Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hello, and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
Kay Torbert and coming up on today's show, Lauren Bullen's
road rage drama, Ruga Salt accuses her new husband of cheating,
Laura Henshaw's fart clip goes Viral, and g Bungalow's T

(00:22):
shirt drama. But First, on Tuesday, we discussed Matt Paul's
engagement and noted that Tammy Henbroke was not among the
well wishers. Well, it seems like she was a late
well wisher because she actually did end up liking and
commenting on the post after we prepared our podcast on Tuesday,
so she wrote so happy for you two, which received

(00:42):
over a thousand likes. I wonder if Tammy felt the
pressure to comment because Matt Zukowski, her ex He initially
commented pretty early on this post, sending his congratulations to
the couple.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
I think after that there was no way she couldn't
write anything. So I'm gonna talk to you guys through
my favorite at como. Lauren Bullen has been forced to
publicly defend herself following.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
A road rage incident. In Bali, the.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Og travel influencer better known by her handle Gypsy Lust,
was involved in an altercation with a local man after
she accidentally drove down a one way street on the
Indonesian island. The driver was left so disgruntled from the
exchange he went public with the story on his own
social media channels. Things have gotten very personal, so the
other driver involved in the incident goes by the Instagram

(01:28):
handle moscow Kebang Barley, and he shared vision he filmed
of Lauren during the dispute, as well as a photo
of her in her car now. The vision has since
been deleted, but the photo remains on his Instagram, and
he captioned the post this morning in Bali, I had
a frustrating experience with a foreign driver who stopped and
acted like she didn't know this was a one way road.

(01:50):
When I told her it was a one way, she
responded rudely instead of apologizing or moving. It's really disappointing
to see visitors ignore local traffic rules and show no
respect to the people who live here.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
I hope more.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Tourists learn to follow local regulations and treat others with
basic courtesy.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Well, he's incorrect.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
There because Lauren actually lives in Balley. She is a
travel vlogger, but her home base is Bally. Yeah, he
was obviously making a lot of assumptions, but it didn't
take long for him to realize who she actually was
and that she has a very large following, because he
ended up posting multiple posts directed at her, alongside a
bunch of unsubstantiated accusations to do with Lauren's airbnb in Balley.

(02:27):
Now we won't be going into those claims as they
are unverified and Lauren has labeled them false. It was
these accusations, though, that appear to have pushed Lauren to
publicly respond.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yeah so.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Earlier this week, she shared a screenshot of a statement
she prepared about the incident on her notes app, and
in it, she explained that she had been driving home
from breakfast with her family when she accidentally entered the
one way street. So she said she was immediately confronted
by an angry driver in his car, and she said
he verbally abused her. She then said she pulled into
a driveway so the driver could get through, but he

(02:59):
stopped to yell more at her. This all sounds so awkward,
and as someone who is a bit of an angry driver.
I can kind of see how this would escalate pretty
quickly now, Lauren said she didn't realize she had illegally
entered the road, so asked what the guy's problem was.
Now A big commotion followed, so much so that residents
actually came out of their houses to see what was

(03:19):
going on. Lauren said. At this point, the man was
causing a traffic jam, so was asked to move along.
While this was all going on, the man then grabs
out his phone starts filming Lauren. She felt like she
was being antagonized, so bit back and said, well, why
don't you repeat what you called me a little bit earlier.
Apparently he was quite abusive to her. Lauren said she
ended up driving off after the incident, shaking, and was

(03:42):
still unaware that she had driven down a one way street.
Then later that day, she opened up Instagram to find
that the man had shared vision of her, alongside what
she called false claims and misinformation. She wrote, Since then,
I have attempted to resolve this privately through mutual contacts,
but it has become clear that this person is more
interested in online attention than addressing the situation. Maturely and directly. Well,

(04:04):
I agree with Lauren. It sounds like he's trying to
get some attention online. He's clearly clocked who she is
and thought, Wow, this is a great way to gain
some kind of following. Yeah. Well, I had a look
at his Instagram. He's got around five thousand followers and
shares a lot of content, so I think he is
someone that is hoping to gain a bit of traction
off the back of this. It's clearly rattled Lauren because
on Saturday she took herself down to the police station

(04:25):
to basically hand herself in, and I think it was
to show her audience that she's taking responsibility for her
actions and basically to shut this guy up because she
ended up paying the fine for going down a one
way street. She also apologized to anyone who had been
affected or drawn into the situation, writing I am sincerely
sorry to anyone who has been affected or drawn into

(04:47):
this situation, including the man who is so aggressively upset
by this. I asked for his forgiveness, and I already
forgive him for posting all these horrible things about me
that are not true. I a we be more attentive
to road signs in the future. I am a lawful
and respon buttful resident of this island.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Have you guys had time to digest the news?

