(00:00):
Welcome to The Jonathan and Kelly Show. Jonathan John Kolby. I want to
get your reaction the administration's reaction toPresident right. You see saying that the
Iranians will spend the six billion dollarsquote wherever we need it. No,
that's not true, Kelly Nash.We will have visibility and oversight, so
this is not a blank check forthem. The Jonathan and Kelly Show.

(00:21):
Yeah, Kelly, this should easeyour mind. It's like where we started
off yesterday in the podcast. We'renot just going to give them this money.
They do whatever they want. Theycan't do finance terrorist acts. I
mean, even if in the mostI don't restrictive of of deals. Right,
if you're giving the Iranian government sixbillion dollars exclusively for humanitarian aid,

(00:45):
and if you want to make itmore liberal and say, you know,
access to equity on those types ofthings, sure, Okay, does the
money get spent in Iran? Andif it does, does that not free
up money that they would have beenspending on other things? And or could
they not? As are the Iraniansnot clever enough to say we're buying medicine

(01:06):
and then when they buy the medicine. They just refund the medicine and take
the billions and buy bombs. Iknow what you're trying to do, trying
to pull off a little little efT trick over there, you know,
where you transfer funds from one placeto another. You know, I'm trying
to follow Joe Biden's example. Well, that's what I was going to say.
That's not going to happen because wehave already learned by Joe Biden,

(01:27):
and he'll tell you again today atthe beginning, when he took office,
there was going to be an ironcurtain between any personal business dealings and the
business of the government. And toback that up, it was gonna be
full transparency. So John Kirby's tellingyou of the Iranians are following the example.
And this is what happened. WhenTrump was leading as the leader of

(01:48):
the free world. He wasn't transparent, and Biden is totally transparent. And
because he has set the example,he's now raised the bar for other world
leaders. So just your concerns,I mean, okay, So, and
I think what we saw there wasJohn Kirby responding to an interview that Lester
Holt did with the President of Iran, and that guy legit laughed out loud

(02:14):
and lester Holt's face when lester Holtsaid, and our understanding is you can
only use this money for humanitarian needs, and his response was basically, it's
Iran's money, we'll spend it howeverwe want to. And how do you
say he's not I know, JohnKirby, what he's trying to do.
He's trying to pull off a littleeft magic, John Kirby is I mean,

(02:37):
the gist of their position is thatthe money's being held in a bank
in Korea, and we're not goingto give him all six billion at once.
We're gonna slowly but surely dole itout, and they're gonna have to
request the money, and we're gonnawe're gonna oversee each request and then make
sure that that's at first off, they've never done They can't even do that
here with anything, You're not gonnado it with Iran. Secondly, if

(03:00):
you were to deny Iran their money, what do you think would happen?
You don't think they'd grabbed five moreAmericans quick like? You've just proven you're
willing to pay a billion plus perprisoner. Look it's they borrowed from al
Gore the lockbox. Okay, sothey put it in the lock bob.

(03:21):
And I think we look back overthe last two hundred years, the Democrat
Party has always been the one that'sbeen the most transparent. For instance,
the money that you spend now withthe Department of Homeland Security and the border.
Now that money is to secure theborder, some people may tell you,
And we've given a lot of thatmoney to the NGO's, the non
governmental agencies like church groups and thelike, who bring these and give shelter

(03:46):
immediately and help out at a Departmentof Homeland Security. And they actually helped
transport these people across the country, and then when they get them set up
there, then they walk them intothe governmental offices where they can actually sign
up for it, but only ifthey qualify Kelly under strict regulations. We're
not just gonna be handled out moneyto illegals. So here again we get
this whole shell game going where youand other conservatives wanted to act like there's

(04:12):
something going on to ferry us here. All this is open and transparent under
the Biden administration. I mean, there's so much wrong with the dismissal of
the conservatives concerns because they're based inI don't want to just say fact,

(04:33):
they're they're based in experience. Likeso, we were talking on the on
the rash thought about how they're tryingto make conservatives seem crazy at the state
House who had testimonies about COVID andthe vaccine shots. Well, we're down
to seventeen percent of Americans now gettingthe booster shots. We started with like

