Quick fix with Alright, well, this is gonna be fun.
Strap yourself in. It's funny, it's relaxing, it's
heartwarming. What you gotta picture, as well
as out the back of the van, there's trestle tables all set
up with everyone's things that they collect all over them.
So we're in the van, we're out of the van, we're back in the
van, we're back out of the van again, and we're gonna kick it

(00:25):
off with Harrison the Mad Back to the Future fan.
And it is starting. I'm just waiting until we're at
88 mph now. I see some of the things that
you've got set up out the back of the van, and we're going to
go out and have a look at those soon.
First recording from out side ofthe van while connected to the
van. We'll go and take the mic out

(00:46):
the back there and have a look. You've got it set up on the
trestle table. I can see a hover board.
I can see all sorts of things. I know I'm not.
I don't want to look until we goout there, but it looks like
you've set up a little stall. Yeah, no, yeah.
It's funny because my dad actually told me I might just
bring some stickers down here, just put some prices on them.
I said if you do that I will disown you.
Would you sell anything? No, really.

(01:08):
No, never. Everyone's got a price,
Harrison. No.
No. OK, how big is that DeLorean?
I think the DeLorean the the bigone here is a one to six scale,
so that's the biggest I've got. 1:00 to 6:00.
One to. Six, that was 6 times bigger.
You'd have a full size car. Be a normal DeLorean.
Yeah, that's a big one, man. No, no.
And I'm gonna say I don't think that's very cheap, that car.

(01:30):
I start. It was not cheap at all, I won't
lie to you. OK, so there's a whole lot of
things to unpack here. How old are you?
20. Yeah, I say you're about 20 when
I tell people. Yeah, because I tell people all
the time. I was just over at the cafe just
before and she's like, what are you recording?
I was like, oh, we're chatting to people that are into, you
know, that collect things. And I said like, and I use you
as the example every time. I'm like, like, this is dude,

(01:50):
he's like 20 and he is mad into Back to the Future and he's got
a whole bunch of Back to the Future stuff.
And they look on everyone's faceis always the same.
He's like, huh, I know, I'm like, I know.
I don't. I don't know why.
So let's start with that. Yeah.
Why? Why?
Well, it was actually I saw the movies back in like 2008, so
when I started kindergarten and the.

(02:10):
Yeah. Like a long no.
Let's just stop on that for a 2nd 2008.
Yes, you were in kindergarten. Yeah, sometimes.
I forget just how old I am. And then and then you come along
and say something like that. Yeah, yeah.
And it's like when people come up to me and they go, oh man, I
used to listen to you when I wasmy mum was driving me to primary
school. I'm like, oh.
That's a while ago. Man, Yeah.

(02:35):
OK, so you watched them back in 2008?
Yeah, so the first one I saw back in 2008, and I think it
basically stemmed from the nostalgia of the 80s, like
seeing the DeLorean speed aroundthe car park, Twin Pines Small
on Saturday. Yeah.
And I just remember thinking, God, I'd love to own something
like that someday. Oh, yeah.
And so I, I remember I watched Part 2, Part 3, and I kept

(02:56):
watching them over and over and over through all the years.
And I thought, I wonder if there's anything that's actually
being sold. And that's another story.
There's one of the items that I've got.
Yeah. That relate to the films.
Yeah. That's just.
It's so funny that you have thislike the nostalgia thing for the
80s considering you weren't around for any of.
It it's funny because I actuallycollect a bunch of 80s
memorabilia, not just my back tothe future things my mum

(03:16):
actually tells me. I think you were born in the
wrong era. I am, yeah.
You're, you're made for the 80s.Yeah, the 80s.
It's funny. I saw a study recently.
It showed. It was Simon Coustenmacher that
was in. Yeah, the demographer.
Did you hear him? And he talks about different
demographics. And one of the things on his
Twitter that I saw was where people consider the best music

(03:40):
era, the best fashion and all those kind of things.
And it moves with when you were born, essentially for everyone,
it's their teenage years. So if you were born in 1990,
you'd be thinking, oh, 2005 fashion, like that was the pay
and you know the music from 2005.
Whereas I couldn't even tell youa song that came out in 2005.

