Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Jonathan and Kelly Show.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Jonathan Rush downgrade the US A notch to AA one
that could raise the government's cost of borrowing. Kelly Nash
the enthusiasm in Saudi Arabia and Qatar in the United
Arab Emirates that they want to push more and more.
They have funds here. And if we go back to
your initial question on the Moody's downgrade, who cares?

Speaker 1 (00:26):
The Jonathan and Kelly Show.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
And that's the way we started off the week with
the supposed awful news of the Moody's downgrade. Oh my god,
the market will tank.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
I do like Scott Besson's very flippant love who cares?

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Who cares? Everybody knows that the Moodies is a lacking
indicator anyway. So we're talking about the Joe Biden administration.
I know you don't want to look back, but you
could well because that's what the that's what Moodies is.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
And as he pointed out, it doesn't matter what they
say the rankings are if you've got people or more importantly,
nations trying to invest with you.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Now, yeah, I mean they're flying checks here. Bro. There's
one of the reasons why we need the bigger air
force one. They're gonna fit those checks. They got the
McMahon size checks they're bringing over here for all the investments.
All right, we'll get into more of that coming up
in swamp Talk.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Wow, oh wow, oh wow.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Nancy Mace. You know we thought that at one point,
what's her name, Aaron Katie Arrington was the crazy Eyes
would be representative of District one. Turns out it's Nancy Mace.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
Well, and when you look at the testimony that the
guy gave this week, and we'll break that down, I'm
more surprised by the response from the Mace camp. And
maybe after we record this on Friday morning, perhaps there'll
be more because the response they gave late Thursday into
Friday morning is shocking.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
All Right, we've got to deal with that coming up
in segment four, and maybe we look we record this
on Friday morning for Saturday broadcast, maybe we'll have another statement,
somebody will try to make a better maybe from the
Nancy Mace office. I'd be coming up here later on. Hey,
we've got a couple of things going on statewide, and
though it's happened in county by county, but we've been
hearing about counties implementing development fees. Some people are pushing back.

(02:12):
Those will be the developers of the new developments.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
I think if you're a local person, you love it.

Speaker 2 (02:18):
I'm not so sold yet. We'll have to wait and
see pluck. But we begin with a much additive version
of a conversation, as we had a visit this week
just before the vote of the House for the Big
Beautiful Bill from one of our congressmen, Joe Wilson, the
big issue that you and I spoken about before was
and I'm surprised this had not been hashed out prior

(02:39):
the salt issue, the state and local taxation issue. You
knew you had to negotiate a cap on this.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
The agreements that have been reached are the best that
we can get. To me, and politics as are the possible.
I would like things to be just fantastic. Actually, the
overall bill, the Great Beautiful Bill, is overall fantastic. But
in between I was concerned about the salt issue, which
is really a way for the rest of the country
to pay local taxes in the northeast of billionaires. And

(03:09):
then the next thing is that I disagreed with the
inflation Reduction Act provisions for the Green Scam. Inflation Reduction
Act had nothing to do with inflation. It was a
total fraud of the American people to provide for a
green new scam to pay off Democrat contributors around the world.
And also the ultimate goal of the Green new scam
was to make America dependent on Chinese batteries. That was

(03:31):
the goal, and to sabotage the energy capability of the
United States. And the great thing is that in one
hundred days, Donald Trump has done the miracle. He reverse
everything I just told you.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
The most important thing I think a lot of Americans
look at is we need to extend those tax cuts
otherwise it's like a sixty percent tax hike on a
lot of Americans. That's why it's such a big, beautiful bill.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
To hear the talking heads on MSNBC and CNN, NABCCBS.
You watched the six thirty news what they call the
news for twenty two minutes, Good luck for you trying
to figure out what's going on in the world. One
of the things I always point to is the much
divided Republican Party, when in fact, if you take people
like Chip Roy, Ralph Norman, sometimes Joe Wilson. You've got
a differentation of people that are willing to stand up

(04:12):
and fight where they believe in. I'm all about guys
getting in there and fighting it out because that's how
you get the best bill possible.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
But they have divisions in the party, but they're not catastrophic.
And the other political party, good gush, they've got admitted
socialists leading their party.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Well that's what I was going to contrast it to
the Democrats. You don't hear about these kinds of debates
because they all fall in line behind who is the
pecking order set up at the time until a loes
your pecker or b. The pecking order then falls apart
because they in fact do divide themselves and kick people
out of the party.