(04:58):
seventy percent of Americans getting the vaccines, and it's been a steady decline ever
since. And the reason the thingabout the wave of not only favorable media,
but advertising and all of that stuffthat we've seen for the last three
years about vaccines, and yet people'sreal life experiences have told them it doesn't

(05:19):
work. And in some instances, people are worse off because of the vaccine.
So that's why only seventeen percent aregetting it. They're the seventeen percent
that still believe the hype. Whenyou're talking about illegal aliens. I mean,
we can see the effect that's havingon the economy, we can see

(05:41):
the effect that they're having on crime. You don't I don't care what the
media says. I don't care whatthe Democrats say. I don't have to
read anything. I can just lookout in my own community. Unless I
don't forget who said it originally,But every state is a border state now
because the Biden and ministration has openedup the floodgates. And that's a legit

(06:03):
concern for people to have. Andit's a legit concern that Joe Biden is
trying to destroy America by funding terrorismthrough Iran. Yeah, and you know,
one of the things that constantly makessme and I wish they quit saying
it is because my orchist, forinstance, he's failing at his job.
No, he's not, he's exceeding. He is unbelievably successful at his job.

(06:26):
Ask anybody who knows outside of theveil of transparency what's really going on
in the Biden administration now? Andyou're right. We brought it up and
we talked about it the day inthe podcast and we're going to have Sheriff
Leon Lott on this podcast here injust a second, so we're gonna we
do want to bring you a littlebit more information about this. We had
day long hearings and the Republican panelat South Carolina State Legislature state legislators about

(06:48):
pandemic preparedness and where's the pandemic?By the way, by definition, there
is no pandemic. It's coming. If you could have every person on Earth,
all seven billion of us could haveCOVID, still not a pandemic.
Okay, So the Pandemic Preparedness Committeesaw a parade of witnesses trumpeting faults hoods,

(07:10):
proven falsehoods about the COVID nineteen vaccine. Now, apparently in this article,
I live this paragraph. I'll readit like it is a New York
attorney whose firm has been paid millionsby a leading anti vaccine group. Now,
and when I read that, whatdid I say? I have to
stop and say, who is fundingan anti vaccine group? What would be

(07:31):
the I understand why you would befunding a pro vaccine group because there's legit
trillions of dollars in the vaccine business. So somebody hyping vaccines, got it.
But what's the upside? Where's thecash? If nobody's getting a vaccine
shot? I don't know why youwould be spending your money in that way.

(07:51):
But nonetheless, paid millions by aleading anti vaccine group, So doubt
about the security of childhood vaccine andcoronavirus vaccine. The panel hurt from chiropractors,
a dermatologist, a family doctor, but did not take testimony from a
virologist or a vaccine researcher. Testifyingat the end of the eight hour hearing,

(08:13):
doctor Edward Simmer, the head ofthe state's Department of Health and Environmental
Control, said that having looked atthe data myself, so here's the man
put in the position where he isgoing to help us be prepared for the
pandemic coming. As we keep hearingabout, after looking at the data myself,
coronavirus vaccines are safe and effective. So there again, so that's your

(08:35):
concerns. I meant, let meask, does anybody feel like in twenty
twenty three here at the end ofanybody who's listening to the show, that
your life would be better if youhad a vaccine. If you do,
go get it. Even though Fizerand Maderna have quadrupled the price on the

(08:58):
new fall edition, apparently this islike a fine wine. This is this
is a great pick. The vineswere awesome for this one. So they've
quadrupled the price for this new shot. Senator Tom Corbin, Republican Traveler's Rest
said, I've been looking forward tohear him from you all day. He

(09:18):
being doctor Robert E. Jackson.Well, that sounds suspicious to begin with,
upstate family doctor who treated hundreds ofpatients with ivramectin. It says here
in the posting Courier comma a horsedeem warmer. Now, why would you
put that in there? Why whywould the author of the article add that,

(09:39):
Well, he doesn't know that there'sactually an FDA approved ivvermectin that is
being used by millions of Americans forsimple things like headlics, Rosie rosea whatever.
You know, what he's doing ishe's trying to delegitimize exactly a known,