(04:03):
But for me, mid 80s Oh. Yeah, those were the times.
Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, all this 80s stuff that OK, so probably
around my age most people would go, oh the 80s were the best.
What a fun time the 80s were though like.
I mean the must have fun becauseI wasn't alive for him.
Yeah. But, you know, I do wonder, you
know, how people would look at like current time as being very

(04:26):
PC and there's a lot you can't do and you can't say that, well,
that sort of stuff. But I do wonder if people that
were teenagers in the 60s would have been looking at the 80s
going, oh, God, the way it is now is so much more loose back
in the 60s because everything has happened like this over time
where where people go can't really say that anymore, you
can't do that. You know, it progresses.

(04:47):
There is a cafe just around the corner from here that I found
just the other day when I was down here recording.
It's fully 80s. Have you seen that's?
Good. I haven't.
Oh, you have? To go there.
Yeah, Harrison's going to lunch at the 80s Cafe.
I, I'm not sure what it's called.
I'll have to, I'll find out whatit's called.
But the tables outside have got all like 80s stickers and

(05:10):
memorably and stuff all over them.
The whole inside, it's all full. It's like going into the 80s.
Sounds like Cafe 80s from Part 2of Back to the.
Future Yeah. So you probably know everything
about that. I can't even remember Part 2.
Yeah, no, fun fact, I can actually recite all the dates
they time travel to in all threemovies.
No. Yeah. 198518852000 and 15.
You give me one of those years, I can tell you the date.

(05:30):
Oh, the actual date of it. Actual date, time, everything.
2015. 4:29 AM Wednesday, October21st, 2015.
Yeah. 1888. January 1st, 1885, 12:00 AM.
1984 was that. 85 So that would be Saturday, October 26, 1985,
1:20 AM and 0 seconds. What time was the time on the
clock when they. November 12th, 1955, 10:04 PM.

(05:54):
That's fun. Have you been to Universal
Studios? I.
Haven't I really wanna go there,man?
Yeah, I wanna do that. There's something very cool
about standing there and lookingat the what is it?
The clock tower? The steps?
Yep. The steps to the courthouse.
Yeah, to the courthouse. And that courthouse has been
used in so many movies. Gremlins back to the a lot of
them, yeah. Oh OK, so you're into other 80s

(06:14):
movies? As well.
Terminator, Indiana Jones, All of them.
Yeah. Oh.
Indiana Jones, there's some great movie.
Did you watch the new one? I haven't.
Seen it. No, no, I haven't either.
It's a part of me that feels like, Nah, you can't.
It's it's, yeah, it's sort of stopped with the Temple of Doom,
I think. Yeah, all the stuff we used to
watch as kids, like in one of those.
Which one is it where the dude'sface is melting?

(06:36):
Ah, that was the Ark of the Covenant.
But what movie was? Yeah, yeah, that's it.
Raiders of the Lost Ark. Yeah.
Raiders of the Lost Ark, People of Doom, The Last Crusade.
No, that was the first one. I don't remember which one it
was. I think.
Yeah, it was. Yeah.
The Lost Ark. It's in the title.
Oh yeah, Yeah. So, OK, I feel like we should go
out and have a look at some of these things.

(06:56):
Yeah. What's the most expensive one?
They're expensive. So that would be the black
guitar just over there. That would be that's my even as
roadster to RS430. That Marty plays on the stage
and Back to the Future one part. One in the Battle of the Bands.
That's the exact model I had to frame by frame.
Look for the guitar he used and then find someone that actually
sold it frame by frame. I went in that movie to find

(07:17):
every. No way.
What does he say? The chord and watch me for the
changes. Oh, what was it?
OK guys, keep him something in Eminor and watch me for the swing
changes. Then he goes into Johnny B Goode
on the ES345 and. What's did the ES345 cost?
You. Well, the that's so the ES345 is
the red one that he plays that'sin Chairman Under the sea.

