Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Jonathan and Kelly Show.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Jonathan Rush, if immigration raids had not happened here, we
would not have the.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Disorder, Kelly Nash.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
People in the city have a rapid restimponse network. If
they see ice, they go out and they protest.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
The Jonathan and Kelly Show WBOC.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
You know what I've recognized and now being the bigger
fight than what's going on in the streets in Los Angeles,
although there's no fighting there. According to Karen Largemouth Bass
very peaceful, very peaceful, is the fight to get camera
time I'm learning about like California's Attorney General. I wouldn't
even be able to tell you who that person was prior,
but all the Democrats are rushing to a television. The

(00:45):
beards are coming out again. I saw you, buddy, Chris
Murphy yesterday. Everybody of the Democrat Party is trying to
use this to catapult themselves to the top of the
totem pole.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
Well, you know, we've talked about that survey that came
out several months ago that the Democrat voters the number
one thing they want in their politicians right now is
to resist and fight against anything that's Republican. Just fight
them on anything. If they say the sky is blue.

Speaker 5 (01:11):
F you, it's orange.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
Just fight on everything.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
So like an episode of Star Trek the early days
where the sky was an orange color, yeah that planet.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
Just just fight on anything. But that's how they find
themselves on the wrong side of this issue and every
other issue. Karen Bass was humiliated yesterday when they showed
her a survey of Los Angeles voters. Los Angeles voters
sixty nine percent support the deportation of illegals even if
they've broken no laws, and she was like, no, that's

(01:42):
not true. Well, it's two thousand registered voters in Los
Angeles agree with the Republicans.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
They can't recognize the truth. They certainly can't give you
the truth. Tell you what. We got to talk more
about that coming up at some South Carolina issues. But wait, first,
we're going to go to the Jonathan and Kelly Double
Secret Probationary Hotline. Kelly Nash, welcome on the on US
Congressman Ralph Norman, good morning.

Speaker 6 (02:02):
Good morning, good morning, glad to be with you.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
It has been a flurry of activity and most of
the dust has settled over on the House. As the
big beautiful bill headed over to the Senate. Talk to
me about how you felt about the finalization that thinks
at this point with the reconciliation and how you guys
are doing with that.

Speaker 6 (02:17):
Well, the great part about what we're doing is the
fact that we're actually making cuts now. It's been a
long time coming. It's been a lot of work. It's
been a lot of I guess, anxious nights for a
lot of people because every dollar in Washington, d c.
Has got an advocate. But what I'm excited about is

(02:38):
we're going to pass a reconcilation bill. While not perfect,
it seals the tax cuts that had they expired, would
have been a twenty eight to thirty percent increase for
every American. We've got things that Elon Musk has identified
that should have never been paid for, even even put

(03:02):
on the books as an expense because of the ludicrocy
of it, that are going to be cut when we
go through the things. Probably we'll vote on this to
either today or tomorrow. So I'm excited and the American people.
That's been a good day. Had had Donald Trump not
gone in office and Kamala Harris she had won, you

(03:25):
never even see any of these things that we're doing,
and the fact that it's happening now, it couldn't come
too quick.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
Well, we're talking with Congressman Ralph Norman, and I know
you are a hawk when it comes to the budget,
but not everybody in Congress agrees with you, obviously, to
the point where I believe that part of the major
part of the fallout between Donald Trump and Elon Musk
was the I don't know, maybe lack of respect for

(03:54):
the work that he did, not by Donald Trump per se,
but by Congress that he found all these things, and
it seemed as if Congress didn't want to move on it,
and you end up with the big, beautiful bill that
ends up actually according to again, I understand that the
CBO is not very perfect when it comes to these predictions,
but it would add to the deficit. Does how do

(04:17):
I want to phrase this question, because it just seems
like Kennedy, Senator Kennedy is right. You can only cut
the budget to the point where you have enough votes
to pass it. Do you feel like you guys are
going to be able to get more cuts?

Speaker 6 (04:31):
Yes, I do. I think the fact what Elon Musk
has done and by the way, for your listeners, he's
a phenom. I mean, we won't see another Elon Musk,
I know, in my lifetime. But what the man has
done free of charge, he's not wanted any of this
glory for himself. He's not doing it for money. He's

(04:52):
doing it because it's the right thing to do. I mean,
I remember when the people in North Carolina when Helene
came through the government didn't step in. They offered a
meagre seven hundred dollars and Biden was doing photo ops
at the Greenville Airport who came through for the people
in North Carolina. Elon Musk was starlink. Didn't charge my dime.