(10:00):
a known, proven treatment. Andhe goes on of Americans who,
by the way, do not havethe side effects of the vaccine of COVID
nineteen. But he's trying to inthat article, he's trying to make it
seem as if it's the same asa placebo. I think was the phrase
that he used, or shows nobenefits over that of a placebo. That's

(10:22):
bogus, because look, I hateto tell you this, sometimes placebo's work,
right, meaning you could take asugar pill and the power of your
mind overcomes whatever your ailment is.And so if sometimes people just need a
sugar pill, well with ivermectin,if it's not working, something's working because

(10:43):
people are getting great results off ofit. Whether it's just they believe it
so much that they get better,or ivermectin actually affects the disease. Either
way, it's working, and it'sto your point without the side effects.
Right, I'd say, why don'twe update the wonderful Idine state slogan to

(11:03):
the wonderful ivermectin State South Carolina. We'll continue this conversation as we get more
information after this groundbreaking hearing yesterday fromthe legislators. But wait first, Kelly
Nash, Welcome into the studio sharefle Online. Hello there, gentlemen.
Good to be with you again. We missed a couple of months here and

(11:24):
we had some conflicts, but havea lot of talk about today, so
it's good to be here with youand your listeners. The last time I
saw you, you were in afoul mood and it was in a press
conference where you had the ninety seventhdrive by shooting of this year. That's
a staggering number. It is staggered, and that's just in the city of

(11:45):
Columbia's probably had that MANI too,So you know, that's the sign of
the times right now. With theseyoung gang bangers I want to be gang
bangers. They think it makes them, I don't know what it makes them
drive by somebody's house on the coverdarkness and just start shooting a bullets in
the house and then drive off andyou know, just skirt away like a
little snake or something. So nowyou made a pretty profound promise, and

(12:09):
we've we fulfilled that promise too.We blew doors off of houses for about
a week and a half and arrestedto four young people that were involved in
shooting my deputy, but then restedsome other gang members too. So we
know, anybody who gets shot isbad. But when you shoot a police
officer, I think that shows thatyou're not scared of anybody whatsoever, right,

(12:33):
and so that crosses the line. There's kind of an unwritten line that
you have that you don't attack acop. And when they did that,
then you know, basically it's warreat that point. And so we had
to make sure that we went towar and we did, and we've had
some good, good results of it. The Ultimate Act of the Finance used

(12:54):
to be rare, but we readabout it now all the time. We
even read about ambushes. Yeah.Fortunately it hasn't happened around here. That's
the first time that we've had someonethat's targeted a cop. I mean,
you've had cops shot in domestic violencecases and some other things, but a
gang shooting a police officer and adrive by, it's just something this one

(13:16):
has not heard of, and two'snot gonna be tolerated. So we had
to make sure that we made astatement too. So that's why I went
public with it and said, look, this is what happened, and this
is what's about to happen. Andthen we followed up and said, okay,
this is what we've done. Butwe did apprehend all four. They
were sixteen and seventeen years old.The deputy was not to target, but

(13:37):
he was in the house, Hismarked police car was in front. They
knew he was a cop, knewhe was in the house, and they
just didn't care. So they're gonnathey're gonna be held accountable for it.
They're still in jail when no bondsset on them. Sure flee on lot
with us this morning. And somy question they just popped into my head
was, I don't remember if itwas a year or maybe even two years

(13:58):
ago, there was some sort ofdiscussion about trying to unite the gangs and
have all these people we're gonna, you know, kind of try to curb
gang violence through that happened, andit really did happen, and they're still
working. I've heard from them afterthis happened. And what you've got is
you've got your older gang members whobasically know the rules, and then you

(14:20):
have these younger gang members who don'tlisten to anybody. So I've had some
quite a few conversations with the oldergang members now after all this happened,
and they're they're trying to they're tryingto get to these young people, but
it's being difficult to young So thisis a new breed of gang. This
is new. This is a newbreed, and they're not even respecting their

