Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome to Podcast Suck.
A podcast about starting apodcast where we dive headfirst
into the wild, wacky andsometimes frustrating world of
podcasting.
If you've ever sat down with amicrophone hit record and
thought what on earth am I doing?
Or if you're just curious aboutthe magic behind your favorite
shows, then you're in the rightplace.

(00:22):
Get ready for laughs, insightsand a whole lot of what not to
do advice as we embark on thispodcasting journey together.
Let's dive in.
If you think your podcast isjust a place to share value, you
are leaving money on the table.
The truth is, most businessowners treat their podcasts like

(00:46):
it's a TED talk, but the oneswho win, they, treat it like a
sales machine.
Today, I'm going to show youhow to make every single episode
do the heavy lifting so you canstop chasing leads and start
converting them.
Let's dive in.
Let's dive in.

(01:13):
Your podcast isn't just content,it's strategy.
Every episode equals atouchpoint that should build
trust, warm up cold leads andanswer objections that haven't
even been told to you yet.
It's not fluff.
It's your pre-sales process onautopilot.

(01:35):
Let's talk about warming leadsup for a minute.
Anybody have any cold leads intheir pipeline?
Raise your hand, unless you'redriving.
When you warm up leads withyour podcast, listeners get to
know you, they trust you andthey like you before you even

(01:55):
pitch Objection handling.
Ever been up against thatbefore?
I think we all have and willcontinue to be.
What you can do is use soloepisodes, just like the one
you're listening to right now,to bust myths, debunk common
fears and share results.
I love this one.
So important in this day andage, with so much noise

(02:18):
happening online Social proof, interview past clients or share
behind-the wins, subtly, withoutselling or pitching anybody.
Imagine that you can have acall to action placement within

(02:40):
each episode.
That's very non-abrasive.
I'm very non-salesy.
For example, don't just checkout the website.
Invite them to take the nextstep, to take massive action to
actually do something.
Solo thought leadership you canbreak down a pain point that

(03:06):
you know your clients have oneach episode that you're
recording these solo episodes.
Solo thought leadershipBreaking down a big pain point
your clients have and that youknow that they have have and

(03:27):
that you know that they have.
You can showcase your clientsand give an actual, real-time
case study by interviewing them.
Show the transformation, tellthe story, interview them, talk
about what actually happenedBehind the scenes.
Everybody likes a peek behindthe curtain, especially when
they're interested and theyfollow your brand.
They're engaged with your brand.
Let them hear how you solveproblems in real time.

(03:50):
This is one of my favorites, because I do it a lot on this
show Mini trainings, five to 10minute solutions that show your
expertise and lead to your offer.
Today, I'm teaching you how towarm up leads, leverage your

(04:10):
podcast to work for you, notjust with you.
Then I'm going to give you theopportunity to book a call with
me If you still have been on thefence and haven't taken action
to start a podcast to radicallychange your life and your
business.
These mini trainings, five to10 minute solutions that

(04:31):
showcase your expertise and leadto your offer.
These allow you to do somethingfirst for the prospect, do
something first for the listenerand then ask for something.
See how that works.
Here's the ROI of podcasting asa sales tool.
First of all, you do not need ahundred thousand downloads.

(04:57):
You need the right 10 people tohear the right message and take
action.
That's what you do need.
You understand the difference.
I saw a meme last week of itwas a group.
It was a picture of a group of50 people and the caption said

(05:17):
my post was only seen by 50people.
My post was only seen by 50people and the caption of the
photo says this is a photo of 50people A lot of people seeing
your post.
If it was a billboard or anadvertisement in person and 50
people saw that, that was 50pairs of eyeballs on your

(05:38):
message.
With a podcast, you don't needbig numbers, you need the right
numbers.
You need the right 10 people tohear the right message and take
action.
I've had clients go fromlistener to customer without
ever booking a sales callbecause the podcast did the work

(05:59):
.
I remember a couple of years agoI got done interviewing a
friend of mine, slash prospect.
She knew she wanted to start apodcast.
She knew she was going to hireme to do it.
We met at an event in Las Vegas.
We get done with the interview.
She went from saying yes, Ineed a couple of months to tell
me more about this.

(06:19):
And when I told her more aboutthis she said perfect, send me
everything over, let's getstarted.
And I didn't even tell her howmuch it was and I said so, do
you want to know how much it wasor is?
She said sure, entertain me.
She didn't even care how muchit was, I had provided enough

(06:42):
value.
I met her in an event.
We met at a group dinner at anevent in Las Vegas.
We hit it off.
We built rapport.
I met her husband.
We spent the whole weekendtogether with everyone at the
event.
We watched the Super Bowltogether.
We stayed in touch.
We were part of the samemastermind group.
I invited her to be on mypodcast.

(07:03):
She followed up with me to beon my podcast.
Listen, when you invite aprospect to be on your podcast
and you don't book them rightaway for whatever reason which
should never happen and theyfollow up with you, unless you
hate money, get them booked assoon as possible.
This has happened numeroustimes, not where they don't ask

(07:27):
how much it is, but it's so.
I don't think we give enoughcredit to people and how
successful they really are, because there's a lot of money
out there and you really don'tknow how successful someone is
until they tell you or you seetheir work or whatever it may be

(07:49):
.
So don't just assume.
They may or may not be able toafford what I do.
They may not care how much itcosts.
Sit with that for a minute.
Let's quickly recap.
Your podcast is a pipeline, arelationship builder, a deal

(08:13):
closer.
You need to ask yourself aquestion If your podcast isn't
closing deals yet, why not?
And, of course, I'd be grosslynegligent to not tell you that
if you want help turning yourpodcast into a client-generating

(08:34):
machine, we should schedule atime to chat sooner rather than
later.
There's a link directly to mycalendar in the show notes
podcastlaunchlabcom orpodcastlaunchlabcom.
Click schedule a call.
It goes right to my calendar.
Yes, it's me.
We'll spend 15 minutes talkingabout what's possible Questions,

(08:58):
thoughts, ideas, feedback,suggestions.
Please send me a DM over onInstagram at podcast suck.
That's podcast two S's, justlike the show name.
Let me know you listened tothis episode and whatever
questions you have, I'm here toserve you.
We may do business together, wemay not.
I don't care either way, because I only care about one

(09:22):
thing that you aggressively runin the direction of the goals
that you're aligned with and youdo what you know that you
should be doing.
If starting a podcast is partof that, do it.
Your life will be radicallychanged, your business will be
radically changed and the peoplethat you get to interact with

(09:44):
because you had them on yourpodcast will be impacted for the
better.
How do I know?
Because I've been living thistruth for the past decade and I
don't see any plans of slowingdown or stopping, because it
works.
Seeing people radically changetheir life and their business

(10:06):
because they started a podcastwill never get old.
Thanks for your time today.
There's a lot of things youcould have been doing, a lot of
places you could be, but youdecided to take 10 minutes out
of your day and hang out with me, and for that I appreciate you.