Speaker 4 (04:48):
And the good news is that thanks to talk radio,
and I just am not saying it because I'm in
the studio at bottom line, talk radio is an alternative voice.
I have never seen.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
The American media is.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
So defamed in my life, and that by covering up
the inability of Joe Biden to be President of the
United States, they covered it up. It's one thing for
Democrats to cover it up. Okay, they're protecting their party,
but for the American media, who should be watchdogs for
freedom and liberty in our country, they covered it up
with equal enthusiasm. And then actually I worked with doctor

(05:21):
Ronnie Jackson, who was the former White House physician serving
in Congress. Every cycle we would introduce legislation. I was
one of his first co sponsors to require for people
in public office to have minial acuity tests.

Speaker 2 (05:33):
We did this in.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
A positive way. And I don't hate Joe Biden. I
feel sorry for Joe Biden. But we're in a world
of Trump derangement, and that is we have media just
will make up any story. They made up Russia Gate,
then they fabricated now that Joe Biden was capable of
serving as president. And then we have a further corruption
in our government. And with Jim Comy coming forward calling

(05:56):
former head of FBI, he knew he was calling for
the assassination of Donald Trump. He knew there'd been two
assassination attempts and probably many more we don't know about.
So what a world we're in of Trump derangement and hatred.
But the good news is, and I give a lot
of credit to get to talk radio, the American people
know better. The last week I was at the Poultry
Festival parade. People are very supportive of Donald Trump, and

(06:19):
they understand, golly, last week, could you make this up?
That he would go country to country picking up a
trillion dollars here and a trillion dollars there to bring
back to create jobs in the United States. This has
never occurred in American history. And then I particularly appreciate
I've been working with Free Syria for years and I'm
really grateful that he is going to lift the sanctions
on the country of Syria and we have a real

(06:40):
potential of turning a dictatorship which in collaboration with war
criminal Putin and Iran to destroy Israel. Now we can
have a country that could be working for stability in
the Middle East, all because of Donald Trump.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
Well, boy, you crank up, Joe Wilson. He'll go through
every item right there. That's amazing. But let me bring
you back to what you started with. They knew not
only when they were trying to push him to be
the president in twenty twenty four, they knew in twenty
nineteen that he had cancer. They're talking about they've known
this for ten years that Joe Biden had cancer. So

(07:14):
if ten years ago they knew he had cancer and
they covered it up. Obviously, the mental acuity thing has
been an issue at least since the twenty nineteen twenty
they were replaying clips of Laura Trump and how she
got mocked for saying that he couldn't finish sentences and
all that sort of stuff. So they've covered it up.
They've made him the candidate specifically, in my opinion, because

(07:35):
he was a puppet. He would do whatever the Democrat
machine wanted him to do, unlike Bernie Sanders, who liberal, socialist,
all of those things, but not controllable. He was controllable.
Now that we know this about him and what they knew,
will there be investigations from Congress? Can you get that started?

Speaker 4 (07:53):
And indeed, Kelly, you're right every point that you made.
We know Bernie Sanders was the full kook, but sadly,
Joe Biden, he was a puppet. I've been in the meantime.
I'm grateful that Chairman and Jim Comey will be looking
in to every issue that you mentioned. I'm just so
confident that we've got good leadership with Speaker of Mike
Johnson and Jim Jordan chairman the Judiciary Committee. Again, they

(08:15):
don't hate and we don't hate Joe Biden, but we
do know that our country was at risk and there
were people who concealed it. Last week, I had a
really remarkable opportunity, and that is I had the opportunity
to meet with Cash Bettel, the head of FBI.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
So we've got a lady named and I don't even
know if you've ever met her, Lamonica McIver. She's a
New Jersey Democrat. She is on film or video at
least shoving an ICE agent. But she's also joined by
I'm sure you've met Bonnie Watson Coleman and gold Bar
Bob Menendez's kid, Robert Menendez Junior. Those two also were

(08:50):
involved at that ICE detention center. We've all seen how
they circled the New Jersey mayor and then told the
ICE agents they couldn't arrest them even though he was
being arrested. Should they at very minimum? I know they've
had a House introduction on a censure on those three.
Do you support a center of these three?

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Absolutely?