(14:41):
their elder gang members or gang leaders. They're not respecting them. And so
they're off out doing this stuff. But they're still out there in the community
working, they're still doing things. They're doing as much as they can,
and they know that this is notgood for business. It's not good for
them for what happened and the spotlightthat's been put on them. So they're

(15:01):
suffering too for the as the actionsthat some of these young game members have
been doing out here speaking to nightgood for business. I know that you've
had a lot of businesses reach outand thankfully not like problems we've seen in
other parts of the country on thenews, But what's going on specifically with
sand Hills, because I know theheadline pretty much said deputies aren't going to
be there anymore. Yeah, well, deputies are not going to be there's

(15:24):
babysitters. You know, if there'sa crime committee, we're going to respond.
I didn't say that. But what'shappening is is that the so called
parents are dropping off these ten, twelve, eleven, thirteen, fourteen year
old kids at the village of sandHill and just leaving them there and letting
them run wild and do whatever theheck they wanted to. And the movie
theater had some big special or fourdollars. You had kids from Greenville that

(15:48):
were being dropped off there. Sothey were coming from all over the place
and had a huge fight. Wehad to call it every deputy in Richland
County to respond to get a handleon it. Well, that takes all
my resources. Now, if yourhouse is getting broken into it, I
ain't got a dappy descend to you. Because they got out of here babysitting
these kids, and I said, enough is enough. And the village sand

(16:10):
Hill is owned by so many differentpeople. Now, the theaters separate from
this group, the grocery store, separate apartments, separate everybody. Everybody's separate,
uh huh, And so there's nocoordination of what needs to be done
out there. So I put itback out on them, but also put
it on these parents. So justdropping these kids off, and you know,

(16:30):
and a kid who doesn't have anyparents supervision is going to do what
the heck they want to do andrun wild. And that's what's happening.
It's it's hurt the businesses out there, and it's hurting people going to the
village of sand Hill. I wantto fall up on that for a second,
because you just I think that wehad two or three things that are
kind of threatening together here. Soyou got parents who aren't being parents correct

(16:52):
or you've got let me put itthis way. You've got kids who don't
respect the authority of their parents,so then they get dropped off off at
a place like Santils. They don'trespect your deputy, and then you end
up with a situation where that disrespectivesgoing so far they don't even care about
taking a shot at a deputy.Right, we're raising a group of outlaws,
true, we are, because youdon't have you have adults in a

(17:15):
house with with kids instead of beinga parent, and you know that's not
good parents and skills is taking dropyour kids off and while you go out
and go to the bar or dowhatever and have your own personal time.
And you're throwing your kids to besupervised by the deputy, shares and the
business community at village. And that'snot that's not the way it should be

(17:36):
done. Oh yeah, we're raisinga bad generation right now. What are
you asking sand Hills to actually do? Right now? Because they have a
curfew, right, there's a curtain, it's not being enforced, so so
they themselves are supposed to enforce thatcurfew, right, that's supposed to be
part of that. And they havedo they have like security there very very

(17:57):
very limited security there. Okay,So they're not wanting to spend the money
necessary, they should help the security, that's security. They should coordinate with
us a little bit better. Andthen the community's involvement needs to be parents
need to be parents and not dropyour kids off that the theater has been
the magnet for all the problems there, okay, because I'm going to the

(18:19):
movies to drop me off. Sothey drop off these young kids there.
It's very bizarre. If you're comingfrom Greenville as between here and there,
it draws them there because that isthe hangout place. Oh, obviously this
is something where we're troubles about tohappen, right, and so when you
have kids from different neighborhoods and differentcities basically get together, then somebody's got

(18:42):
to show who's big and bad,and then you end up with fights and
you know, we're caught in themiddle of it. Then they end up
tacking one of our deputies, andso you know, we have to put
it out for everybody to show up. So it impacts what goes on in
the village is impacting the whole RichlandCounty, not just the village but Oliver
Richland County. So you would likethem to have more security on premise,

(19:03):
not only at or for the wholevillage of Sandhills, but also inside the
movie theater. Right, and coordinate, coordinate better with us. Okay,
So I never said we would notrespond there. We were just not going
to have our deputies just staying therein babysitting. Did you have a substation
there? We used to have oneyears ago. Again, I'm gonna go

(19:25):
back when this place was built andAlan Khan owned it. Yeah, at
the very first meeting he had withme and his top executives, he sat
in our conference room and looked athe said, let me start this meeting,
he said, He looked at allof these people, said, whatever
the sheriff says we need to do, we're going to do it. Safety
is first. I don't won't carehow much it costs. Safeties first.

