Get ready for the political sensation with super host and
news breaker Preston Olsen. Ladies and gentlemen, ladies and
gentlemen, welcome to Preston Super Show.
This is the 92nd installment of the Super News and there are
over 500 episodes of Preston Super Show.
(00:37):
Listen wherever you like news today Is the government's back
open. Not much else going on.
I don't think much is going to happen.
Like all of a sudden the government's back open.
All of our dreams come true. If the Supreme Court knocks down
(01:00):
Trump's tariffs, that stimulus check is going to be a distant
memory, sadly, and the only thing Trump will be able to say
is, sorry, I wanted to give you a stimulus, but the Supreme
Court doesn't like my tariffs. So not going to be able to do
(01:20):
that. As a matter of fact, you owe
$2000 now. That is what we're looking at.
They're dragging their feet withthis case.
Look how every other case that hits the Supreme Courts like
boom, in and out dawn. And you look over here and
you're like, wow, what a joke. What a joke.
(01:46):
Then you see Senator John Fetterman, they're saying he was
handed a cup of coffee by HakeemJeffries.
He later on had a fall near his home.
I don't think the two are related, but that's what the
rumor is. You know, there's always a rumor
(02:06):
when someone gets hurt. God bless Senator John Fetterman
out of Pennsylvania. He seems to be making a full
recovery. And that's very sad to hear
because just today I'm hearing Senator Kennedy speak about John
Fetterman's health and saying his health was improving.
(02:28):
His health has gotten a lot better and he has a flare up
like this, so God bless him and Godspeed on his recovery.
Amen. Now we're looking at an
interesting situation here. They're trying to pass this
(02:49):
little news blurb off and it's abunch of junk because all it
says is that the government being shut down caused economic
damage, hurt the economy, and wejust won't recover for months.
It will take months to undo thisdamage that was done by the
(03:14):
shutdown. That has nothing to do with the
private sector. So I pushed back on that.
That has nothing to do with the private sector.
Oh, some people couldn't fly. They got some flights canceled.
That did damage to the economy. That's undoable.
The people that went without payare receiving full back pay.
(03:37):
Everything has been reinstated. And not only that, they've
changed the rules a little bit on the shutdown moving forward.
But everybody's going to be paidby Saturday.
And the economy is not struggling because the
government was shut down for 43 days.
(03:57):
That's not why the economy is struggling.
The economy is struggling simplybecause when they passed the big
beautiful bill, they kept the tax rates and tax cuts the same
from those 2017 tax cuts. They kept those the same so that
(04:20):
the businesses that are hanging on by a thread can't continue on
at their condensed size. And the bigger businesses can
trim off what they need to trim off.
Look at Wendy's and some of these other corporations
trimming these jobs, trimming off of the fat.
(04:41):
To them, the big CEOs and the big corporate offices.
And what's interesting to me is the highest paid are usually the
first to be let go. So it seems to me we have some
stubborn people in these corporate offices, and that's
(05:04):
damaging the bottom line. It's also damaging hiring and
hiring practice itself. Now, we'll also add something
very important here now that thegovernment shutdown is over,
that we have not received a billsince the big, beautiful bill
(05:28):
that's done anything to benefit anyone.
Everything's come from the executive branch.
That's why the tariffs were so important, because we have to
wait for the House and then the Senate to gather up the money
and play ball before they pass abill while the people continue
(05:52):
to say what's going on with our government.
They put these little rules in place like the filibuster.
All of a sudden, they love the rule.
They love this law. Oh, wow, we love the filibuster.
Oh, would you look at that? Not so long ago, we're all on
the record saying get rid of it.Now we need it.
(06:12):
Would you look at that? Wow, how the pendulum has swung
and it's not one side or the other.
It's both sides screwing the American people.
Something has to give. Here we have the FBI that's
looking for the whistleblower. Here's the FBI.
They're looking for the whistleblower.
Who is it? Who did it?
(06:35):
Who put their hands, Who put their hands in this cookie jar
and they can't figure it out? The FBI, you have an independent
agency stacked upon an independent agency, and it
continues to stack until the courts are full of radical
judges. Not only that, you can't even
(06:57):
look to the simple institutions that make democracy work and
function because they're so obsessed with rules and propping
up new committees. Oh, we need or we need another
committee for that. Yeah.
Well, that's great. But first, let's run it by this
committee. Yeah.
And these, you know, 1314 peoplewill decide if that's good.
(07:22):
And then we'll get, you know, another 20 people to look at it.
And then by that time, we're so burned out on it, we're not even
going to pass the damn thing. And that's exactly what happens.
Marjorie Taylor Green, 3 great bills she puts up.
None of them have reached the Senate.
None of them are in the Senate. Well, she didn't consult with us
(07:43):
about. Well, what is going on here?
We have to wait and hold our little paper up.