(07:38):
That's the evenness for RS430. So that's when he plays in the
Battle of the Bands at the startof the movie.
Yeah, that one. That's right.
So the black one cost me. What was it like 1200, I think,
yes, yeah. Now who's paying for these
things? Me, all of them.
Every single thing. It's funded by my 2 jobs.
Every single thing you hear is all from me, right?

(07:58):
What do you do? What are the 2?
Jobs. So I've got I'm an area leader
Tiger of food court Maccas at Westfield and I also do aged
care assistance at Hickey Grove with dad, who's the main
maintenance man. Oh wow.
And that money goes to funding this.
So it actually goes into fundingthis, but pardon me.
What I've done is Macas money ismy spending money, my splurging
money. Yeah, and Hakia is my 88 mph

(08:20):
money. So I'm actually saving up for a
real DeLorean. Like 88 miles per.
Hour. That's what I've named have.
You seen the one? That's is it here on the coast
or in Sydney? There are I think.
It's here on the coast. Yeah, I've.
Seen. I've seen one driving down the
road. 2 De Loreans on the on theroad yeah 'cause there's a De
Lorean Owners of Association of Australia, yeah, part of on
Facebook. What'll that set you back for a
full size real de Lorean that you can drive around?

(08:42):
Oh. In American dollars I think the
cheapest I've seen is like 130,000.
Oh, Josh, I've. Got a while ago.
And the doors do open. Bow, wings, everything, yeah.
Man, I love that you've got thisdream.
Yeah, and I also know that you'll get there.
Oh, absolutely. I know you'll be driving one of
those one day. Yeah.
How cool you wearing it back to the?
Future T-shirt indeed. Yeah, I was.

(09:02):
I was thinking between this or the pod van.
I thought, no, I have to go withthis one.
Are you got a pod van? Another pod van?
Yeah, the the teal one that I bought, yeah.
Yeah, it's so cool. Yeah.
Alright. Well, I think we need to go out
and have a look through your things here.
Yeah, yeah. All right.
We've extended our way out the back of the van.
This is the first time this has ever happened.
This is fun. This is almost like being on the
on the walls. OK, Take us through some of the

(09:23):
things that we have here on thistable.
So we'll start with these two here.
So these are special patches that I've got.
So these came from a documentarythat I have called out of Time
Saving the DeLorean Time Machine.
Yeah. It was run by a man named Joe
Walzer. So he commandeered a bunch of
Back to the Future fans, enthusiasts, prop designers,
costumers, that sort of thing, even the creator of the DeLorean
time machine themselves. And they restored the entire on

(09:45):
screen a car and it's they restored it completely to its
car, to how it is now the. Actual what do you mean the a
car? So in the Back to the Future
movies, there was the A, the B and the C car.
So the A car is the star car. So the one that was used in all
the scenes all through the movies are the B car is the
parts car. So that was dismantled entirely
in Part 2 and completely torn pieces.
I'm going to and. Snaze was the word I was going

(10:08):
for. Oh sorry, you nearly walked
right into my snaze. I'm so sorry.
That would have been enjoy your flu.
Hell of a shot. It's a nice story to have as to
how you got your flu. This is from rabbit special rap.
It's the rabbit flu. It's like bird flu.
It's like all those ones, but more fun.
It's the fun. Flow.

(10:28):
Oh God, yeah. So what were these patches from?
So these are these. Are like patches that you you
would sell onto a jacket or something?
Why have you not done that? Because these ones are so
special. These ones are special.
Yeah. So I'll flip this around.
So these are actually both signed.
So this one is done by Joe Wall.So this is patch 167.
Yeah. This is the 10th anniversary of
the official restoration projectof the DeLorean time machine

(10:49):
itself, and this one is a flux capacitor patch that is actually
signed by Bob Gale at the bottom, the creator of Back to
the Future. Yeah, I'm glad you said that,
because then I was going to haveto go.
Who's Bob Gale? And then you would have.
Robertson, Echelon. Given me that look, yeah, That I
know that you would give me. Yeah.
Let me just strike a pose because the photo's been taken.
Eddie looking like Christopher Columbus.

