(01:14):
live a life of ease, intentionand mojo.
Let's do this.
Hey, girl, hey, and boys andnon-binaries, y'all are welcome
here.
Welcome to Pocketful of Mojo, and today we're going to jump
right into it.
(01:34):
It's going to be a juicyepisode and no need to take
notes.
We're going to be going througha list of 20 amazing small
shifts that can lead to reallybig changes, and this school of
mojo is here for you.
So I've captured all the geniusyou're going to hear today and
you can grab this list from alink in the show notes so that
(01:55):
you can just sit back, tune inand listen for what resonates
with you.
But first we're going to revisitour old friend, the mantra of
the week.
This one is particularlyexcellent, so let's dive right
in.
Our mantra for the week.
This week is I choose habitsthat make me feel good about
myself.
Hmm, sounds simple, right, butsimple don't mean easy, and we
(02:20):
know this.
So let's unpack it together.
I choose habits that make mefeel good about myself.
I choose because who's incharge?
You are babes.
When we say I choose, itautomatically puts us back in
the suit of armor that makes usfeel empowered, in control and
(02:41):
at the top of the food chainwhen it comes to knowing what's
best.
It takes us away from the noiseof comparison and outside
influence and reminds us to bemindful and intentional when it
comes to how we spend our time, our days and our lives.
I choose habits that make mefeel good about myself.
(03:02):
So what is a habit?
It's your usual, your go-to.
It's a thing that a person doeson the regular, routinely and
repeatedly.
Now, the habit alone can begood or bad, and that can all be
totally subjective.
So what we're looking for hereis how it makes you feel, and
(03:23):
only you know that.
Only you are able to decide.
I choose habits that make mefeel good about myself.
Imagine a day where all you didwas things that felt good.
I'll wait.
Sounds amazing, right?
And what if I told you that youdon't need to be sick to get
(03:46):
better?
What if, after today's episode, you incorporated just one habit
that got you closer to a lifewhere there isn't a day that
goes by where you don't engagein an activity that guarantees
that you feel good aboutyourself?
What would change?
What would be different?
I choose habits that make mefeel good about myself.
(04:13):
Feeling good about yourself,it's not a luxury, it's an
entitlement, my friend.
It's not something that youhave to earn or achieve once you
complete your to-do list or areliving the life you see on
Instagram Right here, right now.
You deserve to feel good aboutyourself because look at you.
(04:35):
You're amazing.
Look at all the things you'vedone, the times that you've
failed and gotten back up, thepeople you love and who love you
all.
Because you are exactly who youare.
Period, you're worthy offeeling good.
Let me say that again At anytime.
You are worthy of feeling goodand remember who's in charge.
(04:57):
Here you are and you want thisfor yourself, and choosing
habits that make you feel goodis an express line to capturing
that feeling.
More often, with intention, Ichoose habits that make me feel
good about myself.
Okay, let's give it up for theweekly mantra.
(05:21):
That one was juicy, but let'sget into our list.
Let's start by looking at whysmall shifts matter the self,
the mojo, the feeling of beingan unstoppable force of nature.
It's not found at a weekendretreat or by burning down your
life or a massive life pivot.
Look, despite what you mightthink, if you want to live a
(05:42):
life of more ease, you don'thave to burn it all down and
start from scratch.
That's the beauty of Mojo.
You can start right where youare.
Because the truth is is thatthat feeling of ease and we do
love ease it's rediscovered whenyou're acting with intention,
in the in-between moments, whenwe slow down, when we tune in,
(06:05):
when we make these microadjustments that change our
trajectory and they get us backon track, and these shifts
aren't fancy or flashy.
They're simple, but simpleisn't the same as shallow.
These are deep, intentionalchanges that bring you back to
yourself one breath, oneboundary, one moment at a time,
(06:26):
and I got to tell you before wedig into these 20 ways to shift
into mojo.
This has truly been my ownpersonal secret sauce to
personal connection andtransformation.