Speaker 1 (05:05):
It appears for Rucus Salt and her new husband have
kissed and made up following their recent public spat. The
Aussie TikToker shocked her followers earlier this month when she
announced she married a man in Vegas she'd only known
for two weeks. On Monday, it seemed like the relationship
was over as quickly as it began when the new
mister Salt revealed his wife had already blocked him on

(05:26):
social media. Yeah so the man, the myth, the legend,
known only as his Instagram handle Digi Premium wrote, your
tail Veroka unblocked me and I'm sorry with two sad
faces and a broken heart emoji. He added go comment
on her posts, I mean this sounds like such a
healthy marriage. I mean, just blocking one another within the

(05:47):
first couple of weeks of knowing one another. Yeah, I
mean it's officially been one month since they got married.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
The honeymoon is clearly over.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Yes, exactly now. A lot of her followers ended up
asking her, well, what is going on and she wrote,
he annoying me. She then provided a further update on
Tuesday night in a series of Instagram stories that were
swiftly deleted. So she wrote, digit Premium is missing. Please
let me know if you see him. Last known location
another bitch's house. She followed it up by sharing another

(06:17):
story that said digit Premium can be friends with girls
and sneak off to their houses, but I can't go
to the bar at a concert without being accused of
sucking dick in the bathroom. She then finished up with
a third slide, writing, yeah, we married Lowell, but he
only responds to social media apparently.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
O Kate, I'm just shocked.

Speaker 1 (06:34):
Who would have thought that this would be the case
just a few weeks after their marriage? I mean, are
they just doing this for engagement? I mean, love really
is dead. I mean, how could you possibly do this
to a person that you've only known for a couple
of weeks, that you've married. Look, I questioned last week
if this was all for content, but those stories are
just embarrassing, particularly the fact that she deleted them so swiftly.

(06:55):
I think a lot is going down behind the scenes,
And I mean I feel for because she has had
a very challenging last couple of years, and it's clear
that maybe she's not in the right headspace at the moment.
Do you think Ruka might be wanting to move to
the US so she can become part of the TikTok
Creator Fund because the fact that these videos are receiving

(07:15):
millions of views. I mean, if she was part of
that fund, she would have made a lot of money
on them. I mean, it's definitely advantageous for her influencer career.
But I genuinely don't think she's thinking through any of
these decisions. Because by Thursday, things apparently were back to normal.
So Ruka shared a compilation video on TikTok to the
song wish you were here Now. The video started off

(07:35):
with vision of Ruka on her own, which coincided with
the lyrics and I never minded being on my own now.
It then took a really sad turn when she added
vision from her son's funeral outside the lyrics. Then something
broke in me. The video then transitions to clips of
Verruka looking happy kissing her new husband on a ferry
with the lyrics and I wanted to go home to

(07:57):
be where you are, And this video of created a
lot of confusion Varuka's followers or like, have you unblocked
your husband, to which Varuka responded, not yet, he's still annoying. Well,
she's obviously going through a lot. It is quite sad.
I mean, I just find it amusing though that this husband,
he probably thinks all of his Christmases has come at
once and he's going to gain some huge following. But

(08:17):
we've seen that that doesn't necessarily happen. Like take Matt
Zukowski and Tammy Hembro. Matt hardly gained any new followers.
If anything, he had more people disliking him after he
married Tammy Hembro. So I don't think this is going
to turn out that well for DIGI. Let's get into
our Friday influence the Dump, and I'm going to kick
things off with probably one of the best things I've

(08:39):
seen an influencer share for a long time. So Laura
Henshaw has jumped on the baby test trend. So for
those who haven't seen it, it's basically where a woman
cuddles up to her partner and then spits up milk
on them to kind of determine whether they're ready to
have a baby. Now Laura took it accidentally to the

(09:00):
next level by fighting before she spilled the milk, and
Dalton's reaction was absolutely priceless. Let's throw a little bit
of the clip. Why are you fighting? Flora?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Just far sk? Are you fucking serious on the cash?

Speaker 1 (09:37):
What are the what the fuck you're ready to see?

