As teachers we want the folx in our room to feel comfortable and safe, right? In this episode we gently start to speak about how diet culture might be affecting our students or clients. First, we talk about shame. Shame that might get in our way when we do any anti-oppression or social justice: 'I'm going to learn about all the times I made mistakes'. I speak to navigate our shame, so that we may help our clients navigate their own. This episode is relevant to anyone who works with other people.