Speaker 4 (09:08):
And what they were doing is actually assaulting the ICE
detention facility to liberate One of the three was a murderer.
Can you imagine the Democrat parties standing up for murderers
to bring the murderer back out on the street. Actually,
people who are Democrats should understand he would very likely
go to a Democrat neighborhood and murder a Democrat, not
a Republican. But aside from that, I can tell you

(09:28):
trying to lead into the Tim Waltz a speech this
week because he's coming to speak in South Carolina, and
we know that over the weekend at the University of
Minnesota graduation at the law school that he explained that
the ICE agents and the FBI agents are Gestapo. The
how sick is that a commencement address is not supposed

(09:49):
to be political. But I know that people must be
lining up for the dinner of this coming.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
Weekend happy hands with Tim Watson.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
I knew you would want to try to do it.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
Through my happy hands impression of Tim Walls.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
But an unpaid advertisement for the Democratic Party for their
gener because people want to they want to line up
and hear about the American government being equivalent to Nazi Germany. No,
this is Trump arrangement.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Would you be concerned that Donald Trump accepted a four
hundred million dollar jet. Had he not gotten the billions
in orders? Or is it okay? Is it we're just
looking the other way because of that, or is it
something like Donald Trump says that it's not actually a
gift to him.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Well, bottom line, it's a gift to the American government.
And somebody pointed out to me, Hey, you've heard the
Statue of Liberty from the French people.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
We still don't know if that's a trojan horse push
back and say the Congress of the Police go ahead.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
They've pointed out that Congress did vote to approve the
Statue of Liberty. Should the Congress vote to approve the
four hundred million dollar jet to be the new Air
Force one.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
I certainly vote for it. And we have to put
in mind that the new Air Force one has been
under the instruction for about ten years and won't be
available to twenty twenty nine.

Speaker 3 (11:03):
Did Cutter know that when they were ordering from Boeing
that we're still waiting ten years on a jet from think.

Speaker 2 (11:07):
So I know that this will come to no surprise
to you, because I don't know if you actually get
a copy, maybe from some Democrat friends in the House
who sent you the talking points of the day. But
I have discerned concretely, if you miss out on the
email from the Democrats, whoever's running the party, Susan Weis's Valerie, Jared,
whoever's running it, all you got to do is listen
to the first five minutes of Morning Joe and Jonathan.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
We were counting on a fair assessment of Donald Trump.
And we know in the last his first term, ninety
three percent of the media coverage was negative. It's now
moved to ninety six percent. But if somebody you really
want to see as a victim, as the Actuary of Defense,
Pete Hegseth, it has been determined that one hundred percent

(11:51):
of coverage of his service. The bottom line is talk
radio makes a difference. Y'all keep it up, and I
just appreciate Right's thoughts and what a difference you make.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
All right, now, again, we had to edit that interview.
I'm sorry, Congressman. We only edit it because of the
time restraints of this program, because I know always listening
right now.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
But if you go back to was it Monday's podcast,
you can hear the entire thing. Just look for that
rash thought podcast. And I don't know, sometimes people ask me, well,
how do I find it? And I say on the
iHeart Radio app, and they say how do I find that?
It's so easy wherever your it could be on your tablet,
could be on your phone. Just go to your place
where you download apps and put in iHeartRadio. It's free.

(12:30):
And then once you have that app, then you just
look for rash thought and you'll see I think we
have a megaphone right now as our logo.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
And we actually have a brand new iHeartRadio app. You
can set us as a preset, just like you would
in your car.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
Yeah, oh yeah, that's what they're doing with the podcast
or your favorite channels. You can just put like us
as a preset. So next time you sign on to
the iHeart Radio app, there it is. You'll have the
latest episodes and you can just boom space. Because what
do we go about twenty to thirty minutes a day
with the podcast, So give us a half hour, we
give you the world.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Now. South Carolina has been going through some growing pains.
We just introduced the new pain here. County by county,
Charleston County is all in Lexton Counties thinking about a
development fee. We'll explain it next.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
The Jonathan and Kelly Show. Jonathan Rush with.

Speaker 5 (13:15):
Medicaid waste, frog and abuse. We have illegal aliens that
are getting medicaid. I don't think anybody minds that we.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Cut that, Kelly Nash. The Democrats, on.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
The other hand, are going to destroy it because they're
going to leave these people on We're not changing Medicaid,
and we're not changing Medicare, and why not changing Social Security?

Speaker 6 (13:34):
The Jonathan and Kelly showoc man, he continues to reiterate
to the American people, we're not cutting Medicaid, but he
also continues to preach to the Republicans, don't cut Medicaid.

Speaker 2 (13:49):
So as this continues to play out, and the argument
of the state, the state, how the funds are going
to be distributed, what happens when he gets to your state, YadA, YadA,
We get all that.