Speaker 2 (09:56):
You're ready to have a baby?

Speaker 1 (09:57):
Ye? Now this video has It's gone completely viral on
Instagram It's got seven hundred and ninety nine thousand views,
and on TikTok it's got one hundred and seventy six
I was expecting a lot of mean comments, but the
majority are just like, this is the funniest thing I
have ever seen, and I am so grateful that Laura
shared this. Apparently Steph Clesmith had to twist her arm
to get it over the line. Yeah, because, I mean

(10:20):
it was really embarrassing for Laura because obviously, as you said,
she farted on Dalton. I mean, that's even more of
a test to see if someone's ready to be a father,
the fact that they'll put up with someone farting on them.
But it's because she just owned it, Like she didn't
even apologize for farting on him.

Speaker 2 (10:35):
She just laughed at all.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
I mean, this wasn't a small far either. In the clip,
you could tell she was trying to hold back a laugh,
and a lot of people in the comment said it
sounded like her laugh came out of her bottom. Well,
the reason I think this has gone so viral was
because every pregnant woman can relate to this. Yeah. I
felt for her because I'm like, there's a stage of
very late pregnancy. Well, you can't hold in your bath
like this was bound to happen. What did you think

(10:59):
about Dalton's reaction, because obviously this whole thing is a
test to see how they're going to deal with a
baby spitting up on him. Did he pass well? I
think Dalton's going to be in for a bit of
a shock in December when they have their baby, because
he didn't react very well. I did feel a bit
sorry for him though, because Laura has spoken out about
how he doesn't really like being included in her videos.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
You could tell he was a bit awkward being filmed.

Speaker 1 (11:21):
Yeah, I think a dirty T shirt is going to
be the least of his problems come December. I was
pretty impressed at how high pitched he actually got this
whole thing shook him up quite a lot. I mean,
at the end of the video, he called Laura a
lazy shit and said she could clean it off, which
I was like, geez, you better be careful speaking to
a pregnant one like that. Like, if that had been me,
I would have gone absolutely off.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
I probably would have cut that bit out of the
video if it was me. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:44):
Well, Laura said she had just wet her pants at
that stage, so maybe she had bigger problems to deal with.
I'm really interested to see how much Laura and Dalton
share about their new baby online because in a recent
kickpod episode, Laura and Steph were discussing their children's privacy,
and obviously, in recent times, Steph has made the decision
not to share her children's faces online, but Laura was

(12:05):
talking about how she and Dalton are quite undecided on
the issue. Well, reading between the lines, it seemed like
Dalton didn't want to, but Laura potentially maybe open to
sharing the baby's face in the first couple of weeks,
because she's like, I don't think they're very identifiable, you know,
they all look the same. And it was interesting because
Steph basically said that that's what she wanted to do
with her daughter Billy, but she knew the backlash was

(12:27):
just going to be too intense if she did, because
ever since she stopped sharing Harvey's face, she's been copying
it and people get funny about how much of his
face she covers and whether she shows his side profile. Now,
this next story had me rushing to my kitchen to
double check my dishwashing tablets because former Love Island at
Tina Provis shared she has accidentally been using laundry pots

(12:49):
in her dishwasher. Now. She only realized the error when
her dad was house sitting, so she went away for
a couple of weeks and her dad messaged her saying, oh,
I bought some new dish washing tablets, and she was like,
hang on, I only just bought a new packet and
he's like, no, they were laundry tablets. Let's take a
listen to what she said. It makes so much sense

(13:10):
because my dishes and my glasses have been tasting so soapy.
Using clothes soap on my dishes. Sophie actually did this
a couple of years ago. Can you remember? I actually
don't remember, but it doesn't surprise me. Yeah, I remember,
the absolute panic because I think, like Tina, they had

(13:30):
been using them for a while. I did some research. Luckily,
it's very unlikely to cause serious harm if you get
onto it quickly, like you if you're washing them heaps
and heats, because the laundry pods have bleach in them,
because that wouldn't be good to be eating and drinking from. Yeah,
some have bleaching agents, and they also aren't food safe,
like they have different fragrances and you know, types of

(13:51):
chemicals that you don't really want on your plates. Chris
Jenna has celebrated her seventieth birthday with a star started
event held at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's Beverly Hill mansion. Now.
The guest list included the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey,
Justin and Hailey Bieber, as well as Prince Harry and
Meghan Markle. Now, Kate, what's got a lot of people