(05:14):
And he's getting criticism and he shouldn't. He's what he's
saying is right. It's not cut enough. But Elion's used
to run his own company, and when you used to
run in your own company, you see things differently, and
he's getting a dose of what government's about. And it's
why we have to trim it back and stay on
top of it to eliminate the ways for all abuse

(05:37):
which he's done. And I can't tell you when he
I first heard of the some of the things he's found,
you know, to cut three million for a Rocky Sesame Street,
four million for Sedit Terry migrats in Columbia, over one
hundred and five million for the World Health Organization, which
is run by China. He's identified all these things and

(05:59):
it's up to us to cut it. And for your
listeners this week on the cuts that will be voting
on any Republican, any of them that vote against any
of these giveaways, cannot campaign on being a conservative if
they don't follow through with the votes. And this is
going to be one of the most pivotal times I

(06:21):
know since I've been up here, because you'll see who
you know who backs it up with their actions, and
you know it's going to be a great day. I
think we'll pass it, but it's going to be close.
We will get zero Democrat votes because they do not
like what Elon Musk has done for the American people
and they're flat out wrong.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Well, let's talk about the public side of being a congressman,
for instance, and how you vote, as you mentioned, and
that's going to be a litmus test for people like
you fiscal hawks. Now, I'm not going to mention the
other congressman from South Carolina by name, but there's a
story right now in the state newspaper where there's eight
hundred thousand dollars that was shelld out through a nonprofit
organization that's come under scrutiny because they're not filing any

(07:01):
paperwork at all. And we've heard about all of these
things through Elon Musk's efforts. Do you openly call out
other congressmen of the hallways are on the floor for
continuing to throw money away that the taxpayers have no
idea where this money is going unless we happen to
read a story in the paper.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
Well, you know, all of us have our voting card,
all of us. You know our vote is public, and
they can do with it what they will. I think
what the American people, what your listeners need to know
is they need to be held accountable by we the people,
and that means having consequences. And I will tell you that, yes,
sometimes it called out when it's so blatant, and this

(07:42):
will be a blatant vote against our free enterprise system,
against waste fraud abuse if they stay with any of
these things. And I will tell you a lot of
what I've learned the short time I've been up here.
A lot of these giveaways are right, come back to Washington,
d C. And it's not Democrat and it's not only Republicans,

(08:03):
it's both. And it's independence. And you know, we don't
have the money to spend now. This country's on life
support when it comes to our financial health. We can
correct it, which I think we will. And that's the
beauty of what Donald Trump has done, and that's what
Elon Musk has done. And they will get back together.
I think it may take a while, but they're doing

(08:23):
such great things for America. And I'm I'm as enthusiastic
as I've ever been because now you see there's hope.
When you see the Senate telling the House that they're
going to have more cuts than we did, then let's
make sure they produce it. Well. I believe it when
I see it, but I'm hopeful.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Congressman Ralph Norman on the phone with us. We've heard
from several congress people, including Marjorie Taylor Green, that there
was things inside the big beautiful bill that they weren't
aware of when they voted for it. Did you have
enough time to go through the bill and were you
shocked by anything that you saw in it?

Speaker 6 (09:00):
Shock that yeah, on the on the some of the
tax credits. You know, we've all heard about the seven
thousand per electric car, which should have never been in there,
the wind and solar credits. I'm sorry that the sun
doesn't shine twenty four to seven, and I'm sorry some
of the giveaways on that. But and I'm sorry that

(09:20):
we couldn't get more cuts. But I think, yeah, I
mean we've One of the reasons I was one of
the three that voted against moving the budget forward is
to get more cuts, because you know, the nine point
four b and that we're going to be voting on
this week in recisions is a tear drop in the ocean.
But it's still a step in the right direction. Yeah,

(09:42):
we went through it and didn't catch everything, but the
tax cuts. The tax part of this is the beauty
of this. But did we get enough. No, But we
got all we could get to get the two hundred
and eighteen votes.

Speaker 3 (09:58):
I know you're not directly associated with this issue, but
I want to bring it up because it's the biggest
issue that Donald Trump ran on with the border security.
As you watch what's unfolding now in California and the
efforts now to spread it across the country having with
a pushback on the deportation of illegal immigrants in our country.
What are your thoughts on how we continue in this
and are you starting to feel the pressure of people

(10:20):
calling your office saying that we've gone too far?

Speaker 6 (10:23):
Oh no, what people are telling me they want consequences
for those who break the law. You know, we've got
our First Amendment rights. We can say what we will
when it crosses the line. And this is what the
Biden administration, the Obama administration never believed in as consequences.
When you burn a police car, when you take over

(10:43):
a college dorm, when you break windows like I saw
late last night when I turned the TV on at buildings,
you pay a consequence. Where's the empathy for the victims
of those who are running businesses who are having the
property destroyed. You know, you've got to have consequences. Donald
Trump is going to put the people in place to

(11:05):
arrest them. And I tell you all this is orchestrated
and you are going to see it spread across across
the country because the liberal left knows that they're losing
their power. Seventy seven million people put a conservative in office,
and they're mad and they've gone to violence. We've got
to meet that violence and stop it. If we don't,

(11:28):
and I think Pam Bondi will as Attorney General, she
will stop it and prosecute. But it's not going to
be easy. And what's happening in Los Angeles? You sent
it in Texas. I fully expect to happen in other cities.
But you take it as it comes and you fight it.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
Congressman Ralph Norman with US Congressman, do you have your
tenfoil hat with you? Because I'm about to throw out
a conspiracy theory.

