Let's jump into the real talk because Jared and I
did not start out with a smooth,whole food plant-based strategy.
Far from it.
Picture us in the kitchen tryingto swap out ground beef for
something healthy and actuallyenjoyable in our favorite tacos
and ending up with this mushymess that made me unhappy and
all of us exhausted.
We laugh about it now, but backthen it was frustrating

(05:10):
wandering the grocery aisles andfeeling lost, not knowing where
to find the exciting, reliableoptions, or how to make the food
like tofu or tempeh taste likeanything but a science
experiment gone wrong.
And don't get me started on thecheese attempts that tasted more
like regret than my oldfavorites.
It all felt so inefficient, likebuilding a business funnel

(05:32):
without having a clear leadmagnet.
So much wasted time and energythat could have gone into making
memories with our family andfully living our calling.

SPEAKER_00 (05:41):
We were stuck in so many mindset traps, feeling
deprived instead of empowered.
And our environment wasn'thelping either.
The struggle of trying to figureout how to stock our pantry, not
having quick systems, an endlesstrial and error that dragged on
for years.
It was like trying to run achallenge without a solid plan,
ineffective and exhausting,pulling us away from the impact

we knew God was calling us to.
But here's where it gets good.
Those bumps in the road are whatactually shaped our five-step
system, turning our hard-earnedlesson into your fast track to
freedom and enjoyment.

And through it all, God was teaching us about true
stewardship, your body as histemple, fueled for the abundance
he promises in Proverbs 21:5.
It says, the plans of thediligent lead only to abundance,
but all who rush in arrive onlyat want.

What we genuinely love for youis that while we had to learn
these things the difficult,time-intensive way, you don't.

Now let's lean into the framework.
We've shared some about it inpast episodes, our accelerator

And I love how you brought upthat this framework is your
health funnel.
Think about that.
Because what Jared and I haveseen time and again is when you
plug into this system, you aregoing to get results.
That's what happens with afunnel that works, right?
You plug in and then the outputis reliable.

And that's what we see time andtime again with our clients as
they plug into the system.

It's like an algebraic formula.
You put in the input, you'regoing to get a set output.
It just works.

And that is what excites us day after day.
So let's break it down with sometips you can use right away.
First, start with mindset.
Now, there are a lot of wrongmindsets that need to be
identified and replaced with theright ones.
But as we always say, we wantyou to do just one thing.
Just take action on one first soyou can start seeing what a huge

impact this method can have onyour life.
And the one thing we want you tofocus on when it comes to
mindset this week is to shiftfrom I can't to how can I?
This one is huge.

SPEAKER_00 (08:40):
I share this all the time with clients and patients
because when you say I can't,you stop the discussion, you
stop any forward movement.
But when you say how can I,you're asking a question.
There's discovery, they'researching for answers.
And when you actually startsearching for answers, guess
what?
You find them.
Yes, absolutely.

SPEAKER_01 (09:01):
And it's so sad that so many people get stopped at I
can't, or I couldn't.
I couldn't possibly eat thisway.
That's kind of another variant.
I couldn't possibly eat this allmy life, or I couldn't possibly
give up.
We hear that too.
I couldn't possibly give upmeat.
I just love it too much.
For me, I couldn't possibly giveup cheese.
Like, how could I ever eatwithout cheese?

SPEAKER_00 (09:22):
To which when they asked that, I asked them, you
can't or you won't.
And I know that's a little bitof a tough love question there,
but many times people say Ican't, but you love what you
love and you've been loving itfor a long time, if you're like
most of us.
And in your mind, you can'tconceive of life of not eating
this way, but I assure you youcan and you will love it.

SPEAKER_01 (09:45):
And we know this because we sit here and we
chuckle about this all the time.
We'll be eating somethingsitting next to each other at
the desk or across the table.
And we'll be just laughing,going, Oh, yeah, I feel so
deprived because we don't.
We love it.
This food's exciting.
We would never dream of goingback.
Why?
Because we've set ourselves upusing this five-step framework
for massive success.

(10:05):
We feel better at 54 than we didat 40.
We have more energy.
And my problem now is I have toforce myself to go to bed at
night.
Whereas before, I was justbarely surviving my days.
I had such low energy.
And it was stealing my time andmy joy and my opportunities to
live my full mission that God'splaced me here to live.
Meanwhile, there's people outthere waiting for the message

(10:26):
that we have, right?
You have a message God's placedin your heart.
If you keep saying, I can't or Icould never, how is that going
to help you?
It's not.
It's going to keep you stuck.
So we want you to make thatshift today.
Start thinking about whereyou're saying, either in your
mind or aloud, I can't or Icould never or I couldn't.
And understand that if thisdairy queen was able to make

(10:48):
this shift to eating no dairy atall and be happy about it,
that's the big part.

