(00:00):
Welcome to the Jonathan and Kelly Show. Jonathan Rush is the best running mate
for this president. He thinks so, and that's what matters. Kelly Nash.
People shouldn't underestimate what Kamal Hash bringsto the table. Do you think
she is the best running mate? She's the vice president of the United States.

(00:20):
So people say to me, well, why isn't she doing this or
that? Is it because she's thevice president? That's the job description.
You don't do that much. TheJonathan and Kelly Show. Her job description
as vice president don't do much.Don't don't do much. Yeah, put
her in charge of the border.Wasn't she actually called the tzar of the
border. And then we put herin charge of something else. I know.

(00:43):
When Joe Biden was the vice president, he was in charge of,
and very successfully so, of endingcancer and we'll get back to that here
in a few minutes. But alsoremember he was in charge of the shovel
ready jobs that Barack Obama scoffed atafter we wasted roughly three trillion dollars shovel
ready jobs ready, not not soshovel ready. But Joe wasn't overseeing all

(01:07):
of that money. Now how manycompanies was Hunter on the board of.
We don't know, but we hireda lot of work done for infrastructure.
Remember in particular, oh we weI mean where we live here in Columbia.
There's a bridge that took the entireObama presidency and then extra to finish.

(01:29):
It was like, well, you'rejust you're adding one lane to it.
Why is this thing taking nine years? Because that's part of that shovel
ready. It was shovel ready. We got to make it work. We're
shoveling more crap as what we're shovelingnow. Okay, So Joe knows that
Kama is the woman or person forthe job, and that's all the matters.

(01:51):
Yeah. It was great because earlierin the interview they asked Nancy Pelosi,
is Joe Biden the right man tocontinue to should he do this?
And she was like, absolutely,Joe's the right man. I know it,
everybody knows it. Blah blah blah. Is Kamala the right running mate?
Well he thinks, so he thinks, So don't matter what I think.

(02:13):
In other words, you don't think. So how much more awkward can
this get? Yeah? Man,we're gonna dance around this donkey in the
room. And when I say donkeyin the room, that's not a reference
to her in particular. It's likethe elephant in the room. The age
Old Adage loved to use that onRepublicans. So I just put their party
symbol and called it a donkey. So we're gonna dance around this donkey in

(02:34):
the room. And they got tofigure out how we're going to get her
off the ticket, which is animpossibility so now, and that's one of
the reasons why I'm surprised Biden isstill on the ticket. I'm shocked that
we haven't already called newsoman. Neverunderestimate Joe's ability to blank things up.
Barack Obama said it. And thelonger this guy hangs around, the more
obvious it becomes. Because legit, when you've got David Ignacious right in those

(02:59):
op edps is like yesterday's, he'sabout as liberal as you're gonna get.
You're not going to find a biggerthink of more throbbing head than David Ignatious.
And and you know, for somereason, liberals like to misinterpret,
intentionally misinterpret what people are saying. So there when people are saying Joe Biden
is ineligible to run basically because hecan't function. They're saying, you can't

(03:23):
make age an issue. Bernie Sandersis the same age, and Donald Trump's
almost the same age. And youknow, you can go through a laundry
list of people that are in theirnineties that are looking great. Joe Biden
ain't that guy for one. JoeBiden is a mental mess right now.
And you know, whether it's announcingfrom the stage, I'm going to bed,

(03:45):
or you know, just calling peopleby the wrong names, all of
it is the continual stream of liesthat has poured out of his mouth.
You know, is that one reporterwas it yesterday, was trying to ask
her in Jean Pierre as she refusedand turned her back and walked off the
stage. You know, he liedabout this. He lied about that,
He lied about this, lied aboutthat. Is this a problem with his

(04:10):
mental acumen or is he just intentionallylying to people. It's one of the
two, Yeah, because he's notthe truth and we already know it's not
the truth, and he knows it'snot the truth because it's been in the
paper that he's lying about it,and he continues to lie about it.
There was a third answer available, although it was one of the two,
and the third answer was just turnedaround and walk off. That was the
answer. That's what they're all doingnow, this whole thing that I guess