Speaker 6 (11:51):
I got it on right now.

Speaker 4 (11:52):
Fantastic. The President of Mexico last month made a speech
and that went viral over the last two four hours
or so, and in it, she is talking about the
big Beautiful Bill, and she's saying, we do not want
that three and a half percent tax on remittances from
Mexican citizens trying to ship money back to Mexico, and

(12:15):
she threatens, if necessary, we'll mobilize. Are we seeing the
sleeper cells activated in Los Angeles right now?

Speaker 6 (12:23):
Yes, you're seeing the sleeper sales. You're seeing the George
Saurus money. How do you think when they tore the
fifty cities up back there in George Floyd Riots when
they just tore them up with no consequences, and they
peek someone was posting their bail. Someone is bringing the
palettes of brick and block and frozen water bottles. I mean,

(12:45):
it's an insult to our rule of law and it's
going to stop. But yeah, it's the sleeper sales that
keeps cash ptail up. It keeps any law enforcement officer
that you talked to in DC or really anywhere. Uh
we've got a problem here. But the only way you
fix it is what they're doing is which is which

(13:07):
Tom Holman is taking them out of the country. And
I hate that we're having to pay for it twice
because I've been to the border twice. I saw the
stacks of food and the airplanes when the particular airplane
when I came back on we're mostly illegals because that's
what the Biden administration did to hope, in their mind,
create a voting block. And they should never have the

(13:30):
keys to power again for what they did this country.
And it's just gonna take time, it's gonna take money,
but uh, Trump is not gonna be stopped. He's got
the courage to do it, and he's gonna call the
Marines out, he's gonna call the National Guard. Whatever it takes,
he will do it to get it under control. And
let him go to any city in this country. And
Donald Trump's gonna have the same attitude of law and order,

(13:51):
because if we lose that, uh, and you have a
state that's total into tyranny, we can't have that.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Well, it's going to be interesting to see here in
South Carolina because, as you mentioned, with the George Floyd
protest that spread across the country here in Columbia that
didn't go so well Downey Charleston, they were able to
do some damage of the upstate was relatively quiet. I'm
thinking that South Carolina, hopefully because of our strong law
enforcement presence the last time, will help our citizens be

(14:20):
able to avoid any kind of personal or affront in
the streets.

Speaker 6 (14:23):
Well, I want to thank the sheriffs and the chiefs
of police. I think they get it, and I think
they feel the surge of support from people who will
maintain the rule of law, and they'll do whatever it takes.
You just can't go in and tear up property and
say it's a peaceful demonstration. No, that's you're breaking the law.

(14:44):
And you know, I know in York County we elected
a sheriff who is a marine. He will do whatever
it takes to make sure it doesn't happen, and I
think others across the state will do the same.

Speaker 4 (14:57):
I find it ironic that the governor of California is
suing the Trump administration for sending in the National Guard
to stop the riots. The riots have been going on
at that point for four days, and I was comparing
it to January sixth, where that was four hours, and
of course you would want the National Guard to stop
what was happening at the capitol that day. Of course
you should want the National Guard or anybody to stop

(15:20):
with the police chief was saying that they're overwhelmed in LA.
They can't handle it with the commercial grade fireworks being
fired at him, six thousand people shut down the one
on one freeway, and the fact that he wants to
sue a I guess he wants to embolden them even more.

Speaker 6 (15:35):
Gavin news of ought to be kicked out of office
for what he's saying about Trump. You know, he's protected lives.
What if it happens to his family. Let's see his
point of view if his wife gets a frozen bottle
thrown at or a brick, you know, let's see if
his house is batalized. I mean, he's a typical politician

(15:56):
who is a left wing nut, who who ought to
be kicked out of office by the voters. But California
is going to have to do it. And you know,
it's unbelievable that they don't take if they don't take action, now,
get somebody like that. I don't know what could save him,
because he should not be in office, particularly now when

(16:17):
you talk about you know, children, you talk about adults
getting maimed and injured. It's no excuse for it.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
Congressman Ralph Norman, we know repressing you now for time.
We certainly appreciate you carving out a little bit of
that to spend with us and our listeners, and we
hope to hear soon as the House will take up
the reconciliation measure when it comes back from the Senate.
Let's keep holding some feet to the fire up there,
and thank you for your efforts and your availability of
watching our taxpayer.