(11:12):
You've got a license plate. I do this is out of.
Time. So this is my Part 1 and Part 2
license plates that I have. This is the one.
This is the license plate from the DeLorean.
Yep in that. One that's the original and this
is the barcode license plate because.
They go to the future. 2015 and doc changes it to the barcode
license plate. Yeah.
Have you scanned it? I haven't, no.
I wonder if it takes you like itprobably does something.

(11:34):
Maybe, but never tried it before.
Where's my phone? Who took my?
Phone. Yes, it's in my It was in my
back pocket. Jeez, you turn your back for one
second. Harrison's got your phone in his
back pocket. No, I'm just.
Gonna no go for it please. Gonna scan it.
If it does anything. What if, like, no one's ever
done this before and no. And it's a a thing that's built
in where the first person to do it wins a DeLorean.

(11:55):
I doubt it man. And I'm just going for 30 years.
I doubt it. But no one thought of it.
It's like that. Did you watch Ready Player One?
Yes. Cool movie.
Yeah. But that's the thing.
There was like a a hidden thing inside the keys.
The three keys, here it is, herewe go scanning it and I'm going
to win it to Lorian. Yeah, didn't think so.

(12:18):
It comes up with links to buy itfor $33.
No. So actually it's a fun fact
about this because you were scanning the license plate, fans
have actually speculated that these numbers here, 1361139666,
these actually correspond to a code that was put in by
Zemeckiscale or the director Steven Spielberg.
But all three have so far can either confirm or denied what
those numbers actually mean. Now when you're putting out a

(12:38):
movie like this, yes, you just can't know.
Back then, when did the first one come out?
84 right 4 you. Can't know at that time that
this is going to be something spoken about 40 years time.
Yeah, they could just be random numbers.
Yeah, absolutely they could be. If you knew, oh, this is gonna
be have a massive cult followingyou, then you put all these
Easter eggs all through it. Or did they thinking this could

(13:02):
become a thing? Yeah, yeah.
Don't know. Yeah.
You have no idea. What do you reckon one?
Was it 1/3? 6136113966 So far no one's been
able to figure out what those numbers mean I.
Was gonna try and figure it out but you've clearly had a look.
It's up for 30 years, man. I don't know what those numbers.
What do we got here? Back to the Future.
This is my something that came very recently.

(13:23):
This is a fourth draft. December 12th December 10th,
18/19/85 of the Back to the Future script signed five times
by Tom Wilson, Biff James Tolkinwho played Principal Strickland,
Christopher Lloyd, Doc Brown, Lee Thompson who played Lorraine
and my favorite Michael J Fox, Marty McFly.
That's signed by all of them. Yeah, I noticed it's.
Certificate of authenticity on the back as well.

(13:46):
It's all sealed up. Yep.
Wow, that. Was the one that came a few days
ago, yeah. Draft of the movie, Yeah, I
might open it up and have a little no.
No, no, no. Have a little look through while
I'm having my jam croissant, no?No, no, no, no, no, no, thank
you. No.
You're not even gonna open it upand read it.
I wanna get it framed, yeah. But you could open and read it.

(14:06):
Who's gonna know? Me, I know that's the problem I
would like. With you put on some little
gloves. No, the old box go everywhere.
Not a chance. No, a little white little fluffy
like like white gloves. No, just to read a few pages.
I'm a collector by the every essence of the word.
Everything I own is just boxed up and never opened, no.
You're not getting to enjoy it. Though I get to enjoy by looking

(14:26):
at it to say I have all this stuff.
But imagine reading it. Imagine reading this.
How many drafts were done? Do you know that?
I think there were. I think there were four,
actually. Yeah, before the final revised
draft. See, so you may read this and go
look. They changed that thing.
Oh, he was supposed to say that. No, never see.
Never. Do you want me to do it?
No. I could do it and then I can
tell you. No, I'm good.