In 2021, when I was a shell ofa human, I was really deliberate
about the habits that I wantedto adopt, and it had the double
benefit of helping me get toknow myself again, what I liked,
(06:50):
what my needs were, and had thebonus impact of reminding me
how empowered I really am tolive a life that I love, and
that, my dear listener, is all Iwant for you, and that's what
Mojo Mastery is all about.
So here we go.
I've broken down the 20 bestplaces to start and included a
bonus mantra here and there thatyou can carry with you.
(07:11):
You don't have to do them all,but when you see how effort and
time are replaced with intentionand focus, you'll be excited to
tackle them all.
So, to make it easy once again,I've broken them down into
sections so that you can easilythink about how you want to
weave these into your day.
So we'll start at the beginning.
You're rested, you'vesurrendered all momentum from
(07:34):
the day before and your body hasgone through its magic and
rested, reset, healed, recharged, and you open your eyes and
you're ready to start a wholenew day.
So what do you do?
You grab your phone.
Not anymore home slice.
That shit is toxic, I know, Iknow, and I'm the worst for it
too, and it's been one of theharder roadblocks to overcome.
(07:57):
But, babe, whatever is on thatphone will be there after
breakfast, I promise.
Let me convince you why theaffirmation here is today I'll
have a good day on purpose.
You'll feel your best when youwake up without your phone.
Dare you to try it, becausewhat you're doing is you.
Let your own energy greet youfirst, not someone else, not
(08:20):
someone's to-do list, not whatthe internet tells you you
should be doing, not the news, just you.
This is the part where you canstart the day with a big thank
you, because a new day is notpromised, it is a gift.
And when we open our eyes andour first thoughts are how great
is this day going to be?
You open your mind andkickstart your imagination to
(08:43):
start imagining all the wonderthat the day might have for you,
and you want to be ready.
On to number two.
This one's for my friends whojournal.
I offer you the prompt how am Idoing?
Really Not how you should be,how you are, no pretending, no
performing.
When you start to pull thisthread, you'll be amazed at how
(09:05):
this activity really helps youto dial into what's going on.
What's the reality of yoursituation, what have you been
successfully ignoring?
And what this is is it's achance to practice some grace
and you can adjust your day andyour self-talk to meet you where
you are In reality.
You can't just walk into apharmacy and ask for medicine.
(09:26):
You have to know what's goingon in order to respond to
yourself in a way that reallyserves you properly.
No band-aids here, just real,honest-to-goodness self-love.
Your mantra for this one can besomething like I allow my words
to reflect my unwavering beliefin my worth.
And for number three, we can'ttake care of the soul and the
(09:50):
mind and forget about the vessel.
It's time to take care of thatbody, that meat suit that is a
miracle and facilitates all ofthis other magic.
Show it some love.
And here's where you can start.
Take a walk with no destination.
Your mantra here can besomething like my body deserves
to be taken care of, because youare the only one in charge of
(10:13):
that.
And it doesn't have to be amarathon or take up your whole
morning, but move your body.
No input, no earbuds, justlisten and let your body lead.
Look around, notice what youusually ignore.
Your environment becomes amirror when you're present, and
this is also a great exercisefor your intuition and is a
(10:35):
perfect time to tune into yourself-talk and make sure that
it's nothing short of glowing.
You are your own publicist andyou will see yourself the way
that you speak to yourself, andwhen you speak to yourself with
love, you're going to seeyourself starting to act
accordingly.
See how it all fits together.
Let's keep going.
(10:55):
Now let's talk nourishmentversus the noise.
For number four, I want toinvite you to make a meal just
for you.
No multitasking, no performance, just nourishment.
You're going to want to slowdown the pace, pick your
favorite recipe and doeverything that you always do,
but this time with intention.
(11:17):
The intention is that this isfor you.
Then you can shift toobservation, where you can
witness how sacred it feels tofeed yourself with presence.
