lot more disciples thanhe has apostles, Yet all the
disciples have been sent.
We don't call them all apostlesbecause they're not holding the
office of the prophet.
But let's not go there.
This really isn't a new thing.
The Lord has always done this.
The Lord has always done thisfrom the old covenant to the new
covenant.
He has anointed people who wecalled his prophets in the old
(44:10):
covenant Jonah, Jeremiah andDaniel and he expected people to
believe on him through theirword.
And he does the same thing withhis disciples in the new
covenant.
He expects people to believe onhim through their word, that
they teach them or that theypreach to them.
Again, it is the Spirit ofChrist that was in them,
signifying of the sufferings ofChrist and the glory that should
(44:31):
follow.
That was 1 Peter 1.11.
In 2 Peter 3.2, peter says Iwant you to be reminded, I want
you to be mindful of the wordswhich were spoken of by the holy
prophets in the old covenantand of the commandments of us,
the apostles of the Lord andSavior.
Your compliance to the words ofthe Lord through his ministers
(44:53):
is required because they weren'tspeaking of their own opinions.
They were speaking via hisspirit, through a divine
revelation.
John said we are of God.
The apostles, the disciples, weare of God, and anyone that
(45:15):
knows God does what Hear us.
This is how we know the spiritof truth and error.
If you're hearing what theapostles are teaching and
preaching and abiding in that, and you've been ministering that
to others and they don't listen, then they're not of God at
(45:38):
this point in time.
That's how we know truth anderror.
Paul said to the Thessalonianswe thank God constantly, without
ceasing, in chapter two, verse13.
And this is where it applies tous.
When ye received the word ofGod which ye heard of us, you
(45:58):
didn't receive it as the word ofmen.
You received it as, in truth, what Nobody knows, nobody knows.
I stopped them For this cause.
Thank we God without ceasing, because when ye received the
word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word
of men but as it is truth, theword of God which effectually
(46:25):
worketh also in you that believe.
The word of God works in you, that take hold of it and apply
it to yourself.
How do you get saved?
Because you took the word ofGod works in you that take hold
of it and apply it to yourself.
How do you get saved?
Because you took the word ofrepentance, you took the word of
being born again and youapplied it to yourself,
otherwise it would have beenineffectual.
It becomes effectual when youapply it to yourself.
(46:51):
True ministers of God allrealize that, because it's
nothing that they do.
They're not special at all.
They just have the word of God.
They have the anointing andthey know that it's the
anointing that is reaching outto the hearts of people, to the
hearts of men throughout theworld, to save them and to
deliver them.
We don't need more book-filledand book-learned ministers
(47:15):
coming out of seminary.
We need more spirit-filledministers that are actually
hearing the word of God andrelaying it without change,
without perversion, directly toyou.
That's what we need and you arethat minister, because you have
the spirit of Christ.
(47:40):
In John 13, 20,.
Verily, verily, I say unto you.
Jesus said he that receiveth mereceives who, him that sent me.
You see the connection.
In order for you to come toJesus, you've got to come
(48:02):
through the one that he sent.
In order for you to get God,you've got to go through Jesus.
In order for you to get Jesus, you've got to go through the one
that he sent.
That's the connection.
You can't skip over one or theother.
Which is why it talks about well, how can they believe whom they
have not heard?
If they have not heard, whyhaven't they heard?
(48:22):
Well, they haven't heard thepreacher.
Well, why hasn't the preacherpreached it?
Well, he hasn't been sent.
And then there's thatconnection again A man has to be
sent in order to preach theword, so that people listening
will hear the word and then knowwhat they need to believe in.
And we are that conduit, we area part of that connection, that
(48:43):
connection of salvation.
Because, yes, Jesus Christ isthe foundation, absolutely, he
is the cornerstone.
But does it not say that we arebuilt upon the foundation of
the apostles and the prophets,of which Jesus Christ is the
chief cornerstone?
Why the apostles and prophets?
(49:04):
Because they're the ones thattaught exactly what Jesus told
them to teach.
There's no different.
That's what we need to abide in.