Speaker 3 (13:58):
Well, I think it's a word game that the Democrats
are playing. Are you not trying to spend less money
on Medicaid? Yes, we are, Well, then that's a cut,
but it's not a cut in services to the people
who receive Medicaid unless they're an illegal alien or an
able bodied American who's been scamming the system. And so yes,

(14:19):
we're going to save billions of dollars, but the people
who are supposed to be getting it you're going to
continue to receive, might even receive more moving forward.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Look, Senator Van Holland can't fly down to Venezuela and
hand the check over everyone. Come on, Kelly, that's just
to make sure we greased the skids here. Hey, hello
South Carolina. This is Jonathan Russell's Kelly Nash. Thanks for
being here. This is recorded on Friday for Saturday broadcast.
And the other day we got the news in the
development from Well. This article came for the Post and

(14:49):
Curer Charleston countad. They considered development impact fees, and you've
heard about development impact fees here in the midlands. Lexington
County put one on the table up in January. I
think it's still been table. Maybe it's being studied. They're
not sure. But the point is that a lot of
development going on in the state of South Carolina. We
got a lot of growing pains around here, and I
get it that we need to have money fronted because

(15:10):
there is a lot of expense for counties when you
start talking about roads, and then you got a water system,
and then you got other facilities that have to be development,
and then they're just the roads leading in and out.
I mean, look, for Pete's sake, all over the state.
You can't get down Forest Drive in downtown Columbia or
in Forest Acres. You can't get down Forest Drive anymore
between two thirty and four thirty because of all of

(15:32):
the development going on and a lot of times the
infrastructure needs to be fixed before you can even get
the development up and run it well.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
And what we've done in the past is you, as
a builder, you have to pay for those roads that
you're putting in. Okay, that's a given. If you're building
a new development, you got to build the roads that
go in there, and you got to put in the sewage,
and you got to do all that sort of stuff. However,
as Jonathan's alluding to, there's other roads that are suddenly impacted.

(16:00):
An you've got a whole new housing development over here,
we got another thousand cars that need to do use
that road. It's of course that road's going to break
down quicker, probably needs to be widened, might need new
traffic lights. And so what they've been doing is raising
taxes on people. Everybody's paying extra money because of these developments,
and that's not the way it should work. I love

(16:22):
this idea of a development fee where, for example, in
Mount Pleasant where they passed one, it's like nine thousand
dollars a house, where that you've got to pay extra
as the developer you want to build one. Okay, here
it is they're trying to slow growth as much as
possible in Mount Pleasant. Other areas of the state they
already have some development fees and they're like maybe two

(16:43):
or three thousand dollars a house, So it's okay, it's
still affordable. We're not necessarily trying to stop it, but
we want to make sure that we have And then
there's other places I think that right now there's no
development fees and possibly regretting that because some of the
people who've been living there for years are getting priced
out of being able to stay there as their county
or district taxes go up.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
And you're right, the developers do pick up the cost
of building the roads and putting in some of the infrastructure.
But let's say you're gonna put it in a five
hundred home sub division, Well, you know that water is
going to come from the existing water supply system, so
now we've got to upgrade that. And we've always talked
about how once you get new people into a county.
We've been frustrated with county taxes going up because they're saying, well,

(17:25):
we've got all these people moving here. Well, those those
people are paying taxes now, so we should be able
to sustain the budget based on the residency. Although it
is growing, and I get it, you have to upfront
or get a lot of upfront cost with this for
each of these developments or depending on the amount of
development you have going on, not just singling out one
subdivision or one new business, because the same will apply

(17:47):
even for hotels and the like. You're going to have
development fees. But you know where I know, I know
they got a prescription for this pain. It's called the
development fee. My concern is is that prescription is not
going to because how many times are we going back
now in the aftermath of it all, we're like, well,
wait a minute, we collected all the development fee money.
Where did all that go? They put it in a pot?

(18:09):
And then you look back at your county council and
maybe because I don't live in Charleston, I don't live
with the frustration I live in Richland County, a lot
of frustration on how we continue to spend money in
Richland County and where did all that money go.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Well, you know, you can only take people at their
at face value, and so if you're upset with Richland
County Council, then you have to somehow figure out a
way to get rid of the current county council members.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
You have to.

Speaker 3 (18:35):
You know, the people in Richland County, though, are very
liberal and they like the way their county is being run.
I don't like how it's being run, and I live here,
but I haven't figured out a way to convince other
people Lexington County wouldn't tolerate the way Richland County is
being run.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
They're not tolerating it. That's one of the reasons why
I put a moratorium on development for a while.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
Yeah, but the idea of a development fee, if you so,
if the house that was going to call us three
hundred and forty thousand dollars in the future costs three
hundred and fifty eight thousand dollars because you've got to have
an eighteen thousand dollars fee added on. That slows the
growth in the county. And then it also gives the
county the money they need so they don't have to
raise taxes on people. I I if now if the

(19:16):
county Council misspends the money, that's you know, that's something
that you deal with moving down the road. If you
just say I don't trust government ever with money ever,
well then don't give them any more money. I guess
I don't know what to say.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Well, it's unrelated article. You got Charleston County's last tax,
transportation tax failed, So now they're hiring Charleston County Council
is now hiring a third party marketing agency. Well, if
they're going to study it first to find out why
people didn't vote for an increase in their taxes, do
we really need to study this long to figure out why?