Now you don't have to prepareevery meal this way, but this
practice allows you to integratesome of this mindfulness more
often and bring pleasure back tothe preparation.
(11:39):
Your reminder to do this can befound in the mantra my body is
my ally, restoring, strengthening and guiding me to
my best life.
Now I can't go further thannumber five without this
friendly and gentle reminder.
Say no to something that you'redoing out of obligation, because
that yes was costing you.
(12:01):
I want you to watch how muchyour energy shifts when you
start protecting it, and themore you do this, the more
empowered you will feel, becausethis is you showing you the
respect that you thought youwere showing the person that you
were saying yes to.
This little redirect is an actof getting yourself a little
further up the food chain whenit comes to priorities, and if
(12:24):
you're feeling jittery abouttackling this one, the mantra
here, no is no, and I say so toprotect my peace.
Now the next micro shift isnumber six, and that is to audit
your calendar.
Just have a look, and ifthere's something that's on
there that drains you, it doesnot belong, because busy does
(12:45):
not mean that you're aligned.
This is your chance to makespace for what actually fuels
you.
But, steph, who's going to cleanmy house?
Well, what options have youconsidered?
Is it time to hire a cleaner?
Do the kids do their fair share?
Is there a way that you can doit and make it enjoyable, like
for me?
I take care of it all once perweek.
(13:06):
I call it my Cinderella day,and after coffee and the
crossword, I take two mojogummies, I plug in my favorite
podcast or playlist and I get toit.
I got my detailed list of tasksand I cross them off one by one
so satisfying.
And then you know what else Ido.
I forget about the housekeepingfor the rest of the week
because I know that I'll get toit next Tuesday, because and I
(13:30):
mean, I do clean as I go andmaintain the house, but I don't
let the task ahead of me erodemy headspace, and this has been
a favorite mantra of mine.
I am the president of doingwhat I want and I fill my agenda
accordingly.
Have fun with it Now.
Number seven is for mymeditators.
Out there, next time you sit toclear your mind, gently ask
(13:53):
your nervous system am I calm orjust functional?
Big difference and your bodyknows your body will never lie
to you.
So from there, simply sittingand focusing on your breath for
five minutes or 15, if you canget there, this can change the
game and get you back on solidground.
(14:14):
The boogeyman in your brain maystill be around, but this
mindful meditation or just timewith your breath has regulated
your brain chemistry to arm youwith the clarity and strength
that your anxiety was eating uplike a half-priced buffet.
You can ground yourself in themantra being at peace with the
(14:34):
inner me makes me happy, because, I mean, facts are facts, am I
right?
Now let's tap into energy andexpansion.
Number eight celebrate a smallwin in a big way.
Pop the metaphorical champagneor the real champagne, I don't
care.
Self-recognition is magneticand only you know how hard it
(14:58):
was to do that thing.
Only you know the differencethat small win has made in your
life.
So why wait for everyone elseto notice and celebrate?
And this activity is a surefireway to get out of the lack
mindset and into abundance.
Grounding yourself in thefeeling of self-recognition is
guaranteed to catapult yourenergy and your self-worth.
(15:21):
Time well spent and champagnethat's always money well spent,
in my opinion.
But let's go into number nine.
Feed your soul, not your scroll.
I'm not saying get rid of theapps, just temper it.
Read or listen to somethingexpansive, something that
stretches you, something thatfeeds your curiosity, something
(15:48):
that uplifts you or enlightensyou, because when you're green
you grow and when you're ripeyou rot.
When you're ripe you think youcan stop learning, you can stop
feeding your brain with healthycontent.
So your call.
Moving on to number 10, it mightbe a good time to just be still
, light a candle, play some softmusic and then do nothing.
(16:10):
Not because you earned it, notbecause you're tired, but
because you're allowed.
Rest isn't earned, it'sessential, and the body knows
how to heal itself when we getout of the way.