(14:12):
talking is the mystery of the disappearing photos. So following
the party as you do. Kim Kardashian and Christianna both
uploaded a collection of photos, which included snaps alongside Harry
and Meghan. A few hours later, though the picks of
Harry and Meghan were deleted. I actually saw these live
on the Kadashians pages before they got deleted, and I
was like, oh, isn't it bizarre seeing them hanging out

(14:34):
with them. I've seen a lot of speculation as to
why they have been removed. Gossip site du Nois are
speculating that it may have been because Meghan was not
wearing a Remembrance Day poppy. So Harry was pictured with
one pin to his jacket, but Meghan didn't have one.
What kind of makes sense, because why else would they
be removed. I saw a lot of people saying, oh,
even the Kardashians are embarrassed to be seen with Harry

(14:56):
and Meghan.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
I'm like, f off, It's obvious.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
That Harry and Meghan asked to be removed her photos
and all other Kardashians like, oh, delete, I don't want
to be seen with them. Everything Harry and Meghan do
is so highly scrutinized that, you know, it does make
sense that she probably would have been dragged in the
UK media or if she hadn't been worryed. The only
other thing is though, that there were a lot of
paparazzi shots of them arriving at the party where Meghan

(15:20):
was seen without the poppy, So I don't know, like,
could that be the reason or is it something else?
Like do Harry and Meghan for branding purposes? Do they
not want to be photographed alongside them? Did they not
like the photos of themselves? Well, I don't think that
they would attend the event if they didn't want to
be seen with the Kardashians. It was Chris's seventieth side note.
How incredible does she look? I mean, I know a
lot has been said about the surgery that she's had,

(15:44):
but I was like, oh my god, Like, how is
she seventieth? Oh? Yes, crazy, she looks incredible. But the
funny thing about her Instagram is every photo is so photoshopped,
like they almost look like AI pictures Because there are
never just candid shots. You can tell that somebody has
gone and just edited them to an inch of their life. Yeah. Well,

(16:04):
going back to Meghan, she recently announced that she is
releasing a special Christmas series of With Love Meghan. The
show will drop on the third of December and has
been described as a magical holiday celebration. I know a
lot of our listeners aren't fans of the show, but
I skilled with excitement when you send it to me, Amy,
because it's kind of giving me the vibe of Nigella Christmas,

(16:27):
remember when she had a special Christmas series, And I
just love that. Like it's going to be totally non relatable.
We're probably not going to follow any of Meghan's Christmas
crafts that she suggests, but there's just something that feels
so christmas Y about her dropping a show like this.
I feel like it will be very relaxing, another good
show to nap in front of the couch with the
Christmas tree lights on. Actually will not be napping. We've

(16:49):
booked in a girl's night to do gingerbread trains, not houses.
I mean, I'll be probably doing a cheeseboard, which because
we're watching Meghan Markle, I'll probably refer to as a
secutery board, and there will be bit of pressure to
make it actually look quite nice.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
Now I've got some of the tips off. Megan Conte.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
Creator Rosan Tarrant, better known by her hand ale g Bungalow,
has been accused of copying a slogan T shirt produced
by small clothing brand Stitch Nest Now in September, Rochan
announced that she and her husband were launching a children's
clothing brand called by g Now. Rosan has been extremely
transparent on our socials about just how important it is

(17:25):
for her to produce ethically manufactured clothes. Yeah, and at
the time of the campaign launch, we also discussed on
the podcast her decision not to feature children's faces in
the campaign, which was one that was really highly praised online.
So it was very surprising to see these accusations pop
up on TikTok. Yeah, so the slogan T shirt in question,

(17:46):
it includes the saying butter wouldn't melt now. Stacey went
on to explain that she purchased a marketing course created
by Rosan in June of this year, so she was
trying to draw the bow that Rochan had seen her business,
she was wearing her clothing line, and potentially she had
copied it now. Roshan responded to the TikTok, writing in
the comment section, Hey, lovely, this would have been easily

(18:07):
cleared up if you message me. Here's a screenshot from
May of the T shirt designs that were initially briefed
at the end of April. This is a common saying
and fits within old Timers collection, which is the style
of slogan across all our tees.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
I hadn't seen.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Your tea until now. It's really cute. I mean, I'm
with Roch here. I think this is an incredibly common saying.
I think that maybe this woman is trying to get
a bit of publicity or attention around her clothing line
by calling her out. From a pr perspective, I think
Rotion has handled this really well, because if she was
to share her own TikTok, I think that's where things

