Join us in this episode as we chat with Ed Hajim, a Wall Street executive who rose from adversity to create a life of resilience and adaptability. Ed grew up in and out of foster care with little guidance or support system, yet he succeeded beyond his wildest dreams. Hear Ed's inspiring story on how he rose above his circumstances to achieve the American Dream.
A recipient of the Horatio Alger Award, founder of the award-winning Nantucket Golf Club and the largest single donor to the University of Rochester, Ed Hajim recounts in his memoir, "ON THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED: An Unlikely Journey from the Orphanage to the Boardroom," how his father kidnapped him at age 3, drove him cross country and away from his mother, and told Ed that his mother was dead! Shortly after, his dad abandoned him, and Ed grew-up in orphanages and in foster homes with no mother, no father and no consistent support system.
