(00:22):
Day's episode is a gentle sleep story. It's time to
head off to a peaceful, enjoyable sleep with a relaxing
bedtime story. This is an original story which I wrote
for a podcast. This is the story of Sindra. She's
too busy, too stressed out, and too tired.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
To night.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
However, is different. When Cindra finally falls asleep after weeks
of stress and sleepless nights, she dreams of meeting seven
magical fairies, each blowing in a chakra color, who help
(01:09):
her to rediscover peace, balance and self love. Tonight's soothing
sleep story is one about healing from within. Let's begin
(01:50):
Sendra and the Seven Fairies of Light. Sendra sat at
her desk, staring at the glowing computer screen that never
seemed to go dark. Her inbox was a storm of
unread messages, each one talking at her in a different direction.
(02:14):
The clock on the wall blinked eleven forty seven pm.
Her eyes burned, her neck ached. She had promised her
son she'd read him a bedtime story, but she hadn't
even said good night. She sighed and closed the laptop. Tomorrow,
(02:35):
she whispered, I'll do better tomorrow, As she had been
saying that for months now, over and over. It never changed.
I'll do better tomorrow. The pressure of work, caring for
(02:56):
her parents and her grandmother, and keeping up with her
son's endless energy had left her stretched so thin she
could almost hear herself crack. Meditation videos sat unwatched in
her YouTube list. The yoga mat under her bed gathered dust.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
That night.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
When she finally climbed under the covers, sleep felt miles away.
Her mind buzzed with unfinished tasks, phone notifications, and her
own guilt, whispering, you're falling behind. Just then, a soft
knock came at her bedroom door. Mom sender sat up, startled.
(03:43):
Bryce is late, sweetheart. You should be asleep. Her seven
year old son padded into the room, clutching a stuffed dinosaur.
I couldn't sleep. You didn't meet to meet tonight. A
wave of guilt swept through her. Oh honey, I'm so sorry.
(04:04):
Mommy got caught up with work again. Bryce frowned, you
always say that the words hit harder than he knew.
Soon aside and patted the bed. Come here, I laugh.
He climbed up beside her, curling against her arm. For
(04:29):
a while, they just sat in the quiet hum of
the house. Mom Bryce said softly, are you sad? Cinder blinked.
Why do you say that you look tired a lot
even when you smile. Her heart squeezed. She brushed his
(04:52):
hair from his forehead. You're very smart, you know that,
he shrugged. Grandma says, I notice things.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
She's right.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Sondha whispered, then with a sigh. I guess I have
been tired lately, but I'm going to find a way
to feel better, I promise. Bryce looked up at her serious.
You can do yoga, luck on your phone, or just
breathe like Grandma Gliding says. That made her laugh softly.
(05:33):
You've been listening to Grandma again, haven't you? He grinned.
She says, when people forget to breathe, verries get worried.
Cinder's eyes softened. Then I'd better start breathing again. She
kissed his forehead. All right, my little wise one back
(05:57):
to bit. I'll read you two stories tomorrow. Frameise, promise.
After he laughed, Sindra sat in the dimp light for
a long while, thinking about his words. Fairies get worried,
(06:20):
she smiled faintly to herself. Maybe they do. When she
finally drifted off to sleep, the world of her dream
was waiting, clothing vivid and alive the Red Fairy. Sindra
(06:46):
found herself standing barefoot in a deep forest, glowing with
warm red light. The ground pulsed faintly beneath her feet,
as if alive. A small figure appeared before her, a
woman no taller than her hand, with crimson wings shimmering
(07:08):
like rubies. Oh who are you, Sandra asked, blinking. I
am Muona, said the fairy, her voice like the steady
beat of a drum. Guardian of the root chakra. You
have forgotten how to feel safe, Sandra frowned. Safe. I
(07:33):
have a home, a job, a family. RUNA shook her
head gently. You rush, you plan, you work, but your
roots tremble. You live in your head and forget your feet.