(18:44):
would blow up. I mean, she was really polite, she
was complimentary about the T shirt designs, and she provided
a receipt. So this is sort of like, Okay, let's
end the conversation. Amakabli there. Yeah, she's kind of made
it look like this woman's really petty. Sophie Jan Miller
has been husy signing copies of her new cookbook, Simply Scrumptious.
In August, the Gold Coast Influencer topped book Topia's charts

(19:07):
based on just the presale alone, so she revealed this
week that she pre sold one thousand copies, which she
personally signed at book Topia's office. Were you surprised by
the figure. I'm not really surprised because I know Sophie
has a really engaged audience. I mean, she's not Australia's
biggest influence, so she's got one hundred and forty thousand followers,
but that audience is really locked in. They feel like

(19:28):
she's a friend. It is a decent amount of sales
when you consider the book costs fifty four to ninety five,
it's not necessarily a cheap product.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Yeah, and often it's.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Hard to visualize a thousand people. So Sophie showed this
time lapse of her signing all of the books and
it was this absolutely huge mountain and the thought that
she had sold that many in the presale was just incredible.
So her book officially goes on sale on November eighteenth,
so it's going to be interesting to see how many
more copies she sells. Yeah. Well, it's been a busy
couple of months for Sophie. She recently got married to

(19:56):
her long term partner Sam in a beautiful wedding and
buyer in Bay and shortly after that she announced a
collaboration with jewelry line Jazz Handmade. So she's got a
lot of things on sale at the moment. It's interesting
timing having these launchers so close to each other, because
you would think her fans may not have a lot

(20:18):
of money to spend, so you potentially would probably prefer
them to buy your cookbook over the jewelry collaboration you've
been a part of. Well. I think it was taken
out of her hands a bit because it clearly coincided
with her wedding. It was great and put into Jazz's hands. Yeah,
and also this cookbook, it has been I think two
years in the making. They were meant to release it
ages ago, but book Topia went into administration, so it's

(20:41):
probably not the best timing, but it seems to be
going pretty well for her. UK influencer Zoe Ray has
finally moved into her new home that she shares with
her husband Daddy. So for the past six months, Zoe
has been living at her sister Molly May's house whilst
her new home was being built, and understandably, Zoe has
not revealed the suburb that she's moved to, but it's

(21:02):
understood the house isn't too far from Molly's home. They've
definitely taken a step up from their last rental. Like,
the house almost.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Looks like Molly's home.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Yeah. Well, people have been calling it the mini Molly Mansion,
while others have said that they were quite shocked by
how small the house was, but Zoe said that she
and Danny had chosen location over the size of the house.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
I mean I wasn't surprised. I actually thought it.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
Was quite a big house, considering it looked like they'd
moved into a really nice area. I mean, Zoe and
Danny don't make as much money as Molly and Tommy,
so I thought this was quite an impressive house. I
don't think anyone should be turning their nose up at
this place. There's got three bedrooms, a gym, and a
movie room. It's hardly like their bloody slumming it. Yeah,
and I think it's refreshing to see a house that's

(21:49):
not some f off mansion. Let's get into our Friday debrief,
and I'm coming to you with a recommendation. Everyone needs
to watch Big Brother Australia. Yeah. A couple of months
ago we discussed how Big Brother was back on Channel ten.
It's back at dream World, and they promised they were
going to make it like the og Big Brother. We

(22:09):
weren't going to have stupid games and strategy and people
building alliances. It was actually just going to be real
people put in a house on the Gold Coast.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
And be filmed.

Speaker 1 (22:19):
And that's exactly what we've gotten. It's so good. I'm
really enjoying it. It's making me feel nostalgic, and it's
actually making people talk because they're obviously telling the housemates
to have specific conversations that are going to create those
water cooler moments like they did back in the day. Yeah,
I have every intention to watch this. I've seen bits
and pieces on TikTok and the contestants they've put in,

(22:42):
they've just cast it so well. You've got your anti
woke white men who just seem to be picking dumb
fights all the time with these poor women who have
to explain to them just how utterly incorrect they are. Yeah,
well he works at FAHM. That's the older guy. Because
there's another guy called Bruce who's like I saw some
clip of him on TikTok and he was eating salad