(04:31):
David Brock is going to bring itnow to the doorstep of the Republicans with
this threat if you continue to investigatethe Biden crying family. Excuse me,
that's not what he said. Ifyou continue to push forward with your impeachment
on this unbelievably stupid, absolutely noevidence to offer charge of somehow the Bidens

(04:54):
are influence peddling all across the world. If you bring that, then we're
going to start investigating Republicans. Youknow what I say to that, David
Brock good, I'm saying, investigateevery five hundred and thirty five members of
the House and the Senate, andanybody who's been appointed by any of those
people. Investigate them all. Myprayer has been not that Joe Biden be

(05:18):
brought down by his obvious, toanybody who wants to stop and take a
look at it, obvious use ofposition to influence or to enrich himself and
his family off the taxpayers of theseUnited States of America. My prayer is
anybody and if you had anything onTrump, you'd have found it by now

(05:39):
because you've done a proctology exam onthe man. But if you've got something
you want to bring on Trump, bring it anything that anybody currently serving or
has served in the past that hasmoney we can call back for the taxpayers.
Bring it, fully, investigate it, and prosecute them. Well,

(06:00):
I mean, I would say theyare already doing that. The whole thing
about the impeachment is I hate thetit for tat, but what they did
to Donald Trump like kind of tookthe lid off right so that they legit
had no even and they didn't evenhave a sniff or what did Barack Obama
say, there's not even a smidgeor whatever. I'm trying to remember the

(06:24):
phrase that he used in Iota, yeah and Iota. There was no implications
at all that Trump had done anythingillegal, that he was under Russian influence,
he's a you know, foreign agent, and all those types of things.
They just brought it because they hadthe votes to get it done,
and then they did it a secondtime. So right now, if the

(06:46):
Republicans did not respond to what manywould say appears to be corruption by the
Biden family. I'm gonna just putit in the best possible light for the
Bidens. It appears to be influencedpeddling by Joe Biden when he was the
vice president. If you didn't respondto that with an impeachment, then the
Democrats would know that they have theability to steamroll you. This at least

(07:06):
lets them know we're going to impeachevery one of your guys, and you're
gonna if you're going to continue this, then we're never going to get anything
done with President. Whoever the nextpresident will be will be impeached for something.
And hopefully it's kind of like that, you know, de tante where
mutual assurance destruction is assured. Willjust eventually they'll stop. They'll stop,

(07:30):
and we can stop and everybody canjust say, all right, let's just
see what the real facts are.But with the Biden thing, it does
appear at first glance that he hascertainly sold us out. And I think,
as we mentioned before, it's theseriousness of the charge that was previously
the impetus for an investigation. Soin a matter who made the charge,

(07:51):
the seriousness of the charge, accordingto the Democrats with demand a full investigation.
Chuck Schumer said, so you wantto investigate people you think so on
the take great, you want tofind a way to make sure we're not
leveraging taxpayer money and getting families enrichedbecause it happened to be part of the
elite ruling class which is now becomingthe mainstay of your democracy, that you're

(08:18):
the authoritarian government. You're hiding behindthe claims that they're supposed to be a
democracy, and we're going to bringback now all bring it out in the
open, and they're saying it openly. We have to defeat Donald Trump because
we have to add the state DCstatehood and we have to be able to
get that type of overwhelming votes availablein the Senate if we're ever going to

(08:41):
pack the Supreme Court all and wehave to do away with the electoral college.
Some guy Rachel Maddow interviewed about twonights ago as a book out that
encapsulates every way it should. Ithas been called Democrats Wet Dream, encapsulates
everything they want to get done, and the auspice under the auspice says up

(09:03):
saving democracy and nothing that the outlineof the book even reflects a democracy,
except for the fact he wants todo away with they elect to a college,
so the majority rules. Well, that's the opposite of democracy, and
so you know that's the opposite ofa republic for sure. Yeah, this
idea of whoever has the most voteswins, I mean that that may sound

(09:26):
silly to some people, like whywouldn't it be whoever has the most votes
wins. And the reason, aswe've I don't know how many times you
have to go through this, butwe've gone through it a number of times,
is so that the minority has avoice. And now that really helped
out back in the day when theminority was blacks and the minority was women,