Being able to sit in stillnessit is a skill, but it's one
worth developing.
Imagine trading your anxietyand your nervousness for the
(16:34):
pleasure of feeling grounded andcentered.
This is the only time you willget something for nothing, and
that something is inner peace.
Anyone else offering yousomething for nothing?
I can't give you a better dealthan that.
Moving on to number 11.
Move to release, not achieve.
Feeling pent up.
(16:55):
Are your shoulders around yourears?
Do you feel like there's a 500horsepower engine running inside
of you that just won't quit.
That's energy that has nowhereto go.
So let your body guide therhythm.
This isn't punishment, it'spermission, permission to
process, grieve.
Let go give awareness toreflect.
(17:16):
But, as a good friend of mineonce told me, go give awareness
to reflect.
But as a good friend of mineonce told me, motion is lotion.
Now let's pivot into our nexttheme, which is to clear and
connect.
So for number 12, we're goingto clear the clutter in one
space, not your whole house, maybe it's a junk drawer, maybe
it's your closet, but physicalclarity leads to mental clarity.
(17:38):
Small space, big shift.
I did this the other day andthe change that it had on my
headspace was immediate.
I felt proud of my space, invigorated by my environment,
and had the peace of mind thatit was simply no longer on my
to-do list and, as a result, Ihave better habits now to keep
it that way, because now Iconsciously want to protect my
(18:02):
space and my peace.
Moving on to number 13.
Speak the thing that you'vebeen avoiding, say it, say it
out loud, get it out of yourheart and out of your head and
into a safe space.
Truth is energy medicine.
So if you're feeling drained byhaving the same conversation
(18:24):
with yourself over and over andover about that thing that's
been bugging you, it's time toget it out of your head and into
its next stage, whether that'sconfiding in a friend or just
confronting that ick that's beenweighing you down, honey.
It's time to drop the weight ofthe unknown and shed light on
that situation that you've beenavoiding.
(18:46):
Give it some room to breathe, take shape and evolve into
whatever comes next.
You're ready, which is a greatinvitation for number 14.
Connect with yourself.
Write a letter to the you whofeels like home Because she's
not gone, she's just waiting fora safe return.
It means writing to the versionof you that feels grounded,
(19:10):
whole, real.
Write a letter to the you thatknows your worth, your joy, your
values, where you feel safe andhonest and unedited, like you
can exhale and just be.
Write a letter to the personthat might have existed before
the world told you who to be.
This version of you is yourinternal compass.
(19:32):
When you feel lost and you'regoing to want to write this
letter to remember who you arebeneath all the noise, the
expectations, the burnout, do itto reconnect to your essence,
your calm, powerful, soulfulself, to soothe yourself during
the hard times, to serve as areminder or a guide when you
(19:53):
feel yourself drifting.
You might want to write thingslike what does she know?
What does she want you toremember, what she would never
let you forget, what lights herup?
Because this is a reflectionand a reunion.
Think of it like writing aletter to your inner anchor, to
your north star, to your softplace to land.
(20:16):
You're not writing from ego orperformance.
You're writing it from deepremembering, which ties in
perfectly with number 15.
Do a values audit.
If I stopped you in the streettoday and asked you to list your
values, could you do it?
When was the last time youchecked in on your values?
Are you operating on a systembased on values that were given
(20:38):
to you or have you curated yourown list?
This simple exercise canamplify your relationship with
yourself in a huge way, and it'simportant to note that if you
don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything, and we
don't want that.
Now.
Do we Check out season two, episode one for an episode
dedicated solely to uncoveringyour values and how it can
(21:02):
upgrade your life and your mojo?
And for more data, go to number16.
Reflect on what felt off thismonth.
Ask yourself, why did Itolerate it?
And that's where your nextboundary begins.
If it felt off, will we do itagain?
That's up to you Now.
Our next theme is joy andrealignment.
(21:23):
So for number 17, I want you totake yourself on a solo date,
because joy doesn't needjustification.