(23:02):
with the salad tongs that were the communal tongs, and
I was.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Like, you were a pig.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
He told everyone that he drank too much, soy growing
up so had to have a breast reduction.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
There are some classic people in there, and I just
love the way that they're fucking with them early on,
like they sent not to ruin it for anyone who
wants to catch up, but they send all the housemates
in and then didn't let them have their bag, so
they haven't had any skincare, any makeup, any hair dryes,
any clothes, and all the girls have been having to
get around and the male contestants outfits because they all
came in and really uncomfortable dresses and corsets, like it's

(23:38):
been absolutely classic. Well, I'm coming to you with a
life update, Kate, because I haven't given one for a
number of months. So in short, I'm now a basic bitch.
I love Matcher. That has become my personality. It's really sad.
I used to judge people that drank Matcher. Then I
had a glass and I've suddenly become.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Addicted to it.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
See I was judging you. I put it out there
because you kept going on about Oh I go down
to this cafe and they've got the best march and
I was like, oh, yeah, okay, I suppose I'll try it.
I've had it twice and I absolutely hooked. I think
about it quite often. No, and it's so close to
my house. The other day I went to go down
and it was closed on a Monday, and it was
most disappointed, Like that actually ruined my day. My other
update is that I have an allergy. Now it's not

(24:19):
too matcha, but.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
We hope it's Basically, I've been breaking.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
Out in this strange ration and I thought it was
related to being postpartum, but it turns out I think
I have a food allergy, so I've got an appointment
with an allergist. I have a suspicion I could suddenly
have become allergic to sweet potato since having Harry. I
know that sounds really odd, but a lot of people
are saying online that since they had a baby, they
have changed and now they are suddenly allergic to food

(24:44):
that they didn't used to be. I mean, Sarah's day
gets pregnant and she can suddenly eat gluten that is
actually a taste.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
That is actually a thing.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
I'm still a bit skeptical on that. Now. The last
update is that you got three Yeah? Is that? And
none of these have been baby related.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Is the number three gonna go?

Speaker 1 (24:59):
No? I feel like people are sicking me about the bakings,
so I'm just giving some live updates. So my husband
Dale and I we've actually launched a TikTok account, So
this is just a plus. This is just a bit,
a bit of a plug. We've been sharing some of
the videos that we've done about Christmas time on Outspoken's
Instagram account. But I thought poor Dale, I thought him
to be in all of these videos. He's not on

(25:21):
TikTok himself. But I have created an account. It's called
Amy and Dale, and we will be showing some fun
videos in the coming weeks. If anyone wants to chuck
us a follow, well, I wait with baited breath for
some more content. Because every time you put something out,
Reese gets a message saying when are you and Kate
doing something? And he said that there's no way in
hell that he'll ever be in any of that type
of comedy content. Oh why not. I think Reese would

(25:41):
actually be quite good. I mean, Dale said he's just
method acting because he does actually hate Christmas. It'll be
interesting when we expand the repertoire of videos. Well, I
feel like I need a medal because I somehow managed
to get Reese down to the Christmas Pageant with me
on Saturday morning. We arrogantly drove around for about an
hour a bit because we arrogantly thought we might be
able to get just a public park. We ended up

(26:04):
having to park miles away and walking fifteen minutes. But
shout out to our friends Carl and Steve. They saved
us eight front row seat. Poor Steve slept out overnight.
He got there at like two thirty in the morning.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
What dad of the Year.

Speaker 1 (26:18):
Yeah, there was an article in the Advertiser and it
was discussing how many parents now camp out to get
front row seats at the pageant. I mean this year,
I think they had three hundred and fifty thousand people
rock up into the city. I mean, I'm surprised you
even got a park fifteen minutes away. I swear this
wasn't a thing when we were kids, Like you could
rock up at a relatively normal time and get a front.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
Row seat, Like it's ridiculous. It is ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
But your videos that you sent me of Jack at
the pageants inspired me to go next year. So maybe
I'll have to convince Dale to go out at two
thirty in the morning. Well, I think Reese's resigned himself
to the fact that next year he's going to have
to camp out at two thirty. So if you want
to camp out with him, well, do you know what,
Maybe us girls should just go because, like, especially during
teething times with children, it's quite unpleasant being around at

(27:00):
two thirty in the morning. We could have a you
could probably get quite a decent sleep in the city
at night time, someone will have to keep watch. But
I mean now I feel like it's a bit dangerous
for women to be camped out there.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
I think it's a job for the dads.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
Anyway. Well, that is where we're going to leave things

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