The ground beneath Sundra's feet glowed brighter. She felt warmth
(07:57):
rising up through her legs, steadying her. What should I do,
she asked, quietly, Walk, breathe, touch the earth, eat what
nourishes you. Speak kindly to your body, and remember you
(08:20):
belong here. Luna touched her ankle, and a wave of
calm steadied her like a heartbeat, and Sindra blinked again.
The red forest had melted into orange light. The orange Fairy.
(08:43):
Sandra found herself by a rippling lake of amber light.
The air smelt like tanderines. A playful fairy splashed out
of the water, laughing, am Sarao, She sang, fairy of
the sacral chakra. You've forgotten your joy, my joy, Sindra echoed.
(09:05):
Sarrio twirled, sending droplets of light into the air. You
give yourself, you strive, But when did you last create
for yourself? Dance, laugh without reason? Center, try to remember,
maybe before my son was born, before all this work,
(09:32):
before the deadlines. Sarrio landed on her shoulder and whispered,
you are not a machine, Center, You are water flow.
Allow yourself to feel again, pleasure, warmth, creativity. Don't be
afraid of joy. It fuels everything else. I don't even
(09:57):
remember what I'd like anymore. Sindra admitted, Then start with
small things. Paint, cook something new, play in the rain,
let your heart remember. Sarrio sprinkled orange light over her,
and Sindra felt a soft glow spreading through her belly. Gentle,
(10:23):
alive and awake. Then the light shifted again, bright and golden.
The yellow fairy, she stood on a mountain top, now
went brushing her face from beneath the rock emerged a
(10:46):
fairy dressed in golden silk, radiant like the sun. I
am so Larry, keeper of the solar plexus. She said,
you've forgotten your power. Sent to cross her arms, I
work hard, I lead a teen I'm strong, Sir, Larry
(11:09):
smiled knowingly, and yet you doubt every step. You apologize
for existing. You say yes when your soul means no.
Strength is not in force, it is clarity. Send her
lower her head. I do that. I say yes, cousin.
(11:37):
It's easier than disappointing people. The golden fairy floated close.
Then your task is simple. Begin to choose yourself. Take
back your time, your breath, your confidence. When you say no,
(12:00):
you make room for what truly matters. Her words pierced
deep SOUNDA felt warmth radiing in her chest like sunlight
breaking through clouds, and when she looked up, the world
had turned to lush green. The Green Fairy. Sundra stood
(12:30):
in a vast garden filled with vines and blooming flowers.
A gentle fairy with emerald wings knelt beside a rose bush.
I'm Aliana, she said, softly, God, h of the hard chakra.
You've closed your heart to rest. Sundra swallowed. Best feels
(12:56):
like failure. Alianna smiled sadly. And yet your heart aches
from giving too much. Your love deeply, but you forget
that love flows both ways. Rest is not selfishness, it
is balance. Tears welled up in Cindra's eyes. I just
(13:20):
don't know how to slow down without everything falling apart.
Aliana brushed her cheek with a petal soft hand. You
cannot hold the world together by sacrificing yourself. Open your heart,
even to your own weariness. Let love include you too.
(13:45):
Cindra felt something release a a not listening in her chest.
The air tasted like ment and forgiveness. The green light
sweat rowed upwards, fading into blue. The Blue Fairy. She
(14:11):
found herself standing in a sky made of clouds and starlight.
A fairy dressed in sapphire hovered before her, calm and direct.
I am Thalin, she said, guardian of the throat chakra.
You silence your tooth. Santra looked away. I don't like conflict.
(14:36):
Thelen nodded. So you swallow your needs, You pretend to agree,
You hide your pain in politeness with silence becomes a
cage CenTra. Sentra frowned, But what if I heard people
(14:56):
why speaking honestly? Who do not hurt others by being true?
Thelen replied, truth delivered with love, heals more than lies.
Ever again, sneak gently, but speak. Sandra acitated, even to
(15:18):
my family, especially to your family. Blue light shimmered through
her throat, clearing something old and tight. Her next breath
came out easier, like she'd been holding it for years.
