Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hi, this is Stefania over at Positive Affirmations and audio
stories bringing you happy thoughts, inspiration, motivation, and entertainment to
start your day. We use the power of positive words
to help you live the positive lifestyle that you so
(00:22):
richly deserve. Today is time for a reboot, a makeover.
Let's talk about a mindset makeover to transform your life
with positive thinking. Course, we can't think positive all the time,
(00:45):
but the more we can the better. Because our thoughts
are powerful, They shape our reality. They obviously influence our emotions.
We could be happy one minute, then we start thinking
about something sad that happened, something that happened years ago,
(01:07):
or something that happened an hour ago. This not around
us anymore. It's done and dusted, but still in our minds,
influencing our emotions, impacting our well being. A lot of
(01:28):
us me sometimes a lot of us struggle with negative
or those kind of depleting thoughts that can hold us back,
and we feel stuck because we don't want to be there.
Maybe we know that's not where our minds should be,
but somehow it's stuck. But the good news is we
(01:53):
have the power to control our thoughts and change them.
To be more positive and empowering. Here's a few ideas tips.
Take them or leave them. Hopefully you'll take them. Hopefully
one or more will speak out to you, resonate with you.
(02:17):
Give it a try. First thing, we have to become
aware of our thoughts, cause sometimes we have these negative
thoughts that come in our minds. We don't even realize it,
we're just sailing along on that path. But if we
can become more mindful, then we can catch it, catch
(02:40):
them as soon as they come and change them. Just
because the negative thought comes into our minds, it doesn't
mean it's stuck there. It doesn't mean we've failed, It
doesn't mean we're bad people. We have the power to
toss it, to change it, to let it go. That's
(03:01):
the thing, don't hold on, let it go. We can
start journaling. This is something you could do in a
proper journal, paper journal, or you can do it electronically
on your phone, even in a notebook. Doesn't have to
be formal, just something to write down the thoughts and
(03:25):
take note of any negative or unhelpful ones. Then next
step ask yourself, are they true? This is something? Is
this something that someone just told you? Is this something
that you have erroneously told yourself. Is this something you
(03:49):
have assumed by an outward appearance? So think about it.
Question those thoughts. Then we can become a little more objective.
We can't do it all the time, true, but any
time we can catch it as a win. The other thing,
(04:14):
how about reframing those thoughts, finding a more positive angle
on him, Like I'm not good enough? How about if
you change that to I am always learning and growing.
You're not stuck in are not good enough rut, always growing,
(04:39):
always progressing, even if it's baby steps. Then we can
do that through this reframing. Change your mindset from the
self doubt to a bit more self love, bit more confidence,
raise our self esteem a bit. That's where the responsibility life.
(05:00):
Someone else can't do this for us. We have to
do it ourselves, but we can and try to surround
ourselves with positivity, people who uplift us. There's a lot
going on in the world that can bring us down.
(05:23):
Try to have people in your circle, your immediate circle,
the circle that stems off from that circle, people that
uplift us. Activities that bring us joy. If we like
to write, if we like to walk, if we like
(05:44):
to exercise. If we like to color, coloring books, paint, sing, act,
build things, whatever it is, find some happy activities those
kind of things. It's almost like meditation because we are
so into it that our minds have blocked everything off
(06:09):
and all we can since at that moment is the
enjoyment of doing something positive, something nourishing. Then another thing.
This one works for me a lot of the time.
(06:30):
Just move change the activity from whatever I was doing,
whatever you were doing when the unwonted thought comes. If
you're just sitting, get up, make a cup of tea,
make a drink, go for a walk, Start some kind
of tasks that need doing that you haven't gotten wround to.
(06:51):
Maybe a bit of hoovery, bit of dusting, re arranging
something collection when just doing something again, to remove your
mind from just sitting and regurgitating, break the chain. Just
do something different that'll put your mind in a different direction.
(07:16):
Then our final tip for today is to practice self compassion.
Takes time to move our minds from negative to positive.
Takes time to even move to the midway point. And
(07:38):
always be compassionate and considered it of yourself and know
that you cannot you possibly let's put it that way,
you possibly cannot be one hundred percent positive. So if
you slip back, it's okay. Be good to yourself, Be
(07:58):
gentle to yourself, Be patient with yourself. Celebrate any successes
that you have along the way of your journey to
get your mind set into a better place, even in
tiny things. Celebrate you're worthy, You're good enough. Another thing
(08:23):
our less, a very last thing is positive affirmations. They
can help us because they change again the focus of
our mind from one plane to another. We've got a
(08:43):
few affirmations here, and if any of them resonate with you,
please feel free. You know, make it. Put it on
a card, write it down, put it in your wallet,
put it in your pocket, put it on your bathroom
mirror so you can see it. Repetition, repetition of the
energy that you are worthy. You're not wasting your time
(09:09):
with these affirmations. You're not wasting your time trying to
be a more positive thinker. Whenever it is possible, you
worth it. It'll enhance your life. You deserve a good life
to whatever degree you can manage. In the affirmations, I
(09:30):
am worthy of love and respect. I choose to focus
on the good in my life. I am capable of
achieving my goals. I trust myself to make the right decisions.
(10:01):
I am grateful for all that I have. I embrace
new opportunities with enthusiasm. I am in control of my
thoughts and emotions. I am at peace with myself and