(19:49):
And now we're going to make sure that we hire
what will be basically a marketing company to help the
residents understand why you should vote for it. We're going
to spend money to help you understand why you should
spend money in Charleston County.

Speaker 3 (20:01):
Well, there's the answer is in the story, isn't it.
I don't have it in front of me. But if
I remember right, there was one guy who said, after
talking to my constituents, they don't trust us after the
last penny raise because they did a penny raise like
like eight years ago or whatever and apparently did not
deliver on whatever it was.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Now.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
I don't know if it's the same group of people
that were the legislators then are still now. It seems
like if that is the case, then they should be
voting those people out that we don't trust you. If
the answer is we don't trust you, then we have
a problem with County council. If the problem is we
don't like the idea of well, we already talked about
the Mark Clark extension down there. They don't like that idea.

(20:41):
The residents don't want it, and they've been fighting for that,
the people in power for twenty five years. It's finally died.
They're not going to bring that one back. But they
certainly want more bike paths, they want more parks, they
want more whatever it is that they're looking for, and
the residents are like, maybe maybe not. So if the
answers maybe maybe not, why would I pay an extra

(21:01):
you know, one percent of my earnings to y'all.

Speaker 2 (21:07):
I'm just thinking of all the Charleston County residents right now,
if County Council and they're gonna do everything you can
to get that expressway. If they get that extension, I
hope that the biggest boycott ever is I refuse to
drive across it. We're not gonna use it.

Speaker 3 (21:24):
Yeah, I wouldn't. I think it's dead now. So that's
the good news. They finally killed the Mark Clark.

Speaker 2 (21:28):
All right, Well, we do have some growing pains to
go through South Carolina, and somebody's gotta pay for it.
We're gonna well, we'll see how that continues to play out.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
You should love it. As a Southerner. You make the
Northerners pay for it when they move down here. You
want to live here? The best cast you an extra
twenty grand, that's all.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
You gotta show your ID? Are you coming from Jersey?

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Oh boy?

Speaker 2 (21:47):
Did we have an extra Welcome to South Carolina tax
for you? All right, we're gonna get to the swamp talking. Then,
what in the hell is going on with Nancy Mays professionally? Personally?
What's happened? I say professionally because more politicians are professionals.

Speaker 3 (22:01):
As we as we look at this story right now.
It still has not been updated. The response from her
team to the testimony that was given Thursday under oath
is unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Go it up.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
The Jonathan and Kelly Show. Jonathan Rush, the yaser two
hundred and fifteen, the nayser two hundred and fourteen, with
one answering present, Kelly Nash.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
The bill is passed.

Speaker 6 (22:26):
Jonathan and Kelly show, woc oh.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
I think House members are still young and they have
to pull a couple of all nighters to get it,
but they got it. The big beautiful bill moves to
the Senate.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
That'll be interesting because the Senate, you know, you're already
getting the telltale signs we're not interested in doing what
the House did, So I don't know how how they're
gonna wiggle with this. By the way, did you see
the two House members who missed it because they slept?
Two guys fell asleep and missed the vote. So we

(23:04):
passed at two fifteen two fourteen. So apparently in both
of those guys, according to Mike Johnson that slept through
the vote, they were going to vote for it. So
I guess we have room for three. We have three wiggles,
But like you know, when they're talking about in the Senate,
we're not doing it. We're taking away all that salt stuff. Yeah,
you're definitely losing the guy from New York on that one.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Then that would be Lawler. And he went on his
tirade that I got very upset about the other day.
I won't get as loud this time when I describe
again that I think the man's a total idiot. When
he even tries to describe on Fox News the other
day that he refuses to turn his back on his
constituency because they do live in a blue state where
they have to pay higher taxes for property and the like,

(23:48):
and they get crushed by their taxes, while he explains
he can't vote for a bill that, if it fails,
will actually impose the largest tax increase in American history.
Are you're a constituent exempt of that, sir? How do
they avoid that tax? This thing gets to be out
of control with this damn salt tax. And I get it,

(24:08):
but you've got to do something to make sure the
blue states come back in line. You're never going to
get people to stand up and start screaming at their
local state governments until they get put in a position
where we can't even afford to live here anymore, which
is what I think a lot of them are screaming. Now,
we can't afford to live here anymore.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
Well, and it's you know, here's the reality of the situation,
and it's in politics. We had Joe Wilson on to
start the show as the art of the possible. It's
can you cannot get what you want? Just face that
going into any vote, you're not going to get in
that bill everything that you want. What can you get?
And for Mike Lawler, I don't know his district. I've