That's why we, if we're goingto be disciples, we need to
steadfastly abide in thedoctrine of the apostles Luke
(49:25):
1:26.
Everybody turn to Luke 1.26.
I want to speak of Mary, whowas right now the highlighted
example of this whole message, little old Mary, the mother of
(49:49):
Jesus.
In Luke 1:26, it says Now, inthe sixth month, the angel
(50:15):
Gabriel was sent by God to acity of Galilee named Nazareth.
In Luke 1.26, it says come in.
The angel said to her Rejoice, highly favored one.
The Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women.
But when she saw him, she wastroubled at his saying.
And consider, what manner ofgreeting is this?
And the angel said to her Don'tbe afraid, Mary, you have found
favor with God.
Behold, you will conceive inyour womb and bring forth a son
and shall call his name Jesus.
(50:36):
He will be great, he will becalled the son of the highest,
and the Lord God will give himthe throne of his father, David,
and he will reign over thehouse of Jacob forever and of
his kingdom there will be no end.
Then Mary said to the angel howcan this be?
(51:02):
I've never known a man Putyourself in that position,
seeing an angel who knows whatthat looks like, saying she's
blessed and highly favored ofthe Lord, and now she's going to
have a son.
How's that?
She doesn't argue, she's justwondering how's that?
(51:22):
And the angel said to her theHoly Spirit will come upon you
and the power of the highestwill overshadow you.
Therefore, also, that Holy Onewho is born will be called the
son of God.
Now, indeed, Elizabeth, yourrelative, has also conceived a
son in her old age and this isnow the sixth month for her who
(51:43):
was called barren, for with Godnothing will be possible.
And then Mary said nothing willbe impossible.
Then Mary said behold theimpossible, I'm sorry.
Then Mary said behold themaidservant of the Lord.
Can y'all read the next phrase?
(52:04):
What does she say next?
No, I said everybody.
Can everybody read thattogether?
Patricia Ruiz (52:13):
He said unto me,
according to thy word.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (52:15):
Yeah, she had
the word of God.
Came to her with an angel andshe did something.
There's the word of God andthere's the hand of faith that
she had, and she heardeverything she said and she
looked at it and what did shesay?
Be it unto me according to thyword, let it be unto me.
(52:39):
According to thy word, whathappened in that moment?
What happened in that moment?
She conceived, right there, inthat moment, faith and the word
of God, and she conceived.
Because it's not faith in faith.
Faith in faith is the sound ofone hand clapping out loud.
(53:03):
It's nothing.
But when you take the word ofGod and say let it be unto me
according to thy word and let ithappen, let it come to me.
This is what the man Jesus didwhen he read those words.
He applied it to himself.
This is what Ezekiel did.
(53:24):
This is what all the saints ofGod need to do is hear the word
of God and say let it be into meaccording to your word and get
it done.
That's what has to happen to us.
We have to stop reading for thesake of reading or knowing or
knowledge.
We need to read these thingsand say well, let it be unto me,
(53:45):
according to your word and letit be so, let it come unto me.
And Mary rose in those days andwent into the hill country with
haste to the city of Judah andentered the house of Zacharias
and greeted Elizabeth.
And you know what Elizabethsaid at the end Blessed is she
meaning Mary who believed, forthere will be a fulfillment of
(54:08):
those things which were told toher from the Lord.
It's because she believed.
What happened to Zacharias?
He didn't believe.
He argued hem and haw.
Silence For like 10 months, nine months Silence.
(54:30):
The word of the Lord is comingto pass, whether you believe it
or not.
Silence for like 10 months, nine months silence.
The word of the Lord is comingto pass, whether you believe it
or not.
But if we want the promises ofGod to be fulfilled in our lives
prosperity, healing,deliverance, stability, whatever
it is that we're searching for,we must find it in the word and
(54:51):
say let it be unto me,according to your word.
It says in Hebrews 4 (54:55):
2, which
is the principle of the whole
message.
The Lord will no excuse me for, indeed, the gospel which
preached to us as well as tothem.
But the word which they hearddid not profit them, not being
mixed with faith, not faith infaith, but faith with the word.
