Clarity, confidence, and calm… one bullet at a time.

Summer tends to shake things up — especially if you’ve got kids at home, your routine is out the window, or you’re simply craving a break from the usual hustle. That’s why I’m hosting a gentle 6-week journaling challenge, right inside the Ja, Wol Community.

BuJo by the Sea is a relaxed, Bullet Journal–inspired journey.
Each day, from July 19 to August 30, you’ll get one simple prompt to help you:

  • Set an intention
  • Reflect on a mindful journaling question
  • Choose one priority
  • Log what happens with the original Bullet Journal bullets (• – ○ =)

You don’t need anything fancy. Just a notebook, a pen, and a few minutes a day.
This is a lovely way to experiment with the practice if you’re new to Bullet Journaling — or to return to it with fresh eyes if you’ve drifted away.

You can join for free — in our own Ja, Wol Community private BuJo by the Sea space.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi and welcome to Pattern Shift.
I'm Saskia and this is going tobe a really short episode.
I'm going to talk to you aboutthe Bullet Journal by the Sea,
or Bujo by the Sea SummerChallenge.
This is a challenge aroundbullet journaling that I'm
hosting in my community.

(00:20):
I've been working at this for awhile.
I am a certified bullet journaltrainer and I wish that
everyone experiences the magicof journaling in general and
bullet journaling in particular.
But I thought it was a reallygood idea to help you to really

(00:45):
build this strong base for it,that I can do that for free and
you will be so prepared if youever want to learn more about
bullet journaling.
At the same time, if you don't,this can still be super
valuable and have so manybenefits for you.
So welcome to Pattern Shift, and let me start by explaining

(01:15):
what this challenge is all about.
So I'm not on my usualrecording spot, so I'm not using
a fancy microphone.
Hopefully this will sound okay.
The episode I did last week andthe week before were also about
bullet journaling, so if youwant to listen to them, it can
give you a little bit of contextabout what bullet journaling is

(01:37):
and what it can do for you.
So this is basically the thirdof a three-part series about
bullet journaling.
In my last episode I had somesound issues and I haven't been
able to fix them, but the otherside of all of this is that I'm

(01:57):
going to take a summer break.
This is going to be the lastepisode for a while and I'll be
back after summer and by thenI'll have fixed it.
It'll be fine.
So for now, please forgive meif it's not the usual quality.
It's all about what I'm saying, not how it sounds.
Let's tell you about the thingsthat we're going to focus on.

(02:18):
We're going to do a few thingsover the next six weeks and it's
going to be relaxed.
It's going to be ajournal-based invitation to find
some structure without pressure.
Just a notebook, a pen and amoment each morning at the
beginning of the day to check inwith yourself.

(02:39):
That's all you really need.
So we'll be focusing on mindfulprompts and the core of the
bullet journal method the dailyritual, the daily logging.
We're going to set an intentionand, don't be afraid, I have
the intentions all prepared foryou.
You don't have to do thatyourself now.

(03:00):
You may, but you don't have to.
Then we're going to journal onone simple thought.
That's where you get a prompteach day and it's going to help
you to learn how to reflect onyour thoughts and your feelings.
This challenge is built so thatyou can get accustomed to doing
these things.
We're going to choose onesingle priority for the day,

(03:23):
which is going to be a challengein itself for a lot of people,
and we're going to log whathappens during the day using the
original bullet types the dot,the dash, the circle and the
equal sign, so you can join thechallenge for free.
In the Yevil community.
I made a special space that isprivately, just for the

(03:46):
challenge, so you won't enterthe general community, just a
separate space.
But you'll get the idea of whatthe community is like.
We're going to post the promptsthere every day.
The kickoff is tomorrow, july19th, but the actual prompts
start on Monday, 21st of July2025.

(04:07):
You can either go tocommunityya-woolcom or to
patternshiftm to find yourinformation, but the quickest
way is to just go to the shownotes right here and find the
information, the link to sign up.
If you go to patternshiftfm, you'll get a pop-up and the

(04:28):
pop-up will sign you up for thechallenge.
So if you want some a littlegentle structure over the summer
and if you're curious aboutbullet journaling but not sure
where to start, if you want toreflect, create and reset before
the busyness of fall kicks inagain, it's perfect to join our

(04:51):
challenge.
It's also a lovely way to stayconnected with others who are
building a business withintention, joy and care, as we
like to do it in the Yavelsphere.
So, just so you know, we aretaking a break during the summer
, during the challenge, as thepodcast is not going to be here

(05:14):
over the summer.
I just wanted to say I hope youhave a summer that is
nourishing and calm, and even ifit's a little bit chaotic at
times.
So if you're looking for alittle anchor, come join us.
I'll be journaling rightalongside with you.
Don't forget to eat and knit orstitch your fibers.
See you in the community.
Bye.