(09:48):
and the minority was somebody other thanright now, the minority seems to
be conservatives, and so now theyhave this opportunity where because you have a
bunch of low iq authoritarian loving peopleliving in cities, that's where that's where
the population centers are. Where inthe old days up until around nineteen I

(10:11):
think it was fifty nine. Ifyou go back in the thirties, the
forties and all previous times, themajority of Americans didn't live in cities,
although those were obviously population centers. The majority of Americans lived in the rural
parts. They just outnumbered those peoplethat we can, you know, kind
of clamped together. Well, nowthose clamped together cities are all Democrat run

(10:33):
and they're all growing fast, andthere's this whole big move. You got
to get more people into the city. And the more people that move into
the city, the more people youhave brainwashed. And if you could get
you know, eighty percent of Americansliving in cities, that's a democrats wet
dream because then they can control everything. And by the way, this guy,

(10:54):
I mean, anybody who has anyeducation level at all, and I'm
not never claimed to be the mosteducated, is certainly not. I didn't
retain all the information I've ever beenexposed to. So there's no way I'm
speaking on a platform of intelligence here. But I'm let me just rephrase it
by saying this, I'm stupid enough. But yet I know that, Hey,

(11:16):
the electoral college did not originate withthe United States of America. I
also know that the United States ofAmerica is not the only country with an
electoral college. Could some of thosecountries now have drifted and they're not as
many countries probably I haven't done theresearch on that, but I can tell
you that we're not the We didn'tcreate it, and we're not the only

(11:37):
one who uses it. Then that'stwo of the main stays. And why
we have to do away with theelectoral college. It's so cavemanish that we
have to do away with that Neanderthalthinking. And we have to have a
majority rule because we're a democracy.Hey, then let me just ask you
the next question. Why do youhave to have a Senate or a Congress

(12:00):
if you're a democracy, why wouldyou need a representative that's a republic?
What are you talking about? Andas Kelly pointed out, man, I
sure, am glad it was allthe African Americans serving in the Senate and
the House that turned in nineteen sixtyfour to the civil rights movement. Oh
it wasn't. Oh I'm sorry.Am I now falling victim of what you'd

(12:20):
preach to me that we all goback to tribes and we can only be
a monolithic vote according to our epidermistlevel. These people are constantly stripping over
their own hypocrisy, But they gotthemselves with enough crutches through the media.
Although we get a little pushback yesterday, didn't we the media didn't want to
necessarily go along with the Biden's administrationthat what was the directive that you stringently

(12:45):
stringently analyze the Republicans charge against theBiden family. Well, I mean if
you, if you stringently analyze it, you're going to find out that there's
a lot to it, you know, and apparently there's more. Come I
heard, I saw Nancy Mace wasquoted as saying that in classified documents,

(13:07):
they've seen a lot more here inthe last week or so. And she's
like, when you if you guysare ever able to see what we're seeing,
you'd know that they were guilty.Well, it's weird because it was
like three months ago. I guesswhen she said that she believes the total
amount of money that's been given toBiden and or his family members, whether
that went directly and there's a bankaccount or hunters and then the brother nephews

(13:28):
and nieces and I don't know whoelse shares bank account signatures on which accounts,
but she claimed then it was morethan fifty million dollars. We've never
heard Colmers say more than twenty Shesaid in the Skiff information that she had
been eyewitnessed to she believed it tobe north of fifty and now in the
past week she's saying it's more thanthat. And you know, it's funny

(13:50):
that when you listen to Democrats talkabout the obviously they're trying to separate Joe
from Hunter, and they're saying, look, if Hunter is guilty of something,
he should go to jail and paythe punishment for years. We're not
saying, don't prosecute Hunter. Whatwe're saying is Joe Biden has nothing to

(14:11):
do with it. Well, now, I just saw pull the other day
that said like fifty four percent ofAmericans believe Joe Biden had something to do
with his son's illegal business practices. The vast majority of Americans, like eighty
five percent ninety percent now think thatthe Hunter is involved in illegal activities,
and most people believe it wouldn't.First off, it wouldn't be possible for
Hunter Biden to do anything criminal onhis own. He's not smart enough.