(19:47):
And it was that way and itwas good. But then he doesn't own
it anymore. He has different ownerstheir view most of them don't. They
don't even live here, so theirviews are different. Yeah, and they're
basically dumping a lot of stuff onus, and I'm just not going to
have that. Well. Well, and I though that you're right, when
your chaff's deputies are all called inone location, that makes the rest of

(20:08):
the county vulnerable, right, Andwe've seen that at least in movie plots,
where you distract the police while you'regonna do something else. So it
makes the rest of the community veryvulnerable. Right. So you know,
people in Eastover and Valentine and otherparts of the county, now you're losing
your protection because we're out here babysittingthese people. So we're not doing that

(20:29):
now. You know again, ifthere's a crime discommitted out there and we're
needed, we're definitely gonna respond. We're not ever going to do that,
but we're just not gonna sit thereand babysit your kids. Hey, I
got a quick, stupid question.Yesterday, I intovertently set off the alarm
at my house. I didn't realizeI opened the door and I got to
go down to get the trash can, so I pulled the door closed again.

(20:49):
Well, by the time I gotto the end of the driveway,
I'm getting a learn on my phonethat my burglar alarm has gone off,
and now we're gonna I've got sevenseconds before they're going to call the police.
So I canceled it. But howmany times do we have deputies go
to people's houses because of the burglaralarm all the time? That is false
alarms or something that we get constantlyevery day, and that's at homes,

(21:14):
but it's also at businesses and andwe have to look at you know,
if it's somebody like you who justdid something stupid, or or if it's
a senior citizen who has problems turningto alarm off. Gotcha, Yeah,
but we're gon we're gonna respond nowif you know, you're gonna get so
many faults alarms and then at somepoint we're gonna stop responding to your house,

(21:36):
right because then we expect you toget your alarm checked out. Sure,
we suspect you to have a securitysurvey to certain things we're gonna ask
you to do before we start comingback and answering your alarms. Now,
because we have some places that herhabitual almost every night you set your clock
and that they're gonna go alarm isgonna go off? Huh Again, that's
wasteful of our resources and wasteful ofour taxpayers money. Sure, and so

(22:00):
we have you know, false alarmordinance that you know, after so many
of them no more, Okay,I didn't realize that was the case.
Oh yes, So I hope you'veonly had one. I've only had one
since the kid. But if theybut if they didn't Kyle law enforcement,
then that doesn't count as a falsealarm. If we would have responded right,
we would have run a report andthen we'd have put you down for

(22:22):
a false alarm. Oh well,I kept the I took a freeze frame
of the heat, canceled the alarm. So if the deputy pulled up,
I go, I canceled it right, and then we would have spanked you
over, wait to put you inthe back seat of the car for a
little while. Lets would have beenlast night was the first time, so
the first time. Just ride aroundfor a couple of hours. We're stopping

(22:45):
a fast food restaurant. I'll begood. So one of the problems that
we've been having forever, it seemsas the catch and release of the criminals.
You catch them, and lawmakers andthe courts keep releasing these people.
How has there been any headway madeon the We've actually did make some progress.
I think that we started shedding somesunlight on this over a year ago

(23:07):
and started showing just how these repeatoffenders keep getting out and keep you know,
repeating their crimes. General Assembly passedsome bond reforms, so we got
some of that. We we gotsome more work to do, but we
did get some progress. So nowmatchters are required to fill out a form
when they set bond on someone. Is it a gang member is getting is

(23:30):
a gun involved in it? Orthey're already out on bond or their on
probation, their criminal records, soyou actually have to check these things off
now, So there's a written document. Never had that before. Okay,
and so there has been some progress, but we still have we still have
a ways to go. But nowthere needs to be accountability for somebody who
breaks the law and continuously breaks thelaw. You know, Jonathan gets arrested