(24:47):
I mean I've been there. I know the area of
New York's Valley. Yeah, it's a nice area. Poughkeepsie's like
the center of it. And I've been to Poughkeepsie many times.
Not to brag, but anyway, he's in Poughkeepsie, and according him,
I know what I'm missing then, and I'll keep it
that way. Yeah, you're not missing Miss WSPK radio is
a good one up there. Anyway, he's saying that the

(25:08):
Republicans in that district and he's eked out a win.
I mean, I'm looking at the vote right now. He
got fifty one point two percent of the vote to
get in. So he ekes out a win in that
district and thank god we got another Republican in. He's
saying that the research that his people are finding out
is that is the most important issue to the guys

(25:30):
and gals who voted for him. Stand up, get us
this salt reduction for our taxes here and then we
can confirm that you are our guy. If he doesn't
fight for this and he bends over, then he ain't
coming back. And the Republicans need to get more people
into the tent, not lose this guy.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
In others, it is, it is a tricky little tap dance.
I got it. I tell you who wasn't tap dancer
this week. People like Marco Rubio who had to face
some of the Senate senators Van Holland, and he just
took our favorite senator as he representing Venezuela as well,
just the senator representing inmates in Venezuela was taken to

(26:12):
school by Rubio and the same thing happened a couple
of times the Irs. Liz Lawren drew the line, you're
never going to allow Donald Trump to weaponize federal agencies
in particular the irs. That has never happened, and it's
never going to happen unless you missed the allowed Donald Trump,
because you will go along with his whims as opposed
to following the lall. Liz Warren acts like we don't

(26:34):
have any idea in American history or just as far
back as Obama's administration.

Speaker 3 (26:41):
Well, it's look, the Democrats are throwing out a lot
of steam right now and they're just not getting many results.
I think Hakeem Jefferies is top of the pile here
is He threatened it's a red line if they were
to ever vote to sanction any of my members, and
they certainly are not going to press charges on any
of my members. And then you know he said that

(27:01):
was the red line. They kept asking him, what are
you gonna do. You'll find out, you'll find out, you'll
find out. Well, here we are. Lamonica mc ivers has
been charged. It's been days. What is his response been,
thumb up butt, that's his response. His thumb is firmly
up his butt. He ain't gonna do nothing. And they
keep threatening us like Van Holland is threatening, and they're
all coming up with these vague threats. Well, you're really

(27:23):
going to find out this time, there's nothing you can do.
As Donald Trump says, you don't hold the cards.

Speaker 2 (27:30):
Hakim lives in the moment, because we now know he's
not going to give you a glimpse into the future.
You'll find out he's not gonna and he's certainly damn
what don't want to look into the review mirror because
we're talking. We're not talking about well, it's behind us
with the Biden administration. No, I don't care how damn
meeting interviews. Jack Tapper gets on television to talk about
his new book with his whoever the other guy is

(27:51):
that wrote this book with.

Speaker 3 (27:52):
Him, guy from Axios.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Oh, I cannot believe that this guy. I can't believe it.
But I did not know that he was this that
he will come out and tell you that what you
didn't see was it true? And now we know it
to be true. But it's only because of his investigative
reporting that we know Biden was a puppet.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
Yeah, I mean, that book is one of the most
bizarre things of all time. The fact that he, Jake Tapper,
is part of the cover up. Jake Tapper is an
active participant. He knew full well, even before you and
I and anybody who had a television set could see
Joe Biden stumbling because he was there before, before Joe

(28:32):
Biden went on television. He spoke with Joe Biden. He
could have told you in twenty nineteen the guy's not
right in the head, but he didn't. He actively participated
in a cover up, and now he's exposing the cover
up for a huge profit.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
It's like, I, okay, never mind, we don't want to
go back to that anywhere. I know you've seen enough
interviews that make you want to pull your hair out.
This guy literally is the biggest liar on television. Congratulations
because that was That's a hard list to top. We
did learn another thing this week is once you are
a leader from another country, if you are a foreign president, premieer,

(29:07):
whatever your title is, the last place you want to
sit is in the hot seat just to the right
of Donald Trump inside the Oval office while we invite
the world in and certainly all the Washington press corps
with the pool camera, so we can get all this
conversation out before we even talk, you know, privately about
what we're going to get done with Our agendas are,