(55:19):
Mixed together brings forth theword of God in the earth.
It's already been declared inheaven.
We're just repeating the matterin the earth and seeing the
salvation of God, seeing themiracles, seeing the wonders,
seeing the deliverance broughtforth and manifest here with us.
Now Our faith must be mixedwith the word for it to be
(55:40):
effectual, otherwise it meansnothing.
So glad Bishop brought up a wordtoday.
So he's gonna stand up anddemonstrate.
Bishop, you're going to have tostand up and demonstrate.
He said today that he's holdingon to a word with his house
(56:03):
situation and he brought up thescripture.
He's got to stand up and he'sgot to put his Bible down.
The response is let it be to me.
According to your word, you gotit.
No, no, no, no.
The response has to be theresponse to something.
So here's the word that he'sholding on to.
(56:25):
The Lord will cause yourenemies who rise against you to
be defeated before your face.
They shall come out against youone way and flee before you
seven ways.
Julian Harris (56:34):
And I declare it
in the name of the Lord.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (56:37):
Amen, let it
be unto me.
According to your word, doesanybody have a word that they're
holding onto today?
Anybody?
Anybody have a word?
Nobody?
Okay, then I'm going to readanother one, for it is God who
works in you, both to will andto do for his good pleasure.
Patricia Ruiz (56:59):
Let it be unto me
, according to your word.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (57:04):
Anybody.
Have a word for yourself.
You need to build yourself upin the word.
What is the word that you'reholding on to that you need
applied to you?
Let it be unto you according toyour word.
Stand up if you have a word.
No, you're not giving ateaching, you're being a
testimony.
Julian Harris (57:17):
Yes.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (57:18):
Murray, let
it be unto me.
According to your word, murray, stand up.
Murray Fox (57:28):
Okay, the Lord said
my family would be safe.
He said I'd get the job that Ineeded.
And on top of that he said alot more things, and he knows
them.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (57:35):
How do you
respond?
Thank you very much.
That's right.
Anyone else have a word of theLord for themselves today you
have to read the word and applyit to you.
I have not commanded you.
Be strong and of good courage.
Do not be afraid or dismayedfor the Lord.
Your God is with you forever, wherever you go.
(57:56):
Let it be unto me according toyour word.
Does anybody have a word?
Yes, sir, stand up and declareit.
Julian Harris (58:05):
The Lord says we
can do all things through Christ
, who strengthens us, and I knowfor a fact that he's told me
that he will cause me to prosperon my job, and I say, let it be
unto me according to his wordHallelujah.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (58:18):
Anyone else
with a word yes?
Julian Harris (58:21):
God says that his
word is going to be taken to
all four corners of the earthand that he will prosper us
accordingly to his word, and wewill go anywhere.
Patricia Ruiz (58:31):
He tells us to go
whenever he tells us to go
according to your word Amen.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (58:36):
Anyone else?
Anyone else.
Patricia Ruiz (58:38):
Hallelujah, his
servant, and his righteousness,
rather and our righteousness, that is of him.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (58:53):
So let it be
done, let it be unto me
according to your word.
Let it happen to me accordingto your word.
Modern day translation Let itbe so in my life according to
your word.
It says in Isaiah 51, 16 I haveput my words in your mouth.
I have covered you with theshadow of my hand that I may
plant the heavens, lay thefoundations of the earth and say
(59:15):
to Zion you are my people.
Let it be unto me according toyour word, lord.
Anyone else have a word?
Yes, I see people flippingthrough the.
That's right.
You better find it, alan.
Julian Harris (59:25):
He first, the
kingdom of God and all of his
righteousness and all of thesethings will be added unto you.
Let it be so, according to thyword.
Patricia Ruiz (59:31):
Amen.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (59:32):
That's right
Amen.
Any others yes.
Patricia Ruiz (59:35):
Isaiah 61.3.
He's given me, actually, isaiah61.1-3.
He has anointed me to preachthe gospel, to set the captives
at liberty, to heal the sick, toraise the dead, to give sight
to the blind, to give hearing tothe deaf.
And he has anointed me with thespirit of.