Would you look at this, Mr. Senator?
No, that's not how it goes. The Congress passes the bills,
then the Senate is supposed to take them up, put them for a
vote, debate them. Oh, we got a filibuster.
We're going to need 60 votes forthat.
(08:05):
Oh, well, for this one, we're going to need a simple majority.
We're going to need 53 votes forthat.
The next bill, Oh, what's that? Oh, well, you know, I think the
number for this one should be 55votes.
I think we need 55 votes for that.
And it's just a game that continues to be a game where
nobody wins. And we all fight over who's not
(08:28):
winning the game. We're all fighting over who's
not winning the game Here. It's the American people that
aren't winning. The jobs closing up shop, moving
out. We're out of here.
Tax cuts aren't good enough. If they were good enough, the
economy would be stimulated. It would be booming.
But they're trying to tie the government shutdown into why the
(08:51):
economy is not doing well. That has nothing to do with it.
The stock market is artificiallypumped up.
In my opinion, it's absolutely artificially pumped up.
In the bottom is getting a call. Please God, let the Supreme
(09:12):
Court save Trump's tariffs because if not, the American
people are about to get royally screwed and the rest of the
world is really screwing themselves.
These countries could be advancing, they could be taking
off. They could be like, we don't
care what happened 10 years ago.Let's just work together.
(09:33):
No got to hold a grudge. That's exactly where our
government is. They want you to hold a grudge.
Something happened 25 years ago,35 years ago.
We need you to hold a grudge about that and not make any
deals and just let it crumble down, you know, and that's just
(09:55):
not the way it's supposed to go.I have faith in President Trump,
but the people around him in most cases are giving him bad
advice, terrible advice. We're going to bring the price
of energy down. We're going to bring the gas
down. We're going to bring the eggs
down. Nothing's coming down to dollar
(10:16):
gas. When they said that, I said, you
know what? Where's the remote?
I'm not watching this anymore. There's no $2.00 gas, dude.
Maybe in that town in Alabama, backwoods where they have one
pump and someone comes out and pumps your gas still.
But that ain't happening here, son.
(10:36):
Ain't no $2.00 gas in Illinois. I just had to change the
channel. If I don't like it, I'm changing
the channel. On that Channel change.
Set your dials at 6:30 PM Troy Trojans are taking on the Old
Dominion Monarchs in college football.
(10:58):
What's happened here? Old Dominion has a football team
now. This was always a basketball
school. 6:30 PM. Taking the ball off Thursday
night college football. Total set of 52 1/2.
Both of these teams have clinched a bowl berth.
(11:19):
They're both in. Troy is plus 10 1/2 at the
spread and plus 300 on the moneyline.
I really like the spread for Troy.
I do like the over 52 1/2. Both of these defenses are
(11:39):
spent. They really are.
Sadly, they really are. Look at this Old Dominion team.
They had a game against Marshallwhere Marshall put up 48 points
on them. The next week on the road, mind
you, they get 63 points dropped on them by JMU James Madison.
(12:03):
Dookies come in there and put up63 points on them.
That defense is completely spent.
They're coming off of a respite. But the week before that they
were on the road. They beat up on the UL Monroe
Warhawks, but Troy also beat up on the Warhawks and I don't see
(12:26):
them letting up here. I see this as a very offensive
minded game. Points will fall.
Full teams are already in a bowlgame.
Now it's trying to play for a better bowl.
Looking at the NFL for Thursday Night Football, because they
(12:47):
still want to keep that going. They still think they're going
to somehow give us a good game. When the New York Jets go to
play the New England Patriots, Iwon't be watching that.
It's not really worth watching. I might TuneIn for a little bit
just to see Drake May because he's pretty good.
(13:09):
But The Jets are a terrible team.
They're gutting their team. They're about to fire the coach,
probably after this game. If not, good luck, because
honestly, they just don't want to look racist at this point.
Fire a Blackhead coach. Total at 43 1/2.
Kick off, 7:15 PM. Your two and seven New York
(13:30):
Jets, your New York stinkies, both New York teams stink.
Then you get the New England Patriots, 8:00 and 2:00.
But they're not that good at home.
Three and two at home, playing some better competition than the
stinky Jets. Jets are plus 13 1/2 at the
(13:50):
spread and there is a possibility they cover that.
I will probably go with that. I think they need more points
though. Best bet is the Patriots to just
clean up completely clean up. They're going to have to
(14:10):
overcome a few things. Diggs is a little bit banked up.
He's going to play. But Austin Hooper, he's out with
a concussion. But on the other side, The Jets
don't have anything. I mean, it's really just a one
man show with Bruce Hall and he hasn't done much this year.
(14:33):
So I expect the Patriots to kindof pound the Rock a lot.
It's a slow game. I think it goes over think a few
flags help this game go over 43 1/2.