(14:48):
Any different bits? I'm good, I'm good.
I'll be like reading and go Oh my God, Doc dies.
No, no, no. Well, he does in the first film,
but you know. Oh.
Spoiler alert, ha ha. So we've got the delay.
We're seeing what else we got here.
I just some like pop vinyl, sortof.
Stuff. Yes, these are my 1 to 16 scale
model Deloreans. This is a complete set that I
have here. Yeah, what's in this briefcase

(15:08):
all? Right, let's talk about the
briefcase, shall we? So let me get down on my knees
here. This is my original 1984JVC G
RC1U. This is the camera recorder that
Marty used during the temple experiment of the DeLorean Time
Machine in the Twin Pines Mall. What?
That's the. Well, not this exact camera, but
the make and model of it, the same one.
Does it work? It does work, I have tested it.
Oh that is black and white and everything.

(15:30):
Who cool? It's black and white, black and
white. It doesn't do colour black.
And white as it was in the movies, black and white let.
Me just get a little bit of footage of that one.
I got to put that up on the I forgot my cameraman's runaway.
Yeah, he's he's. Stealing, stealing my phone.
This is the What is it? I'll say it again, it's a
1984JVC G RC1U camcorder. Yeah, black and white actually

(15:54):
works, and this is the one that Marty's using.
In Part 1, during the temporal experiment in the Twin Pines
Mall, Yes. That is.
So cool, I know. See, you've got a hoverboard.
Yes, the hoverboard. Let me talk about that.
Unfortunately no, but. It's the same colours.
Same colour scheme. Let me pull it out here.
Same colour scheme, same design,same.
This is the actual original 1984hoverboard.

(16:14):
There were two releases of this. There was a 2012 version and
there was this one which is the 1984 one.
It's so were you disappointed when those you know those things
with the wheels on them? Oh, I was heartbroken.
Yeah, and they called. Them hoverboard and they were on
wheels. I thought this is just a
reinvented Segway. Yeah, it is.
It's exactly what it is, yeah. It's Segway 2.0, like, call it

(16:35):
something like that. Don't call it a hoverboard
because that is not a hoverboard.
I've seen Back to the Future. I know what a hoverboard is.
Yeah. How?
How do we know? Oh, they do exist now, right?
No. No, I think they do.
People have actually made them and they actually play trials,
Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Not actually for. Just a couple 100 grand or
something. You can have a couple 100. 1000
bucks Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't tempt him.

(16:58):
Oh, not crazy enough to do that yet?
No, not. Yet he's saving up for his De
Lorean, so I am. Hoverboards would be pretty cool
to get around on, I reckon. Yeah.
Floating around everywhere, backand forth.
Just don't take him on water. You won't be able to go
anywhere. Let's talk about.
The giant de Lorean? Yes, the one.
The one to six scale toys de Lorean.
Yep, Alright, the bonnet. Opens and oh, you got the spare
tire in there, so that is the battery.

(17:18):
Cover. So these hold the three AAA's
and if we hit this one here, there we go.
And if you look inside, you'll see the flux lighting up.
The headlights are on and I think the backlights, yeah, the
backlights and the blinkers are also on back here as well.
So it's. It's got an actual working flux
capacitor in it. Yeah, well.
It's amazing. Yeah.
They easy to. Make when you buy it.
Yeah, I bought. This.

(17:40):
Yeah, I definitely bought this. Did you say how?
Much this one was. Yeah, this one.
Was 200 bucks because the blokesdidn't actually know how much
they go for. It's just like 2. 100 bucks.
Hey man, the guitar was 1200. This thing was 200.
He was. He wasn't sure how much they
would actually go for. I would have thought this.
Would be way more than the guitar they are.
This thing, from what I've seen, one of these goes for about 2
1/2 thousand, yeah, I would think.

(18:00):
So that makes sense, yeah, whichis working towards your deposit
for a real full size one. Yeah.
And that is very cool. The detail.
No, it's. Symaculates, mate.
Good on you mate. Thank you very much.
That is so cool. I look forward to checking in
with you again at some point andsee I've even had.
Some videos. Grown.
I've got SO. Much more stuff at home.
Really. Oh yeah.
Oh. Yeah, share the video with me

(18:20):
and we'll we'll put it up on theon the page.
That'll be great. Absolutely, Yeah.
Thank you. Thanks very much, Rabs.