(14:35):
He doesn't offer anything other than Iam a drug addict who likes prostitutes.
That that is my skill set.Put that on a resume and try to
figure out how to make that work. He can't, so he needed Daddy
to make some connections so that Ican then backdoor deals for you. Dad.
In the meantime, though, whenthey say, you know, Joe,

(14:56):
nothing going on there, then atthis literally in the same newscasts you'll
see, well of Anka Trump, she got eighty you know, permits or
whatever for Chinese deals. Well, that's a none of that's illegal, that's
not She has an opportunity to sellher wares in China. Now I'm not

(15:16):
saying that's good or bad. I'mjust saying that's not illegal. She's actually
got to go over there and sellsomething. On this side, what we
have are the Chinese military government,Russian officials buying artwork for millions of dollars
off Hunter and or cut, puttinghim on boards where they're paying him hundreds

(15:37):
of thousands of dollars every month, and for what that is a direct payment
for nothing. I'm selling you mypen for ten million dollars. You want
to buy it? Who wants tobuy my pen for ten million dollars?
Well, if it's got Hunter Biden'sname on it, suddenly it's very valuable.
Why because Joe Biden comes behind it, and you know in a day
and age when we can't even getthe House to push forward any legislation when

(16:00):
you might get it now, butyou couldn't get it under Nancy Pelosi,
where you get the House to pushforward legislation that would separate them from their
own personal investments, meaning they can'tdirect their own stock buys and it has
to be put in a lot boxand then managed by someone professionally who is
not in contact with them because ofthe information flow that's called inside or trading.

(16:22):
So we all know that when youcan't get that legislation passed, you're
certainly not going to be able toget any kind of legislation that would scrutinize
the availability of a private citizen whohappened be related to somebody in office who
does business either in this country oranother country, where legislation in DC could
happen to influence their business. Becausethere is no business period in the United

(16:45):
States of America that has not influencedsome way, shape form or another,
either through direct regulation, medical forinstance, or broadcasts for instance, or
any other business that's not somehow touchedby legislation, you're not going to be
able to come up now and saywith a Trump family. You know,
she got a patent or whatever whatever, So whatever it is, you can't

(17:07):
you can't bridge those two when youdon't even have a bank on either side
of the argument. There's a wholeriver flow into cash. And here,
why do you think Nancy Pelosi decidedthat she wasn't going to retire. She
could have very easily used her connectionsfor Paul to pick up the phone and
find out what kind of legislation isgoing to be moving through the House on
any particular issue, so he canget Chucky Schumer's friends on Wall Street,

(17:30):
the district he serves to front loadhis buys so that he makes billions of
dollars all the time, just byhaving information flow. And she could have
picked the phone and done that. No, you want Nancy in a position
where she actually influences decisions. That'swhy she decided she wasn't going to retire.
No, that's pure speculation. Andif you if you're shovel ready,

(17:52):
you could say that's shoveling horse maneurOkay, then you tell me what it
is. Then she just likes beingwell, you know, they would say
Diane Feinstein's ninety doesn't even know herown name. She not retired. Well,
you think the Nancy Pelosi is notgoing to be in office anymore when
she can't even remember her own name. Of course she will. That's what

(18:14):
I'm saying. Democrats cling to power. Republicans do as well, but not
to the extent that Democrats do.Democrat I mean again, the idea of
being a Democrat is you, allof you. If you vote Democrat,
you like authoritarianism, You want thegovernment to do more. You want the
government to If you're going to putthe best possible face on it, you're

(18:37):
going to say, I want thegovernment to take care of the poor,
to make sure that there are jobs, to make sure all are clothed and
fed, to make sure all areensured. That's that's what a Democrat would
be be for. The Republicans wouldsay, we want less government because we
believe that Americans can or anybody canthrive. You don't have to just be
an American. If you were putin a system where I'm given more opportunities

(19:00):
because there's less government, that meansmore opportunities, and I have to pay
less in taxes. That incentivizes meto go on out and make more because
I get to keep more of thepie, all these types of things,
and yes, there'll be charities thattake care of the poor, but that's
because I'm giving to the charities becauseI have more money to give. I'm
not going to give to the charityif I don't have any money left over