Watch it on Prime Video. If you're bored because you
really have to be bored to like want to watch this game, then we
(14:55):
can move on to the NBA where youhave a three-game slate in the
NBA is a lot of fun this year. Raptors versus Cavaliers at 6:00
PM, the Pacers play the Suns at 8:00 PM, and the Hawks play the
Jazz at 8:00 PM as well. I will definitely pick a winner
(15:21):
for you in each of these games because I don't like to be
monotonous and going through, oh, here's the total, here's the
spread, let's pick a winner here.
Let's have some fun 1st. I'm going to start with that
8:00 PM game because right away I'm going to tell you the Suns
will clean up. They'll knock the Pacers right
on their ass. Pacers are one and 10.
(15:43):
They haven't won a road game. They stink, they've been
exposed. They're frauds.
The Suns aren't that good, but they're five and one at home.
Suns win cover the -4 1/2 at thespread total goes under 231 1/2.
The Pacers suck. They do They're bad.
(16:03):
There's no denying they suck. There's no denying that Raptors
versus the Cavaliers is a lot tougher.
The Raptors are six and five. They're decent on the road.
They're really not that good on the road.
They're four and three on the road.
That's pretty crappy. Cavaliers are 8 and four
overall, Four and one at home. I like the Raptors.
(16:24):
Plus 7 1/2 at the spread. Cavaliers win at home.
They're really good -7 1/2 they won't cover, total goes under
238, 1/2. These totals are a little bit
too odd outside looking in now, the Cavaliers kind of fall in
the trap of playing to their opponent and not playing their
(16:50):
own game. That's where you get a total to
go over. But I don't think they want
that. I think they just want to crush
it tonight, get out of there andhave a good night.
The final game for the NBA I'm going to speak of, we're looking
at the Atlanta Hawks versus the Utah Jazz.
And the Hawks are a complete team this year.
(17:13):
They're 7:00 and 5:00. They have a lot of work to do,
but they have all of the moving parts that can kind of fit, plug
and play in all these different positions.
And then there's the Utah Jazz, who are an explosive team, not
that great, but this is a good game.
(17:33):
Total of 233 1/2. It goes under, Jazz win it, they
pull it out, they cover the plus2 1/2 at the spread.
I'm going to look at hockey. There's a big slate tonight for
hockey and I know there's a lot of hockey fans out there.
We have 10 games tonight. You know me, if I don't see my
(17:54):
Blackhawks, I'm talking about the teams I want to talk about
starting with the Dallas Stars. Another tough game on the road
here, but I think I have the Stars figured out.
They're going to pull up in thisgame playing the Montreal
Canadiens. Watch it on ESPN.
(18:14):
Plus total at 5 1/2. Dallas is the plus 100 money
line. Underdog.
It's even money. And plus 1 1/2 on the puck line.
I'll tell you what I love. I love Montreal To win this game
flat out -120 they're going to pull it off.
(18:38):
Dallas will not cover the spread, sadly.
Total goes over. I like over 5 1/2.
That makes sense for the speed of this game and the way the
goaltending is done. I really feel good about that.
But yes, Montreal flat out wins that game tonight.
(19:00):
That's at 6:00 PM. Watch it on ESPN.
Plus, look at the Los Angeles Kings versus the Toronto Maple
Leafs. Toronto always has a good home
setup, but they are really banged up.
(19:23):
You know, they come in this gamejust so hurt.
They got all different types of people out.
Total at 5 1/2 Las -135 on the money line.
I like Toronto to cover that spread, but it won't matter.
Total goes under. LA wins that game.
(19:46):
Hockey is always fun to talk about in the essence of time.
I'm not going to speak about every game here, but I will
speak about one more that I really want to see, and that's
an 8:00 PM game between two teams that I really like.
I actually like these teams. They're kind of alternate teams
(20:09):
to my Blackhawks. We have the Buffalo Sabres
versus Colorado Avalanche, but Ilove Colorado when they're at
home. When they're at home, I'm like,
Yep, they're going to do it. They're going to win.
Total at 6 1/2, it's going to goover.
For some reason it feels like their home ice is like smaller
(20:32):
or it's like, I don't know, theydid something to make it feel
that way. So it feels like always a lot of
goals are going to be school. Then you have Buffalo plus 290
on the money line. If you think there's value
there, that's up to you. I don't.
I really like what Colorado has.I think personally my best bet
(20:54):
is -1 1/2 on the puck line for Colorado.
I love both teams, but going to roll with that for tonight.
Ladies and gentlemen, just like the hands of time, I'm turning
it over to you. Good night and God bless.
Psalm 37, four KJV. Make sure to read my news story.
(21:18):
Odd jobs number two. Save our soup, Classic Lam and
the ginormous mudslide. Thanks for listening and God
bless you.
