This week we have NEW Rock and Roll music that DESERVES to be heard from L.A. Guns, The Dead Daisies, Roy Cathey & The Fifth, Dark Chapel, The Cold Stares, and Phil X & The Drills.
We also pay tribute to an outstanding musician we lost this past week, Rick Derringer. Rick was an amazing singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer. At the age of 17, he scored his first number one hit with his band The McCoys. From there he went on to work with Johnny Winter as a guitarist and producer, then Edgar Winter in the same two roles, solo records, and a lot of guest appearances on many albums. Today we feature a variety of the music Rick has left for us, and we are joined by another amazing musician, Mitch Perry, who was in Edgar Winter's band for a number of years and got to know Rick on a personal level and play alongside him. Whether you are familiar with Rick's work, or are hearing it for the very first time, you will find much to love from his vast catalogue of music. Thanks to Mitch Perry for joining us, and thanks to Rick Derringer for 60 years of Rock and Roll music that DESERVES to be heard!
