We think it's our industry, company, corporate culture, business outlook, boss, or title that most impacts our success and satisfaction in our work. We tend to believe the grass is greener in a different job situation. In my research and as a practitioner, I find that ultimately these are all neutral circumstances. It is what we make them mean about us and our future prospects that is the most accurate predictor of our career advancement and well-being.