(29:28):
whether it has to do with the UK and the
Tarror deal, or in this case, without South Africa and
a lot of the oppression and the killing going on.
We're just going to put that up on the screen
for you. Dim the lights, bring on spopcorn.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
I love the New York Times headline on that story.
South Africa wanted to talk trade and Trump turned down
the lights. But you know, the guy from South Africa,
I don't remember his name, the president from South Africa.
It's a long name, but anyway, I think his first
name Sir Searle or something like that. Anyway this comes in,
he has to know. He did know that Trump was

(30:03):
ticked off. First off, just by accepting the white farmers
as refugees. That was a clear signal. On top of it,
Trump had been on social media talking about the fact,
partnering with Elon Musk, who's from South Africa. In their words,
it was a genocide was starting to take place or

(30:23):
had been taking place against white farmers in South Africa,
so much so that the guy actually he himself went
on social media to rebuff Donald Trump and Elon Musk
and say there is no genocide happening here. So he
knew it was a contentious thing to the Trump administration.
I don't know that he knew that Trump was going
to show him the videos, and then for him to
say he was surprised by the videos, I felt like,

(30:47):
this is kind of like the media when they were
surprised about Joe Biden. You saw it, and you were
there in real time. Brother, you saw it when we
saw it originally. This guy seen all these videos with
the white crosses lining up the highway and the people
leading the songs in the arenas and whatnot calling for
the death of white farmers. So I don't know why
he was surprised. He's like, oh, I hadn't seen this before. Yeah,

(31:08):
you had.

Speaker 2 (31:09):
He was tap dancing, much like our friend Comy when
he made he's making comedy appearances now. Because it was
just a photo his wife took. I didn't even take
that photo about eighty six forty seven.

Speaker 3 (31:23):
It felt like he was trying to blame her, like
you know, Adam blamed Eve. It was the woman.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
It wasn't me. It was the woman you gave me lord. Yeah.
And I even asked Sally about that because I made
a comment look at him blaming his wife, and Sally
says I don't know. I mean, if you did something
really stupid, would I take the blame for you if
it was gonna sell with your position? Maybe he doesn't
have a position. No, he doesn't. He's unemployed. Here's his position,
his retirement check, which I'm still hacked off about.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
Let let's be honest about the situation. James Comy has
a new book coming out in about four weeks. James
Comy has been a nothing burger for the last what
three years? He needed some attention. I wouldn't be surprised
if James Comey is the one who organized those shells
in that way, tweeted it, took a picture, tweeted it
out and said, let's see if I can get arrested.

(32:12):
Wouldn't it be great if I got arrested, book sales
will go through the roof.

Speaker 2 (32:15):
That is the race. Who's gonna get the mug shot
in the orange jumpsuit? Because they saw what happened when
they pushed Trump to try to get him in prison.
They saw what happened when he got the mug shot. Yeah,
who's going to jump to the top of the I
want to be president in twenty twenty eight and win
the Democrat nomination. That person would be wearing an orange
jumpsuit in their mind.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Who knew that politics would be like the rap game.
Getting arrested gives you street credit. Exactly right.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
That is a perfect point. And in this case, I
think did he's leading.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
Early?

Speaker 2 (32:54):
Oh my, hey, go a second. We got a soap
opera unfolding right before our eyes. In the headlines, her
name is in the headlines. Every day, she got another headline. Now,
remember we record this on Friday for Saturday broadcast. We
could have another headline since now, but we will only
deal with the latest one. Next.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
The Jonathan and Kelly Show, Jonathan Rush.

Speaker 5 (33:18):
The one, great, big, beautiful bill. If we do get it,
we're gonna have the largest tax decrease.

Speaker 1 (33:23):
In history, Kelly Nash And all my life I've.

Speaker 5 (33:26):
Watched politicians screaming we will cut your taxes. This is
the only group where they say we're gonna raise your
taxes and they.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Think they're gonna win. There's something wrong with them. I
don't know what the.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
Hell is going.

Speaker 1 (33:36):
The Jonathan and Kelly Show WOC.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
All right, and again we will be following that as
it heads over to the Senates. Chuck Schumer not too
happy all right now. But we wrapped this up today
and we got so many lawsuits going on. Seems like
every day there's a headline about her representation and who's
going to represent her, and Nancy Mays has got this
lawsuit going on. It all goes back to the beginning
when she made the comments on the House floor. So
without getting into all that, we can tell you that

(34:02):
there was an interesting turn of events. Who saw this
one coming as a deposition took place that involved Wesley
Donahue and people who involved in politics in South Carolina
know that name.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
So Friday morning is when we got this story. It
has not been updated as of the time of this recording.
The Mace team's response a spokesperson for Nancy Mace when
contacted about the under oath deposition. The response is in
his deposition, Wesley Donahue said that he knew Congressman Mace

(34:35):
and they were friends. He said she came to him
emotionally distraught and afraid for her safety. He saw bruises
on her body. Nothing else matters. So whatever he testified to,
nothing else matters other than he confirmed that he saw bruises, huh,
and she seemed afraid.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Well, Kelly, what about the other quotes listed in the
article of the post and Curry or some of the
things that said about Nancy bakes. None of that matters
and deposition form and this is certainly going to end
up in court. I mean, nothing else matters. He just
told you that she was in fear of her life,
and she is a victim. We know that she's been
a victim many times before. She's a victim. She had bruises.

