start your day. We use the power of positive words
to help you live the positive, uplifting lifestyle that you deserve.
(00:26):
To day. Let's talk about happiness, whether you're feeling a
little bit down or just what to enhance you will be.
We've got the Lucky seven seven tips to help you
enjoy your life more and maybe feel that a little
(00:47):
bit happier with your life and with yourself, with your spirit,
your self esteem, knowing that you can trust yourself and
(01:08):
you can create your own happiness. First tip, easy, peasy smile.
Smiling can make us happier because we smile because we're happy,
and the smiling triggers the release of dopamine in our brains.
(01:32):
So try to start the day by smiling at yourself
in the mirror. Or you can smile with somebody else,
but make it genuines and maybe not with total strangers.
They might think you're a little nutty. You know what
(01:53):
to do, Just smile. Number two exercise it's not just
body thing. It is a body thing, but not just
a thing for our bodies. It's a mood booster. It
is said to reduce stress, anxiety, and the simple symptoms
(02:16):
of depression. Because sometimes when we start exercising, if we
really get into it, we kind of forget about everything
else just for that time that we're exercising. Sometimes we
don't feel like exercising, but if we just make a start,
(02:41):
even you know, just start walking, get home, we will
get drawn into it, into the good feeling that comes
from it, and then there you go. Of course, exercise
won't make you feel one hundred percent better the rest
(03:01):
of the day in night, but it's a start. It's
one of the little ingredients or components that make the
whole picture. Doesn't have to be running a marathon. It
could be even yoga, dancing, walking with a YouTube vid,
(03:22):
walking around the block, walking on your lunch, or just
it just kiss the blood flowing and it gets us going.
Next thing, this one is I was gonna say it's
easy peasy, but sometimes it is not that easy to
get to sleep when we've got things on our minds
(03:43):
or just just we're just stirring and buzzing. But that's
our third tip for happiness. To prioritize sleep, Try to
get at least seven hours of sleep each night, and
(04:04):
I hold my hand up. Sometimes I don't make it.
It's my goal. I often make it, but sometimes you
might just go through that period when you can't sleep.
Where you sleep dare I say it five hours, six hours?
But as soon as you can get back into a
(04:28):
regular routine of longer sleep, it's better. You wake up better.
You look better when you look at yourself in the
mirror when you wake up, when you've had a good,
nice sleep. Believe me, the rest is essential for our
good health, for our brain function, and for the emotional wellbeing.
(04:52):
So don't underestimate its power. Don't think you can indefinitely
skimp on the sleep because you're doing something because you
just can't sleep. Sometimes we can listen to the power.
(05:13):
We can listen to and be open to the power
of music that can help us sleep. Sometimes those kinds,
the kind of music that is said at a rhythm
a temple that encourages us to just relax and before
(05:34):
we know it, or sleep or sleep stories, those kind
of things can help us. We've got to get that sleep.
That's that's the thing that helps us do the other tips.
Because we're rested. The next tip is to practice gratitude.
(06:01):
Be thankful for even tiny good things in our life.
Writing down three things that we're grateful for in the
morning if we have time, or in the evening if
that works better for us, just three things to keep
reminding us we are blessed, We are the blest and
(06:25):
cared for. Even you breakfast, your meals, you're grateful that
you have food. You got a fridge. It's got food
in it, even if it's cotton and milk, it's got something.
And maybe hopefully you know those kind of things that
we take for granted, will think, oh, it's no big deal.
We could be grateful for it. The water comes from
(06:48):
our possets, all kinds of things, so it can be
grateful that we wake up in the morning. Just take
a moment every day to appreciate these small things and
big things in our lives that can make us feel happier,
(07:09):
more content. Tip number five acts of kindness. Do good
things for others. It helps them, it helps us as
boosts our happiness, not a selfish way. It boosts our
happiness because it does us good to do good, to
(07:34):
see good. It can be a small thing volunteering, helping somebody,
helping a coal worker doesn't have to be a big
major gesture unless that's what you want to do. Just anything.
It can be even encouraging somebody online who's insecure or
(07:57):
who's very proud of what they've done. Just sitting out
good energy, good karma comes back, and it just makes
life so much more pleasant when you're nice to people.
Next thing, get out of the routine. Do something to
(08:24):
diar fernd Our brains like it, like different things, so
try something new instead of doing the same old thing
every single day. Try something new, a new route to
go wherever you need to go, learning a new skill,
(08:46):
Engaging in games like word games, things that tick all
your brain to help you to learn new things. Just
doing anything which you don't usually do but you can
enjoy doing it, learning how to do it. That's getting
(09:08):
out of your routine. And our very last tip number seven,
do you have an idea what it might be. Who's
the most important person who needs to be taken care of,
(09:28):
to be loved, to be treated gently, to be encouraged,
to be given a hug, whether it's physical or mental.
You Number seven self care and respect. Treat yourself well.
(09:51):
Set a few boundaries if you need to, so that
you're not over extending yourself. Prioritize self care, practice self love.
Give yourself the gift of time, time to yourself to
(10:13):
do whatever you want to do. If you want to
just sit and do nothing undisturbed, if you want to
read a book, give yourself that time. Give your end.
The person who gives you permission is you. Even if
you think I've got so much work to do. If
(10:35):
you're feeling stressed, if you're feeling like you need a break,
but you don't want to totally stop, just take a
little break, move away from this work that you feel
that you have to do. Have a drink, have a
cup of tea, take a little walk, just to move
(10:57):
your legers, get the blood flowing, and get your mind
and offer this thing that's stressing you out because you
think you've got got to do it. Take care of yourself.
You are important, you're a miracle, You're amazing. Take care
(11:18):
of yourself. Respect yourself, know when to stop pushing yourself,
take a break, then get back at it. You're in charge.
Happiness begins with us. Other people can do things that
(11:39):
make us happy, which is wonderful, but really, really, really,
it comes from inside. We are the ones who make
us happy, and what comes from others is like icing
on the cake. So stay happy as happy as you can.
(12:02):
We can't stay happy one hundred percent of the time,
of course, but make sure you grow up some kind
of happiness every day and you'll be able to find