(19:21):
after taxes. It's you know,I think that we have seen long enough
how America thrives under Republican policies. And some would point to George W.
Bush and his failure as president andsay, well, say that's what Barack
Obama was pointing at, especially thoselast four years, and saying we tried

(19:41):
it their way, now we've gotto go our way. Well, George
W. Bush did not implement Republicanpolicies, especially in his last four years.
He said some he was a rhino. He said the right things to
appeal to your conservative val and thenhe did the opposite. Barack Obama took

(20:03):
advantage of that, as did theDemocrat Party, and they drove us off
a socialist cliff with Obamacare, andso now we're trying to build these things
up. There was a four yearreprieve with Donald Trump, and thank god
we had that because right now, what you're starting to see is the real
fruition of their What did that guysaid, the pastor, the chickens are
coming home to roost? Yes,they are, as Barack Obama's pastor.

(20:29):
Yeah, m Reverend Wright that washis name, And you are right,
sir, And we're knee deep inchicken crap inside the Billway. And he
said, God bless America. No, no, God, America is in
the bob Okay. Hey, Sowe have a lot of core proceedings today.

(20:51):
We're talking specifically about what transcripts andthe grand jury and the special grand
jury in the state of Georgia aregoing to be allowed to be used as
they push all nineteen together now andstill cheezbearl still make in this case.
He's going to have the expedited trial, which apparently is going to take place,
and I guess the other defendants areexcited about that because it gives him
a little bit of a heads upon how the court's going to be ruling
on this. We already know theruling on this. We knew from the

(21:15):
beginning what the ruling is. DonaldTrump's a fellon wanted me to cut to
the chase. Donald Trump's a fellon. Can you just admit it and just
get to jail. Okay, allright. So, and uncle Larry,
you're still not right. He won'tbe trading in the oval office for a
rectangular jail. I don't know whatwriter was on strike when you needed a

(21:37):
better analogy than that, but youwent with it anyway, So thank you,
Uncle Larry. O'Donnell. Okay, all right. Now, in the
state of South Carolina, we've gotsomething written in the state newspaper. Actually,
this came from the posting courier.Kelly and I talked about this,
and I think that WBOC listeners arewell aware. We've been complaining about the
fact that state colleges don't do anythingreally to help us as a state by

(22:00):
preparing more people for jobs to helpour state. Now I understand that there
was a big announcement yesterday from thegovernor about our technical colleges and how great
we're doing, although I'm yet tofind the internet continues to rage against the
argument that we had the best technicalschools in the country. I'm not saying

(22:21):
that some tech schools don't do agreat job in curriculums, and I'm not
supposing all that I'm saying when yougo to the internet you look at the
best technics of schools in America. We don't have one above like number eighty
so without getting into the technical schools. It is referenced in the Posting Courier

(22:41):
article. The headline read South Carolinagraduate brain drain is real. And what
we have now is data from aresearch study of graduates major universities. University
of South Carolina is certainly key inthis study as well as Clemson, and
it gives you the whole list ofall the students that they followed after graduation.

(23:02):
Where do these people go and whatare they doing for a living.
And we're not doing a very goodjob of retaining our graduates to help businesses
in our state or to grow ourstate's economy through having an educated workforce,
which is one of the things we'veheard from companies when they're looking at South
Carolina. For lord knows, Iguess since I've been alive well. And

(23:25):
the frustrating part is that when youchartered these universities, the state universities,
they receive your tax dollars in orderto keep tuition low for in state students,
we're supposed to hammer the out ofstate students because we don't want them.
You don't want North Carolina and Georgiakids coming to South Carolina. The
reason you don't want them is becausethey're probably not going to stay here.