The blue dissolved into deep indigo. The indigo fairy CenTra
(15:50):
now floated in a nice sky filled with glittering stars.
A quiet fairy with deep velvet eyes appeared, holding a
tiny lantern. I am Andre, very of the third eye.
You have forgotten how to see, Sendra blinked, But I
(16:10):
see everything work family, responsibilities, Endrew smiled. You see the surface,
not the truth behind it. You forget to look inward.
She raised her lantern, and Imma just flickered before Sindra,
her son laughing, her grandmother humming her own reflection. Weary
(16:35):
but kind, What do you see now, Endra asked myself.
Sandra whispered, and everything I've been too tired to notice.
Then trust this vision, said Andra. When you doubt yourself,
(16:57):
close your eyes. The answers are already inside. Indigo light
wrapped around her like soft night, comforting and voice. Then
finally everything turned violet and shimmering. The violet fairy. Sindra
(17:21):
stood in a gentle rain of amethyst's light. The final
fairy was tall and graceful, her wings transparent and shining
with every color of the rainbow. I am Lara, Guardian
of the Crown Chakra, she said. You have searched for
peace outside yourself, in work and approval and perfection, but
(17:47):
peace is your birthright. Sindra felt, tears slipped down her cheeks.
Then why does it feel so far away? Lyra smiled,
because you forgot to stop reaching. Peace comes when you
let go surrender. Cindra not to failure, but to life
(18:10):
as it is. You are enough. The air hummed softly
as each of the other fairies appeared, forming a circle
around her. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, all
(18:30):
shining like a living rainbow. Their voices blended into one breathe, Cendra,
live from your center. We are with you always, And
as their light merged, it flowed into her heart like
(18:52):
a sunrise. Awakening. Sindra rose till morning, sunlight streaming across
her face. For a long moment, she just lay there,
feeling lighter than she had in years. Her breathing was
(19:14):
steep and steady, her body felt grounded, her mind quiet.
Her grandmother's soft humming drifted in from the kitchen. Sondra rose,
wrapped in a robe and followed the sound. Morning Grandma,
(19:35):
she said. Clydane looked up with a smile. Good morning,
my dear, you slept in. That's the first I had
the strangest dream, Sondra said, pouring tea. They were these fairies,
each one different color. They taught me things, things but
(19:59):
less and true. Then power. It felt real, healing. Pried
dane smile deepened the corners of her wise eyes twingle
at the fairies of the colors. They've been waiting a
long time for you. You've heard of them, her grandmother
(20:22):
chuckled softly. Of course, they visited those who are ready
to listen, But their voices were always inside you, child,
You just needed to be still enough to hear them.
Sendra held her cup, warmth of spreading through her poems.
(20:44):
Just then, small footsteps came racing down the hallway. Mom
Vice burst into the kitchen, still in his pajamas. He
didn't wake me up for school. Sandra laughed, a real
easy laugh. She hadn't felt like that. Mons, it's Saturday, silly, Oh,
(21:05):
he grinned, sheeplessly, rubbing his eyes. You look different, mom, happier,
She smiled, and knelt to hug him. I feel different, sweetheart.
Did you breathe like grandma said? He asked, eyes wide.
I did, she said, softly, bushing his cheek. And the
(21:26):
fairies aren't worried anymore.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
Rice giggled. Good, maybe they'll come to visit me. Next,
cried Deane chuckled. They just might if you keep noticing things.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Sendra kissed her son's forehead. Come on, let's make pancakes together.
No rushing no emails, just us. Rice cheered with bluebies
with extra blueberries, she promised. For once, she didn't rush
to open her laptop or check her phone. She simply
(22:03):
watched her son chatter about dinosaurs and zero while her
grandmother hums softly beside them. The day was bright, ordinary, perfect,
somehow brand new. The fairies had done their work and
(22:23):
she finally was awake. And that's it for today. Have
(22:57):
you ever felt like that? Overstressed to busy? Maybe you
have to take a tip from the fairies. Just slow down.
