Michelle Gauthier (00:04):
You're listening to Overwhelmed Working
Woman, the podcast that helpsyou be more calm and more
productive by doing less.
I'm your host, MichelleGauthier, a former Overwhelmed
Working Woman and current lifecoach.
On this show, we unpack thestress and pressure that today's
working woman experiences, andin each episode you'll get a
strategy to bring more calm, ease and relaxation to your life

(00:28):
.
Hi friend, welcome back to thelast day of the declutter
challenge.
If you've made it this far, patyourself on the back.
Even if you didn't do all thedays, if you've done some of
them, great job, you've made itthrough the whole week.
I've been so excited by thewins you've shared, from
clearing out closets to deletinghundreds of emails, to saying

(00:50):
no to one obligation that justdidn't serve you, and those
small steps in different areasof your life really add up.
So for today, the vision isabout, first of all, celebrating
and focusing on your wins, which is something that I always
do.
If you've been my client, youknow that the first thing I ask
you every time that we starttalking to each other is what
are the wins that you have andwhat did you learn from them?

(01:12):
And I want you to first thinkabout that.
So what's the biggest win youhad this week and what
decluttering action made thebiggest difference in your life
and how you feel.
And then I want you to for youraction today, instead of
decluttering something unlessyou've got the time to do it.
But I want the number one focusto be what- When you figure out

(01:34):
what was the biggest wind andwhat you learned from this
challenge, for example, youmight learn something like.
For me, the most importantthing of this challenge was
realizing that I can makeprogress in small steps and that
I don't have to set aside, like, five days to declutter my
entire house.
Or maybe for you, you're like Ijust realized that if I do one

(01:56):
little cabinet in my kitchen, itinspires me to do all the rest
of my kitchen.
So, whatever it is that youlearned about yourself as it
relates to decluttering, takethat and then ask yourself what
will I continue doing now thatthis challenge is over, and how
will you protect the newlydecluttered space that you have

(02:16):
created, and what is your nextdecluttering priority?
So, instead of taking 30 minutesto declutter, take 30 minutes
to celebrate your wins.
Think about those questions andthen write down your plan.
So if you were able to carveout 30 minutes every day this
week.
Can you continue to do that foranother week?

(02:36):
Can you do 30 minutes once aweek?
Can you get your familyinvolved and do a two hour
session on Saturday or Sunday?
What is the plan that looksgood for you and feels doable
for you but does not make youfeel overwhelmed?
Now last thing I want you toponder and this is the question
that I would love for you toreply back to the email or send

(02:58):
me a voice memo about todaywhich is how does your life feel
different today, Friday, thanit did on day one on Monday?
So, since you have done thedecluttering in several areas of
your life, how does your lifefeel different?
And then share with me what'syour next step, what's your very
next step that you're going totake in terms of decluttering?
Thank you so much for joining usthis week.

(03:20):
It has been such a fun time.
I've loved just declutteringalongside all of you and hearing
all of your reflections, getting all of your questions.
It's really been a fun week andit's nice to feel the community
of everybody being in thistogether.
Don't forget to reply.
Even today, you'll still beentered in to win one of our
prizes.

(03:40):
That's it for today.
Reset and celebrate, and keepgoing.
I'm proud of you, great job.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