Just intention and solo dateshave been promoted to be scary,
and you're so brave for doing it.
But what could be scary aboutdoing what you want, about doing
what brings you joy on yourtime, on purpose and showing up
(21:46):
for yourself and recognizing howdamn wonderful you are?
That doesn't sound scary, doesit Over to number 18.
Visualization Picture the lifethat feels aligned.
No rules, no limits.
Let your imagination stretch.
Even five minutes is enough.
See that person in the mirrorand build out their story.
(22:09):
What does their day look like?
What are they wearing?
How do they feel?
Stepping through that mirrorand into the person you are
becoming starts in the mind.
Thoughts become things.
Write that down and our nextpractical shift is to unfollow
content that makes you secondguess yourself.
(22:29):
You got to protect your energy.
It's sacred.
This is you editing the noiseout of your life that's pulling
you away from that vision ofyourself that is part of your
becoming.
All other applicants need notapply.
Maybe that follow made senseonce upon a time, but now you're
(22:49):
in charge of the VIP section ofwho gets to impact your
scrolling time.
Next little shift is to dosomething purely because it
feels good, not because it'sproductive or impressive, just
pleasurable.
And this is another great wayto tap into your relationship
with yourself and remember whatit is that you love, what it is
(23:12):
that feels good, whether it'salone time or hitting up the new
art exhibit, or just meeting afriend for lunch.
Tune into what your inner selfis craving and do the thing
unapologetically.
Your mojo will thank you and, lastly, remind yourself that
you're allowed to change yourmind, because what worked before
(23:36):
may not work now.
Realignment always requires alittle bit of release and just
like that we're at 20.
But you don't need to do all 20.
Start with one.
Pick the one that tugged at youthe most while you were
listening, because that's yoursign, that's your starting point
, because small doesn't meaninsignificant.
(23:57):
Small means sustainable, andsustainable is where the magic
lives.
I recently asked my Instagramaudience the question of what's
one small shift that's made abig difference, and I was so
thrilled by all the responses, like Leanne, who said how
talking nicely to herself hasallowed her to go through life
with a little more grace andgain the ability to be gentler
(24:20):
with herself.
That is a huge win.
Or Mandy, who decided to shakeup her morning routine and start
the day with stretching andaffirmations.
Controlling the narrativebefore the day does Amazing.
And Karen, who shared thatfinding a way to compliment
someone at least once a day wasa guaranteed mood booster.
(24:41):
Seeing the joy in someone elsereflecting back to her was a way
to raise the vibration of anygiven moment.
Back to her was a way to raisethe vibration of any given
moment.
These are all gold and proofthat you can design your own
micro shifts that are inalignment with who you are,
where you want to go and who youwant to be.
So here's the next steps, mojirino First, if you want to
(25:03):
download this lovely gift ofgame-changing shifts, you are
two clicks and an email addressaway from getting your very own
copy of this list.
We just went through Easy peasyand I'd love to hear from you.

(25:23):
decided to try this week.
So feel free to bookmark thisepisode so you can revisit it
and be sure to share it withepisode so you can revisit it
and be sure to share it with afriend who could also benefit
from these thought starters.
And, the best part, you canrevisit this list again and
again.
It's there whenever you feelcalled to shake up your routines
and adopt some funky new mojohabits.
(25:44):
So remember, my gorgeous friend, you're not far from yourself.
You've just been a little loud,a little busy, a little pulled.
These shifts, they are thebreadcrumbs back home.
Come back to you, you're worthit.
And just like that, you've gotyour own pocketful of mojo,
(26:10):
ready to face the world with allthe magic you were born with
and a shine like the force ofnature that you inherently are.
Now go, keep your mojo high andyour self-doubts low, and we're
going to catch you next time.
Until then, stay playful, staykind and put mojo in everything
you do.
Talk soon, legend.
(26:31):
Now go do your thing.
Ciao.
For now you