He's given me a garment ofpraise, he's given me joy and
(59:58):
gladness, and I praise him.
And let it be to me, let it beunto me, according to his word.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (01:00:03):
Don't forget.
Let it be unto me, according toyour word.
You're declaring to God what healready said was needed to be
done.
Let it be unto me, according toyour word.
When Jesus was in the templeand he was already baptized in
the spirit, they read Isaiah.
And what happened?
What you have just read hasjust been fulfilled in your ears
.
Let it be unto me, according toyour word.
(01:00:24):
And that's exactly what hisministry was about.
He walked that word out.
That was spoken centuriesbefore Murray.
You have another one.
Murray Fox (01:00:32):
He walked that word
out.
That was spoken centuriesbefore Murray.
You have another one For as therain comes down from heaven and
the snow from heaven and return, not until they water the earth
and bring forth and bud that itmay give seed to the sower and
bread to the eater, so shall myword be that goeth forth from my
mouth.
It shall not return to be void, but it shall accomplish that
(01:00:53):
which I please, and it shallprosper the thing wherefore I
sinned.
So, in other words, every wordthat he has given us will bear
fruit, will prosper, will causeto grow and will bring life.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (01:01:05):
What's the
response?
Patricia Ruiz (01:01:06):
So shall it be.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (01:01:09):
Let it be
unto me according to your word,
so shall it be according to yourword.
Amen, anyone else?
Julian Harris (01:01:22):
I shall prosper
even as my soul prospers.
So shall it be according to myword, amen, when they deliver
you up.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (01:01:30):
Do not worry
about how or what you should
speak For.
It will be given to you in thathour what you should speak For.
It is not you who speak, butthe spirit of your father who
speaks in you.
Let it be unto me according toyour word, anyone else?
Let it be unto me according toyour will.
(01:01:54):
That's right.
Amen, amen, anyone else.
Any words you're holding on to,there's healing.
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, andforget not all his benefits.
Who forgives all youriniquities, who heals all your
diseases?
Who redeems your life fromdestruction?
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies?
(01:02:16):
Who satisfies your mouth withgood things so that your youth
is renewed like the eagles.
Anyone need that verse.
Let it be unto me according toyour word.
Anyone else?
Julian Harris (01:02:29):
anyone else.
May we walk in the knowledge, understanding, application, and
that our Lord will be our shieldand that will expose everything
, that not one of us will bedeceived to backslide.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (01:02:47):
Let it be
according to your word let it be
unto me according to your word.
Murray Fox (01:02:50):
Yes, marie something
that touched my heart.
It was a quote by an influenceof the founding father.
Let it be according to yourword.
Let it be unto me according toyour word.
Yes, murray.
Something that touched my heart.
It was a quote by an influenceof the founding fathers, by a
guy named Montesquieu, and hesaid the quickest way to trounce
religion was to actually grantit in favor, and the quickest
way to make people lukewarm wasto give them the promise of
prosperity and wealth and thathope.
Well, I thank God that he's notgoing to allow us to abide in
(01:03:16):
this state much longer.
Whenever he does turneverything over, he has said,
especially to me personally, theUS dollar will die.
I thank God for the fact thathe cares enough about us to turn
us upside down in order to drawus out of the fire, because the
love of God is the root of allevil.
And we're in the fire and wedon't even know it.
(01:03:38):
We're so backslidden and wedon't even know.
So we're formed and we don'teven know.
So, lord, I think it's time togive the Lord thanks for the
fact that he's not going toleave us in our comfort zones
that he's not going to leave usin our comfort zones, that he's
not content to allow us to justshrug him off so easily that he
is that persistent guy alwaysknocking at our door to bring us
on to the right path.
(01:03:58):
And as it be in his word, soshall it be in our lives.
j - Jesus M. Ruiz (01:04:04):
Amen, amen,
amen, amen, amen.
Please, as long as we get theprinciple and the spirit of the
word right, that's all good withme.
Let it be unto me according toyour word.
Find your words in thescriptures, find your words in
hearing the Lord.
Find your words throughout theday and let it be unto you
(01:04:29):
according to his word, amen.