Speaker 6 (16:43):
Dollars underserve and real enthusiastic about what's happening. Thank you
all for what you're doing.

Speaker 3 (16:49):
It's always good to hear from the Congressman. And today,
I guess we're waiting in the next event and what's
becoming a large parade of military in Los Angeles prior
to the big parade in Washington. The Marines are going
to land today in Los Angeles. Is that what we're hearing?

Speaker 4 (17:05):
I guess it was originally five hundred, Now it's up
to seven hundred are being deployed, and you've got another
two thousand National guardsmen. It's a lot'll be four thousand
National Guardsmen there and you know, obviously this is just
making things worse. According to the Democrats, the more law
and order is instilled, the worse it gets.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
I know, one of the talking heads this morning was
very bewildered over why the Marines, and I'm like, well,
they're just down the street. To begin with, there was
a huge Marine Corps base just outside of Los Angeles.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
It's also important to the Camp Pendleton's where they're coming
up from.

Speaker 3 (17:39):
It.

Speaker 4 (17:40):
It's also important to remember that these the Marines in
the National Guard are not doing law enforcement. That is
ice all they can do under this presidential order. Is
protect buildings. That's it, federal buildings, and if the mayor
wants to ask them to protect any of their buildings,
she can ask. If the governor wants to ask them

(18:00):
to protect any of the state house buildings or whatever,
they can do that as well. But they can't actually
arrest people. But I don't think I would try to
attack a building with a Marine standing in front of me.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
But they're saying that the Marines, they'll be under extreme pressure, Kelly,
they will be.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Thankfully they're trained for those types of things.

Speaker 3 (18:17):
They said the Marines had never been trained on how
to use a shield, for instance.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
But they're going to get whacked in the head with
the bricks.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
The Marines have never had citizens, their own fellow citizens,
yelling in their face and spitting at them. They don't
know how the Marines will respond to that.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
I guess they're probably accurate. I mean, I don't know
that Marines have ever had in the last five or
ten years, have had citizens actually spitting and throwing things
at them our own citizens. They've certainly had it happening
in other countries. But look, I guess LA is trying
to break the record. In case you didn't know the
current record for the most expensive riot in the history
of the world was one point two billion dollars. That's

(18:58):
what it was for the RW King Verdict. One point
two billion is what they did Los Angeles. You hold
the title, Can you break the record?

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Well, I can tell you what I learned early this morning.
I would have watched it last night, but I was
watching something else with Sally. I took a break from
the news and watched a black and white movie. So
there's an effort. I've forgotten the name of the group,
but it's coming up for June teenth. There was a
nationwide effort. I've forgotten how many different protests that they
have scheduled, but it's seemingly thousands. Could be thousands because

(19:33):
they're all the way from small towns in Alaska to
major metropolitan areas in Florida. It's all across the country.
And the big note that she was gleeful to tell
you about last night was that the last one hundred
of these events to be announced were announced since Donald
Trump invaded Los Angeles with the military. So apparently the

(19:58):
June teenth celebration the African American community now is standing
up for illegals who are from well, maybe Mexico, maybe
Central America, maybe China. I don't know, but they're all
in solidarity now fighting back against the Trump administration and
making sure that all persons are recognized as legal. There

(20:19):
are no illegal persons.

Speaker 4 (20:21):
Last night, Doci, I don't know who she is, but
she's a singer being honored at the BET Awards last
night said quote, there is a ruthless attack creating fear
and chaos in our communities in the name of law
and order. Donald Trump is using military forces to squash
our First Amendment rights. This Flag Day, I ask all

(20:43):
of you to flood the streets and protest of Donald Trump.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
And do I bring my Mexican flag to that? Because
I saw a lot of Mexican flags out. I saw
some Hamas flags. What kind of flag do I bring
for Flag Day?

Speaker 4 (20:55):
I guess you would bring the American flag because they
interviewed some of the people the LA protests that we're
carrying American flags, and they said, yes, we hate America,
but we don't want the Republicans to be the only
ones to say that they love the country. So we
have to reclaim the American flag. So they're going to
fly that proudly and say that we're setting buildings on

(21:17):
fire in the name of Betsy Ross. I guess I
don't know.

Speaker 3 (21:21):
We hate America, we hate it, we hate it, but
we have to use the American flag because we're still
propagandizing that here fighting for the First Amendment, which includes
the right to burn down buildings.

Speaker 4 (21:35):
And if if we have our way, there'll be no
First Amendment. We'd like to this is we'd like to
squash all the Constitution and just sign it back over
to Mexico.

Speaker 5 (21:44):
First order of business is when a group called Antifa
says that the First Amendment has to go, we're flipping
definitions of words and patriotism all over the place with
our symbolism.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
They would love to use your freedom against you.