(23:53):
today for a crime, he getsout on bond, he goes out and
breaks the law in tomorrow. He'salready showed these not gonna follow the rules.
Why why should he get another bondbut needs to sit in jail until
it comes to court time. That'sholding him accountable for it. You know,
you get that one chance to getout on bond, but then if

(24:14):
you break that bond again, thenyou shouldn't have another chance. And so
we're getting toward that. So I'veseen some progress. I think the community
has had enough. I know ourstate House, the legislators had enough.
The governor got behind it. Sowe made some progress. We just have
we have more work to do.I know. The answer is that they're
presumed innocent until proven guilty, andthat's why they're able to get multiple bonds.

(24:37):
I remember one time you said somethingabout there was a certain number of
people that did the vast majority ofthe crimes in rich Land, right,
probably five percent of the people commitninety five percent of the crime. So
what is that like a hundred peoplein rich Probably a little bit more than
that. But it's the same repeatoffenders. I dealt with people all the
time and said, you know,I have lots of customers, and they

(25:00):
tend to be repeat customers. Yeah, and that's so true though. It's
the same people over and over andover. The same ones get breaking in
the cars, the same ones whoare doing drive by shootings, the same
ones who are robbing people. It'sthe same few people who's just continuously break
the law. So there's only oneplace that we can put them. That's
going to protect our community, andthat's behind bars. So not everybody needs

(25:25):
to stay in I've never said that, but the ones who demonstrate they are
a threat to our community and thatthey're not going to follow the law,
then they need to be locked up. Our lives would be significantly and better
if we could get about two hundredpeople off the streets. And I can
tell you the two hundred people, two hundred who they are, and and

(25:47):
and I'd say every one of themalready got outstanding charges on them. They
just haven't been the court yet.Our court system moves very slowly, and
so these people get out and theykeep breaking along, keep getting the rest
breaking along and get arrested. Theykeep getting out over and over and over
again. You know, because oneof the complaints has always been for the

(26:07):
people who actually work inside the courtsystem, more from people who tried to
defend it, is that you know, we keep clogging up the court system.
Well, aren't you clogging it upby allowing these people to get back
out, because we're giving them opportunityto create another case. And then it
sounds like these two hundred people areclogging up the system, which only benefits
them you are, but you alsovictimize the more people. Sure, you're

(26:29):
having more people who are becoming avictim because that person is Can you even
estimate if I if I committed acrime and I get out and I become
one of your two hundred people thatjust constantly create crimes, how many crimes
do you think I get away withbefore I'm caught again? I mean I
could create three or four or fiveother break ins before you finally ever catch
me. And I catch you againand you get out again, and what

(26:51):
are you gonna do? You're gonnago continue to do that. That's what
they do for a living, justlike you come here and sit behind this
console and you're show that's what theydo for a living. They break the
law, They steal, they robbed, they hurt people. That's what they
do. Well, we're seeing citiesnow that letting get way the hell out
of control. Even they're pushing backnow because we're seeing it more on the
national news. And thank you again, because I think that you have quite

(27:17):
the wide and varied reputation. I'msure withinside organizations are light to come in,
like we saw was an Antifa group. I can't remember which one of
the splinter groups came in. Theydidn't last long. Yeah, they get
the memo, don't come back here. You got a lot of repeat customers,
but they don't give you five starreviews. They don't like. They
don't like to see me. AndI will tell you when we had to

(27:38):
press conference after Deftly got shot andsaid we were going after him, I
got up at four thirty every morning, went out with our swat team,
and I was there when we blewdoors off and put handcuffs some people because
they needed to know that I wasthere. And that's not bragging them and
making up, but it needed astatement needed to be made that we were

(27:59):
not playing around, and we didn'tplay around. Well. I think that
everybody watching, and maybe it's justthe people who know you because they've been
in the situation because you've been talkingon their door very heavily at four thirty
in the morning, or they've beenaround you enough to know when You've got
a lot of supporters in the communitywho know this. When we saw you