(35:16):
That's all you needed.

Speaker 3 (35:17):
Oh, case over, here's what part of the testimony said
that they say doesn't matter. I can only tell you
what I've seen, and what I know is what she believed,
or she did believe that Patrick had cheated on her
and had pictures of women without their consent, and she
sat on that information for well over a year, didn't
want to contact the authorities, and asked me to blackmail

(35:42):
Patrick Bryant. Now there's no pushback.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
None of that matters. That she actually had laid a
plan out where she was going to go on a trip,
although she had been victimized before, she was going to
go on a trip, and that way she was going
to be to get into his phone and get other
information that she could use in the upcoming court appearance
in a multiple lawsuits still yet to be panned out
in the court room. But she's going to get more information.

Speaker 3 (36:06):
I mean, look, when you're when you're a person who's
been accused of attempting to coerce somebody else into blackmailing somebody,
you need to address that. You can't just have a
statement that says, well, that doesn't matter. You heard the
part where he said that she was afraid.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
Now.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
He also addressed the fact that he believes there's something
mentally wrong with Nancy Mace. He says that she's a
she lies, the.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
Liar who costly plays the victim card for her own benefit.
I would catch her and lies all the time.

Speaker 3 (36:44):
He also went on to say she's prone to embellishing
stories and believes that she's always a victim. She sees
black helicopters everywhere.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
And that she wants to get the information from inside
his phone, so she wants Lesley donnihue to blackmail him
so she can end up with two house properties.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
But just go back to what he just said, she
believes that everybody is out together and she's always a victim.
So the fact that he said that she believed that
she was in danger is not surprising. She always is
the victim, according to him, under sworn testimony. She can't
help herself. She's a victim of everybody in every situation,

(37:27):
all the time.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
And because she was victimized even by her own state attorney,
Alan Wilson, so she says, because he would not even
do anything about the investigations and move forward to being
an investigation of her abuse, which leg led us back
to the bruses and the like. Now she's going to
exact her own revenge by ending up with two homes,
one in Charleston and one in DC.

Speaker 3 (37:49):
And again, the only thing that matters here is this
man said this under oath. He's saying, I look test
me on it. I am telling you the truth, the
whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Nancy Mace is
a liar, and I have caught her personally in dozens
of lies. And Nancy Mays believes that everybody is out

(38:10):
toget her and she's always a victim, and she wanted
me to blackmail her ex boyfriend. And no, there's no
response from the Mace camp. Nothing. You're all like, none
of that matters.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
What about when he goes to court and that comes up,
and they certainly will ask her in the way that
they want to while she's on the stand. But then
will that come out and cross or will they simply
stand up and say objection, We strenuously object your honor.
None of that matters?

Speaker 3 (38:35):
Well, I think, I think Nancy Mayce cries and says,
oh my god, I can't believe you're victimizing me again.
You're victimizing me with my own words.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
Is that the way it works? You strenuously object?

Speaker 5 (38:44):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (38:45):
Well in that case, yeah, exactly, as we got our
few good men quote in for the day.

Speaker 2 (38:49):
Oh, the drama will continue to unfold. This has become
like a This is like a damn soap opera.

Speaker 3 (38:54):
Well, she needs a better spokesperson and somebody needs to
come up with a better strategy. Then well, he confirmed
that she was had bruises and she was afraid, and
nothing else he said, matters. No, it matters a lot.

Speaker 2 (39:06):
All right, we will find out what else matters, because
that's certainly going to continue to unfold as we get
to wrap it up for this week and get ready
for a great Memorial Day Monday. Hope you have a
good day off in salute to our military and thank
you fallen soldiers, men and women who gave the ultimate
for our country. Those family members in particular need to

(39:26):
be thanked, and we need to stop and honor those
people for their sacrifice.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
The Jonathan M. Kelly Show, that is our broadcast. Thank
you for being here with us. I'll show myself out
until we meet again, Kurry. And that's the way it
is in WVOC