(23:49):
It's a benefit to live in SouthCarolina if you want to go to Clemson,
if you want to go to theUniversity of South Carolina, and there's
a bunch of other states that youcan choose that you can go to at
a dramatically reduced price because our taxdollars cover the tuition for you. Now,
that hasn't been happening. The majorityof the students that are now coming

(24:14):
to these universities are not from here. And what's happening is, and they
look at three different graduation years twentyten, twenty fifteen, and twenty twenty,
the overwhelming majority of these kids thatare from out of state are going
back to either where they came fromor some other state. They're not staying
in South Carolina. The point ofgiving the benefit to the in state kids

(24:37):
is because then they're going to getthe good education and then they're going to
help the businesses in our community. And I forget who we had on and
I wish I could remember who itwas, and I wish I could remember
the exact university. I think it'sWinthrope and they were crediting Winthrop University because
Winthrop would the president at the time, and I don't know if this is

(24:59):
still true. Would take surveys ofthe businesses in and around the upstate,
what kind of employees are you lookingfor? What kind of training do you
want them to have, and thenthey would pass that on to the students
that were coming in. Just soyou know, if you were to get
a degree in this, there's roughlyfive hundred jobs in the upstate that would

(25:21):
be paying you ninety thousand dollars ayear to start if you were to get
a degree in this. That hasa huge influence on kids who are eighteen
nineteen years old and they're staring downthe gun of a massive college debt.
I want to be able to makea lot of money. Sure, Oh,
if I do this, I willmake a lot of money. Then
I'm going to do that. We'renot doing that, And unfortunately, South

(25:45):
Carolina has paid a lot of moneyto educate the kids of Ohio, New
Jersey, Virginia, and Florida, and they've all returned for the most part,
over two thirds of them have left. No. Anecdotally, he has
had separate conversations from me. Probablysome people listening to this podcast have actually
talked to University of South Carolina studentsfrom Boston or Philadelphia or wherever who came

(26:11):
here to the honors student, tothe Honors college. They get the laptop,
the nice room, free tuition, the whole thing. So we can
get and attract these young bright mindsto bolster our position inside the US News
and World Report Best Colleges and Universitiesin America. Yeah, we've set it
up so that the presidents apparently andwhoever else is in the hierarchy, that

(26:32):
they are rewarded for not doing theirjobs. That they have a different you
know what I'm saying. They havea different set of goals. Their goals
are not to help the universe orthe state of South Carolina. It's to
get their university, Clemson, tobe the highest research academy or whatever in
some sort of BS thing that nobodycares. If you're the best research academy,
how does that help me? Itdoesn't. Now, to Daniel Rickham's

(26:55):
credit, he recognized this before hewon the mayor's race and as mayor,
he wanted to make sure that westarted building an environment. He's talking about
the amenities for apartment complex, it'sdowntown living, those kind of things where
he sees young graduates, and he'stalked about this, I think guests since
he graduated from USC, where yousee opportunities for us to have a thriving,
younger high tech typically because we havea lot of those opportunities with the

(27:18):
university in particular, so we growthat part of the population, when in
reality, what's been happening is ifit weren't for Charleston or Greenville, we
would have even fewer rights wate's remainingin the state of South Carolina because none
of the graduates wanted to stay inColumbia. Yeah. I again, if
I'm from wherever in search state andI'm gonna go do my in state university,

(27:41):
let's just use North Carolina because there'sso many kids coming from North Carolina.
I'm going to go to UNC,and my in state tuition for UNC
is double what the in state tuitionis for USC, And all of a
sudden, USC says, hey,we'll give you the in state tuition if
you come on down to South Carolina. Well, Hell's a great place to
come to school. You got agreat campus, You've got some fun things

(28:03):
to do. In five points, you knock out your four years. You
might even stay a year or twobecause you've got an internship at some law
firm or whatever it is that youthought you might do. But eventually the
attraction of going back home is morethan most people care to deal with.
They'd like to go back to wheretheir friends and family live. They already
know that neighborhood better. And thenwhat happens is that area benefits from the

(28:29):
technology or the brain power that we'veWe've trained them, your tax dollars trained
people to go to North Carolina andlure more jobs to North Carolina. We're
screwing ourselves. And then we hearfrom people, specifically Volvo comes to mind.
We were told them we had allthis educated work force ready to go.
They got down here, like whathappened to the educated workforce? They

(28:51):
called Micky Haley a liar. Yeah, you sold us if we came there
that you would have an educated workforce. You don't have that educated workforce.
Embarrassing is that? And a lotof our better students are not able to
even get it. I shouldn't saybetter. Obviously, if you're one of
the better students in South Carolina, you're getting into the universities of your choice
around here. However, the peoplethat would be will call them the middle

(29:15):
of the roads. Students who mighthave an opportunity to do something great,