SPEAKER_00 (10:53):
I love it.

SPEAKER_01 (10:53):
And be happy about it because she loves it, it is
very possible for you too.
You just have to change yourmindset around this and how
you're speaking to yourself,your self-talk, but also what
you're saying aloud.
Next, let's move on to step two,your environment.
You'll want to set up your spacelike a high-converting landing
page.
And just one simple way to startdoing this is to stock lentils,

(11:16):
black or French lentilsspecifically, as one of your
first go-to ground beef swaps.
Now, where a lot of people messup is they don't have somebody
there to tell them what kind.
So people say eat lentilsinstead of meat.
And you're cooking up the orangelentils that turn into mush and
you're expecting that to be likeground beef or give you a
texture that's going to satisfyyou like ground beef.

(11:37):
I'm not going to tell you thatblack lentils or green lentils
are going to be exactly likeground beef, but they're going
to make a really nicesubstitute.
And if you try it and don't likeit, don't think, see, I never
could do this.
No, this is just not yourfavorite substitute for meat in
that dish.
There are so many.
We lay out all of these for youinside our accelerator

framework.
That's why I made thatintentionally one of the things
that I share with our clients onthe regular.
We even give a printout ofinstead of this, here are some
other options.
It will work really great.
And then as our clients are inthere and we have our weekly
coaching calls, they can ask us,okay, so when I substitute this,
this is what happened, or thisis what I liked or didn't like,

(12:19):
what could I use instead, orwhat might I add that makes it
different?
Or hey, I loved this.
What are some other things thatare similar to this?
And they're using that frameworkthat we've given them, that
printout of instead of thisingredient, all of these are
things you're going to want totry.
And then we have videos in thekitchen videos where we'll walk
them through exactly how to makethese swaps.

(12:40):
But it's when you don't know howand you don't think you could
possibly know how that stops youin your tracks and you can't
move forward.
It's kind of that bottleneck.

SPEAKER_00 (12:49):
It's like what we always say you don't know what
you don't know until you do.

SPEAKER_01 (12:53):
Isn't that the truth?

SPEAKER_00 (12:54):
And that's where we come in.

SPEAKER_01 (12:56):
Absolutely.
And so what we want you to takeaway from this is we're giving
you one thing here that you cantry to switch up one ingredient
in your environment.
If you try it and you don't likeit, it's okay.
But you're trying it and you'restarting to determine what I
love, what I don't love as asubstitute.
I have a ton of things I canshow you to substitute for beef

(13:20):
or ground beef that are healthy.
And you're going to find some, Ipromise you, that you absolutely
love when you know how toprepare them.
So take this one and run withit.
Try it and see what you think.
But when you use lentils, makethem black or French lentils,
not the orange ones or the redones.
Those are those will cook up tomush and they're not even going

(13:40):
to give you any kind of texturethat's going to remotely
resemble something like beef.
So you can take those lentilsand you can simmer them with
spices like chili, cumin,garlic, onion powder, and
oregano for tacos that really dohit the spot.
And by all means, don't forgetthe toppings.
One of my favorite swaps isusing fresh mashed avocado

(14:01):
instead of sour cream.
Mash it up very smoothly.
You're not going to believe howamazing it tastes.
It's one of those swaps that canmake all the difference for an
ex-dairy lover when it comes toeating Mexican food.

This step is all aboutstewarding your time wisely
because what I know is this ifit takes me a long time, I am
not going to stick with it.
One way to save massive amountsof time is to batch cook.

Now I promise this is going tosave you tons of time.
Think of this like your batchingcontent.
And one simple way to do this isto cook beans or grains just
once for the entire week.
It's actually going to be somuch faster for you than
ordering takeout and way moreenergizing too.
And maybe you're thinking,Anita, I don't like to eat the
same thing over and over againthe week.

(15:47):
Well, guess what?
The batch content of your foodis still going to help you
because you can take thosethings and freeze them for
later.
So if you make more when you'realready making it anyway, it's
going to save you so much time,you're not going to believe it.
And last but certainly not leastis making healthy eating simple.
One way to do this is to keepyour running favorites list.

(16:10):
So as you discover your newwhole food plant-based favorites
to replace your old meals, andthis is critical to do if you
want lasting results.
Write each and every one ofthose new favorites down.
Keep a running list of them.
Just trust me, do it.
Maybe you've been listening fora while and you've heard me talk
about this before, but are youdoing it?

If not, today is the perfect dayto start.
You are not going to believe howmuch brain fatigue and time this
is going to save you as you go.
And it doesn't matter whereyou're keeping the list, Apple
Notes or a notebook, whateverworks for you, this one thing is
going to simplify your life likeyou will not believe if you take
action on it.
